5280 Finds an Unsung Vietnamese Gem in Aurora | Eater Denver

"One of several neighborhood honkytonk holdovers contributing to Denver's enduring country-music culture; the venue is described as part of a lineage that began with early Curtis Street activity and was shaped by 1930s western films, sustaining the city's live-country scene." - Josie Sexton

Google
The dance venue was awesome, but if you are coming here looking for some great line dancing, choose another place. This is more or a venue for couples dancing. I spent 3 hours here and only had an opportunity to dance 4 times. Not a great selection of music to accommodate everyone’s taste. There is way too much sitting around by too many paying customers. I wasted my money tonight. Disappointing!

Google
I attended a line dancing event and an MMA event here and both events were well-managed and fun with good music quality. There is plenty of professional security that work here so safety does not feel like an issue. Food is very standard bar food and honestly on the expensive side (I think my friend ordered some mozzarella sticks for like $18). Drinks are standard pricing and mediocre cocktails. I asked for a cup of water and the bartender said “bottled only” for $3 a bottle. The customer afterwards asked for a cup of water and he got it. Overall, I’ll come here for specific events but wouldn’t go out of my way to unless necessary.

I've loved the new DJ music choices... It's been nice to go there and actually hear true country music on Wednesday nights, which is why we show up on Wednesdays.... To country dance. Thank you for caring about your audience.... And dancers...

Google
The place is fun and Gio is the best bartender! The the DJ is absolutely the downfall of here she’s always on the dance floor never plays the requested songs she has a terrible attitude if you ask for a song and she mostly plays swing dancing songs and says “ it’s not a line dancing bar” but most of the people are there for line dancing and people swing dance on the outside of the dance floor to most of the songs anyways. The “swing dancing songs” she plays aren't even songs to swing to it seems to me like she plays whatever she wants and gets away with it. I’ve heard at least a dozen other complaints from other people that regular there. The last few times I’ve been there the floor is empty… really unfortunate that the last DJ quit because it was so fun before.

Google
I want to start off by saying the management, staff, security, etc are all amazing and make this place great! I have been attending on Wednesday nights and have had the opportunity to teach line dancing here and I’ve really truly loved the community. Unfortunately, during one recent weekend, I was yelled at and cursed at by the DJ and instructor in front of other patrons after a misunderstanding involving music requests. The situation was brought to managements attention but, It was an upsetting experience that has made me feel unwelcome. I hope work can be done to create a more respectful environment for all guests alike, because the place itself has great potential.

Hannah F.

Google
I am a regular attendee on Wednesday nights and overall love being here. However, recently the DJ hasn’t been great. We have requested songs multiple times with them not being played… like ever. I wish there was more line dancing done before 1030. It’s definitely unfortunate to pay to get in and then dance only a few times until way later. Maybe add some more line dancing in earlier, the couples will dance to anything anyway so why not cater to both instead of mainly couples? Also, really wish the line dance instructor wouldn’t get so political. Also would really like it if more popular line dances were taught vs just the ones Laurie choreographs.

Nicholas N.

Google
I think this place is amazing I look forward to every Wednesday because of it but I’m looking through some of the reviews and it sounds like people are upset that they can’t dance it’s a huge floor and I think the staff has seen it and are trying to accommodate the two stepping people this is absolutely a line dancing bar and I have no problem whatsoever with two stepping songs but it’s come to the point where line dancing is barely played anymore which I don’t get because no matter what people find a way to dance with eachother anyways but I have found myself sitting a whole lot more then it used to there should be more of a balance for sure but overall a great bar

Such a cool venue! Went to see Nahko and Medicine for the People, the vibe was great!!

Yelp
Been coming to Wednesdays for a few months now. The new DJ on Wednesdays is not playing the entirety of the songs chosen and it's annoying.

Yelp
This made for a pretty great family day last weekend. It was really cold outside, but the kids were still excited to get in line for some delicious Boba. I was happy to see when we pulled up that they had food trucks and my favorite lobster rolls. We walked around the outside first to check out all the local booths and met with some great artist. When we went inside, the first thing, the kids did was have their name written out and we're greeted with packets of Ramen, which made them ecstatic. I'm not sure what it is about teens and preteen these days but Ramen is always a hit. They were super excited to go to each booth and learn about different snacks and see really amazing art on display. There was a stage in the far corner, which you can see in one of my photos where a flute player was jamming away. Although her flute was absolutely beautiful the sound was just a touch too high, and it was piercing all of our ears when she hit a high note. I was here for the Yelp elite event, which was fenced off in the back corner for VIP. I was able to taste so many amazing things but my favorite had to be the wings. I got a goodie bag full of swag and stickers and $10 off to the wing place. I will be visiting them next weekend and writing a review. A few notes, jotted down while we were there that made this so enjoyable and memorable. There was an artist that created hats that I have included photos of because they are absolutely stunning. Do not miss. Although this event was really packed, this venue has plenty of parking and it's on a corner giving really easy access. I love seeing all the local restaurants come together to celebrate the year of the snake and weave ear marks four or five we plan to try right away. At each booth, everyone was really excited to talk to the kids and explain to them what they were selling and what they were doing to keep them more engaged. I love living in Aurora and I hope we start having many more events like this one. This event will be a staple, and I can't wait to come back next year.

Yelp
Attended the Lunar New Year's Festival here. It was awesome. There were some awesome performances. We saw a couple drum ones. There was something for everyone. My son got a baby Yoda painted on his face & a balloon sword. There were so many great vendors. The space itself is huge and would be great for any large event like a concert or wedding reception.
google avatar

Ellie B.

Yelp
I went here for a Lunar New Year Event and was so impressed by the huge space fitted with a giant dance floor, stage visible from almost the entire venue, many comfortable seating areas, a second floor, and multiple bars to get your drinks from. While I didn't get a chance to try any of Stampede's own drinks and food because there were so many other vendors when I went, I am convinced I will come back for some ladies night to do some line dancing.

Yelp
I go on Wednesday usually. Great amisphere, thet mix it up on the floor from your linedancing ,Electric Slide, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Tush Push, Cowboy Cha-Cha, and the Two-Step. Not only did they upgrade their dance floor so now they took.out tue bar that was in the center of tge dance so now you have a huge dance floor so everyone can join in. Be best you brings the ladies out cause in Wednesday it's $10 cover at the doo opens 6:30pm free line dancing lessons till 7:45pm then its free coyntry swing lessons $10 pendleton shots for ladies you get two free drinks on the house for you just to show up. We got a DJ to where if you like to hear a specific song thats ypur favorite or it's your's and your ladies social song you go up to the booth be sure you drop a few dollars in the tip jar cause he actually does one heck of job so it's only right to buy him a drink or something to eat later when he gets off but works the entire night entertaining us and gives us a range of different music selections. Be sure you take care of 5he bar tenders of course cause they will surely take real good care of you. You never have problems in this establishment they have on-site security so there noone fighting or even a argument cause they will immediately remove them so others can enjoy their evening but you never get that here. And there are plenty of folks friendly and sociable so who knows you might make you a friend or two by coming cause we genuinely are real down to earth folks at Stampede. So please don't be shy and bashful in no way, feel like you at home just go up to sine of us and strike a conversation even say hello how you doing would be a nice start. They call me Bama Im from Alabama in case you haven't already guessed it but real is John but Bama easier to remember. I'll Definitely have one of ky Cowboy hats on but I look like Woody Harrelson literally you can tell by my southern drawl it's thicker than Heinz 57 and I pretty much one of the friendless guys you could ever meet. So I normally stand in front of the leftside bar near the stage with several of my friends come over ,at less say hello to me, I can gaureetee to you I will conversation with you the entire evening if you like and I be glad to give you a grand tour of Stampede if this be your first time there. I will do everything in my power to make you feel wecome and comfortable enough to get out on the dance floor and get sone dancing in. Gaureetee you will enjoy it and you will be a returning customer. I love the chance to see all y'all out there this Wednesday doors open at 6:30 but I usually walk in there later after 11pm. See y'all there! Bama!

Yelp
I imagine Ladies' Night is the only thing left of this bar that is legitimate. These guys are a salsa club, not a Country Bar. It would be super helpful if they provided an actual calendar of events online that was updated accurately. It would be helpful if they answered the phone. I guess they need to hustle the $ where they can, but they aren't getting any of mine. It is unfortunate because this used to be the go to place in Denver.

Yelp
We stopped in for the Lunar New Year event. We got there early, which was good because it filled up quickly. The food was great and I enjoyed the dragon dance. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to navigate the facility and vendors. The staff were all friendly inside Stampede and I'd be curious to see other events there. There were a few bars, a stage, and tons of seating.
google avatar

Crystal E.

Yelp
Stopped here for a lunar new year event and it was big and a great time to host people for an indoor event. It does get a little crowded inside especially maneuvering upstairs but there are a few entrances. We had great food from vendors in the parking lot. There's ample amount of parking and you can have a great time here.

Yelp
Weekend country dance lessons are a thing of the past. I used to be at the Stampede just about every weekend. The target clientele appears to have changed.

Yelp
2/4/24- went here for the City of Aurora Lunar New Year event. This is a nice venue for local events. They could set up a stage area that would be good for different performances. They also have an elevator to the second level. The bar tender was nice and they had the main bar open during the event. I tried some type of banana liquor in a Sprite. It was ok, the funny thing is that the bar tender didn't know the type of liquor it was when I was trying to get some details on it.

Debra R.

Yelp
I could not believe how this bar has changed of course in the last 10 years. I can't get over the Patton down and the sheriff Sarah don't the sheriffs have a better place to go to do jobs to protect people I could see one sheriff there I thought that was weird but I guess you're about the people. I ordered food it was the jalapeño bites and the garlic french fries. I got so sick over those not to mention they tasted rotten everything was horrible but the food was nasty I will never go back to that place again
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the Stampede several times for local MMA fights and it's been for the most part a positive experience. During those MMA fights there's lots of security, the lines get long but they seem to go through decently quick, and the venue overall is clean. They serve food and drinks during the fights. Food here is obviously mediocre at best. It's a bar after all, people don't come here for the food and it's more of an after thought. The drinks, also not amazing. It's mediocre at best, but you're there for the fights and not for fine cocktails, so it does the job. I don't come to the Stampede for anything else, so I don't know what this place looks like on a regular night but when it's fight night, this place runs pretty wellz

Nicole P.

Yelp
The atmosphere when you enter is fantastic! However when first approach the entrance you are treated rude and like a criminal being inspected for jail. The front end help are awful and overly rude!!! It's fun otherwise..
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
Very fun place especially like ladies night on Wednesday night the music is good and the customers are a lot of fun and you learn different dances
google avatar

Juliana L.

Yelp
Just gotta start out with... we're definitely not in Oklahoma. Denver definitely have a different style of country dancing. We went on a Wednesday night where they teach you a line dance starting at 6.30 and then play that song again for you to dance to at 9. If you come at 6.30, the cover is $5 and ladies get two free drink tickets. I say it's well worth it. Great music. Huge dance floor. Had a blast and The dance instructor (Lori, I think) was excellent. Will be back every Wednesday that I'm available.
google avatar

Quico M.

Yelp
Friends refuse to go here. They opt for The Grizzly Rose, even on Wednesday when the drinks are free at Stampede but not at the Rose. Larger Dance Floor and fewer "rules" about taking a girl off the ground. I can usually find something better to do with my Wednesday nights. Plenty of Mid-week discounts for activities that are much higher on weekends. Personally, I feel the quality and quantity of woman is better in North Denver at the Rose than the Stampede in Aurora. I usually grab 7-14 different partners when I go out to toss the ladies around at either place. Look no further than the lack of live country bands and country only on Wednesdays... While Grizzly Rose has live music Wed-Saturday. This place just doesn't have the same draw without "free" drinks. Overall, I will make the 5 mile drive to the "Trashy Trampede" before I make the hour+ drive to Colorado Springs but I make the 17 mile drive to the Rose everytime except when my group of partners feel like a change of pace. This place is Meh.
google avatar

Lenny D.

Yelp
Worst piece of shit place ever. Absolutely no reason to go there. I got paid to go there and it still wasn't worth it. Don't feel like wasting my time listing all the things that suck about it but there are a bunch.
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
The Stampede is a great place to go on a Wednesday night for a little bit of 2-Stepping. Plus it's Lady's night, so the Lady's drink free (draft Bud and house wine, not sure about the well) and you can hop in on a lesson for $5. There's plenty of seating and everyone seems open and friendly. The dance floor is a good size and they play a good mix of songs. I'd probably go here more often if it wasn't so far away but it was nice to mix things up a bit.
google avatar

Scott D.

Yelp
Have been here a couple of times and they know how to host special events. Food comes out perfect and in an organized way. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended for any corporate event.
google avatar

Antoine L.

Yelp
Used to be a great country bar. Not sure what it is now. They are basically pandering to the country crowd, but you get in there and good luck if they play any country songs you can dance too. It's a shame. I just to love going there.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming here every Wednesday for the past 6 months or so. Wednesday is ladies night and country dancing. From 6:30-7:30 there are $5 line dance lessons where Pat and Kevin teach two dances that are then played at 8pm later. At the top of the hour at least until 10pm (so 8,9,10) the DJ will play 3 line dance songs and two cowboy cha Chas. I'm not usually there much later than that. In between these times is mostly partner dancing with random pockets of line dancing if someone starts one. The dance floor is large and can accommodate a lot of different styles of dancing at once. There is also an upstairs dance floor where people will go practice dances. Being in Aurora, the crowd is a older than what you'd find at a downtown club, at least earlier in the night. They recently started serving food again and it's actually pretty good. I've had the wings, fries, and onion rings and will definitely order the food again. Fridays they SOMETIMES have country music but it's sporadic and sometimes they post it's happening and then cancel it. When there is country music Friday's, the crowds are MUCH thinner than on Wednesday's. At 6:30 Pat and Kevin hold a partner dance lesson which alternates between cowboy chacha, two step, or waltz. Overall for country dancing this is a fun, inexpensive place to visit. I wish there was more line dancing but there's ample seating around the dance floor to chill and sip a drink. There is also a lot parking in the area which is nice.

Yelp
This place is great for a group. So, they have free dance lessons on Friday night, as well as free appetizers and cheap drinks. So, we rolled in, munched some fajitas, some folks in our group took the lesson (the cowboy cha cha) and we had nice little reserved signs on a few tables adjacent to the dance floor. Our group organizer had called ahead to let them know we were coming and they gave him drink tickets that got each of us our first drink free. Nice! Unfortunately, the only brew they have is in a bottle and it's you usual 7-11 selection, Bud, Bud Light, MGD, Coors. But, Bud isn't half bad once you've had 4, ha ha. And, they were only like $3.50, even after happy hour was over, so I wasn't complaining too loud. I'm not a big country fan, but they did play a couple of country covers of rock songs (ACDC and something else) that were entertaining. We hung out and chatted for a few hours then moved on to the next bar. This place is a bit out of the way for me, but I'd probably make my way back if the MeetIn.org group wanted to go again. The free drink was a nice perk ;)

Yelp
Ellen was mean and rude. Bad customer service, I never want to interact with her or come here again.

Yelp
This is my second time here. My sister was afraid I was going to give it a bad review because I didn't have a good time the first time. But it was totally not Stampede's fault that I was in a pissy mood. But tonight I came with boots and a better attitude, ready to enjoy some country fun. At this moment they're playing Justin Timberlake. Not exactly the stuff of cowboys, but bouncy. The front door staff was friendly. It's Ladies' night. For five dollars, you get five drinks. Oh, Maroon 5! I love Maroon 5. Doesn't make me want to rustle cattle, though. They have a large porch, where smoking is allowed. The patrons are quite clique-ish. Everyone seems to have come with friends and there seems to be little interaction between the groups. There's also a very empty upstairs, with a rail where you can stand and look at the dance floor. At least you could, if there weren't random tables shoved up against it. And there are dirty rags strewn around in odd places, like on the random tables or on the porch. Line dancing to 70s music, that's just not right. The music is good, but don't be fooled by the name and the clothes of some the patrons, this is no country bar. And the bartender is rude. My sister has been here many times and knows Jimmy the Bartender. She brought me up to the bar. He complimented her breasts. He knows her and that made her giggle, so okay. But he didn't say word one to me or acknowledge my presence in any way. He got my sister her drink and complimented her breasts again, which got him another giggle and a 100% tip. So, good for him. He missed out on another 100% tip by continuing to ignore me. Now, I don't drink much. And when I do, frankly, I tend to drink chocolate martinis at bars that are on the top floors of expensive buildings. I was told I could get a well drink. I asked what that was. Yes, I'm stupid. Jimmy responded with, "Same thing as every bar in America." I wanted to reach over and take a dollar out of his tips. When a regular brings in a newbie, that's your chance to make another regular. Jimmy also made my drink really strong, which totally sucks for the management and for me, as I don't like strong drinks. I am not going to be a regular. I probably won't come again. I could get over the fact that it isn't a country bar, but it's dirty and not very friendly. My sister really wanted me to give it at least 3 stars, but I can't. It's just not a nice place.

Loving L.

Yelp
Great bar. Lady's night is good for a women. 5 dollar cover for what? (Men) The men's restroom doesn't even have towels. That's a simple order issue. The bar backs are aloof. Music in a bar should be chosen by customers. Not by "A" dance. Yes we all like to dance. Hits on a radio work. The space is amazing! The people are real Denver/ all over folk! Country!!!! People last not a space! The gum everywhere is nasty but that's CRAP people. The drinks out of a plastic cup is FU$£IN stupid. Your a country bar. Great time but not worth a regular visit.
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
This place is awesome! I have passed by sooo many times and never felt it would be a good idea to stop. I wasn't sure how the crown would be or if it would be anything like the dance halls we have in Texas. Turns out the crowd is really cool! Its an older crowd that genuinely seems to be having a good time. We are here on a Friday around 7pm, there seems to be dancing instructions going on, pretty cool. The bartender actually reached out asked my name and shook my hand, now that's service.
google avatar

Karly P.

Yelp
Wednesday night LADIES DRINK FREE until 11pm. If you like to drink and dance this is the place for you! The dance floor is always full. People of all ages are dancing and even together. This makes for a fun time. But beware girls of some of the creepy men... Say no if you don't feel comfortable dancing with someone. Dancing not your thing? The people watching is fabulous! Grab a beer, pull up a chair, and enjoy the show.

Paul B.

Yelp
Remodeled, bigger dance floor, awesome bartenders! Awful DJs! Came back on a Wednesday night and it was a fairly busy night. But there was a DJ that barely played any country, mostly top 100 and club music. See the pic for example. Is this a country bar, or downtown club? Make up your mind so I can decide to visit or not!
google avatar

Jordan R.

Yelp
This country bar has everything you could need! From dance lessons (both line and couples for a steal at $5), Ladies night on Wednesday where ladies drink free, and a decent menu Stampede has it all. I frequent the country bars in Denver and I find this one slightly more appealing than the Grizzly Rose (which I still love). Stampede has a different atmosphere where pretty much anyone is welcome. I get a bit tired of the groves of under 21 frequenters at the GR and the Stampede has a better dynamic in my opinion.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Every since I performed here for a male review I've been hooked, great atmosphere! Pool tables, dance floor with plenty room to swing around. Thanks Stampede for being awesome
google avatar

Adam V.

Yelp
Ugh. God. Where do I start? The place is a country bumpkin wonderland. They play really gross club music and then country. The two worst. I understand this is a country themed bar, but I got called a "short ass guido" because I wasn't in plaid and boots. Repulsive, all of it. IQs are YEE-HAW and below.

Yelp
Confused is the best way I can describe the Stampede... Benders... Knows its a 'dude lets start a mosh pit' rock bar 5 Degrees... Knows its a 'im to sexy for my shirt' martini lounge The Bash... Knows its a 'get crunk in this bitch' hyphy Hip Hop club My wedsday night expeirence of Stampede was that the club didn't really have any identity. Before I get into all that let me touch on the positives... The place is huge, the only other venue I can think of thats the same size is the Palladium. Its in aurora, which means that parking is ample & free. This place really pops off & gets slammed full of people having a great time. The place definitely has some sexy ladies. Its not quite like 5 Degrees or DC10 where you'd be lucky to find a girl who DIDN'T look like a model. The lady's at this spot are a little more down to earth and approachable than the dancefloor godesses of Lodo. Which makes this nice pickup spot for nice guys who... Don't own 15 different designer button downs, don't have abs of steel, don't drive luxury cars with leather interiors, don't have 'diversified portfolios' and can't dance like Justin Timberlake. Even though I'm more of a martini and business card type I'm NOT going to hate on country music and its crowd, but my biggest problem with the stampede is that like I said, its confused. You will hear Shania Twain, 50 Cent, Darude (thats techno for y'all that don't know) and Justin Timberlake in the time it takes to approach a girl, spark some conversation, get your dance on & then find out she's married with 2 kids at home!! A true country fan is not going to want to go to a bar where they have to listen to hip hop & electronica. Also a trendy club kid or 'closet raver' like myself is not going to enjoy a night here enough to return with any regularity. This place does really pop off on wedsdays so obviously they figured out something that people like. If you call yourself a Denverite you must at least check out this place.

Yelp
I've been going to this bar for a few years now and have never really had an issue. But I have noticed lately that the crowd gets pretty sketchy around midnight. My issue lies in the security. They kick people out for being too drunk, but when I was harassed and physically assaulted by a drunk 300lb man, there was nothing they could do because they didn't see it. I was truly appalled! Between two security guards and three cops, I was told, "the best we can do is apologize and tell you that the people that come here are scum." You can bet your ass I'm never spending a dime at this place again!
google avatar

Brandon M.

Yelp
Don't go to Stampede on a Friday night! According to one of the bartenders, the place is rockin' on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but when my party arrived on Friday, the crowd was small and died out by 11. Aside from that, the place seems cool. It looks like it ate every other country bar in Colorado - it's freakin' ginormous. There are several bars, lots of neon signs, a dance floor/race track with another bar in the center, a stage, a mechanical bull, and I think this is where they store the Goodyear blimp for winter. The bartenders are friendly and pour heavily. Yep.
google avatar

Kelly E.

Yelp
I frequent the Stampede on Saturday nights. They place good music and the bartenders are always friendly. I'm usually DD so I never drink but when I do see them they're friendly! They're always well staffed, which is good to see. My only complaint is that the pool tables on the second floor are absolute crap. The sticks are missing the plastic edges and the chalk always goes missing. Please replace your pool items, or at least make them available for check out because I love playing pool when I'm not dancing, and it's tough to play with all my friends when there's only one working table and one functioning pool cue.

Yelp
I went with a regular on a Wednesday night. That's a pretty hot night for this place, probably due to the 5$ dance instructions. If you get there for the lessons you get in free and get 5 free drink coupons!! What? Its a fun place to go to dance or people watch. There were all types here; beginners, advanced, old, young, cool, stuck up....you will be able to find like minded people here. I actually tried the chicken wings here and they were actually pretty good. I asked for extra veggies and devoured them.....great dancing food it turns out!!! You can find me here on Wednesday nights for sure now... Great way to break up the week....cheap, fun and home in bed by 11.

Yelp
My husband and I have been here on a couple of occasions for the dancing lessons. We really like the instructors; they explain things well and they're just cute. Older crowd and great atmosphere!

Yelp
Sucks! They say they change dj's out and they have the same one every Wednesday who does nothing more then keep his wife and kids on the dance floor. Room of 100 people waiting until the wife's play list runs through so they can dance. Super boring and inconsiderate. Use to be fun until it turned into ground hog day :( wish I could give zero stars. Make the drive to somewhere who has the best interest of the customer in mind and not the staff, it's worth it. You can tell by the broken down floors, bathrooms, deck and beers on ice and not in coolers. If you don't pay attention to the people who pay you, they will eventually find a new place to go.

Yelp
Not being from the South and/or from a 'country' family, I have never been exposed to large-group line dancing. It was AMAZING! All the people were doing the same thing . . . just blew my mind. The set-up at Stampede is pretty cool, because the dance floor is kinda like a racetrack, with the bar in the middle area and seating all around the inside and outside. It was really fun to watch all the couples twirling around! Also, it wasn't very intimidating. I joined in a few dances and although I didn't always get the steps perfectly, people were very friendly about bumping into each other. Not as up-tight as I'd heard line dancing can be. I was there on a Saturday, which meant free drinks for ladies until 11; that was awesome. There was still a $5 cover, but whatever. I'm gonna try to go back on a Wednesday, cause I hear it's even more hoppin'!

Yelp
I can never get an email back and when I call I always get hung up on! I also feel it's false advertisement when it says lady's night Wednesday nights and lady's drink free 7pm-12am because they give u 4 tickets so that's not drinking 7pm-12am, that's 4 free water downed drinks lol Another weird thing is a guy can wear a huge cowboy hat but my husbands baseball team could not wear their form fitting hats.

Yelp
Large venue with a great dance floor and DJ. We came here on a Friday evening and had an excellent time dancing away. We ordered the burger and beer combo ($6 total) and were very impressed by the made-from-scratch beef patties: thick, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The crowd is diverse and the atmosphere welcoming.

Yelp
This place smells like piss, and it hasn't been renovated since the last time country dancing was popular. Cheap drinks, though, and we're here for an MMA match, so the crowd's not the usual lowest-common-denominator tonk honkeys. One extra star for that.

Yelp
Until last year we would have given this place 5 stars - when it was a country bar instead of a Mexican/Spanish venue. For the previous 6 years, dancing at the Stampede on Friday nights was our absolute favorite date night. We miss them!Unfortunately, the new ownership has decided to turn it into a Mexican venue and it's rare that they are open for country dancing on Friday nights anymore. They should probably just change the name to let people know they've changed the focus of their business.

Yelp
Wow. Brought my friend for the male review. About and hour in we saw some empty seats and sat down. The girl next to me said they were holding them for her friends. Immediately got up and tried to leave. Some 69 year old chick grabbed my friend by the hair and punched her in the face 3 times. Some guy came up and punched her too. Security did nothing. Not a thing. So we left. Won't be back. Seriously the worst venue ever.

Yelp
Huge space, NASCAR oval dance floor (OK, maybe only three cars wide), wide range of music for a country nightclub, decent food, staff who enjoy their work. Great folks teach country line dancing, so you'll have that going. It's not a pure country music joint - you'll hear a variety of music, especially on Ladies Night (Wednesdays). Good times!

Yelp
Friday night and walked in the door at 12:15 pm. What can I say empty!. Don't come here if you want a real country bar experience. First and last time!
