The food is always excellent. The VGBG and sweet potato fries were super! The service was a tad slower than expected, but the restaurant was very busy and the people working were working as hard and fast as possible. 10/10 recommend. UPDATE: ordered the turkey burger on pretzel on July 4. SMG let me down. Turkey burger patty was not it. The fries and bun were great, though! Service also slacked, but they seemed understaffed during the holiday.

We are at the restaurant and it was good food in large quantities. Afterwards we shopped inside and found so many food options that next time, we will buy a meal from inside the store instead! The store has so many options and premade meals to take and bake at home. Nice employees as well, which makes everything even better.

Love SM for all their areas. Food is so delicious! And its the best value per glass of wine you will find, that is for sure!! No crazy markups since you can purchase a bottle and have it there!! Will continue to go for a long time. Hopefully westmont isn't going anywhere!

You go in there on a busy weekend, and on a Sunday morning brunch and you might as well bus your own table. You’ll be waiting so long to have someone clean a table that your best bet is to just sit down and hope some cleans the table for you. I don’t blame the servers who trying so hard to do so many things at once. But why are there so few employees help them out.???

Not great overall. I ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. The burger seemed “re-cooked”, not freshly cooked and the fried seemed previously cooked at reheated as well. The fries were served burned and barely edible. For $23 it was so not worth it. I’ve given this place several attempts to redeem itself but they just overall suck as a restaurant. UPDATE: Im actually recovering today from some kind of food poisoning/food borne illness contracted from my meal here. Violently ill all night. This use to be a decent place to dine with good food. Not any more :-(

I generally think the food is pretty good. But from time to time, my burgers tend to be overly greasy. Hope the cooks could be more attentive.

First time coming in today with the wife and I was genuinely impressed with the high quality selection of chartcuterrie options, packaged meals to go, and produce. We came into the wine bar and had an amazing cheese board and a bottle of French white wine! All for $58 !!! Great price! Spencer was very kind and accommodating! We will be back soon!

Best food in the area for lunch. Mushroom burger was great. Standard burger was even better. Smash burger was good also. The service and management was tremendous. I made a mistake ordering and the manager fixed it right away and fixed the mistake at their cost. Very nice people and the food is perfect for pretty much everything there. All the people in our party completely enjoyed their meals also from salads to salmon. So good we went two days in a row while we were in town.

Best tacos since I lived in Texas. I tried to shrimp, grilled shrimp as well as pork belly. Yum. Check it out.

We've been to Standard Market dozens of times for groceries, but we had no idea how awesome the food was at the Standard Market Grill! We've been twice now and had great experiences. The food is super flavorful and the portions are huge! They also have brunch on the weekends, in addition to offering their regular menu. Check it out if you haven't already!

Picked up take-out from here tonight. Quality of food ranged from below average down to outright inedible. Sandwich and burgers were soggy and slimy. Spinach dip was the consistency of watery soup with basic tortilla chips. Pizza was mid. Seasonal fruit side was mostly melon - obviously. In general, a very poor value for the $.

40min to wait on a salad is ridiculous, my whole lunch wasted waiting at a table just to have to place in a to go container

Service is terrible, whether dining in or carry out. Two visits, and both times food came out cold as it sat on the counter. Also rude workers who aren't accommodating or care about the customer. The manager seemed nice though. Also got home and items were missing.

Yesterday I shopped at Standard Market. I enjoy grocery shopping and believe that I should be able to take my time perusing the options before purchasing groceries. Especially since most of the products here are pretty expensive. Towards the end of my shopping I started to notice managers/employees were watching me and following me around the store. It made me highly uncomfortable. When it came to checkout one of the men went up to the clerk I was in line at and whispered something to her while pointing to me. There was a group of men all watching me check out. I felt highly uncomfortable. I am not sure if it was because I took awhile to shop (less than an hour) or because I did not know the layout of the floor and had to circle back a few times for veggies I needed for a meal. The main item I was looking for was caviar but after noticing individuals watching me I decided to give up and go to Whole Foods for the last few things I needed. I will not be back to standard market even though I had enjoyed shopping here in the past. I left feeling unwelcome and like I did something wrong? I will take my $200 elsewhere next time.

We love coming here. It's quaint. It's quiet. There's a lot of good options and it's budget-friendly. The cheese plates are a great deal and you get enough to take home!! Spencer is a nice guy and tries hard to do a good job. There's so much more here I want to try and will keep coming back!

One of favorite go to place for lunch and dinner. The sweet potato fries with honey mustard is the best side ever! I've never had a bad meal here. Check it out.

We dropped in for the first time to do a little shopping and also grabbed lunch at their restaurant. Market was great! Love the selections...both standard and many unique specialty items. Picked up several different kinds of cheeses and some seafood and steaks. They age some of their beef selections in-house, which I thought was really cool. Also picked up some chocolate bars from the Philippines. Super interesting find. Afterwards we stopped in the restaurant side of the market. My wife had an Asian inspired salad (I forgot what it's called). It was huge...and really good. I had a spicy chicken sandwich that was also very good. Products are on the pricy side...but that's to be expected at a specialty market. We will surely be back again when in the area.

Food and service has gone way down over the years. Sitting here now. Ordered the half chicken with broccoli and mashed potato. Everything came out cold. Not once did server Come ask how we were doing or if we wanted refills. I guess when you're asked to tip before any food is brought out then why do anything to make the customer experience worth the 18 percent I paid. Last time I was here as i was enjoying my salad , the entree and sides came out all at once. I had 3 separate plates all lined up in front of me. The server offered nothing except a bad explanation that she put the order in separately and all the items arrived at the same time.

The Coffee Bar at this location seems to be the happiest place in the western suburbs. Jack does a fantastic job with his crew. Caity, the barista, is like a ray of sunshine. We must protect this treasure at all costs. Amen.

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday evening around 7pm. I've eaten here before years ago and have ordered take out a time or two. Overall I would give this place a 4 while this specific visit was more like a 3.5. We ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich (no bread) with a Market Side Salad and the Salmon dinner. The chicken sandwich was tasty and most of their dressings for the salad are really good! I'm not a fan of char and their were multiple char lines on my salmon which I'm not a huge fan of. Also because of the cut the ends were dry and crispy and part of the middle wasn't cooked all the way. I probably wouldn't get this entree again.

This review is for the Grill. Two things not cool: the tables are not moveable so larger parties can't sit together and you have to pay extra for any extra sauces, syrup, etc. THAT, my dear consumer, is poor customer service. Prices high already.

It pains me to write this - but I'm compelled to do so bc I hope things change. We went in at 1:30 this past Monday for lunch. There were only 4 tables occupied yet it was hard to find anyplace to sit bc virtually all of the tables hadn't been cleared - yet there was a server going around giving refills to the few customers were there. He even gave us an extra drink to go. His time would have been better spent clearing tables. It was gross to see empty wine glasses and half eaten food around us. Also, the quality of the food has gone down drastically. I still shop here frequently, but the grill really needs to up their game to compete.

This place is the best. Their margaritas and food is always spot on and never disappoints. We love coming here. Great atmosphere and great meals to go in the grocery store.

As with everything these days the prices have gone too high. I don't think I can pay 20+ dollars for a salad with a protein. Quality is still good but portions do seem smaller.

Girl who takes orders on weekends you better work on phone skills. If you order online and they are busy, they are very rude and rush you with an abrupt and rude "anything else" - Didn't ask how I wanted. The Burger cooked, didn't ask what side I wanted. just very rude and abrupt

Tables were dirty. When I first walked in one of the cooks gave the biggest sneeze to which a few of the other employees cheered him for. I got the Nashville chicken and Mac n cheese. Nashville chicken was ok. The Mac n cheese has no cheese

Ordered some sandwiches and fries. You have to tip when placing order. Not right. Fries were COLD AND SALTY/INEDIBLE!!! Burger was ok, chicken monterrey sandwich meh. For two meals, $40+, it was disappointing. Definitely overpriced for the food. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

Ordered grilled steak with chimichurri sauce. a new item on the menu, it was awful. Steak was like a Swanson TV dinner. This place used to be reliable. Not sure what happened.

Just ate there. Normally do not leave reviews but this had to be written about. We used to come to this place a lot. No longer. This is the Big Cheese. Cold & fries cold. I could have gotten this at McDonalds. My wife got the Four Farmers. Have a look how they chopped the dates. Oh, They didn't Please get better cuz right now you are not very good.

I crave the Standard Market Buddha bowl when I'm away from here for too long. The shakes, fries, and delightful Thai chicken salad are also all top notch choices

I called to check if they had any giant pretzels I could come and grab in the next 20 mins. They took my name and told me how much it would cost and said they would set one aside for me. When I arrived they had no record of my order anywhere and said they had no pretzels left. Really really disappointed and frustrated in their service. Especially because I called ahead.

They substituted blue cheese on my burger because they were out of gorgonzola. I am allergic to blue cheese because it contains mold. I had a slow starting allergic reaction upon first taste, and I knew right away because my mouth started to swell up. The staff treated me at first like I was faking, and as if it was my fault for not divulging my allergies--mold is not a food and neither are dust mites and cats so why would I inform a restaurant not to put mold, dust mites and cats in my food! My friend went back to the bar are near the kitchen to get me some water and she said the manager was making fun of me and the staff were laughing. My stomach hurt and I couldn't eat the remade burger and I was suspicious that they just scraped the cheese off. They didn't offer an apology nor a refund. I had to take prednisone for 3 months and was not well for 6 months because of their gross error. If you are out of an ingredient the logical thing is to go and ask the client if they can make a substitution. The staff were mean and unapologetic and this is unforgivable. This happened 2-3 years ago, and I never reported this to their head office but I wish I had. I don't know if those same workers are working there. I am afraid to go back, because besides this incident, it had been a very good and clean place to eat with fair prices.

The grill is probably the best part of the entity under the umbrella of The Standard Market. You have the grocery store, wine bar, pseudo taco stand and The Grill. Unfortunately just as the market is showing curling edges, the grill has seen better days. On a recent visit the same tired menu was all they had to offer with no surprising specials. The special that evening was a salad. You use to get pork tenderloin with nice sides, filet or a piece of fish. Then again why not offer a salad special over the 4-5 salads already on the menu. A nice touch is that they have a water bar with different fruit and vegetable flavorings. This evening there was no water available as they had it refilled them. In general their food is good but this place is loosing its luster.

Please don't let this place slip into post Covid apathy ! We have eaten here probably most weeks and sometimes (often) more than once a week ! Staff are great always ! We have always told everyone that based on food quality this place is as good as anywhere and places with much higher tickets , we eat at them all Of late , fries are pre cooked even when eating in served cool, and kennebec fries go slightly chewy cold vs hit and crispy The $20 ($26 tax and tip) steak Sandwich was over cooked ... that never happened in all the years We love this place .. prices can't go up and quality down .. please !!!

Lobster Boil this weekend. Full lobster, corn and pepper salad, and cheese biscuit $20. Lobster was really good and at a decent price. The rest of the store is upscale. There are three restaurants inside; the Cube (chauterie and cheese) serving beer and wine, Standard Grill (Americana), and Standard Taco. There is also a coffee bar and grocery store inside. Go check out Standard Market, spend a pleasant afternoon.

So disappointed. Been coming here since it opened, now it is a shadow of what it once was. Wrong/ cold food, snarky wait staff...I can get an $18.00 burger else where.

You would think that in the summer they would have better tomatoes........ yuck!!! Ordered a Cali sandwich, it's always been pretty good. This time the tomato was I don't know , rotting or not ripe, either way they it should not have been used. There was a Standard Market in Naperville and is now closed, guess this one is on the way out.

I was a huge fan of this place but recently my orders have either been over cooked or missing in its entirety. When eating at the restaurant, our burgers or salmon lately have been cooked way beyond recommended or requested. Maybe it's the firing time or something else but my salmon is always dry. We order carry out and are always missing items They need to have a better way to group the items It's frustrating going back there and more so their if you end up Missing something

Overall a good dining experience. Wait staff was friendly, food and wine selection was solid, and price point is fair. Cheaper and better quality than Whole Foods. We shall return!

Love the convenience of this place because of how it's located actually inside of Standard Market; if you like something you ate, you can buy it immediately afterwards. Here, you order and pay ahead of time which is always nice in case you're in a hurry. My go to item is usually a salad and a side of the Sweet Potato fries with extra honey mustard dressing. They are also perfect to take home and pop in the air fryer. The portions are pretty big for the prices and everything is usually enjoyed, making it always harder to decide what to order for future visits. My only complaint last time were the stale croutons in my salad- hard as rock. Overall it's a nice option to try some of their ingredients as well as the many other unique options they have in the store, but it is on the expensive side.

Standard market grill has been a go-to for our family for a while now this review is long overdue! There's no shortage of quality meals from standard market grill. There's something for everyone here & it always hits the spot. The fork & knife fried chicken, Monterey sandwich, Highway 1 sandwich, Buddha bowl, sweet heat crispy chicken, & salads are all excellent! Ingredients are of high quality, fresh, & seasoned properly for a well-balanced flavor. I've not had one disappointing dinner across perhaps a dozen visits. Until next time, SMG!

Always had a good meal there - always recommend. Delivery this time and never again - buhdda bowl was a wet sweet mess - wilted greasy vegetables - dried chicken, so much sweet sauce it could be called a soup. What a disappointment. It's tough to order out when you are working a 14hr day and your dinner is a waste if time and money. Utensils and napkins would have been nice Gave them another try - 7/17/19 - food was better, but sweet potato fries are served with honey mustard dip at the restaurant, nothing included here and again no utensils or napkins - I'm done

Just a quick note, this is one of those hipsters, man-bun wearing type of joint, if you have a low tolerance towards that, you have been warned. We placed our order and took a seat. I ordered a Chicken and Shrimp Burrito and my girlfriend ordered Pork Belly and Shrimp Burrito, we also ordered Chips and Guacamole to share. It did not take long for our food to come out. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the Burrito, it is on a smaller end, but I must say there were a lot of shrimp in it! Overall, good service, good salsa bar, good food. A solid B experience.

Looking for a weekend treat, Standard Market is offering (limited time) Lobster Roll aka Knuckle Sandwich for $29 takeout, and $25 dine at the cube. So some shrimp too, so not 100% lobster, hence Knuckle Sandwich. It's been a while since I've had a Lobster Roll in Acadia Maine, but this brought back the memories for sure. The meat is tender and as fresh as Chicago can be, right? Lobster Roll isn't complicated, but I've had plenty of complete botch jobs. Keep it simple, fresh, high quality, execution execution execution. Get it while you can

This place is delicious! And the service is great! My brussel sprouts were PHENOMENAL and I mean they were perfectly crispy. The steakhouse sandwich was great too. I understand why this place isn't cheap. Will be back

Bring back the cobb and southwest salad! You have such a great selection but you keep changing it up and the cobb was ahhhhmazing and so was the southwest!

I ordered the chicken tortilla bowl of soup this time and the cookie skillet. The soup was lukewarm when they brought it to me. Although still good, it was definitely more tasty the first time. The bowl size was actually a bit too much. I would probably just stick to the cup size and order something else. The cookie skillet was pretty good but probably should be shared by at least two people. Unfortunately for me, I went with two guys who were not that into sweets, so I was forced to devour most of it myself. Not a pretty picture. Service was still outstanding though! I definitely recommend going here!

You have got to be kidding, a $14.00 southwest blt weekly special, with 1 slice of bacon on the sandwich. Never again.

This restaurant is inside the market. Order at the counter, grab a seat, food is delivered by waitstaff. Waitress refilled my Diet Coke and checked on me twice. Lots of nice vegetarian options. I enjoyed the vegetarian burger and sweet potato fries. There was also 4 free flavored water options, self-serve: watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, and lime.

Most of the time Standard Grill gets order correct. The sweet potato fries are the best! I love their cod fish sandwich with sweet potato fries. I had a Diet Coke drink and the cheese pizza is good too.

Movie night with pizza and fries and lentils... This place was super fast for delivery! I was really shocked, to be honest! The food was tasty, and pretty nice portions for the prices too! We ordered the Artichoke Pizza and the Truffle Fries both were tasty. The pizza could have been a bit crispier and the toppings a little more melted and congealed, but the flavors were there. It was kind of messy to eat! Not gonna lie about that! The fries were pretty yummy and they were served with a dish of ketchup. At first, I didn't think the truffle fries would require dipping. There were very delicious on their own, but I did try them in the ketchup and I have to say it was pretty good! I asked for lemon on the side which I like to add a sprinkle of usually. We also ordered the Lentil Caviar which was really fresh and delicious tasting. It complimented the pizza crust but it is a little 'juicy' for a salad so I think it needs a side of crusty bread with it. Maybe drop the order in a toasted bread bowl and add a buck tor two! Overall, a great, quick, and tasty dinner! Lots of menu choices too which make me want to order again soon.

I bought the Bowl Bim Bap without the egg, and I loved it. I would say their peanut sauce and kimchi REALLY added flavor to the bowl. I would come here again for sure!

Every time I go there to get a coffee I walk out thinking, "Damn, this is great coffee!" Also, they are not mask fanatics. Both these things are very important.

The hot cookie was cold, dry and cheap. This was a big surprise because the same desert at the old location in Naperville was incredible. Whoever is running the kitchen here has VERY low standards. Waitress said the cookie was pre-cooked before the restaurant opened. Staff wasn't very friendly either...my wife pointed out that's because they're understaffed so I put that on management too. On the plus side, it's clean and comfortable. But that's the only plus I can think of.
