Ristorante Stapferstube da Rizzo

The food was good and well presented, though not particularly exceptional given the price point. They also had a great selection of wines. The biggest downside was the service: we waited almost an hour between our starter and main, and the staff seemed quite inattentive — no one checked in between courses or offered dessert or coffee after the mains. Overall, given that the restaurant is quite pricey and featured in the Michelin Guide, expectations were naturally high, but they weren’t fully met due to the slow, inconsistent service and an experience that felt decent rather than exceptional.

Was in Zurich for a 1 day layover. Booked a last-minute evening reservation fairly easily. Ordered the Shimp Pasta and it was great! My wait staff, a young lady, was great but the creepy host staff, an older guy, who opened the door upon arrival acted weird like we shouldn't have been there. Sat us close to the front door. Wish the atmosphere was better & more welcoming but the food and direct service were great. 4 Stars.

Food was good and the setting of the restaurant was nice inside. Too bad the entire place stank of smoke from the open smoking room that vented air into the rest of the restaurant. This really spoiled the atmosphere and experience. Ontop of that we waited for an hour between the starter and main course. While the food was good and average priced for Zürich - let down be service and horrible smell from the smoking room through the entire restaurant.

Surpising location within the residential area of Zurich with nice outdoor seating for a summer dinner. While the service and food is all right, there are other places in Zürich, like La Zagra, that I prefer in this prize category.

Cute decor, great service and great food. We had the asparagus salad, chicken and the tuna filet. Tuna was one of the best prepared tuna dishes I've ever had. Also appreciated that the waiter considered our wine order in pairing with the means we had selected to make sure it wouldn't over power. Looking forward to another visit.
