Stadtgarten Freiburg

I was hesitating to visit Stadtgarten as we have a dog. There was no review or any mention of dogs being allowed. I went there anyway to find it out myself. So, here it is: YES, dogs are allowed but on leash. Please pick up the poop. No excuse of not having a bag! The poop bags are offered at the entrance. Please fetch it. Sad to see that the Stadtgarten was used as a place to light up fireworks from the previous night, new year’s eve. Not a pretty sight. Can’t imagine what the poor animals in the area went through the whole night.

Love the vibes and the greenery around the park. So calming.

Very clean, beautiful park, with the playground for kids, and a large pound with ducks swimming around, just like fairytales coming to life.

Beautiful place, full of attractions. It has a very nice park for the children with a lot of toys and lots of open space to have fun with your dog or the kids. Good for picnics as well.

A lovely park, with lots going on. We went on a sunday and there was a man doing an excellent bubble performance for children, and a silver band playing music. Also there's a funicular to reach a beautiful viewpoint over the city.

A lovely green Eden just a short walk away from the very lively city centre. Good place to relax and recharge batteries for small and big.Enjoy the sunshine next to the lake or get some lovely cooling shades under the big trees. Good playground and often live entertainment.

Lovely, clean park with playground area for kids. Great for picnic outings and outdoor grilling (only in designated areas). Also great for fitness enthusiasts who can go for a jog, or run up the hiking trails and stairs. If you like, you can go up the hill using the Schlossbergbahn. From there it's about another 15min hike to the top, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.

A nice park especially for the kids with slides and swings and other things. Including sand to play in and duck pond. Plenty of walks up the hill. Coffee shop for good coffee.
