Skip the brisket nachos, not worth it at all. The brisket and salas are sweet and the meat was definitely burnt. The cauliflower wings would be top notch if they wernt floating on a bed of ranch (put it as a drizzle on the top or in a cup on the side). Also where was the buffalo sauce? It was basically fried cauliflower in lake ranch. Bit of a let down. The shrimp tacos are okay but the corn slaw is lost on it. Shrimp is perfectly seasoned to be over powered by too much side pieces Now, Im a good southern woman and let me tell you: this place has the best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten. It's not so much the tomato it self cause let's face it, they used small greens that were a little under ripe. However their ingenuity to combine the textures and flavors with a perfect fry is what makes them so good. I would love to see this done with a beautiful large green tomato. The mac and cheese sandwich is subpar. The Mac it self is a bit lack luster and not well cooked. Prices were great and portions were phenomenal. Staff was super sweet. Definitely worth going to. Would return for sure

Google
The food and staff are amazing! They were helpful and patient with my kids ordering and specializing their dishes. Large portions that make the price so worth it. Amazing salmon, burgers, salads, risotto, appetizers and HUGE pieces of cake for dessert. Highly recommend. Will definitely come again!

Google
This was honestly the best food and service I have experienced in 5 years in Montana. We went with our 15 month old on Friday and we had a burger, cauliflower wings and a ginger salad with grilled Ahi. I can't remember the name of the waitress but she was awesome. We will come back.

Google
Great food. Loved the Brisket nachos and Brisket sandwich. Paired well with the truffle fries. Been back twice now for the truffle fries, last time got the garlic ranch aioli. Just absolutely worth every penny. If you and the lady are wanting a date or just a date night snack, don't skip them fries.

Google
First time going here, and I was not disappointed. The food was plenty and delicious. We got the rancher burger, a pulled pork sandwich, and I got the dip, which is a French dip. The fries were very tasty and well seasoned.

Timothy Sawyer

Google
Meh. The fries were real good, but i wasn't too impressed with the burger. To each his own I guess. Bun was too much for me, burger was more on the medium rare side and the medium I asked for. Felt like crap afterwards.

Came in today with my wife and kid. Atmosphere was great, usually need a booth to keep my little one contained. This was facilitated. Im not able to eat seeds or nuts due to diverticulitis. Your server was very knowledgeable on what dishes have seeds or corn and helped steer me away from them. (sorry i forgot to ask her name but i was here around 1 pm) Now I ordered the special today it was like a provolone and mushroom burger. I've eaten at quite a few award winning burger joints but this was most definitely the best burger I've ever tried. I see why yall have so many award winning burgers I will definitely be back, everything from service to the food was perfect. The truffle fries are definitely worth trying as well.

Google
Not very busy and theres 3 people working. Nachos were good until they mashed together.. mushrooms were bland. Took 15 minutes to get a new coors light bottle. Zoom burger cooked to "Med well " came out charred burnt and tasteless. Parm fries were a bed of cold fries with Kraft Parmesan cheese sprinkled atop. No one checked back to see if everything was okay. When they did interact they weren't very friendly. Although the place wasn't busy, we still felt like we were being pushed out. I can see why this place, amongst many busy restaurants in the area, had immediate seating.

Yelp
To say everything here was amazing is an understatement. We came here to accommodate a comfy seat for my father in law. The service, the food, and the ambiance was all amazing. The only bad thing? The food was so great I didn't get a picture of it first. We got the zooM burger, the best bite burger, the blackened salmon salad, the street taco special(cajun chicken) and the western burger. Everyone enjoyed our food. As a special touch, my fiance got it without a bun so they put all of the sauces and toppings in containers so she could put them on herself. If you're in the area and haven't tried this place you are FAILING! I can't rank it to other places near by but I can't see how it gets much better.

Yelp
Came by for lunch around 1:00-ish on a Wednesday. The hostess and bartenders were super friendly, I never had to ask for anything, and the food was AMAZING. The braised pear crostini was one of the best appetizers I've ever had (fair warning, the honey is glazed pretty generously so I suggest using silverware with that one) and the shrimp tacos were awesome. The music was pretty nice, the beer selection was good, all around a great experience. For context, I'm in the middle of a 1900-mile drive across the country and this place was definitely one of the highlights.

Yelp
My husband said it was the best Mac and Cheese he's ever had (& he has tried 1000000 Mac and Cheese dishes! Good service. Fair prices. Definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
We were very disappointed in the service tonight. It started with the server replacing the wine we ordered with another without asking. Even though the restaurant was not busy we waited over 20 minutes to place our order and that was after we went and found a server. The diners at the next table asked 4 times for a box and their check. We observed that the servers favored men and neglected women.

Yelp
A Disappointing Evening at Stacked, A Montana Grill My recent solo visit to Stacked, a Montana Grill, on a Tuesday night around 7 PM was unfortunately a letdown. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was exceptionally slow and frustrating. I opted to sit at the bar and ordered a draft beer along with the chicken fried chicken. What followed was a bewildering wait. It took a full 30 minutes for the server to even take my order. I had to ask "can I please order?" She continued to mess around in the back by the server station with another server and take 5 more minutes to come back for my order. This was particularly baffling as an older couple seated at a table behind me, who had arrived before me, also had to actively seek out a server to place their order even later than I did. Adding to the frustration, about 10 minutes after finally ordering, I was informed that the chicken fried chicken was unavailable. This lack of timely communication meant I had to quickly choose an alternative- the "Best Burger." The wait for my revised order was approximately 20 minutes, which might not sound terrible, but the issue was the glaring inconsistency. A family of four who arrived at the bar well after I did not only received their food but were actually leaving by the time my meal finally arrived. This was incredibly irritating and highlighted a clear disconnect in the kitchen's pacing or the server's attention. Throughout the entire experience, my server, who sported a "wanna-be Billie Eileish" look, exhibited a noticeable lack of concern for customer service. Her tone of voice was indifferent and certainly didn't inspire confidence that she cared about my experience. The burger I ordered was okay, it had good flavor and was put together well, but quickly fell apart and became soggy due to the thin un-toasted bun It was served on. the fries sprinkled with Parmesan cheese "truffle fries" resembled a diner's generic fry and were okay as well. Nothing worth $20 however. Given the incredibly slow service, the disorganization, and the overall indifferent attitude of the staff, I will definitely not be returning to Stacked, a Montana Grill. I was genuinely excited to try a new local spot, and this experience left me feeling thoroughly disappointed.

Yelp
I looked this place up before visiting Billings and was not disappointed. The French dip was absolutely stunning...

Yelp
We want a couple of weeks ago, the good was great. I had an Asian bowl, my wife had steak Alfredo. The wasabi deviled eggs are great. We went back, apparently the top 5 sellers on the menu were removed ( including the Asian dish). I opted for the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The potatoes and mushroom gravy were good. The meatloaf has horrible. It has an overpowering taste of either rosemary or something similar. My wife's dish of steak Alfredo was lacking flavor. Not sure the thought process behind the decision of removing top sellers, but IF I go back, I'll pass on the meatloaf

Yelp
A very surprising place! Was greeted right away in a kinda of an old bar looking place, and still thinking it was more of a bar than a place to eat. Bar food can be a BIG hit or miss. I took a seated and was helped right away. Smelling the food that had been served to them, looked amazing and smelt good! Well, I ordered the "Sirloin on Fettuccine " Medium cooked. I know, a risk in a bar looking joint. Well, it was served quick and was I surprised! The steak was extremely juicy and flavorful, and the Fettuccine was marvelous!! The red peppers gave it a little kick and all around, was great and the bread that came with it, warm and moist!! This is a place I will surely go back to!

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner here yesterday. We arrived around 5:30 and almost all the seating was available, but by the time we left an hour later, it was packed! It's sort of a sports bar, and if your back is to the TV screens, you can still join the party by watching through the mirrors hung across the walls. My husband and I shared three appetizers that were all excellent! The fried green tomatoes were perfect, the stuffed naan was delicious, and the wedge salad was so good, we didn't even need the dressing. I am vegetarian so I asked for the salad without the bacon. The grilled halloumi taco bowl (they will convert tacos into a bowl if requested) was so fantastic, I didn't need the dressing for that, either (I just used the fresh guacamole and salsa instead). The desserts are also great and totally made in-house. The chocolate cake is a generous slice and the bananas foster crème brûlée speaks for itself! I wish I had taken photos of the rest of the meal, but everything was well presented and looked so good, we just dove in.

Yelp
It was okay. I didn't like the brisket nachos. Too sweet. My sandwich was okay. Service was okay. Not too busy, seemed under staffed, but our waitress was pleasant.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Good food and service. It's not a huge place so sometimes you may have to wait for a table because they don't take reservations and depending on the night and how busy they are. I highly recommend it for the quality of food and the good service.

Rob K.

Yelp
Overall this place is good. The atmosphere is casual and the service is good. I have eaten here a couple of times and I always enjoy the meal. This latest time I ordered a ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Sides tasted good as well. They have a nice beer selection including local brews. If you're in downtown Billings and looking for a nice place to eat, check this place out.

Edward S.

Yelp
While I've never eaten at the downtown location, I am very pleased with the menu options and setting provided at the Billings airport location. Why worry about your flight details when you can have a wonderful meal with great service only minutes away from your gate? Adds great ambiance to the travel experience.

Yelp
Let me say we were in for a quick dinner after driving 650 miles. We were the first customers after opening. Told to take any seat we wanted. The place was clean but clearly felt its age and lack of care. The server was good, offered several suggestions which I did take and ordered. I had the Best Bite Burger with truffle fries and my Wife had the Western Burger with the same fries. On the wall behind our seats were trophies and plaques declaring the best burger, champion burger, world class burger, etc., so my expectations were high to say the least. My burger had bacon jam, goat cheese, arugula, tomato slice on a thick sourdough type roll, not a bun. I asked for it to be hot pink in the middle and it came out as rare, just warm in the center. Good size patty with no flavor at all, not even salt or pepper. The bacon jam was cold and VERY sweet. The goat cheese was overpowering and the rest of it had no taste or texture benefit at all. The wife's burger was not very hot and had little flavor either. The star was a beautifully crispy and flavorful plate of fries with truffle seasoning sprinkled over the top. This would not be in my top ten to go back to.

Yelp
Service was wonderful as they were all friendly. The food was amazing. First time in town and the first restaurant we tried, and we liked it. Place absolutely cozy.
google avatar

Lynn E.

Yelp
Food and service both great! Hubs had delicious French dip and I had the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had.

Richard N.

Yelp
They offer an amazing variety of options, for both lunch and dinner. I am told that the chef is considered one of the best in town. My son lives in Knoxville and said that this restaurant is a refreshing new experience. We have never had a sub excellent dining experience. I hate to mention it, but a couple of the waitresses/waiters could be trained some more. Other than the 2 or so, the rest of the staff is excellent.

Lynne W.

Yelp
Large portions, good food and service. Not very busy, but we showed up after 1 o'clock, most of the lunch crowd were leaving.
google avatar

Kristee L.

Yelp
What a wonderful place. The foo was great and so was our waitress her name is Sydney. Friendly clean and amazing food!!

Kim M.

Yelp
Awesome food and service! The deviled eggs were especially delicious. We plan on going back the next time we're in town.
google avatar

Kristin K.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in the area and I have nothing but good things to say about stacked. I have been here many time. My favorites are the Cajun steak sandy, Ruben and the burgers. Thale atmosphere is borderline sophisticated and the service is terrific!

Lynn F.

Yelp
Food was good, try the Fried Green Tomatoes. 2 of us, ordered a beer, sandwich & entree salad..generous portions. Sydney was our server, very attentive & prompt & professionally friendly. It was not so busy on a Thurs. night & our seating toward the back was fairly quiet so we could converse. Nice, relaxing light supper..good service from Sydney...would return...

Yelp
We were staying at the Northern Hotel and were hoping to eat somewhere close (Stacked is right across the street). It was great! The server was super friendly and attentive and my dinner was excellent. I had the Pan Seared Pesto Salmon. The salmon is atop mushroom wild rice risotto. It was very delicious. I would love to come back... problem is, we are from Milwaukee
google avatar

Steve N.

Yelp
Excellent food. I have been to Stacked only twice, but both times, the food was excellent. There is fully attentive service. The prices are fair. On both occasions, I was surprised that the restaurant/bar was not busier. It seems that the prices and quality support this to be more popular that it seems to be. Over the past few days, I had a French dip sandwich and fries at Stacked, and at a place across the street that has many more diners. Hands down, the sandwich and the fries at Stacked was better. Better quality meat, more favorable fries, better service. My recommendation, try Stacked first.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Went for lunch and got their steak salad. The thing was loaded with steak! It was nicely seasoned and I enjoyed the wasabi dressing. I'd return to try their burgers.
google avatar

Karl A.

Yelp
This was my first good stop in Billings and it set the bar high! I came in late and was just going to grab my food to go, but it was pretty empty inside, so I grabbed a chair and hunkered down. Everything inside was nice and clean and the place is very inviting. Brice took my order as soon as I was ready and it was a quick 10 minutes and my Rancher Burger was sitting in front of me. This is a good masterpiece! The fried cheese, fried onion, and garlic aioli combination is pure joy! Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic interior! I can't wait to get back!
google avatar

Virginia B.

Yelp
We've eaten here often. Last night, service was slow and food wasn't as good as its been in the past. Wedge salad with balsamic reduction and blue cheese was excellent however.
google avatar

Beau S.

Yelp
The menu is outstanding and the food lives up to it. Excellent staff. Would highly recommend for date night, bring your parents to dinner, etc.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
We've given Stacked a couple tries, but after todays lunch not sure we will make it a priority. I got the Roasted Turkey Club, and I could have gotten a better sandwich at Subway. Cold lunch meat, cold cheese, advertised to have avocado on it, (which maybe looks like there is a tiny glimpse of it on the top bun) nothing about this was Roasted. Dry, cold sandwich. Every time we have been the service has been subpar, waiting forever for beers, our tab and never getting checked on. With Brew Pub across the street rocking it in every department you'd assume Stacked would step their game up.

Erin J.

Yelp
The Zoom Burger is so good! The burger they use tastes top-shelf. Service is great. Definitely a place to check out.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
I was excited to eat here and treat myself on the last night of my trip. There was ample seating at the large bar, even on a busy Friday night. I debated what to order but went with the Southwest Filet, which came green chili-spiced beans and rice over chili lime sauce. My filet was great, although it was maybe slightly cooked over my requested MR. The sides just didn't go together and were good separately, just not necessarily combined. I also enjoyed two glasses of prosecco, which was delicious and reasonably priced. What I didn't love what that as soon as they clear your plate, they drop your check without even asking if you wanted anything else. I watched them do it to others as well, so I wasn't the only one. It just felt so rushed. There wasn't a wait, and they weren't closing, so there was no need to rush us out.

Becky S.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this restaurant two weeks in a row. We both ate different items and all have been enjoyed. My son also ate the bacon burger and really liked it. Good beer selection and easy to have conversations.
google avatar

Manni Rhys A.

Yelp
Shared the truffle fries (okay) and had the cauliflower Buffalo wings for myself (also okay). Food was nothing exceptional. Just typical bar food, frankly. The breading was caked on and felt too heavy, but maybe it's just up to personal preference.
google avatar

Kellie J.

Yelp
The ZooM burger was everything I was craving and more. Espresso rub, goat cheese, fried green tomato, honey cheddar cheese if that isn't enough it also has blackberry roasted jalapeño sauce. Flavor explosion! The truffle shoe string fries were perfectly crispy. To drink I had the Prickly Pear Pale Ale which I enjoyed. Located in a convenient location downtown, just minutes walk from my hotel. My server was efficient and friendly. There were only a few of us dining at 3pm on a Tuesday so to say the food came out quickly was expected. I would definitely recommend Stacked.
google avatar

Rhonda T.

Yelp
Quick and efficient service. Fish tacos were delicious. The buffalo chicken tacos were excellent. The Brisket with Mac&Cheese and crispy onions was exceptional.
google avatar

Armin Z.

Yelp
Great food, and great service. We got the steak tips for an app, the bacon Mac n cheese sandwhich, and the brisket melt. All were fantastic, would def recommend.
google avatar

Suzy Q.

Yelp
Consistently great food! Good downtown vibe. Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Great for business lunches or dinner with friends.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Went out for a burger and beer , good times , and a good selection of brews . Had the Rancher , looking forward to trying a different burger next time around. The service was prompt.

Yelp
GREAT food! I think this is one of my favorite restaurants. With an ice cream place on the corner, the Northern hotel and a martini bar close by, this feels like a more active part of town. The place has the vibe of a dive bar that has been cleaned up. The pear/goat cheese crostini was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Seriously. The truffle oil fries seemed to disappear pretty fast, too. Our group ordered the Mac with shrimp, the salmon with mushroom rice, one of the steaks, and I had the cornbread chicken and waffle to try something different - ate every bite. SO good. Had to take the goat cheese cheesecake to go; I was too full. Teron, our waiter, was awesome. Wish they served cocktails but the wines were good. I've only been here once, but I'd almost make the trip to Billings again just to eat at this restaurant.

Bill B.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with our son for his 50th birthday! Far exceeded what we expected had forgotten how excellent their food is since it has been quite a while since ate there. Numerous thinks to choose from we decided to go with the ZooM burger (2 or 3 other burgers that looked good). Wow one of the best I've had(that is saying something since I use to travel for work and ate out a lot). I one of the things everyone in our party liked beside the quality of the meat was the ciabatta bun served it was served on. Sauce was outstanding and just the right amount of spice. I would definitely recommend it but am looking forward to going back again! The fries were outstanding some of us had plain and some with truffle fries. Be sure to save room for desert we had cheesecake(huge piece) and banana Foster brûlée. Service was awesome and nice quiet upscale dining experience. Can hardly wait to go back

Yelp
Visited this spot on a work trip to Billings. We started with the beef tips- highly recommend these. Full of flavor and a good serving. For my entree I got the strawberry salad! Very tasty and LARGE salad. Would order again
google avatar

Andy N Angie O.

Yelp
We dined with a party of 7. Six of the meals were very tasty and all the portions were very generous. My 3 star rating reflects 1 meal that was very very disappointing. Ordered was a medium rare steak with a side of roasted brussel sprouts. The steak was served eviscerated!!! The border of the steak looked crispy, resembling burnt ends. The middle was very well done. My advice, order anything but steak. I had the gnocchi, it was great and my husband really enjoyed his salmon and brussel sprouts.

Lynda L.

Yelp
Really nice place, good service and fun, delicious food! Unique appetizers and great sandwiches!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
I clearly ordered the wrong thing here. The chicken and waffles sounded good and then when it came out I was turned off. The chicken was a boneless cutlet; not what I was expecting. The cornbread waffle had no body to it and fell apart each time I touched it with the fork. The red sauce was good. Decent beer selection. What really shined was the staff and specifically Alecia. I was visiting from out of town and being the only person in there at 6pm we striked up a really interesting conversation. She gave me some good information about the local scene. I will be coming back for a sandwich as I hear that is the thing to order.
google avatar

Chun P.

Yelp
A bit of an upgrade from the popular Montana Brewing Company across the street, with slightly higher prices, but much quieter, classier, and more mature for better conversation and/or a family dinner with the kids. $12 Western Burger...good burger with thick bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheese. But the tasty shoestring fries are the best in Billings $4 Garden Salad...they have an "apple vinegarette" dressing, it was sweet and delish. Kaylinn is a friendly waitress, clean environment, and reasonable prices...worth a try.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious!!! The ribeye had so much flavor and was seasoned so well! It came with chef's choice of veggies (Brussels sprouts) and I chose garlic mashed potatoes(super good, but little too much pepper). My bf enjoyed his buffalo ribeye, but after trying my ribeye he was bummed he didn't have my steak! Mine definitely had more flavor as the buffalo is more lean, but it was still tasty. His came with roasted potatoes which were flavorful and crispy and broccolini cooked perfectly. We started with the truffle fries were amazing!! Omg so good! You don't need any sauces, just enjoy! So the food was incredible and thank God for that because our service was not. He seemed too busy with the five tables he had. He barely gave us the minimum service we needed, which was a shame and we needed to glad him down, he never came to check on us or see how things were. The other server seemed more attentive to her tables. They were cleaning tables and seating more people and we'd been sitting several minutes before we were even greeted. They all were wearing masks(although sometimes a nose was shown), tables were 6ft apart. Conveniently located in a cute central part of town.

Yelp
Were visiting Billings for a family matter and wanted to try a good steak in town. After looking at the reviews of various places, we decided to try Stacked and drove downtown around 5pm on Friday the 11th (Stacked was my wife's first choice while mine was another restaurant, Jakes Downtown). Walked in and was happy to see good Covid-19 setup (employees and customers not eating masked, tables distanced and a few other pluses in their approach). We were seated immediately and there were only three tables with people at them and there were 4 employees working the floor at the time, one bartender, one host and two waitresses. We waited more than 10 minutes but nobody came to take our drink order or food order/questions. Stood up to see if we could get someone's attention but two of the staff were talking, the bartender was making a drink and the presumed hostess that seated us was doing something on her phone. My wife didn't want to wait any more so we left for Jakes where we had excellent service and great steaks. Don't know if the food at Stacked would have been better, but the slowness of service and the lack of even looking up at a customer that had walked toward the employees standing at the end of the bar made us feel like they didn't really care for our business.
google avatar

Kjersti J.

Yelp
I ordered the CuSabi Shrimp Tacos and they were very likely the best tacos I've ever had. Already looking forward to going back for more!
google avatar

Shane M.

Yelp
Ordered a Stacked Cobb salad and a chicken sandwich to go. Both were excellent. The chicken sandwich is a meal for two. The chicken was crispy and still juicy inside. The salad was a never ending feast. Would definitely stop in again if in the area
