Great experience here at the Stan's in the Woodfield Mall. Arrived shortly after the mall opened so there were only a few people there. We got a few donuts and some drinks...everything was very good...though a bit pricey. We paid about $30 for six donuts and three drinks (cold drink, hot chocolate and hot coffee). They have some interesting donuts there...including some gluten-free options. The staff there was very efficient.

Google
Stan’s Donuts has a few branches in Chicago but sadly, none in Dallas—and we miss it badly! They truly have some of the best donuts ever, especially their gluten-free chocolate donut. It’s so popular that it’s usually sold out unless you pre-order the night before or early in the morning. If you’re lucky enough to grab one without pre-ordering, consider it your lucky day! It’s incredibly addictive—once you try it, you’ll keep craving it again and again. The packaging is also super cute, making the whole experience even better. Dear Stan’s, please open in Dallas, Texas! It’ll be a guaranteed hit. If you’re in Chicago, don’t miss out—consider yourself lucky and go treat yourself to the best donut ever!

Google
Worst stans doughnuts known to man. The employees cover the chocolate in paper so it all comes off. Milk is not cold.

Stopped by today because we were in the area. The donut I got was big Fluffy and delicious, and my boyfriend also enjoyed his old-fashioned glazed. The staff was very friendly and nice, no issues with service at all. But the coffee is so overpriced and bitter. I had high hopes for this little shop. Very cute decor and everything and the donuts are beautiful. Over $20 for 2 lattes though is insane.

Vegan options are delicious! I wish there was more. Especially something with sprinkles. Prices are reasonable. My kids enjoyed their donuts.

Google
Stan’s donuts are good and good quality. But it’s very expensive for what you paid to what you are getting. Service was little slow and indifferent.

Google
Thank you so much for the donuts and we love the chocolate glazed one!!! Thank you!

Google
Donuts are good but the attitude of some of the staff here is awful. I asked employee Max a question about whether there were more donuts available and she was rude and whispered something under her breath as I walked away. It's not the first time I've received rude service here from someone who seems to hate their job. I won't be coming back to this one anymore.

Yelp
I had the craving and this place delivered right to my taste buds. I had a chocolate and red velvet doughnut and they were pretty tasty. Make sure you have a drink near by though. They are a great size and good flavor. Not the best but not the worst I've ever had. Overall a solid 8. Give this place a try.

Yelp
The donuts here are quite good. There are three different tiers to chose from (standards, speciality and dough boys) and the highest tier has the fanciest ones. Though even in the standard bottom tier those are quite good as well. This visit we grabbed a variety half dozen. So we got 2 donuts from each tier. Every donut was delicious.

Valathur F.

Yelp
Tried the Chicago shop donuts. Size and flavors outstanding. But very on the over-pricey side. Personally is an overindulgence and was a try once at least bucket list type endeavor. Might try at Schaumburg Woodfield Mall if financially can justify such an indulgence.

Yelp
Since the pandemic, different establishments from downtown have been delivering to the burbs thru different platforms including donut shops. Happened upon one of their trucks in the burbs at an event and thought I would try them again as it has been years. I remember Stan's having crazy creative toppings and prices on the higher end. Given this was for an event, their choices were limited. Glazed: I was excited for this classic, however was disappointed as it was underwhelming. The donut itself was quite large and its height was pretty high but it didn't have that pillowy feel when you bit into it. It was a pretty standard glazed and didn't meet the expectation for the cost of $3. Birthday Cake: The cake donut itself was ok, nothing spectacular nor anything bad. The quality of the white chocolate was noticeable as it was really smooth. Overall it was really sweet. Chocolate Dipped: Same review as the Birthday Cake just chocolate and no sprinkles. Lemon Pistachio Old Fashioned: It had a nice lemon flavor and the texture was on point for an old fashioned. The pistachio flavor did not come through and you wouldn't have known what type of nut was used as it was pretty scarce. Overall it was good and my favorite from the bunch. Overall for its price point the donuts were ok. I would place Stan's just below a few of the other well known donut shops.

Yelp
Very good gluten free donuts and cold brew coffee. The chocolate and pistachio are delish

Yelp
They never have any donuts, I placed an order and the "manager" accepted the order knowing they had NO donuts and instead of canceling it so I get a refund he just let it be and now I have to reach out to the toast ordering app by email to get a refund. DO NOT GO HERE.

Yelp
These donuts are so overhyped and not worth the price. The blueberry cream cheese donut is 3.99 and the Boston cream was 2.99. The Boston cream was a bit doughy and the flavor of the chocolate icing was pretty dark. The blueberry cream cheese I will say was pretty good, it has a nice and flaky sweet glaze on it that I liked and the blueberry compote on top but there wasn't much cream cheese filling and I wouldn't pay $4 for a donut.

Yelp
Yay: Woodfield Mall location! Newsflash to the world! Also donut shaped cookies available that are slightly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Enjoyed my espresso one. Plenty of selection like usual! Nay: my tried and true Biscoff pocket was not fresh, which was really disappointing. Definitely not made that day. That was a real bummer.

Yelp
Located inside food court at Woodfield Mall, it hasn't been open for too long. For me, Stan's always taste the same no matter what location you go to. I always get their glazed donut. The only 1 loss of star is customer service: person who was taking out donuts looked frustrated when we weren't ready, and the cashier was annoyed when I asked for a plastic bag to put in my donut paper bag. My hands were full so I needed a plastic bag to carry my 2 donut paper bags.

Yelp
I'm always curious about reviews that knock a place or knock stars off because of price. I mean...you consent to the prices when you order the items, right? Unless you aren't aware of the price tag prior to buying, I'm not sure how any consumer could fault a place for how much the items are. But anyways, rant over... I love that Stan's has come to Schaumburg! I lived right by the Wicker Park location and indulge way more than any human should. The donuts at this location are actually cheaper than the city locations, with some priced at just $1.70 each! Woozah! In terms of specialty donuts, this isn't as good as it gets. However in the burbs, it sure is. Slightly annoying to have to trudge inside Woodfield to get the doughnuts. Such is life, aye? Not a bad option if you're already in the mall and want to grab some breakfast.

Yelp
Grand opening!! This place is absolutely amazing and I am soooooooooooooooooo happy they opened a Stan's here since the next closest one to me is in Wicker Park! The donuts are so fresh, coffee is so good, and the shakes are so refreshing. God bless this company for their amazing quality of food and drinks.

Yelp
Stan's is to donuts what Starbuck's is to coffee. It's not really just another donut shop and if that's what you're expecting, yes, you will think it's expensive. But if you look at the exceptional quality and size of what Stan calls donuts, you'll realize it's actually a bakery more than a donut shop. Stan's has a wonderful selection of donuts which makes it hard to walk away with just one. When you think you've decided which one you want, you'll notice another one calling your name that should also be in your bag. I went recently to buy some for a coworker to thank him for his help. By the time I finally pulled myself away from the display case, I had a box of four for him and four more in bags for other people in my office that I knew would like them! So forget about your diet or your budget and enjoy yourself. Life's too short not to! :-)

Yelp
The worst donuts in the United States of America. I placed my order through door dash, spent around $45 for the assorted donuts. First of all donuts are suppose to be good before adding all the toppings. The donuts were horrible!! They tasted very yeasty, vinegary, and stale .
google avatar

Ivy D.

Yelp
Delicious and Rare assortments staff is nice and helpful. Also you can grab bubble tea a few doors down.

Yelp
Am I a stan of Stan's? Not quite... but I definitely consider them as one of fave donut spots in Chicago. I remember the year when I first tried one of their donuts -- 2015 -- a year after they landed in Wicker Park, their first IL location. My relationship with Stan's started the moment I bit into their chocolate pocket with Nutella and banana. I'm not a classic donut kinda gal (unless you count red velvet), so for me, the more creative/unique the flavor is the better. I tend to go for what Stan's calls 'pockets', which are square-shaped donuts that have a filling. All the pockets I've tried so far have been generously stuffed, but I understand that not everyone has been as lucky. On my most recent visit, I tried pocket flavors that were new to me: banana Biscoff and blueberry cream cheese. The banana Biscoff is perfect for cookie butter lovers. The blueberry cream cheese, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing because the dollop of blueberry jam on top slid right off not too long after it was put in the bag with the other donuts I purchased. So if you're eyeing any of their donuts, make sure that any filling/topping on top will be able to stay put while in transit, unless of course, you buy enough for them to put the donuts in boxes (like a half dozen or dozen). It'll save you a goopy mess. Without that jam, the donut was practically just dough and cream cheese, so it wasn't worth the money. P.S. After many unsuccessful attempts at trying a Stan's donut, the day finally came for my bf who, for years, always visited the shops too late in the day, when options are scarce/not as exciting. I got him a chocolate pocket with banana and Nutella. He was, for a lack of a better word, SHOOK.

Yelp
Bomb donuts. If I must be in the mall, and trust me, I really don't want to be, making a stop at Stan's really puts me back in a good mood. I mean what is better than a peanut butter stuffed donut and a hot cup of coffee? Not much I tell you. The line moves slow because it's rather difficult to make a donut decision without looking at every option. So everyone has to view the entire display making it rather boring until you get in viewing range. Donut me!

Yelp
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned against You. I have indulged in a glazed, a Boston cream, and a cinnamon sugar pretzel donut, all adding up to about 2 days of caloric intake. There was no good angel on my left shoulder to coax second thoughts to my conscious though if there was I would have flung it to the lower level of the mall. I tried to justify by telling my wife "see, this is what you get for leaving a bull to graze while you prance through Sephora" but deep down, I knew the fault was my own. The donuts are too good, as are the shakes. They are way over priced. Nearly $4 for a single donut and a half dozen = 19.95? Hmm, no, I'd better get that oil change. Guessing the price includes delicious plus nostalgic gratification...its a deal! The donuts have this deceitful, light airiness to them. They are very fresh. One can easily down too many as they don't hit the bottom of your stomach like a brick, but rather ease in so figure watchers be on alert.
google avatar

Yelp
These donuts are amazing. I got the pistachio glaze and lemon raspberry glaze... best donuts ever
google avatar

Yelp
I tied the pistashio glazed doughnut and biscoff banana doughnut and they were delicious, but the price hits your wallet. Nice for a one time try. Now it could have been a 5 star but they lost one for the rude cashier who never greeted me and just went straight for the bag with doughnuts to ring it up and then said the price and nothing more at all after that. After i gave her my card i signed for it and waited for my receipt, and after her just staring at me for a while i had to ask for my receipt and still nicely said thankyou and have a nice day, but she was still silent and even ignored the next customer till they had to say something. So overall the doughnuts were good but the cashier sucked, the rest of the staff was nice though

Yelp
It's a nice treat to see how well developed Woodfield has become. Stan's Donuts is on the top floor in the new food court section above the Rain Forest Cafe. We came in around 1pm and there were a variety of donuts well available which was good. I took one star off because of the poor service I received. The quality of donuts are great but the service needs work. My friends and I had to ask for stickers to seal our bags and had to put our own donuts in the clear plastic bag. The cashier didn't say anything during the whole process. I paid last after my two other friends. Before I got my sticker and plastic bag, the cashier rang up the person behind me rather than finishing up stuff for me. I had to ask several times thinking maybe she didn't hear me or something but no she did. She was just really rude about it. It would've taken 10 seconds to reach over and just hand me the plastic bag but no, went to the next customer. Please consider hiring staff that will be friendly to your customers that spend the extra $ on your product. I've read previous reviews and service is what your store needs to work on.

Yelp
I would give this place a zero. For the money and the amount of filling is Ridiculous. Look at my photos, it looks like one of my donuts filling was sucked out by the owner. CLOSE This location ASAP.

Yelp
Flashy lights An expensive wall full of amazingly colored stand up mixers Cases filled with instagram ready donuts Super strong cold brew Adorable swag for purchase Great branded donut box and napkins Now that I got that out of the way I'm going to be real. My eyes definitely loved what they saw. We picked 6 donuts, cold brew and two frozen hot chocolates. I was excited to bring the donuts home and dig in. Glazed: probably the best of I HAD to pick Boston Creme: okay. Unfortunately the filling was inconsistent. When sharing, especially with kids... you know equal parts is a life or death situation. Le Stan: Croissant donut. This had the opportunity to be a very good donut. But it tasted like it was a day old. Stale. And the layers came apart like an old donut. Nothing flaky about it. Vanilla Sprinkled glazed: Get your kids this one to have a sugar coma and take a nap soon after. Cake donut, glazed and then donut iced with sprinkles. Woah. I would have loved this donut 30 years ago. Today, I found myself to realize my age and "I can't enjoy the pretty and sugary things" thought came to mind. Maple long john: tastes like pancakes. If u like maple and someone buys you one. Enjoy. Glazed old fashioned: Again tasted old. Not fresh. I'm critical with my donuts. And the bright lights and cool decor made me excited to try it. Watch my video and see our unfiltered reactions.

Yelp
Now, before anyone gets upset by this review... Take the minute to read why. I was there on a mini holiday with my husband, who was there for work. I decided to go to the mall. I mean hey, this mall is a cool mall. After my lil shopping spree (I didn't get to see nearly enough of this mall) I decided to stop & grab a bit. I went to the Mac & Cheese place & it was.. (A different review) Anyway, I went to Stans donuts for a Tea & a sweet. The service was outstanding, the sweet was average, nothing to write home about. As well & I ordered black ice tea, It was fresh & hit the spot. Here comes the rub.... There is a tip jar next to the register, now I used to work for tips so I know what they mean to your income. So I causally asked, if you are the only staff for your shift, do you get to keep all your tips? He looked at the jar with a puzzled look and looked back at me and said............. "I have no idea what happens with that money" So I said being that you are clearly allowed to accept tips, here is $5.00 directly from me to you & only you. For this reason is why the poor review. That's just not cool, I in no way support that. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Yelp
They have glutenless donuts. I REPEAT... they have glutenless donuts. I have been eating low carb for about a year now. I saw that they had a GF donut and did a double take. I quickly forgot what a carb was and headed straight for the ordering line. They did tell me it was cooked in the same oil as the other donuts. I do not have cross contamination issues, so I knew I would be okay. They had 3 flavors to choose from and I picked chocolate. I quickly walked (okay, maybe even ran) to a table and ripped my bag open. I sunk my teeth in to this carby, delicious, sugary treat. It was SO good. I am mad that I now know these exist. How do I keep myself away from these when I have not been able to eat a donut since 2010? I donut (see what I did there??) even care that the donut was like 4 dollars. It was worth every penny. Oh yeah, and my 2 year old ate her own donut too. Because, god forbid I share mine.
google avatar

J G.

Yelp
I asked for two dozen regular donuts including 6 vegan ones and got charged $63 .Iff my coworker who was celebrating her birthday wasn't such a big fan I wouldn't have purchaser them due the price not matching the quality. The donut themselves were bland and everything seemed cloyingly sweet, After looking at the menu, it seems I might have overcharged since regular donuts are $20 and specialty ones at $30. I wanted to like this place but didn't have good donut experience.
google avatar

Jenni M.

Yelp
I love the simple fact that Stan's GF donuts taste like the real deal. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything delicious. Happy to be able to enjoy the little things in life at one of my most favorite donut shops.
google avatar

Annette B.

Yelp
Mmmm, I love me some Stan's Donuts, especially with locations popping up closer to my home! I would go to the one in the city, but I'm a suburbanite and it's infinitely easier to get my Stan's fix now that Rich Labriola took over. This particular location is at Woodfield Mall next to Sears. There was a little bit of a line when I went on a Friday night but it moved along just fine. The staff members were kind and recommended some great doughnuts for me. I went with the old fashioned and chocolate nutella pocket. DIVINE. I'll be back again shortly!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here Always passed by it and I wanted to try it out . I recommend the doughnuts those were worth the price I believe. I also ordered a strawberry milkshake, the person told me it would take about 10 min for it since they were low on ice cream ok cool no worries . It's been more then 10 min now I didn't want to be rude and be like what's taking so long . It started to get busy and it was only one person there so I tried to not be annoyed by it . 24 min passed by and I finally got my shake but I got the wrong one .. another 5 min and it finally got it . I was getting kind of mad tbh but once I got my shake i thought it was going to be worth it . Nope . I prefer a McDonald's shake over this place . It was super sour and not a fan of the syrup I thought it would be natural , I don't think it was worth what I waited or the price . Debating on going back , should've just gotten a refund since I ended up throwing it out

Yelp
"Huh?" - was my initial reaction when I realized I just paid $18 for 6 donuts plus 12% Schaumburg food sales tax. Dang! just been b**** slapped by Mr. Stan in Woodfield Mall. While my family shopped inside the mall, I followed carrying the box of donuts in pink box, in clear bag, and looking for proper words to use for my next negative review. At this point, I was still upset with Mr. Stan but I want to be open minded and fair so searched the internet for whatever I could find to justify the over priced dough...but none, which fueled my anger even more and could not wait to slam Stanley. Got home, opened the box, and laid out all six donuts, and taste test them all... "Woah!" these are not donuts...and all of a sudden my frown turned to smile. The price tags are too high for any donuts, but in reality these are not donuts.
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
Thought I would give Stan's one more chance since I work at the mall and like to support fellow businesses. I was in line at 7:53 on Friday evening. Two employees working and one customer at the register. Plenty of donuts still in the case. As I'm standing there waiting to be served, one of the employees goes in the back and shuts off the lights. I asked are you closed and he didn't look at me or respond to my question, so I left. The next morning I went there and was served a Maple Long John which was over cooked. I wanted an Apple Fritter but I could tell that they were all overcooked. A donut should be soft when you bite into it not hard! I'm done trying to give Stan's my business after 5 miserably failed attempts. Thank god there is a Dunkin' Donuts in the mall.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
Paid over $4 for a donut. Bought the chocolate, Nutella, and banana. Just tasted ok. Love the large selection of donuts available and the fact that they also serve coffee. Located inside of Woodfield mall in the new food court area. Looking forward to trying other selections but not looking forward to the price if it was the same quality as the one I ate.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Was hanging out in the mall killing time when I discovered Stan's. These are premium donuts at premium prices, but so worth it. I tried the Chocolate with Nutella Pocket and it was excellent! The pocket construction allows for an uniformity of Nutella filling. Meaning you get a bit of Nutella in each bite as opposed to a typical round donut. Good stuff.
google avatar

Edward M.

Yelp
Donuts are good, light fluffy and flaky but not worth the high prices. If they were a dollar less each donut, it would be a much higher rating and worth it. Donuts range from almost 3 dollars to almost 6 dollars each.
google avatar

Nisha P.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick treat after a shopping trip. No line and service was fast. The donuts were absolutely delicious! Tried the coconut cake donut and will definitely get it again.
google avatar

Kawla Jane B.

Yelp
Hooray!! Finally, stan's donuts here at Woodfield. Me and my husband tried this just a couple of days ago and everything that we got was awesome. From the donuts to the mango smoothie we got. Can't wait to try the ice cream and donut cakes! Service is alright. Fast but unfriendly. Their stall was neat and clean. Your eyes will feast on those colorful and instagrammable sweets that are on display. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
Speaking of good doughnuts, Stan's are awesome!! Not just a verity of icing and flavors, but a great selection of actual doughnuts. They all taste great but the pistachio is my favorite. And strawberry glazed raised is something special. Even though they grew fast, they kept the quality up and the same. Good job !!!!

Mark B.

Yelp
How is it possible that a donut shop runs out of donuts? Everytime I go to this location they tell me they have no donuts. Might as well name it Stan's NoNuts
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Yummmy!! The doughnuts were fresh and amazing!! We will be back to try other flavors. My husband and I tried the red velvet and Boston creme! The milk shakes look good, we look forward to trying those and the coffee too. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Just yes all the time and all the donuts. Blueberry old fashion is just the best. Also they have gluten free and vegan options

Adam F.

Yelp
The first time we saw the Stan's donut in Woodfield we approached and with no smile or any simple customer service the person behind the counter said "we are closing in ten minutes" Then I looked in another case and a different person said we are closing in 10 minutes. If I was the owner I would train my people to sell product not chase customers away. The next time we went it was 7pm on a Saturday and there were no donuts at all in the case. There was one platter on top of the counter and my fiancée said those look like samples then with all the charm of a prison guard tossing a cell the counter person said "no those are miniatures". So I still have not had a Stan's donut. My advice to anyone who is trying to lose weight go to Stan's donut's in Woodfield you won't have to worry about overeating.
google avatar

N Dot G.

Yelp
Ril's customer service was a delight! He was knowledgeable about the coffee bean blends, informed us of the points program and upcoming shake flavors. The coffee was delicious and i will return in the future
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Was hoping to get a milkshake. Unfortunately, they had cleaned their machine, so I wasn't able to order. It was 4:45 and they close at 6:00.
google avatar

Jane L.

Yelp
i see stan's donuts on insta all the time, and thought it was cool that they had this place in woodfield mall food court (: only having tried the chocolate donut, i guess i can't say much. but not exactly sure what all the hype is about. i did appreciate that it wasn't overly sweet tho. otherwise, i dun think the donut was worth $4...
google avatar

B S.

Yelp
Please tell me why you couldn't let me purchase a donut and when it was just after closing time yet you let someone else right in front of me buy??? Horrible customer service, lazy employees, you had 50+ donuts left but no motivation to make the sale?? Never coming back, I can buy cheaper donuts just as good at Jewel!
google avatar

Bianca L.

Yelp
The two girls working up front at 10:45 on Friday (today that I'm writing this) were too busy with their conversation to help me. Had to stand there for two minutes staring at them. They didn't say hello or anything so I just interrupted them and one of girls just kept talking. I asked if they had any vegan donuts and one just said "we have cinnamon and sugar" in a rude tone like I was bothering her. I asked if they had any other because I've been to other Stans that have more than two options that are basically the same and she was like "...no" so I didn't purchase anything. Would have got one if they weren't so rude. 2 stars because the donuts from there I've had in the past are usually pretty decent.
google avatar

Mikaila S.

Yelp
Donuts were delicious the place was clean but the service was so so I was Not greeted by the employee behind the counter nor did she bothered to smile once as i placed my order poor Customer service
google avatar

Kris C.

Yelp
Tried three different type of yeast doughnuts: Cinnamon sugar, glazed and pistachio. All three were dry. Maybe because they weren't fresh but I've had Winchell's, Yum Yum and various mom and pop shop doughnuts that tasted better and were probably sitting out most of the day. I'd be willing to try again but not in Chicago long so I'd rather try a local spot instead.
