Meant to post this when I went on Monday, but by the time I left I was pretty tipsy, and I procrastinate LOL.
Having gone to the Tattletale for many years and celebrated many a birthday there, I was saddened to hear it was no longer there, but excited to try what replaced it. Very glad I did!
The upgrade and remodel look nothing like the days of old. Sleek and modern furniture, Cosmopolitan gray walls, and multiple TVs, make this a very cool neighborhood Sports Bar. They have actually added a kitchen and food, something that was always missing at Tattletale, as much as we loved those peanuts and popcorn hahaha. Standard bar food like wings and fries, but they were well cooked, well seasoned, and hit the spot. Our bartender for the evening was D, and he went above and beyond to extend warm and welcoming customer service. We had great conversation, and he made us three of his specialty drinks, that definitely put us on our, well...you know LOL. Though the website stated happy hour was from 4 to 6, when we arrived we were informed there was no such thing, but he told us he could definitely hook us up with some specials, and he did. We were not disappointed.
Gone are the coveted free drink tokens, red leather booths and dirty grunge, but what it's been replaced with, is definitely a good look. Major shout-out and kudos to Marlo and her brother (the new owners) whom I definitely look forward to meeting next time I venture in. Maybe by then, they'll have that happy hour thing worked out, but if not, D will definitely take good care of you!
