A Stefani’s Vet Plans a Thin Crust-Focused Italian Restaurant In Lincoln Park | Eater Chicago

"A large corner restaurant space at Fullerton and Clark that formerly operated as a market-grill; the venue, which includes an outdoor patio and previously hosted other eateries, is being renovated to house the incoming Italian restaurant." - Ashok Selvam

Had poorly prepared crab cackles, intensely salty and made with too much bread that turned the texture into a paste and muted the flavor . Sprouts salad was ok, no dressing and the sandwich was Jewel Osco quality.Pot Belly had better sandwiches.

Google
We generally enjoy the on site restaurant, but the attention to detail seems to have declined over the years. Changing a sandwich to a wrap does not mean leave off the cheese..this happens almost every single time we order which is very frustrating. We often order honey mustard, mayo, etc on the side as well and it’s also almost never remembered and then it takes forever to receive. It’s irritating to be sitting around waiting for sauce while food gets cold, or even worse not realizing it til you get home. First world problems I know, it’s just happened enough times at this point that I’m hoping this review will help them improve :) Overall it’s a great place with many specialty items which we appreciate!

Disclaimer: This is only a review of their restaurant and not their store. I have been coming to standard market as long as I can remember. It was always a thrill to hear my family was coming here for dinner. Their amenities are ridiculously clean all the time. The whole place just gives a clean feel. Their food is just perfect, the menu changes a lot though so don’t be surprised if they drop your favorite item. I have never had a bad meal here except today I got the tuna poke bowl and it was just awful. This was my mistake as I should’ve asked for no wasabi sauce. Every other bite I was in actual pain through my nose with a burning sensation. Killed the entire dish. Other than that my girlfriend got the avocado grilled cheese and a side of this truffle garlic sauce they have and it was heaven. I also love their shakes! Get anything other than the tuna poke bowl and you will thoroughly enjoy yourself.

One of my favourite place for shopping fresh vegetables and fresh juices. I like the atmosphere inside. Its so nice and well organised. A good place for Organic stuffs. The prices a bit high than the other places though but we can get some Organic juices here which i codnt find some other grocery stores. They have restaurant and other good options inside.

Google
Grocery store with restaurants! Very neat concept. They also have a *lot* of prepared foods. The variety here is amazing. I could find a number of organic and inorganic foods. The staff here are very friendly! On more than one occasion, they have gone out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. For example, a family member couldn’t eat a dish and they comped us by giving us another dish for free. They were so nice about it and didn’t take our money (we wanted to pay because the food was just fine, they couldn’t eat it due to health reasons). Anyway, a great place! I can see myself going there again. Thank you staff! You’re the best.

I visit this restaurant/store every time I visit the area. The restaurant has been great, fantastic array of food in grocery area. On 3/2/25, we went for dinner, ordered meals and iced tea to drink. The tea was like sludge, old and awful. This was at 6pm, not super late. We returned the teas, asked for lemonade. We saw a few other customers also returning their teas. They literally dumped the tea out and filled up cups, didn't even wash out lids. We would have done the flavored water but all the fruit had settled in the bottom and no water came out. BBQ chicken pizza was overcooked. The attention to detail is really declining, hope it turns around.

Google
Beautiful market with plenty of choices of local and exotic foods. There are two eateries onsite: Standard Taco to the left and Standard Grill to the right. Great ambiance! Comfortable place to shop and eat. Everything is tastefully decorated! They have great, health conscious pre cooked meals in a bag at awesome prices! Great way to ease on into the weekend without the need to cool over a hot stove. Just grab a bag!

Google
So yummy! They have a simplee u but it's pretty much anything you have a taste for. One may think it's a little weird having a fine dining experience in a grocery but once you're seated by the candle lit tables next to the fireplace, you'll forget all about it.

Yelp
Came during a lunch break by a coworkers recommendation and it didn't disappoint! We tried the little cantina in front. $13 for 2 full of protein tacos and a Diet Coke is not a bad lunch deal! They also had a help yourself bar of salsas and pickled veggies, jalapeños and anything you'd want to top your taco, burrito, quesadilla, etc with. I'd totally come back to the cantina! There's tons of seating for the cantina and market itself. Love good for a quick lunch! Don't have to fight for a seat! The market itself is on the high-end side. I love that they have dinner kits packed. Very helpful on those nights you wanna take the guess work out of dinner. They have a full on butcher section so you can find a protein you want. Also some plant based alternatives, too. They have a bakery loaded with goodies. Nice size market to shop. There's more to explore here so I'm gonna come back for sure!

Yelp
Standard Market was a go to spot for me about 5-7 years ago to get specialty snacks and dinner options. Revisiting today, it seemed a bit underwhelming. The greatest perk that Standard Market had to offer is all the to-go meals they offer! They have pizza, sandwiches, salads, sushi, coffee, and more that can be grab and go. On top of this, they have their Standard Market Grill, Tacos & Margaritas, and The Cube which all have ordering food and drink menus. The downfall lies within the grocery side. Their selection seems more limited than years past. Their prices are a bit of a premium so I wouldn't recommend doing all grocery shopping here.

Yelp
We attended the beer pairing dinner, and we were blown over at the quality of the meal and the lovely atmosphere. The beer was provided by Phase 3 brewing and they had a delicious assortment of perfectly paired brews with each of course of the meal.

Yelp
Food is good. Service is okay. Return policy seems like they're very hesitant to exchange items. Ambiance is clean.

Yelp
The shopping experience here is similar to that of Whole Paycheck (foods). One nice feature is that a gourmet fast casual eatery is contained within. A fast casual taco establishment is featured as well. Another nice feature is The Cube. The Cube is a wine bar which has gourmet cheese and alcohol available. I was able to procure Rouge River blue cheese which is exclusively available here and only between Thanksgiving and Christmas so go snatch it up. Another gourmet delight is the pizza by the slice which is available at the deli. The hot bar selection is not as extensive compared to what is available at Whole Foods, but I prefer the overall shopping experience at this establishment.

Yelp
This is a local market with Malibu vibes. From the moment you park your car, you'll notice a chić, relaxed environment. Inside, you'll find a floral selection, coffee bar, sushi bar, wine lounge and even a restaurant with seasonal outdoor dining. All the employees are very friendly and inviting! I purchased an iced matcha latte, a couple of macarons, and one of their custom made dinner bags. I also like their crab cakes! Overall, I highly recommend Standard Market for anyone seeking a top-notch, enjoyable shopping experience.

Yelp
The prices are getting out of hand. $6 for a tiny slice of pie? Wtf. I mean common. $14 for a SMALLER take-home pizza when you used to be able to get big ones for less? I still don't know why they brew counter culture coffee. That stuff is horrible. That's just as bad as drinking Metropolis. So I do not buy brewed coffee or lattes here. Carry and brew something respectable such as Philz.

Yelp
What a wonderful market with so many cooked and ready to eat foods. The quiches were so delicious and made from scratch. The sushi bowls were good as was the sashimi. Great service except for some younger employees who were texting non stop on their phones instead of responding to customers requests. Overall outstanding market.

Yelp
We splurged recently when we bought meals for neighbors isolated with Covid. The pot roast dinner w mashed potatoes and green beans was delicious. Beef was a bit fatty, but the flavor (with mushroom gravy) was delicious! We can't always 'eat like the rich people eat' but it was very tasty and we will return. But wow, my wife bought pizza dough but we ended up going to Mariano's for the sauce because she felt the Standard Market price was obscene! The service folks are excellent, the store aisles and displays were spotless and the attached restaurant was full of eaters who looked happy! And their meals smelled wonderful!

Yelp
THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE GROCERY STORE, NOT THE ATTACHED RESTAURANT For well over a decade Friday and Saturday nights were go out to eat (or order in) nights. After recently crunching the numbers, we realized how much we spent on all that restaurant food! So Friday switched to grocery store meal pick up night. Standard Market is THE PLACE for picking up packed and complete fresh made meals. Their packs feed the whole fam. Enchiladas and rice, grilled chicken, veggies, and potatoes, teriyaki chicken, taco kits, a variety of tasty soups, and more. Round the corner and you can pick up some awesome hot foods at the deli. Their pizza is well beyond what you would expect from grocery pizza, with a chef popping pies fresh from the oven behind the counter. There's hot chicken, a wide variety of deli salads and foods. Now if you want to be bad, round the corner again and you'll see a gourmet looking dessert case. There's also an epic butcher section, freshly made sushi, that wine and cheese shop. More fun to stroll than Whole Foods, with an emphasis on fresh gourmet selections and attention to detail. And unlike Whole Foods, you can still find your fave grocery brands here like Coke, Pepsi, etc.

Yelp
While in Chicago I was trying to do shopping and stores to find some of the items that I can't find in Florida. I had some stores in mind that I didn't get to but I did find a few things while traveling about. I was hanging out with my friend and they suggested going here as they carried a good variety of things in the realm of what I was hoping to find. When we got here they exclaimed about how much this place had changed since they were last year. They used to have a huge bakery as part of it which is gone now and now contains a lot more grocery items. We did find a lot of great things and we both made purchases. One thing that we were both a bit excited about was finding Quisp cereal. It was one of my favorite cereals when I was younger and it has become near impossible to find anywhere. They picked up a box for their wife who also really enjoys it. They have a really nice selection of wines and cheeses, just not the ones I was hoping to find. We were also hoping to find some coleslaw to go with dinner but they were already all out of it. This was not an issue as we did find quite a few other items worth purchasing. The store is very large and easy to shop. They also have two restaurants attached and I would love a chance to try them. The people that work there were quite friendly and the checkout was very efficient. The one product line I was really excited to see in the store was Amish country popcorn. I'm a big fan of their products and have used several of them. I generally shop them online but if I was local I would come here to pick up some of the items they have available. If they had had a wider variety I probably would have picked up a few things.

Yelp
I like the food but the employees are not great which impacts my willingness to shop here. Especially the catering area. They make themselves seem so busy they cant get anything done and so many employees to do the job of a few. Paying a premium for food I expect better customer service.

Marianne R.

Yelp
Well stocked and accessibly small upscale grocery with good wine, seafood, meat and deli selections. Helpful staff

Suzan Ganser G.

Yelp
Awesome healthy food, unique items to. Fresh produce and cegranakea. Clean and staff friendly

Rose G.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I last shopped here. Previously , the food was fresh and generally worth the high prices. Recently, bought several items for a quick dinner. The Italian beef take-home was almost inedible. The beef was tough, stringy and tasteless. The potato salad from the deli tasted off ...almost spoiled. (Jewel potato salad is much better at a lower price.) Not sure if Standard Market has gone "downhill" or if I just had an isolated bad experience.

Yelp
Standard Market management/higher-ups are doing some shady business to their dedicated, valuable employees, which also takes advantage of their customers. I think customers deserve to know that when they added an optional tip screen at the cafe about a month back, they knocked off $5 PER HOUR from their employees' pay, claiming that they would make it all back with tips from the new tipping system. The employees' pay was cut, even if they just got a raise. This is obviously BS and wrong, because Standard Market is now profiting a ton off of huge pay cuts to their employees, while expecting the customers to make up the difference. To me, it's seedy, sleazy work by Standard Market. Shop at stores that actually care for their employees, because we all know that dedicated, valued employees are the heart of any store. Don't shop at places where they pay their employees $10/hour. You will get lower-quality products from beaten down, disrespected workers.

Yelp
I have been coming to this location for several years. I would tell people that it was an upscale market with expensive food but the quality justified the prices. The meat department was always providing quality products including Duroc and Berkshire pork. This was a store for special occasions and when you felt like spoiling yourself. Tonight I walked in and wandered down to the meat and seafood department. From afar I noticed that they had some whole red snappers. If you look at the included pictures you will see what was sitting on ice waiting to go home with somebody. The fish were dull, dry, no sheen with sunken dry eyes. I didn't need to pick them up to know they probably stunk. They looked like a fish that has laid in the bottom of a boat in the sun all day. What bothers me is that the fish monger would leave this on the ice and try to pawn it off on somebody. I would love to see him feed it to his family. It will probably wind up in something in the Standard Grill, a perfect place to funnel old product. I hate to say it but Standard Market should be called Substandard Market.

Yelp
This a great supermarket with a variety of options available. Love the hot food station, premade family meals and other unique items you can't find elsewhere.

Diane R.

Yelp
Ordered a cheeseburger to go that was raw on the inside and smelled. After more than a few bad experiences, I will never shop here again. Bought fish that had tiny white worms and chicken that wasn't fresh. Obviously there are issues with management, suppliers and fresh food that is kept around way too long. I would also add that the people handling food are not practicing sanitary protocols. Not worth the high prices at all!

K B.

Yelp
Love this market - They have exactly what you need without all of the other crap that larger grocery stores carry...which minimizes your time spent walking thru to locate what you need quickly High quality foods Big fan!

Yelp
Amazing store. My sister (Yelp Elite) sent me the link so I started looking at the reviews & there are 1/2 dozen Yelp Elites that I have become friends with over the past few years that have been here. Uhhhh hello I feel like Johnny come lately. The store is like a candy store for foodies with the incredible selections of fresh fish, seafoods, meats (especially the steaks). A little pricey but beautiful selections. Unfortunately one of the reviewers mentioned a specific item that sounded soooo good I knew going in that's what I was going to buy. After a quick trip around the store I went and ordered what I came for. The herb encrusted focaccia, toasted Panini style w/roast beef sandwich with blue cheese & caramelized onions. The bread really makes a huge difference in the quality of the sandwich. The focaccia was pressed and toasted with a nice chewy consistency that I feel makes a huge difference in the sandwich. The roast beef was lean and nice & rare the way I like my beef. Adding the caramelized onions & bleu cheese was the perfect compliment to a great sandwich. Will I go back again? Absolutely when there are so many options available. They also have a taco bar which I want to check out and a wine and cheese shop. So many options everything is beautifully presented and laid out.

Yelp
I'm not 100% sure what to think of Standard Market. High prices and generally good service, yet some major gaps that keep it from being 5 stars. Pros: - Some great products unavailable or difficult to find elsewhere, for example: Standard Market label prepared Quiche, Nueske's Bacon, some excellent prepared meal kits (Pork Tenderloin in "plum sauce?" purchased yesterday with mashed potatoes and salad...best I've ever bought in a prepared kit), good and freshly-prepared Sushi items - Fairly quick check out lines - Strong meat counter with lots of options - Generally very good service with employees that go out of their way to help - Generally attractive interior design and layout Cons: - Can someone PLEASE clean the hand baskets? Could grow produce in some of them. This is a factor on every visit. Just dirty. - Not enough market penetration in the suburbs of Chicago (I drive from Glen Ellyn to Westmont...roughly 25 minutes passing a lot of competitors) - Not sure I trust the prepared foods in the food bar near the deli section (food looked over-held and dried out in last visit) - Deli could, and should, use a numbering system (last visit, waited a long time, eventually walked away to get other stuff, and came back to the end of a longer line) - Very limited selection in some departments, for example, the dairy case (not everyone wants full fat yogurt from Iceland) I will keep going there as they have some anchor items I can't find elsewhere, which is, I'm sure, part of their marketing strategy. The quiche, alone, is worth the drive. Good, yet not great. "The Devil is in the details".

Yelp
High quality grocery store with pretty reasonable prices.

Yelp
This market has a lot of specialty items--if you're on a particular diet or you can afford prepared-meals for every meal, then this is the place for you. I have stopped in for dinner a few times or to meet up with a friend, and they always have good, fast options. The Naperville location used to have good deals on seasonal produce--so if you watch the flyer, then that can work to your advantage. The only reason why I wouldn't give this place five stars is that it is so expensive. Unless you are a dual-income household, then the prices really are off-putting. I do understand that it is high quality, but it makes WHF look like a grocery-outlet. Last of all, I am attaching my recent salad. You can tell that the salmon portion and salad as a whole were generous--so if you need a quick place to meet a date or a friend after work, then check it out.

Yelp
Obviously, this place has 4 stars for a reason, so let me hurry up & get the "con" out of the way: As a resident of Elmwood Park, I found out abt this place via a website called "Common Good", where SM is listed as a "refill station". According to CG's website, customers can bring their empty plastic containers to Standard Market & fill them up with laundry detergent, hand soap, and an all-purpose cleaner. I WAS ELATED, hence the reason why I drove 15 miles for the experience. NEWS FLASH: Standard Market is NOT a refill station despite the fact that it's listed as such online. Now, I know what you - a tech savvy yelper - is thinking: "Why didn't you just call before driving so far to confirm?" I DID. I spoke with a customer service rep who told me that I didn't need to bring my containers to the customer service station to be weighed prior to filling them. WELL THATS ODD, SEEING HOW THESE FILLING STATIONS DONT EXIST. I have this really bad habit of giving ppl the benefit of the doubt so let's just hope that the CSR was running on autopilot, aka tell customers what they want to hear so the phone conversation can end sooner than later. However, I did speak to the very approachable manager who apologized for the mixup, and honestly, a personable manager always makes up for a crappy situation in my book. The manager did say that they weren't even aware of the listing on CG's site & that it was not a partnership that was being explored. BUMMER. I guess I'll just have to continue to throw my single use plastics in a landfill - or start my own refilling station. Are any investors reading this? Let's talk. ON THE PLUS SIDE: the sushi here is delicious!!! If my body disagrees with that statement w/I the next 45 minutes, I'll update this post. Despite the mixup, I'd still say stop by. They have a HUGE wine room (talk abt knowing your demographic) and a lot of fancy cheeses to match.

Yelp
Yeah, so The Don pizza was a terrible disappointment. Clearly chef must have been smoking more than Salmon on the day that he came up with the idea for this pizza. The idea of the peppers with the basil and honey sounded good at first (I ended up omitting the honey because it was for my son) If you use peppers on a pizza, especially this variety of pepper, REMOVE THE SEEDS! THEY TASTE TERRIBLE AND ADD A WEIRD UNNECESSARY TEXTURE wtf?! The pizza was charred too and not in the way you might find pleasurable. Strike 2

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, I actually remember when they first opened. It's a very nice upscale grocery store with the conveniences of having a wine tasting area, full restaurant, butcher, and sushi counter. My favorite parts are the restaurant, fresh flowers, and heat & serve dinners. Perfect for weekday quick meals, just put in the microwave or oven to have a full, balanced meal in 30mins. The restaurant has delicious food, cooked to order, and a full bar. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars are the prices. You can get 5 grocery items and easily spend over $50. Probably not practical for everyday shopping for most people, but great for high end items.

Yelp
Love standard market. Everything is very fresh, restaurant is great we always order something. We like the to go meals by the check out that seem to be perfect for families. Always my go to when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Coming into town from Florida, I called the day prior to see if they carried Mauro provisions giardiniera. I was told they do, but they did not have any in stock. I was trying to pick up six jars to be able to take home in my luggage. The girl who answered the phone was very helpful oh, and said she would conta ct the vendor about getting some in so that I can purchase it the following day. She was even prompt about calling me back letting me know that it would be in by 12 noon. I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to get my jars of veggies. Fast forward to the next day. We arrive on our plane and get to Standard Market about 11:20 a.m. we were a bit early but when I went to the service desk nobody had a clue what I was talking about. I was told that the cases would all be left at the service desk and that I could pick from the cases and purchase them there. Multiple people had no idea what I was talking about as the person who was so kind that they prior never left word or note with anybody. We decided to go eat in the cafe and wait till after 12:00 noon. The cafe by the way was just a bunch of overpriced mediocre food. Either way we came back at almost 12:30, and still nothing had arrived from Mauro provisions. I knew their location was in Lisle and that it was not very far from the location in Westmont of the store. I was told they would be there within 10 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes. I happened to venture back to the area where they kept the product on the shelf, and found some jars pushed all the way to the back. Instead of waiting what seems like forever for something that wasn't coming, I grabbed the jars from the shelf, and went to pay for them at the checkout. For a store that started out being excellent with service and making me feel impressed, they failed and I was disappointed. Not only did they tell me they didn't have any product in stock, and that it was pushed all the way back on the Shelf and in stock, they also failed to get the product in when they told me it would be there multiple times. It would have been really nice if the staff knew and the girl had left a note that we were coming. I guess it's no loss because next time all of this order it directly from the company I have it shipped. It's not like I will be coming back to shop in the store since I don't live in the area.

Yelp
Great high end market. Everything on display except some ground turkey looked excellent. They have there own corned beef. Sushi bar, salad bar, lot of really nice premade looking meals. The desserts looked like the baker made pastries that were on steroids. The cheese and salamis looked Delilah. Wish they sampled the salamis. Had the hangar steak sub, was good liked the flavors but was a little overwhelming . The asagio bread was so good. Marinated hangar steak with arugula, caramelized onion, blue cheese .was really good but think it was a tad overpowering with the. Complexity of all those flavors. They had fruit and citrus waters available. Lemon lime and berry water. The dining room was so nice. Sat on the porch and lunched by the fireplace. Also fresco seasonal seating facing parking lot. Near the cheese and salami section there w is a charcuterie bar.in a enclosed atrium . I would definitely revisit this

Yelp
Standard Market disappointed again this morning. AT 8:00 am I went to buy the advertised Christmas-Dinner-for-Two. Nope, sold out. No willingness to make more. Very poor management approach to customer satisfaction! (I should say, one nice crew member tried to be helpful and double-checked, and then offered me a gift card for my frustration.)

Yelp
This place seems to be like a yuppy version of Wholefoods. More of a boutique of a grocery store with a restaurant. They get their items from locally grown areas. It's a hidden gem cause the building looks like a plain white looking barn and you'll sure pass it if you weren't looking for it. The place sells high quality products. They have a nice wine/beer bar in the back where they sell wines, beers, and different cheeses. There's also an out door area facing the main road as well. If you want to eat in this wine bar area, you would have to get your food take out from the restaurant and bring it there which we did one time..pizzas and salads. They offered us wine flights and they will even open and server your bought wine for you at no cost! They have a nice selection of breads and pastries made on the premises. I've bought some stuff from here...just remember they don't take cash at the registers (something about man power counting and managing cash boxes). So bring your credit cards or bring your cash to the customer service desk and they will exchange your cash to a gift card. You can also replenish the gift card as your card for this place if you wish. The restaurant area is the main reason why I would come back here again and again. You order your food then they will bring it to you. You even get a server for our table! I've eaten in the patio area during the summer, in the semi patio with doors, and also inside by the bar table area where you can watch TV (look food network is on!) or sports or watch the cooks making your food. I LOVE their Steakhouse burger with sweet potato fries. It's high quality food so you'll be paying more than $10 bucks for a main dish. Their salads are good and their pizzas too. Everything is fresh and so yummy. I haven't tried their deli sandwiches yet, but plan to! I even tried their seasonal grilled halibut for dinner, wow I wanted more please! So fresh and lite! Soups of the day were all good, I like their chilli. My favorite is a free warm little brownie that's in a Standard Market package that is given to you once you're done eating. Sometimes the food might be much that you're able to take the rest of your food home. The best is free flavored water (they have these water containers filled with plain water, water with fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, cucumbers, and even citrus like orange, lime, or lemons, etc. I would go out of my way to eat here. To shop there, only when I plan to eat there. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop there as I would go to Wholefoods or Caputo's for my organic products. Price sales seems to be a bit cheaper than here.

Yelp
With only the 2 of us, wife and decided to go store bought from Std Market. Not perfect, but I'm giving 5 stars. My wife is an outstanding cook, so standards are high. Turkey is the main deal, and this turkey was moist and flavorful. My guess is brined. A little salty, but is juicy breast meat is the pay off, sold. American style over whipped potatoes can ruin a meal. These looked over whipped, but the taste was very good. If American style is your taste, box ticked. We are big fans of cranberry relish, Std Market boom, outstanding. It was just us two, but in a jam, I would not hesitate to serve family and guests.

Lily O.

Yelp
Always expensive, now prices up so much + quality of food and service down= Not worth it any more. Recent example: Horrible "dinner for two" - these come in a bag and you can't see what you are getting, so this is a warning to you. Can't seem to get the photo to post, but last time we had the pot roast, literally half of it was fat/inedible. (The photo shows the amount on my plate, (literally half, and that's just one of 2 servings) that was inedible. Sent the photo to their customer service, got no response at all to my feedback, so I assume they think this is OK. Not for me.

Yelp
New York Rye - best ever, have been buying it for years. I never have it sliced, bring it home put it in 375 oven for 18 -20 minutes, let it cool for at least one hour before slicing it. Who made that bread? What did they do with it? Now it's been replaced with "Caraway rye" which is also a good bread, but tastes like it has more whole wheat, just not the same ): Please, please bring back the greatest New York rye!,

Yelp
This is my new fav place for lunch. Who says you have to go to a restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. The Standard Market is more than just a grocery store, it's a convenient way to shop, eat, purchase prepared foods, gifts and a wine bar. During these past two days I enjoyed Their Tuna Pokè Bowl and their Buddha Bowl, delicious, delicious, delicious. Although a bit pricey, but worth it.

Yelp
This is the worst place to go to if you are African American/ Black I was in that store on Thursday Aug 5th around 1pm and was told to leave the store. This stems from me asking someone that was following me to stand back and give me space, this person had followed me around the store as I was shopping and I was going to check out and he was all in my face and told him to step back due to coronavirus I don't need anyone close to me and he was not wearing a mask he identified himself as the owner of the store, and I said I don't care just get out of my face. He told me to leave the store and I asked him why he told me to get out and informed the cashier not to wait on me and that he was going to call the police and, I told him to do that thinking that I will get better service from them. I called the police as well Westmont Police Department. The police came had a conversation with him outside came in and told me I need to leave the store without any explanation at all I'd ask them why, they told me that he didn't want me in the store, I told the police it was because of the color of my skin and he told me he understood and I left the store. That's the comment and the service that I received from the police department. I thought times have changed but apparently they haven't,. If you are an African-American person or any one that would like to see racism stop and not be in your neighborhood, my suggestion is don't go to that store Standard Market in Westmont because they do not want your service at all. I go to the Lexus dealership in Westmont for service however I will find another location to go to because I'm afraid for my safety they are in Westmont. I am so happy that I don't look at people in color because if I did it would be a messed up situation. I don't let people bring me down as that did not however I just needed to put it out there to let everyone know how that place is. Alan Harmon MD

Yelp
Love the groceries. Fresh deli and butcher shop. Love the selection of fish. Love the ready made foods and soups as well. They have a great taco place on the side. A must try. As well as the cafe and bar. Especially when they offer the lobster roll. Just like the ones from Boston.

Yelp
I have had mixed feelings about this place, some days great staff looking out for us on patio, other times terrible service. Great pizza, unique menu selection. Bathrooms 2x have been pit of towels or soap, which makes me wonder about employees. Cashier, young girl not the friendliest, she could make you feel welcomed not rushing you to order. Great patio, easy parking..

Yelp
This would probably the best grocery store in the area because they literally have everything I needed. Aside from an organized and fully stocked selection of daily basic necessities, the store has a impressing counters like sushi, deli and even pizza. I am seriously going in here for their hot foods and other prepared meals which are really good and everything is always fresh plus the prices are fair and reasonable. It is always pleasant going in here. I highly recommend them. You don't have to think twice before going in here because they never disappoint.

Yelp
This grocery store is fantastic. A little over priced for some items but as far as I store made items they are great! If you are looking for a quick dinner or sushi this is a perfect place.

Yelp
Nice breakfast menu on the weekends at their in-house grill. Good burgers other days. Hot looking chef, rawr. Good, not cheap, bakery for impressive little desserts. When you want a pre-prepared dinner I would go here over whole foods-hinsdale. Used to have better, more obscure things for bakers but maybe hinsdalians just order out and leave their giant stoves for the maid to dust? Great meat section, lotsa sauces, you will find tasty things everywhere.

Yelp
Came here with my three young kids to shop for an easy meal to heat up on Christmas Day. We were all surprised to see how many customers and employees chose not to wear masks. Is this not one of the busiest shopping days at grocery stores? Are we not still in a pandemic? It was hard to see since we're currently experiencing a surge due to omicron. Why put your employees at risk? I'm sure they'd rather not be exposed to people who unknowingly (hopefully not knowingly) carry the virus, especially since everyone probably wants to visit with family this year. Thumbs down to this place.

Yelp
I went to the grocery portion of Standard Market on a mission and had a pleasant experience. Standard Market has a fantastic selection of products and everything is appealing. I'm a huge fan of chocolate-covered banana chips and theirs are fabulous. Everything here is neatly organized and easy to locate. I love the atmosphere here. The parking lot is a bit busy but you'll definitely find a spot.

Yelp
Great meat department, the butcher cut us one of the best châteaubriands I think I've ever had. The guys said the lobster was excellent also! And, the cheese and wine department is also really good. Love this place!! They had everything we needed for a Bloody Mary bar too!!

Yelp
A very fancy grocery store with a restaurant and wine bar on location. We opted to have dinner at the restaurant area, you order at the counter they give you an electronic number and they deliver to your table. The burger was good came with this kale salad and my friend ordered sweet potato fries that was a huge portion. Overall nice chill place to hang out with the girls.

Yelp
Price point is a bit too high for my budget but this is a really nice neighborhood market, huge space, nice big parking lot. Has all the usual departments, just ratcheted up a notch in terms of quality and presentation. The marcaron options were fantastic but at $1.99 a cookie, sadly out of reach for me. Lots of fresh fruit, prepared foods including a whole line of vegan options, gorgeous floral department with very healthy looking vegetable seedlings.
