"Another change for the brewery is its new executive chef, Mason Huffman. He started out at Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza, the brewery’s on-site but separately run pizzeria, back in 2012. (The brewery has since purchased the pizzeria.) The chef is behind the smoked meats and barbecue program now offered in addition to steadfast pizza." - Gabrielle Pharms

"Jester King Brewery now owns the land that the brewery resides on in Dripping Springs. It bought Ceres Park Ranch, which also includes the wood-covered Ceres Park Ranch Event Center (which will eventually open for events and weddings) and Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza (which will now offer the brewery’s beers)." - Nadia Chaudhury

Awesome environment, we went during the day, it was very family and pet friendly, the pizza was great, right off the open flame. When your pizza is ready they text you. The beer selection was kinda limited however very flavorful. The restrooms were in a airstream so it kinda stank. The open air dining reminded me of Germany and it was so much fun.i would recommend this place.

Google
Cool spot for some brick oven pizza! They offer plenty of different pies that sport fresh mozzarella and toppings, along with some seasonal concoctions. They're made as you order and baked in a brick oven. It gives the crust some awesome burnt spots that are real crunchy and tasty. The area itself is large and covered, but there's also outdoor seating. They have beer on tap as well that's different from the beer served nextdoor at Jester King. It's also dog friendly. Definitely a good place to grab a few beers and have a good pizza with the family.

Google
Great pizza. Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Family friendly. The Willie pizza and garlic knots were my favorites. It gets crowded, so try to go early. It has a fun, Texas backyard feel.

Google
Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza is my favorite place in Texas, a relaxed, family and pet friendly atmosphere. The pizza is among the best in the world (I lived in southern Germany for nine years, with many Italian immigrants and very authentic restaurants there). And I've spent more than thirty days visiting Italy. This is some of the best pizza anywhere. Fresh, farm sourced veggies and meats. All their pizzas are amazing, and the garlic knots are so, so good as well!! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable too! I'd give ten stars if I could!

Google
Pizza here is always outstanding, my favorite is the Willie, the other thing great are the salads which comes with a really tasty piece of garlic bread. That is accompanied by great beer from the nearby Jester King Brewery and a great farm like open field fir the children to play, great way to pass an evening with friends and family.

Google
Great pizza and beer selection. Family style dining. Great place for kids and families. Even though there is no playground, the kids love running around in the big field out back. Well-behaved dogs welcome!

Christine East

Google
Great woodfired pizza with a variety of interesting toppings. Highly recommended to pair with a tasty Jester King brew.

I love this place been coming for a long time it feels like. Got here today just to find out I could no longer have my Stanley's growler filled. Other than that I still love the food.

Yelp
This place is awesome! It truly feels like a Texas brewery. We are doing dry January but still had many drink options. Their hot chocolate was great. We also ordered their pizza and fries. Both were amazing, highly recommend. Service is friendly and we loved the goats!

Yelp
Close friend and recent Austinite chauffeured us here from our hotel on South Congress. Who would have believed that some of the best artisan pizza and beer would be found on this beautiful ranch. (Unfortunately it was past sunset so we could not see much of the land around us). We ordered the Capri and Citron pizzas. My husband and friend had a brand new hazy IPA yet to hit the menu and I ordered the Heirloom cider. Both pizzas had perfect crispy crusts with a light smoky flavor. The Citron was unexpected with its balanced lemony, fragrant hues and the Capri hit all the right Italian seasonings. The guys loved their smooth citrus IPAs and my Heirloom cider was delicate - just like its champagne description. The servers were all super friendly and helpful in a true Texas manner. I hope we return to TX again so we can experience the true ranch surroundings at this gem of a place

Yelp
Jester King Brewery has been on my bucket lis for some time and I'm glad I finally made it. Went with Austin fam on a warm Saturday afternoon. We ordered food from on site food trucks and were all quite pleased with what we got although I can't quite remember the specifics. You order the beer at the counter and carry it to your table. Ambiance is rustic Austin style. The brewery is really spread out. The afternoon we were there they had a blues band playing in the covered open air area. The music was good though a little loud to my ancient ears. We found a picnic table up the hill a way where we could enjoy music, food, beer, and conversation easily. Jester King is child and pet friendly and, to their credit, have abundant ice water nearby. Certainly worth a visit.

Yelp
I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Jester King. This is the coolest spot to take out of town guests or to enjoy as locals. They have very unique beers that are all very good. They have a large property, where you can visit with goats and other animals. We love looking for the brewery cats. They have an awesome heated area when it's chilly outside. Their food is fantastic. I see they have a vegan pizza that looks insanely good, but I have not been able to try yet. I did try their focaccia and French fries which were so good. Make sure to visit Jester King when in Austin!!

Michael C.

Yelp
You get to drink good beer while petting goats!!!! Wtf else could you ask for? Beautiful land and premises. Beer is just okay. Goats are def the highlight.

Norma W.

Yelp
Cute. Down Home country feel. Outdoor venue with a roof. Fantastic for big groups or families. Nice place to grab a beer and a bite. Fantastic outdoor playscape for the kids. It's a walk up bar and order food. Bar service is friendly and knowledgeable. Hoping to bring my family next time I make it out.

Filip S.

Yelp
This is a fun concept brewery with lots to offer. Located in a remote location, Jester King has a very rugged and rural feel, which can be seen from the unpaved access road through the goat enclosure on their premises. They offer a good selection of draft and bottled beers, many wines, and food options. I tried their Surf Metal beer, which was very refreshing on a warm, autumnal Sunday afternoon, along with some of their pizzas. The pizzas had a good aroma and are generously sized. The whole place is self-service: order at a bar or by scanning a QR code, then go pick up your drink / food when it's ready. Plenty of seating (both covered and open-air), and nice nature views. When we were there, they also had local artists selling their creations, which were great to browse through while waiting on the food.

Yelp
Jester King will always have a special place in my heart. I learned about it long before moving to Austin. Upon learning I was a sour beer lover, my friends in Wisconsin introduced me to Jester King, which at the time was a hot commodity in Wisconsin as it could not be purchased in stores and my friends had driven 20-some hours from Austin to Madison and brought a few bottles with them. Unexpectedly, a few years later, I moved down to Austin, Texas for grad school. What was the first thing I did after moving here? I drove out to Jester King. I've celebrated a lot of birthdays here, as have my friends, and I have a ton of good memories tied to this place. The energy here is very chill and it's great to unwind here after a crazy week at work. There are a number of outdoor areas you can sit in. There is a covered area which is heated in the wintertime, and a nice wooded area which is shady enough in the summer. The covered area often has live musicians playing at on weekends. Their beer and pizza are amazing and will bring you life after a long day of rock climbing at Reimer's Ranch. I love that they rotate their menu and focus on a lot of local ingredients. I love that they have goats on the premises. I also love that sometimes they have baby goats that the employees knit tiny little sweaters for. This place is a vibe and I highly recommend y'all check it out! As someone who just moved to another state, this is one of the places I'll miss in Austin.

Andrew T.

Yelp
I was excited to finally come to Jester King since I was in the area. I waited an hour for my first beer. I wish I was exaggerating! I placed an online order thinking it may be faster than waiting in the line at the bar, but it literally took an hour to get one beer. Once I started ordering from the bar it was a lot quicker, just had to learn my lesson I guess. Overall, it's a cool spot. If I'm ever in the area again I'd like to give it another shot. At least the beer was good!

Emily A.

Yelp
Visiting a brewery is always recommended when in Austin, so I made sure to check out one of the spots on my list. Ordered a Black Metal Imperial Stout, and while I enjoy stouts, this one was quite strong--but the small amount I had was enjoyable and paired well with the Pepperoni Pizza we ordered later. We sat outside, chatting with friendly people and even joined in on a book event happening on site. Overall, it was a great experience. Would def come back with a bigger group.

Sandra B.

Yelp
We enjoyed a Friday afternoon at jester king with our newborn while our family was in town. It is a bit of a drive but you can spend an entire afternoon there! They have a great beer selection, some hazy some sour etc! They also have wine which i enjoy more than beer. The pizza is so good and have interesting flavors. We got a margarita classic and a lemon hot honey one which was sooo different. They have goats, a playground for kids, and lots of places to sit in shade/sun!

Tanya S.

Yelp
Went with 2 gfs to check out the annual brew festival on the 21st! Fun but hot! Lots of shade and beverage options other than beer . Beer was delicious and lots of variety; great space and atmosphere!

Alan H.

Yelp
I don't know what happened but the quality of the pizzas went downhill. The service, beer and the expansion of the place is still great. Probably won't be recommending Jester King to friends unless it returns back to amazing pizzas.

Neha G.

Yelp
Went there on Fri eve, great place for outdoor gathering and to get different vibes than standard restaurant seating. Great collection of drinks (beers and wines). BEST WOOD FIRED pizza I have tried in AUSTIN so far, plus you get sunset views if you go at right time. We tried cpari pizza which basil pesto with cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella. Be prepared to wait 20-25 mins for pizza though. It's famous for a reason so you should must give it a try.

Diane D.

Yelp
Not as good as previous visits. A brewery that pushes beer in a can over draft beer is not my idea of a brewery. And judging by the lack of people there on a Friday night, others agree. Thanks for your reply but there was 4 draft beer options tonight.

Nolan S.

Yelp
I visited Austin years ago and wanted to visit here but wasn't able to. This visit I was able to! The brewery is on a big farm. There are goats and big open spaces to meander about. They have live music under the big shade area. They have a lot of beers theyre pouring (most from bottles) and the beers I tasted were all unique. I also opted for the tour which was great! I learned a lot about farmhouse ales and my tour guide was awesome! I definitely recommend any beer lover in the Austin are stop in and have a taste! Cheers!!

Alden C.

Yelp
While reviewing my bookmarks last night I noticed I didn't post a review for Jester King regarding my beer experience with them which is a little bit unforgivable considering how much I liked the beer I had from them. Not only did I not just like a beer but I had a great deal of enthusiasm for the beer which was an IPA which many times I am simply not all that impressed with enough to drop five stars. But in this case it was. The Deinos Kynos was an Imperial/ Double IPA that Steve and I were simply blown away with. The usual characteristics of an IPA for flavor like citrus, hoppiness and floral notes were all there along with maltiness. This extremely well assembled IPA with a nice touch of sweetness just impressed us to no end and completely blew us out of the water. Oh, if only all IPA'S had it as all together as this one!

Jeff P.

Yelp
hi! awesome place to be out from the city! lots of parking, huge open space, where you can run around. had a great experience with the food and the goats/baby goats. ordered the Loncito pizza, hot, fresh, and tasty. thin crust all the way. also ordered the Gochujang cookie and that was different. huge cookie. was able to see and hangout with the goats. they are friendly and love fresh green grass. it was quite and interesting experience to make some new friends today. they do not bite and are friendly as long as you do the same. overall, had a great time here, check it out!

Jim M.

Yelp
Visiting Austin for a few, hot (95º+) days, our host suggested a brewery tour for a party of six. Boy, was it haut! Menu ordering is by QR code or at bar. Quite a number of IPAs available. The tour was over an hour with a passionate (if not loquacious) guide. Sampled a number of products. A large pavilion sheltered the patrons from the heat, cooled by large ceiling-mounted misting fans. The wood-fired pizzas were good as was the crispy salad. A bluegrass quartet entertained the patrons and families along with canines. Large screen TVs entertained NFL fans.

Jen B.

Yelp
Jester King eludes a specific definition. It's a combination of a craft brewery (they make great beer and give fun tours), a park (with lots of picnic tables) and a farm (complete with Nigerian goats). Tip: Over and above a variety of beers, they also offer a selection of gluten-free wines and ciders We spent almost a half day here, doing the tour, having a picnic, and enjoying the sunshine - all of this with brews in hand :-)

Olivia B.

Yelp
Such a cool brewery to visit! Just a quick drive outside of Austin. It's huge! Plenty of seating and space to eat, drink, hang out or check out the goats! We arrived a few minutes before it opened and the goats were out for their daily stroll- such a cool experience to hang out with over 60 goats. The selection and quality of beer was great and so was the service. We went on a very hot day, so we were thankful that there were fans with misters. Highly recommend!

Rachael L.

Yelp
Did not care for the pizza. We had the funkadelic and the Gorgonzola wasn't a good combo with everything else on the pizza. We also had the garden salad which was pretty large with a very small size of dressing. Service was ok. Girl taking our order wasn't the friendliest and seem put off by my questions. Ambiance is better than years ago. Appreciated the covered area. Place was absolutely dead for a Friday night with a band. Met up with friends here, but wouldn't go in future unless it was a meet up spot with others.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Great beer, friendly goats, and delicious pizza. What more could you ask for? The friendly staff and the walking trails are a great added bonus. I've been to a lot of breweries, and I honestly think Jester King is one of the best in the country for both the beer and the setting. If you have time, it's worth booking a guided tour of the property or a goat walk. The goats are not only cute and friendly but they do so much for the brewery/brewing process. Carve out a good few hours to take in the experience. It's about a 30 minute drive outside the city of Austin and worth every minute.

Iris H.

Yelp
It's a whole experience, more than just a brewery. The land provides space for beer hall, picnic tables, goat farm, and much more, something for everyone. It's definitely worth the drive from Austin. We came in the afternoon and saw the beautiful sunset. The beer was good and you can order pretty easily from multiple spots. You can spend hours chilling with friend here.

Taylor S.

Yelp
A great brewery to walk around and hang out at! The sour beers here are amazing definitely try them all!

Shavonne R.

Yelp
This is their pickle pizza with arugula & chili oil and a cider #1. Both were amazing! All outdoor seating and bars, misting fans are everywhere. Try the gochujang caramel cookies, I wanted to buy a dozen more before leaving!

Aurley G.

Yelp
The best brewery. The prettiest venue with the best beer and staff. I always have the best time here...not to mention goats with battle jackets and Sasha?! So cute. Can't wait for the next Doom Forge day- legit the coolest thing ever. Jester King really is the coolest effing place.

Loralee D.

Yelp
Had a delightful day at Jester King starting with doom metal goat yoga, great drinks and pizza, music and a cat sighting!

Amanda F.

Yelp
My Husband and I stopped here for a drink on a hot summer July day. They have mist fans in the main area. There is water stations to get additional water which is helpful when it's hot af outside . They have a variety of drinks to include cider, wine, beer, and cocktails. The day we went they didn't have flight boards available so carry what you can drink. You can also buy bottles to go. There is food but limited for me who is dairy free and gluten free. I saw a lot of pizza being consumed which looked delicious. Overall a cool little place that I would rather come in the cooler months so I can hike and have a drink or two afterwards.

Jeff A.

Yelp
We had a couple of pizzas and several different beers. Excellent chill atmosphere, very kid friendly. And they have goats!

Dave F.

Yelp
We're not local to Austin, but this is a must visit every time we are here. When then weather is nice, there are few breweries globally that can top an afternoon at JK. The sour (spontaneously fermented) beers are on par with the best in the world, like Cantillon. The rest of the beer lineup is solid, the food is fantastic, and the ability to walk amongst the acres of farm in the hill country makes this a great place to visit. Just spent the afternoon drinking Atrial Rubicite watching goats play while the sun began to set - it was sublime. In previous visits we've done the tour, which is really informative as well. The peaceful surroundings are such a perfect counterpoint to the speed and growth of Austin, it's a beautiful respite a half an hour away.

Clarissa A.

Yelp
Ambiance was everything. Food was yummy and fast. The service of the staff was excellent, efficient and friendly. Loved the area; obviously the goats are my favorite. The beer tour was definitely worth it!

JRam C.

Yelp
They have nice collection of beers, they have oven baked pizza. A barn filled with livestock. The hike was great around the brewery. They lave live music

Madeline A.

Yelp
Definitely worth the drive from Austin. This brewery is so nice and chill. Love the open air, live music, and amazingly delicious vegan pizza.

Courtland M.

Yelp
We were recommended this place by a friend and were not disappointed. Jester King is about 20 to 30 mins outside of Austin (depending on traffic) in the scenic TX hill country. When you arrive, you will be amazed at how big the place is! The brewery is basically on a ranch with a large outdoor space that has a playground, walking trails, and goat pen. We ordered beer and pizza and loved both. There was also musicians which was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and the overall vibe of the place was great. We didn't pay for the goat tour but still walked by the fence and got to see some of the animal. Definitely a TX experience! Highly recommend.

Paige M.

Yelp
A crowd-pleaser for beer geeks, kids, and everyone in between. They always have a great variety of beer and hold a special place in the heart's of sour lovers. Beyond the beer, they have great food and sitting areas as well. Kids can play on the playground and check out the farm animals. It is very easy to pass a few hours here since there is so much land to explore and various bars across the property that serve different beer.

Marina G.

Yelp
Great spot right outside of Austin. We did the $5 brewery tour and it was so worth it to check out the brew area and hear more about their process. I also got the brisket fries (but forgot to take a picture because they were so good) - highly recommend. Bartenders were friendly and offered some helpful suggestions.

Jingwei K.

Yelp
Yet another spacious brewery, this one sprawled after several acres of Texas ranch. There's plenty of parking, and there's ample seating in a main hall as well as several picnic tables scattered throughout the hills. Enjoyed the outdoorsy setting, with trails for taking a short stroll after a drink or two. There's even a goat petting zoo and playgrounds for children. Wish we had a bit more time to explore the premises as well as try out the food trucks, but that'll have to wait until next time!

Flora B.

Yelp
We have recently discovered the wonderful Dripping Springs wineries / breweries. Jester King was a referral and is kid-friendly with a playground. There are working goats that graze the area. Dozens of crafted beers and really good, farm fresh dishes. We enjoyed this brewery in the late afternoon for an early dinner and wind down beer after hiking Hamilton Reserve. $10 per person to play with the goats

Marie L.

Yelp
Pros: Food, beer, parking, pet friendly, kids, family, groups, misting fans, free outdoor water stations. Cons: bugs, heat (depends on season), can get pretty dark, not a whole lot to do so bring a football or frisbee. This was my first visit and not only was it packed due to an event, two bars were closed so there was one line to order food and drinks. It's mid October so the high was 95 degrees but thankful for the 85 evening temps with a slight breeze. I'm not from Texas so these picnic style outdoor eating environments are only my vibe in winter and spring when the weather is cooler and there are less bugs but there is a ridiculous amount of parking, picnic table outdoor seating, a wooden playground and a trail that runs through it. I thought there would be more of a view but I imagine people go for the beer. I had the blueberry wine which was very tart and Meade-like. I loved it but I wouldn't call it dry and it certainly wasn't sweet (if that's your thing). The pizza was really good.Capri was my fave and the pesto added a nice salinity. I love a wood-fired pizza. I'll go back but only during certain months of the year but regardless of if you're the outdoorsy type or not, this is a place you should visit.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
Great brewery with a cute goat farm (with baby goats). The goats are easily observed behind the fence but if you want to get up close and personal it's a small fee. Ample outdoor bench seating made for a lovely afternoon relaxing with some beer and ciders. We also did the tour which was cool to see.

Blake D.

Yelp
The food, beer, staff and GOATS are amazing! Do the Goat Walk!! They are open 7 days a week now so what's your excuse?

Pokénom X.

Yelp
Great Venue. Exclusively outdoor (some covered) seating on a goat ranch/brewery located in the beautiful Texas hill-country. The brewery specializes in farm house ales, all unique and very good, and has wine and ciders from other local businesses available. They also make some good pizzas and a variety of other eats. Most importantly, you can spin 2 **gyms** and a *pokéstop* all from the central seating area and there are 2 other pokéstops nearby, accessible by a short walk or when entering/exiting the parking area. Easy 5 stars.

Leila L.

Yelp
Stopped by here in our way back from Hamilton Pool. There was quite a line when we got there to check in for some reason, which they said was to just ID you. However in the end you put your order online and get a text for pickup. The website claimed a 30 minute wait for pizza, but by the time we decided it was a little over an hour wait. Not ideal, and I feel like for pizza it should be pretty quick since they have the stone oven. That's the main reason I knocked a star off. The pizza itself was phenomenal. Knowing the wait we should have ordered 2 for 3 people. We got a side of olives that comes in a large container which we also enjoyed. The ambiance here was pretty chill. You get folks who are just super casual and then folks who look like they could be instagram influencers here. Witnessed a birthday group, a bachelorette party, a baby shower, and a pug meetup all together! There is also an area for goats if you wander far enough to check them out. There's also a nature trail which we didn't get to explore. Next to the stable was a private area where we also saw a wedding gathering.

Andrea R.

Yelp
In the middle of nowhere, delicious food, delicious beer (here is where I tried sour beer for the first time in my life and been obsessed ever since), it's very calm, beautiful views, and the service is always nice. They have goats and I love goats. Lol Can't wait for the weather to calm down so I can bring my fam!

Steve L.

Yelp
This oasis of a brewery, goat farm (doom metal goat yoga, anyone?), and nature reserve...is epic. Super solid beers (primarily known for sours/wild ales, but great IPAs and stouts to boot), wide open spaces with 2 bars (with differing taps), a goat farm for family fun, walking trails, and even scratch-made wood fired pizza! This time we got the Mason (red sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni, red onions, fresh Lioni mozzarella, pecorino Romano) and, even though I try to never ever have pizza while traveling (something we New Yorkers aren't exactly starved for, thankfully), this...was delicious. Could it have been the beer talking? Perhaps slightly...but this was admitted good pizza, and just what I needed. Had to try the blue corn muffin, as I do love me some corn muffin/bread - it was fine, but better to have more room for pizza or beer lol About a 30ish min uber/lyft ride from Austin, there's absolutely no excuse to not stop by and make one incredible day of things! I was back here in March 2020 and now having revisitedin March 2022 (F-you covid and messing up SXSW 2021...and so much more), this place is a must. And don't forget to say hi to Sasha, the Golden Retriever / goat herder!

Eliza R.

Yelp
We've been coming here for a long time, since it was Stanley's farmhouse pizza so it's been great to see the additions like the cute goats and large seating areas! Great to bring a large group of family or friends. The pizza is always good but make sure you order ahead because it can take almost an hour. The pizza crust is also more wheat and local grains which is cool and unique but I prefer a little less chewy texture personally. Tons of good drinks to choose from and you can definitely kill an evening here walking around the property and eating/drinking!

Aaron A.

Yelp
Great brewery but there are kids everywhere. Really ruins the vibe. If you're a boring person that likes ruining fun with your kids, come on over and have a compromised beer while pushing a stroller. The Nanni is great tho

Debra R.

Yelp
Great outdoor setting. Enjoyed the covered open air (mist fans for cooling). Beer choices were awesome. The person who waited on us was super nice to us. Visited the goats and got to pet several of them. Nice placed to hang out and relax. Out in the country, but close to the city. Family and pet friendly. We didn't eat the pizza, but it looked awesome. We will be back.
