The food here was very tasty. Our server, Logan, was timely and helpful with the menu. We were informed that the kitchen was backed up, but it wasn't a very long wait. It was crowded, but there was plenty of space to feel like you were dining privately.

Google
Always enjoy coming here. They do not take reservations. during the summer on the weekends There can be up to an hour long wait . however I noticed that they expanded their patio seating so perhaps that won’t be an issue this summer. It has great food and conversation starting artworks hang all around.

Stopped by for a quick bit after walking around. We sat outside. Wish there was music tho. lol We ordered a salad and a burger. Both were delicious. The salad with salmon was really good. Will definitely come back!

Took my husband here for Fathers Day, Easy going atmosphere, we waited sometime for server. We were unhappy with our seating situation and did ask to move wasn’t a problem. Staff was nice. Drinks were good. What I wanted wasn’t available so an alternative was picked. We enjoyed the evening nothing popped out to make it exceptional was just a normal dinner. If you are looking for a Burger and Bourbon this would be the spot. My son didn’t have a lot of options for chicken, strips or anything just spicy ones.

It feels like Tacoma has more burger places than fire hydrants. Most offer decent burgers, but few are unique in any way as to be memorable. Stack 571 has great burgers and a relaxed, casual environment to enjoy them in. But what really sets them apart are their whiskeys and milkshakes that can be boosted with whiskey or rum. On our most recent visit, we had sandwiches - Ruston Club and No Joke Nashville Hot Chicken - both of which were delicious, and a Key lime milkshake. The milkshake was out of this world; it actually tasted like you were drinking a great Key lime pie. They even got the crunchy graham cracker crust in there. This was their milkshake of the month, so I’m glad I got to try it before it’s gone. My only caution about this place is that it can be crowded on the weekends, which is not surprising since it’s next to the movie theater. We came for lunch on a weekday, so we got a table pretty easily.

Google
Great option of a wide variety of food that can accommodate almost anyone who may be looking for a savory or sweet item. They have a decent of milkshakes that I am sure can be made for an adult or child. They got meaty burgers that are mouth-watering hard to resist for meat lovers. I did enjoy their Happy Hour, which had a select appetizer and drinks. I did get the Fried Green Tomato's, which weren't too bad, but did lack a minor sessioning. However, the fries with hot gravy and cheese curds and caramelized onions are a home run. Another slight issue was that my glass was dirty and had left lip residue on my glass by a patron who dined in earlier than I did.

Google
We got the queso fundito start and it was ok. It was pretty grainy and the flavor was so so but it was cheese sauce and it’s hard to really dislike cheese sauce. The burger dip was on a good roll but didn’t have a ton of flavor. The Nashville chicken sandwich was pretty disappointing. The sauce had decent heat but it was way too sweet and the “soft white bread” it was served on was kind of dry. The Parmesan truffle fries were ok. Decent crisp and fine flavor. The waffle fries were quite good and the stack sauce for dipping was tasty. I’d give this place another chance and try a few different items but not in a rush to go back.

We love stack 571! The burgers are so good & so are the drinks. Very kid friendly which is also a big plus for me 💗

Yelp
Choose Stack 571 for an adult night out with my cousins! I loved the idea of the new burger sampler that was on the menu. They had a variety of burgers to choose from so having the option to order a sampler and choose 3 different burgers was an amazing opportunity. My favorite burger hands down was the Bahi Mi burger. We sat at the bar and the service provided from both bartenders was excellent and they were very personable and joining in our conversation about what bar we wanted to go after and helped with ideas. I enjoyed every moment at Stack 571 and happy we have this burger restaurant close to home! Thank you!!

Yelp
I should of taken a photo. This was probably the worst burger I have ever had. I ordered the dip burger. meat was well over cooked, very dry, hardly and onions or cheese. We also ordered the appetizers brussel sprouts , do not recommend ordering this as well.. My wife ordered the monthly burger, had very good flavor, but the egg was fully cooked. Frys were luke warm. The final was my wife ordered a milkshake, she had to remind them after we finished our meal..They did not apologize, they did bring it and indid noticed we were not charged for it. Definitely other great burgers places around, dont think we will be back anything soon. I will say very impressive bourbon selection. If we go back thats all we will order!

Yelp
Went to dinner on a Tuesday night at around 8:00. Our party of 6 was able to walk in and get a table. They have a variety of burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, whiskey flights, beers, etc. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 sandwiches and I had a small salad. The service was just okay. She didn't come around too often to check on us. I asked her about parking and she told me to go to the iPad at the entrance for it. When we paid our bill and went to the IPad, we were supposed to check in on it with our license plate at the beginning of the meal, not at the end! The waitress could've told us that when I asked about it. I called her over to the iPad and she told us we were supposed to do it at the beginning of our meal and we might have a ticket on our car. She acted like it wasn't a big deal but who wants a ticket?! That brought this review down a couple stars. The food was good, my small salad was delicious but my girls had a hard time eating the sandwich as it was too large. She ended up taking it apart to eat. My husband enjoyed the whiskey flight and my daughter enjoyed her beer. The dining experience was good until the end when we did the parking check in thing. Luckily, we didn't have a ticket on our car. That would've been a big fat bummer but I feel like the anxiety was 100% avoidable if she told me about checking in when I asked her about it.

Yelp
Oh man, this place had great burgers! Really liked the location and the atmosphere. The only negative thing was the poor welcome and slow service. But would visit again.

Yelp
I had low expectations due to the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised (more like relieved). We came in on a Wednesday afternoon-- so they were slow despite for being happy hour. We were satisfied with our burgers and fries. Spent a little extra for Parmesan truffle waffle fries and it was worth it! The cocktails were just ok-- but the price was surprisingly less compared in Seattle/Bellevue. The food cost is definitely steep. It's about $20 per meal. I ordered from the combo sliders and I thought that was the best deal from all the menu. It was a great experience overall and I won't hesitate to try the franchise again.

Yelp
A decent burger place. A little bit on the pricier side as the portions are small but the burgers are pretty good. The service was okay, nothing too great. The place is always crowded!
google avatar

Rod B.

Yelp
Really nice vibe as soon as you walk in. Just FYI, this is not your every day burger joint. Little spendy if it was. These burgers are seriously elevated. They have a peanut butter and jelly burger! Not going to lie, I had to be seriously coaxed/pushed into trying it. It was amazing! The Banh Mi burger that is my favorite so far. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED getting the flight of sliders first so you can try more flavors at once. Great whiskey drinks as well. Definitely worth a bit of a drive to try out

Yelp
We've been going here since they've opened. They have great service and servers, great bartenders. I am never absolutely wild about their food. Sometimes it's under seasoned. Sometimes bland. Sometimes certain things are overcooked. But we keep going back - it's incredibly convenient right next to the movie theater, and we get $100 gift cards for $80 at Costco. Their greek burger I've had a taste of, from a friend's burger and I am planning on trying that myself next time.

Yelp
Went here on a Wednesday night and was seated right away. The server explained the parking validation as it was our first time here and it was great as that is taken off the bill at the end. The bartender was our actual server since we sat at the bar. We ordered a whiskey sour and it was good. Started off with some loco moco fries and that was amazing! We both ordered the sliders combo as it comes with salad or fries, but we opted for salad and also a milkshake or beer. Which we got the beer. Sliders were great, especially the pb&j as it was an interesting combination. The inside of the restaurant was clean and I love how they have the chalk board with burger of the month. Overall experience was great! Will have to definitely come back again!

Yelp
Today I visited Burger Whiskey Ball Stick 571 in Ruston and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. One of the waitress accidentally dropped food while delivering it to table causing sauce to spill onto both my clothes and my sister's. Regrettably, neither the manager nor any staff member apologized or addressed the situation in any way. Additionally, our starter was forgotten entirely and was only brought out after our main course, prompting us to remind the staff. Later o their staff told us waiter didn't even put order in. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall service and customer experience.

Yelp
This place was soo good. My mushroom burger was so delicious I got it with the wagyu meat was well with a side of sweet potato fries. And my key we got the tacos. Their drinks are ginormous as well wish I took a pic. Came here visiting with my friends and we brought 2 big dogs as well they were very accommodating an brought waters out as well for them. Will definitely be back if when in town again. The weather was perfect they had umbrellas for shade and right by the water so beautiful.

Alexander S.

Yelp
Been going here for years off and on for dinner or growlers, the food and beer were pretty good so I stuck with them even through a few pretty painful price increases. This time, they got through 40% of a growler before telling me they ran out and would charge me half price, which isn't really fair, but I wasn't going to throw it out or walk out so I agreed. At this point, they told me the price had increased per growler from $14 to $32, nearly double without warning! After a bit of polite pressing I got them down to a "generous" $14 for less than half a growler... I wasn't going to make trouble for the server so I just paid the ripoff and left. They even had the gall to warn me on the way out that they wouldn't "discount" me next time. No need to worry about that, as I won't coming back! The high staff turnover here probably indicates more than a few problems, none of the old staff would have treated someone like this.

Yelp
We absolutely love stopping in here from time to time when we're catching a movie next door. Today we had a delightful experience with a senior waitress training a newbie, who did a great job. Our meal was served promptly and food was delicious. The ambiance with all the back bar is a cool element as well.
google avatar

Chelle G.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place and I want them to win. The food and drinks are amazing. The only reason why I gave them a 4 star is because every time I go the service is not the best. We got seated with no menus and when the waitress came to take our order she looked at us like we were crazy because we didn't know what we wanted. We then had to wait a while before she came back to take our order after finally receiving the menus. Everything we ordered was delicious and reasonably price. If they can get their service together they will be a 5 star. Give them a try.

Yelp
HOW this place has such low reviews is beyond me. Stack 571 has the best burgers i have ever had in my 33 years of life. I literally fly up to Tacoma ONLY to goto Stack 571. I beg them to open locations in Southern California. Only reason i hate Stack is because it set the standard so high for burgers that i can't find a place that even comes remotely close to the how delicious their burgers are. I can't even enjoy In n out anymore because i just crave stack when i want a burger. I have brought many friends to this spot and they all agree it's the best burger we've ever had. I don't know what beef they use but it is ridiculous. Service has always been pretty good. No issues regarding service. Beautiful location right by the water. I lived in Washington briefly and the biggest thing I noticed was how unhappy the people there are. Probably due to the weather and guess they take misery out on yelp. I couldn't live there either cause of the rain so i get it. Don't listen to the bad reviews and i promise you won't regret trying this place!

Yelp
We had the blue cheese burger, fried green tomatoes, caprese grilled cheese and Mexican street corn. Everything except for the corn tasted like dirty fried grease. Extremely disappointed. Service was slow but good. Love the patio but food was a miss.
google avatar

Jenny A.

Yelp
This is located in the Ruston Waterfront. They validate parking so you get a couple hours free. Despite previous reviews, they are NOT dog friendly, not even on the patio. Ambiance is mildly cowboy. Service is solid. There is a wall of whiskey which I particularly like. They also have whiskey flights! Happy hour is 3-6pm daily! Whiskey flights are not included in the HH. Theres a small selection of appetizers that are included on HH. I asked for the BBQ calamari to have sauce on the side but maybe they forgot. Somehow they were able to make this into the most American tasting calamari I've ever had. Loco moco fries were basically poutine with a fried egg on top. Not too bad! Burgers are non-HH. They are good but overpriced for what you get. I got the banh mi burger. Nicely reminiscent of a banh mi sandwich but by no means interchangeable. I swapped my fries to onion rings and received 5 rings. The saving grace was that they were pretty large, but also a little over-battered. This is also a local chain restaurant. There's multiple locations up into Seattle.

Yelp
Stopped in for our first time on a warm weekday afternoon. We had a group of 8 and were sat in 15 minutes. Food: We all ordered burgers. We had the 571 burger, PB&J burger, blue cheese burger, and even the kids burger. We tried them all and in summary they are not that great. They were just an overpriced standard hamburger. The burgers were even on the dry side and didn't have a ton of flavor. Fries are definitely on point though with a really tasty aioli sauce. Service: waiter was always around when you needed him but was also rude. Definitely could use some better customer service. Ambiance: Honestly I would have preferred to sit outside because it was super hot inside. They had these little fans blowing that just blew warm air at you. It's way too hot in there on a nice day. Summary: while looking for a great new place to try on Ruston Point... keep walking past 571

Yelp
Great service, casual vibe and tasty food. They have great gluten free options. The PB&J Burger is my fav.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
Excellent burgers and efficient, friendly service. The burger selection was great. I had a patty melt, husband had a "three pepper bomb". Both were exactly what we anticipated.
google avatar

Yelp
Best gin martinis ever, and amazing truffle fries! The bar interior is pretty casual, so I was NOT expecting high-end cocktails. But I've been to bars and restaurants all over the world and have never had a dirty gin martini this good. Romney was our bartender, and by the second martini my friend and I were ready to order a full pitcher (but decided that would take away from the artistry, ha). The truffle fries were a perfect complement and came out steaming hot. Service was quick and efficient despite a full house, which was important on this occasion because we were trying to make it to a movie next door. Real hidden gem here.

Yelp
So glad we stumbled across this place! All 6 of us LOVED our burgers and fries. Shakes were delicious too! Super friendly staff Felt like the tables/floor/restrooms were super clean Next time we are in the area we will Be sure to stop by.

Chris B.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Pricey... Got to love a place that brings out your water in whiskey bottles. Talk about having choices of booze: their selection list takes about 8-9 minutes of scanning, and I'm not certain that did it justice. Their burgers had some weird and very odd combinations but the one I had was very good. Adult drinks were a bit anemic (1/2 star off). Guess they were running low on bourbon and found a funnel and faucet to refill the bottle, or the bartender was a bit rushed and spilled the shot glass on the way to our drinks.
google avatar

Amber W.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere even on a busy day. The bun and bread for the club sandwich was disappointing. Seemed dried out and fell part quickly. The quality of the rest of the food was good and we would give it a second chance.
google avatar

Tasha L.

Yelp
This is definitely the place if you like whiskey or boozy milkshakes! The lucky charms boozy milkshake was absolutely amazing! The jacked up waffle fries, and poutine burger are so delicious and decent portion sizes. Head this way if you are in need of a carb coma. Everything was amazing and out waitress was so sweet and friendly
google avatar

Holli M.

Yelp
Great location to walk around and enjoy the ocean scenery. Parking is free for 2 hours if you dine in at any restaurant. Good burgers and drafts on tap available. Our waiter was very informative and offered good food selections.

Kim S.

Yelp
Great food, service, bartenders. Closes way too early considering it's next to a higher end movie theater and million dollar condos.

Vince M.

Yelp
Service was good, but the food was by far one of the best burger places I have eaten at. The Loco Moco Fries was great, and the Jucicy Lucy burger was definitely worth it.
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Stopped in alone while shopping in the area. Staff was very friendly but the food left a little to be desired. The blue cheese fries just weren't edible. I love strong cheese and this was just to much.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Came here last minute for lunch, we got the black and blue burger, poutine burger, Nashville hot chicken wings, and drinks. The black and blue burger with truffle fries were outstanding. Cooked well and flavorful. The chicken wings were overcooked and covered with a sauce that was more sweet and spicy Asian than Nashville IMO. Not bad, but not what we were expecting. The poutine burger was good, but not the the level of the other burger. 20 min wait but would come again!
google avatar

Nanci C.

Yelp
Had a great lunch before our movie right next door! Burgers were fantastic! Our lovely server, Kalei, was smiles and helpful... told us about all the different items. (Wish I knew her schedule, we would come back just to be served by her!) The atmosphere was inviting, although I was a little cold inside, everyone around us seemed to enjoying themselves.
google avatar

Sunshine D.

Yelp
Lively, open space whiskey bar. Family friendly. Great service! Love the fried green tomatoes & Buffalo calamari. They have a wide selection of adult drinks, includg boozy milkshakes. I haven't tried it but heard from the woman near me that they are delish and huge! Burgers are their specialty.
google avatar

April J.

Yelp
This is a great casual spot to meet up with friends! They have regular dining and the bar, which is pretty impressive with the full wall of liquor! Parking is available in the point Ruston garage. Remember to take a pic of your license plate so you can get it validated on the iPad when you first enter the restaurant. There's usually a wait on the weekends but plenty of shops in the area to walk around in the meantime. I got the Jimmy burger this time and it was more food than I could eat lol. The waffle fries were soo tasty. I think next time I'll stick to ordering appetizers and will try to come for happy hour which has good deals.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
Great service, nice location, descent prices, and even better food. They offer vegan options too! The restaurant itself is pretty big and cute inside. They also offer a couple of NA drink options which is great. And they have indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
I'm only giving you 3 stars due to the difficulty I had ordering online for takeout delivery. I went to the website filled in my order for a couple burgers, shakes, onion rings and fries. When I went to finalize my order, and your website said the burgers were not available. So we chose two different burgers and went through ordering only to have the burgers unavailable again. Now, at this point, We were ready to move on to another restaurant but I called the location and placed the order by phone. The two strawberry shakes were unavailable and we were missing an order of waffle fries. Not a big deal but can you please keep your online menu updated???? Your food is quality and I love your burgers but sometimes we just want to enjoy them at home.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Poor service, the food was subpar, I don't think I have ever experienced such bad communication from staff to management to back of the restaurant.
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
First off, I orders a plain burger nothing on it. they they messed it up. It's the most simple order, how hard is it to mess up? And one of the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend this place. On top of that it was a hour long wait and the service was terrible.

David V.

Yelp
The food wasn't that good. Fries were overcooked burger was mid. Had a guy seat us and he was being a d*c*.
google avatar

Robert E.

Yelp
Food was great! I had got three pulled pork sliders and that filled me up. They're a little bigger than you might think. Good drinks!
google avatar

Dave G.

Yelp
Solid burger - the double stacked patties, fixings, cheese and sauce work well together to produce a super juicy burger. Fries are decent and crisp - not the best I've tried but just solid. Shake was clearly made with scooped ice cream so no complaints. We came in just after a large 16+ party so service was on the slower side but the order came quickly and the server threw in a bonus shake - very nice of her!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Nice burger joint to visit if your touring the Ruston area. Enjoyed a Salmon burger with waffle fries and a mixed whiskey drink. Nice burger joint to visit if your touring the Ruston area. Enjoyed a Salmon burger with waffle fries and a mixed whiskey drink.

Yelp
The service here was awkward to say the least. Where you walk into the business is the most awkward and back office type space I've ever seen immediately inside the doors to a bar or restaurant. The staff was friendly but all extremely awkward for what I assume is probably a location that sees a lot of business... but onto the real issues. Why ask how I want my burger cooked if you're just going to ignore it? Who taught these people to fry an oyster mushroom? They were dreadfully dry and fried past being recognizable or edible. The burger patty broke apart dumping everything off of it. I wouldn't even rank this as bar food I would look forward to again? I also tried one of their vodka cocktails. It was just sugary and gross. Wasn't well balanced despite the lemon juice. Wouldn't recommend. Maybe this is a whiskey bar and everything else is just there? I don't personally drink whiskey, but maybe that's what this place does well? Wouldn't recommend the food or other cocktails.

Yelp
Walked into Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar on Father's Day afternoon. The wait time for a party of four was 1.5 hours, which was completely understandable, given the day. There looked to be some open seating at the bar, and to our luck, a high top with four seats was available, too. The restaurant was busy, but service was not slow by any means. We started with some tempura oyster mushrooms and street corn, which were both equally delicious. My only gripe was the host-busboy took our plate to make room for our entrees with an uneaten quarter-cob of corn. For warmer sunny days, they have outside seating for patrons, which would help with seating availability and wait times, but it was far too chilly to sit outside that day. Otherwise, the vibe check fit the theme of the restaurant. I always appreciate being able to see into the kitchen, and on our way out, was able to thank the kitchen staff for our delicious meal. I got too carried away in conversation to remember to take any pictures of the burgers, but everyone was satisfied with the burger they chose. I had half a burger I took home as leftovers, and it warmed up great and just as tasty for lunch the following day!

Yelp
The food is good. Too bad the l service here is trash, will never be back! Didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink except for water. Inconsiderate staff and cold venue.

Yelp
Well, so far I've had mediocre experiences at Stack. Being a vegetarian, my options are usually appetizers or a veggie burger, which is fine. It is what it is. They do offer the beyond patty, however it is $1.95 extra, which I think is ridiculous! My partner says the hamburgers are actually really good, so for you meat eaters, I think you will like this place. Anyhow, we went down last night because we had a gift card. We sat in the bar and were promptly greeted, however it took about 15 minutes to actually get my beverage. I saw it just sitting there getting warm. It was driving me nuts. We weren't told about any products being unavailable, so I decided I would venture out and try the banh mi burger. I ordered this and was told there is a Sriracha shortage, so they aren't offering that burger. I asked for a few minutes to pick a different burger and decided on the truffle burger. I was then told they were out of cambozola cheese. Oh my goodness! At this point I was getting a bit annoyed because I feel like those things should have been mentioned when we arrived. I settled on the plain beyond burger with truffle fries. I would have loved to have had a side salad option. I am not a fry fan, although if you are, and you like parmesan and truffle, they were really good. Unfortunately, I could only eat a few because fries aren't my jam. What could have been a reasonably decent experience turned into a bit of a disappointment, but they are fortunate to have the location at Pt. Ruston, so I guess they don't have to be great.

Yelp
Excellent food and whiskey bar with adequate pricing given location on Ruston Point. We had Rich as our server and even though he got slammed over the holiday weekend, he was flawless. Known for stacking the meat on their burgers and creative toppings, give them a try and then walk it off with a stroll along the waterfront.

Yelp
Tacoma Ruston Way waterfront area has changed so much! I haven't visited this area in 20 years and I love the improvements! This restaurant is located in Ruston Point that offers plenty of views of the Puget Sound and several apartment developments. There are a few shopping spots and plenty of other restaurants nearby but take advantage of the sidewalks along this view! Our group wanted to eat lunch and decided on a burger spot! I looked at the menu and felt the need to try the Three Pepper Bomb burger! Full of flavor but definitely not spicy! I loved it and recommend it! The waffle fries comes with 3 sauces but I prefer the sweet sauce. It just tastes amazing with it! Great service, great views and great lunch spot!

Yelp
I came here yesterday with my best friend and her son while we were attending Tacoma pride and the service as well as the food was excellent. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the food before devouring it (my apologies, lol) but I wanted to leave this review regardless. We had many options of places to go eat at yesterday with all the food trucks as well as all the other restaurants in the point Ruston area but I've been to Stack several times in the past and have enjoyed the shakes and burgers here and my friend's son said he'd like to try the food here rather than the other options. I had a lucky charms s'mores shake which is one of the best on the menu (I also highly recommend the bananas foster one though !), as an appetizer I got Loco Moco fries for us to share and we all agreed they were delicious (these fries had a yummy gravy with onions, pieces of ground beef and a fried egg on top) They certainly did not disappoint! asked about them and our server highly recommended them. They were hands down my favorite part of the meal !! I also got a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich that had a jalapeño slaw, bacon and honey with a ceaser salad on the side which were also cooked well and tasted very good. My friend and her son shared a salmon sandwich with fries which they really enjoyed! It was an awesome lunch with great friends and we will very likely be back for more Loco Moco fries !!
