Star Cinema Grill

We arrived a bit early and there were plenty of seats. We got a great seat selection and headed to the movie. There were previews playing and the sound was magnificent. Plenty of light to find our seats and the seats were clean and comfy. Our waiters showed up when we pushed the button and was friendly and cheerful. The food was unexpectedly good. The French fries were fresh, crisp, and hot. The sliders were top notch. Plenty of meat and not too saucy. The tuna was cold and the seaweed salad was fresh and crisp. It was hard to get refills on the drink. They put so much ice in the cup you get the dips and it’s empty. Then it take 18 minutes to come and get the cup and another 9 minutes to bring it back.

Star cinema grill college station had discount Tuesday tickets going on so we stopped by for a quick family night. Large clean facilities with friendly staff. They have a large menu plenty of options on food, snacks & drinks. Free garage parking. The fried pickles and frozen drinks were delicious. We didn’t get much food due to going to dinner afterwards but next time we will just eat at the movies. The food options were amazing. And next time we know to order food also.

just came here and saw the Minecraft movie with my boyfriend. The service was good and the food was enjoyable. Prices are pretty standard for movie theater. The movie was good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I am very sad to bring myself elsewhere because Star Cinema Grill has great food and seating. It’s just that the service is not great. Over the past few years the service has continued to let me down. Why am I waiting 30 minutes after my food got set down for a soda? It’s a common occurrence. I once even got my dessert, food, THEN my drink, in that order. very confused and I am going to mention the service charge. It is bad practice to not bold or make it known to the guests that the gratuity has already been added to the bill. It should be communicated more clearly in a dark room with only screen lighting.

Such a pleasant movie and dinner experience last night! We saw a 3 hour movie and sat comfortably through it! My burger (Impossible) was one of best I’ve had! Really good fries too! Very clean and attractive theater.

I used to love this place to the point I was going once a week and used to take advantage of their gift card promo but almost on every visit my food came in late!. Terrible services from the waiters, received the wrong food most times. Talked to management but nothing has been improved. Half of the time there is no one at the front to get tickets.

I have been able to experience several of the Star Cinema theaters and this one is my all time favorite places. The screens, sound,, and fild quality makes up for any lack in size.. The theater is exceptionally clean, has great service, and a super friendly staff that worked to meet all our needs. We rented a theater for a birthday party and the party room. All of our family and friends had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and we were able to pick a film that was enjoyed by all. I highly recommend this location and kudos to the staff for the VIP treatment.

I have the subscription and usually am at the richmond or city centre locations (for good reason) because the service feels like a 13 year old with their first job. Been here 3 times total, first time was fine but the second time my waiter forgot to give me change for $100 (total was $54) and made me wait 20 minutes after movie ended. The third time, which was yesterday, I went in with my companion to watch the new mission impossible movie and to my surprise the theater was playing stitch. We had to let a waitress know that a different movie was playing. I don’t even know what to say, just do better? Like damn.

I have never been to a movie theatre like this. It was awesome! The seats were comfy and the beer was cold and the food was great. We order the chicken pico, and Michelob ultra draft. Only complaint was that the chicken was suppose to come with broccoli and it came with French fries. So much for being healthy lol. Prices were very reasonable as well. We will be back!

I like this theatre, its comfortable, reasonably priced and you can order food. My most recent time here was to see the movie Wicked. The movie was ok, but I was not happy with the food service. I always order a shrimp Cobb salad with no bacon when I eat here. I ask for extra blue cheese crumbles. Well my salad came out with no shrimp in it, and I ate half of it before realizing there was not a single shrimp in it. I did not complain because I had eaten most of it, but next time I will order it with extra shrimp. Their blackened shrimp Cobb is my favorite salad of any restaurant location and I was really disappointed in how this was done.

Taking in a late Sunday late afternoon movie, but disappointed because they're out of ice cream, and Diet Dr. Pepper. We were also informed the drinks we did order will take a "long time". At least the movie isn't a horror genre. Our theater only had two other people, besides my husband and I.

Will be contacting star cinema head colder about this incident. Terrible service employees complain about being short staff they brought my food late and incorrect manager was disrespectful and did not take ownership for the mistakes that he made. He told me that two of his employees quit today on 11/30/24. I have never felt disrespected in the movie theater

Boy was I disappointed when I cam least week. Have ordered food from here 2x before and it has been great! Last week we went and ordered a caesar wrap and fries and chicken tenders and it took an HOUR AND 15 minutes for the food to come out and we ordered before the movie started. Finally we called them over to ask where the food was and they said they would check, they came back with just the chicken strips and they were cold and the fries soggy. Still no caesar wrap... asked 2 more times and it finally came out. The wrap itself was fine but the fries were soggy and cold. Very disappointed with this experience. Especially for the cost of their food.

Fun movie time but miss their old pretzels ... new ones are not the same. Not as good the old ones, pretzel logs are too bready . Miss the twist

I ordered a large popcorn no salt. 15 minutes later the server came back to inform me the manager says there's no way to order without salt. RIDICULOUS!!! I've gone to other Star Cinema grills in other cities and was able to order no salt! Why not here? Poor customer service. I'm the only person in here to see The Color Purple...maybe that's why I came get no salt popcorn

Higher-end movie experience and I love it! Give me plush recliners, food service at the push of a button and a clean, quiet theater and you've got my business every time. There is simply no comparison to other local cinemas. Although you can conveniently garage park for free and enter at the ticket desk level, riding the tall escalator up from the street really sets the mood-a slow progression from the hustle and bustle outside to a quiet, cool sanctuary under the stars. Literally, under stars - like John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, whose larger than life portraits grace the entrance and hallways. And check out the posh gold light fixture at the head of the escalator. Stellar! You can buy tickets online or at the door. I highly recommend the first showing of the day. You'd be surprised how few folks are there. Of course popcorn is a must, but don't look for popcorn machines or fountain drink dispensers. All food and drink is prepared in the kitchen and delivered to you. All your favorite movie candy is available too. Order from your seat, server will deliver, pay up at the end of the show. Great experience from previews to credits!

loved the movie it was clean and the food was amazing but the service cost and timing was HORRIBLE. Our waiter (says Seth S on our receipt) did not meet any of our requests. I asked for no onion on my salad. I asked for ranch for dressing which you would think it would be included... he said it would be 50c.... what? Well I get my food and I have onions and no ranch with my salad that I'm now paying extra for so I had to wait even longer to eat my food. once he brought me the ranch I asked for sauce to go with my sandwich because there was almost none of my sandwich and he said it would be a charge I said well you've already messed up my order twice can you not accommodate me? He said absolutely not. I was speechless. not to mention a Dr Pepper was SEVEN DOLLARS!!!!! WHAT?!! I won't be going back or be recommending this place just bc of this.

The food took forever, it was made wrong, and when we got the food it was cold and soggy.

I enjoy going to theaters where they have seats with recliners and serve food, and the Star Cinema Grill is one of the few theaters (if not the only, but don't quote me on that) that meets my needs in College Station. As other reviewers frequently mention, the food *is* a bit overpriced, but I understand that considering that this isn't a restaurant. However, I only wish that they carried more vegan options, as all they seem to have for vegans are hummus with pita and vegetables, the impossible burger, and side fries.

Movie theater is nice and a potential for a great experience. Kitchen was INCREDIBLY slow. We ordered food 10 mins in to the movie and I ended up canceling the order with 10 mins left in the movie. Took over an hour to get soft drinks. Maybe they should drop the grill part and just be star cinema...

Bar service was horrible, my girlfriend and i walked up to the bartender waiting to be helped but both workers just stood there saying nothing and not offering any services or drinks even though one of the workers saw us trying to ask for help just completely ignoring us, until i had to kindly say something. We asked for drinks and they told us no, to order inside the theater even though there were people sitting next to us ordering drinks and having an amazing time , so why we couldn't get our drinks ? But luckily who ever was the server for the 9:00pm movie talk to me saved our experience he was very kind , and very helpful with the menu we told him about our experience at the bar felt like we weren't worthy of being served at the bar and apologized for the experience great server wish i could've got his name .

This is by far the nicest full eat in movie theatre I've ever been to. The inside is incredible and decorated extremely modern. There's a giant bar in the middle of the room you enter in, with tons of seating around . The movie theatre where we saw meg was HUGE, I mean tons of seats, with a shared table at every 2 seats. Food came out pretty fast , sadly I couldn't get any pictures but we had the loaded fries, porky burger, some sort of spicy jalapeño burger , and 2 orders of fries . They messed up one of our fries ( gave normal instead of sweet potato) but they quickly corrected it when asked and let us keep the other fries ! This place has an awesome vibe and atmosphere and with the great service we received it's obvious this place is going to be a huge success !

The cinema itself is actually nice, but the food is sub par. The fries were bland, and my salad was not evenly mixed with dressing. The chicken had too much garlic and some gristle, and only four pieces of strawberry (even though strawberry was one of three total toppings). There was also just generally not enough toppings on the salad.

Sry friendly staff, beautiful instagramable interior with a nice bar. Lots of space to sit and chat before or after the movie. We ordered snacks and had no problem with the quality of the drinks and food. The seats are comfortable but the table in front of you don't swing / move as they do in some other dine in cinemas There is a fair amount of construction going on in the area so just watch out. They do have parking validation which is great

Charged me $17 for just nachos!?! And here's the part that really makes me mad, I asked the guy how much the nachos were going to be and he said he had no idea and there was no way for him to tell. In about 3/4 of the way through the movie he brings the receipt and when I see the price I just got up and left immediately. Definitely running a scam operation in the fact that there are no prices posted anywhere until after you've purchased the item.

Great "dinner and a movie" experience. Their menu is excellent, the drinks are good and the whole date night vibe is achieved. This a great stop to try a different feel of movie night.

We always have a great time at star Cinema. I love the convenience of being able to order tickets online. There's always someone who brings us our order and, although the food is limited, it's nice to have something to drink during the movie.

Great facilities and service. The bar drinks were a bit lacking but overall great experience & will return.

This was my husband and my first time coming to this theater. It's a beautiful theater and they have a great menu to offer with a full bar service. Will definitely recommend.

Five freaking stars. The menu is a bit pricy but it is worth it. My girlfriend and I got a sampler of mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and chicken tenders and they were amazing. The bartender was super nice and very helpful. You can go to any movie theater and see the movie you wanted to see, but if you want an experience to remember; come to Star Cinema Grill. You won't regret it.

The experience was great! No loud kids, no rowdy teens, everything was perfect! We will be back!

Great movie we saw but food absurdly over priced. I got a pizza for $17 dollars is it was no bigger than my hand width. And a pretzel app for $12 only came with 2 pretzel logs, 4 inches long. Don't waste your time here just go to a regular theatre and grab dinner out after. Not worth the money or experience. 0/10

Didn't try the food. Milkshakes were good. Pop corn was expensive for the serving. Still, Excellent cinema!

Very poor experience 2pm Saturday 7/15 showing of Mission Impossible. Movie was good. Took four calls / "server call lights" and over 45 minutes to get a Coke Zero refill. Was told kitchen was backed up? Wasn't aware Coke Zeros required cooking.

Have enjoyed past visits however, this time the food was poor quality, the service was not good, dirty bath rooms and my seat was not functioning correctly. For the prices paid this was a poor experience. Probably won't be back.

Horrible service. Waiters and team members have little to no training in service. Went to watch a movie and ordered a pizza, water, and coke. I received my water 30-45 mins into the movie. 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min in the movie, I received my pizza. Temperature of the pizza felt like it has been sitting for a while. I pushed the service button on my seat to get status on my Coke. I waited 10-15 mins and never got service. I never received my coke - my $6.00 coke. The movie ended and the waiter provided me my tap receipt - $17 for a pizza and $6.00 for a coke. I waited for the waiter to remove Coke on tap. She simply scratched off the coke and put "-$6.00" on receipt. Waiter said she will provide an updated receipt. I waited until end of credits - waiter never returned. I went to the the common employee area in theater to get assistance. By far, the most unorganized and unprofessional employees. I sat with an employee for 10 mins waiting for the waiter because employee refused to take me to the manager. After I got tired of waiting, I demanded a manager. I followed the employee all the way to the kitchen and the employee simply disappeared. I had to go to the bar and asked to for removal. The bartender simply pressed a couple of button for removal to find out it was already removed. Magically, the waiter was at the bar that I was waiting on. After the whole waiting and journey around the theater, all she had to say was " I forgot to bring the receipt back to you. I already removed the Coke". I was quite irritated that no one was able to help and there was limited employees to remove items. Training and organization is needed in this establishment. The reason that this wasn't a 1 star because I can say that the theater was clean, nice area, and quality of picture was good.

This place was awful. The food was not good and the service was even worse. When I got my food it was cold and mushy. The servers seemed annoyed anytime they came over. The manager came over to talk to us and he was very arrogant and uneasy to talk to. The service was very slow too. They kept most of the lights on while we were watching a horror movie. I've never been in a movie theatre where they keep the lights on. Very disappointed by this place considering how nice it looks.

We were one of the first one in the theater people came in after us but got food before us it took 1 hour plus for the food to get to us un professional but the food was good.

Good fast service, fun movie place, their chips and salsa you cannot go wrong with and a soda

I ordered a cheeseburger plain, a side of queso, mozzarella sticks, and two drinks before the movie started. An hour and 20 minutes into the movie and we still never got our food. When my boyfriend went down to the lobby to address this, they finally brought our cold food up 10 minutes later in to go boxes. They also forgot the queso and my drinks. Completely ruined my experience for this theater especially since it was my first time here. I am very dissatisfied and never coming back. EDIT: when I addressed the manager about this, she was not sympathetic at all and stated "well I gave you 30%" did not apologize for the terrible service. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Food was good, however overpriced, drinks are weak. But worse than anything is distracting people in the movie and the waiters/lack of management doing anything about it. Even after having to ask them to tell the woman with her 3 year old in a R rated movie (also shouldn't be allowed according to their house rules) to turn the flashlight off. So I guess having a flashlight on the screen and casting a shadow all over the movie is acceptable here. Good to know! The service has gone way down hill. Pity.

Front desk lady was a pain she ruined my whole movie experience w my gf she was being the rudest person alive and she was yelling across the other side to throw away our drink and she made a guy come up to us and snatch our drink which was very rude as well but I appreciate the manager for being kind seems like the only person there with some sense in how to treat their customers so thank you manager but everyone else need to quit if they having a bad day

I came in for a 10:20 showing and I ordered a lot of food and finally was about to order some alcohol and they notified me the bar was closed. They close at 11 and they already shut down the bar at 10:20. The bar was my main reason for trying this place out, I won't be coming back.

The food was average, the seating was nice, the drinks were good and the popcorn was cold. The place is pricey but nice atmosphere and comfortable chairs. Avoid the overpriced frozen Jack and Coke slushies.

Worst experience I've had at a Star Cinema. They messed up both my drink and popcorn order, then overcharged me. I also asked FOUR different employees for napkins during the movie... I never got them. The last employee I asked for the napkins looked at me and said "I don't have any." Will not be coming back.

If I could give zeros stars I would we went to see top gun on a Saturday night and the screen kept going black and we couldn't even see the ending not to mention we spent more than enough money on the food and it wasn't even good

This is a new style of cinema where you can dine and drink while enjoying your movies seated in a spacious comfy seats. One does not have to go to dinner or drinks before or after movies, all can happen at the same time in the same room. The cinema screens are so big and nice, the sound systems are amazing. The staffs so nice welcome you and take you to your theatre hous, come to your seat and take your orders. There are menus right at your seats, but the Tables are no moving and it is not really comfortable to eat while seated. But the idea is amazing. The location is so cool. It is close the University campus, business hub and residential areas around Northgate.

Been here several times now and will continue to return! The staff is really friendly, tickets are a little higher priced ($10 for an adult evening ticket) but I am okay with that. The place is not crowded, seats are comfortable, the bar area is absolutely amazing. The quality of this establishment is something I would expect to see at Disney Springs or Universal City Walk. Pro's Smaller less crowded theatre They bring the food and drinks to you in the theatre Crazy comfortable seating If you park in the parking garage they give a 3hr validation Con's Food is a little more on the expensive end, not bad but could be a little cheaper.

Have been here a few times and it's typically a good experience. This time was on a Wednesday night so not a peak time. The waiters interrupted us twice trying to give us other people's orders. The shared gender bathroom had zero toilet paper or hand towels so I walked to the other side of the theater to find the women's bathroom. It was very dirty and no hand towels. The theater itself was clean and very comfortable.

As an international student, the concept of cinema grill was new to me. I did go there when it had first opened. With assigned seats, you can get your tickets ahead in time and not worry about it. The first thing you notice is how friendly the staff is here. Right when you enter, each staff member that you see will greet you with a nice smile. And then finally when you make it to your seat, you notice how they're one of the most comfortable cinema seats. If you are a student at Texas A&M, do get your ID for a small discount. Earlier they also used to validate your parking in the garage, but the parking garage is free now. The only thing I did not like is the Veggie Blue's Brothers burger here. But the milkshakes are out of the world! In conclusion, if you want to deal with the friendliest staff, cleanest premises, affordable tickets, decent but affordable food brought to your seat, and experience your movie with sharp video and awesome audio, this is the place to be!

We had the best service, the best food, and best experience for our 7 year anniversary. We would like to thank our server, bartender and management for making it so special. The theater felt so clean. We will definitely be back in the future.

If you're going to splurge on a movie experience, this is the place to go. Theatres are clean, seats are comfortable, brood selection of foods, and generous food portions. I sometimes meet friends in the lobby just to have cocktails or a bite to eat because the ambience is inviting and relaxing. Their cocktail menu used to be favorable but is subpar at best since they changed it recently. I always had a glass of Bogle Cabernet and/or 12 Monkeys cocktail. Neither of these are available anymore and the replacement wine is mediocre. If you're going to have a luxury theatre, don't cut corners on the alcohol. Star Cinema is our theatre of choice but unfortunately we may have to go out for drinks before or after our movie.

By far the worst movie theater experience I've ever had. We ordered two meals and one drink before the movie even started to ensure we could eat while watching the movie. We were starving and ordered the simplest meals, chicken tenders and sliders. After watching every other group get their food and waiting 1 hour and 5 minutes, we pushed the button to request our waitress again. We told her it had been over an hour since we ordered and she said she would check on our food. They then brought out a plate of cold chicken tenders, still without any apology for the wait. Another 20 minutes passed, still no sliders. We pushed the button again and our waitress said she'd check... again. 15 minutes later the sliders arrive, a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes waiting for a simple kids meal. To top it off, the food sucked. No apology and paid full price for this meal. Never coming back to say the least.

The setup is nice but the chairs and table tops were filthy. I had to go to the restroom and get napkins to clean off my chair and table top. once the movie was about to start the waitress came to our row to clean our tables when I already did.

Hello. My time at Star Cinema Grill was not the best. I understand everything going on but how does someone receive their order within minutes before the movie is over? I ordered 2 waters, seasoned fries, and 1 large popcorn but they didn't include the water in my bill, so I got more money than I was supposed to. I rang the button another time after placing my order and the gentleman said it should be here soon. Close to 30 minutes go by and I have yet to receive my order and my cousins had yet to receive their order of loaded fries as well. I expect high expectations for this establishment for these ridiculous prices, honestly. Thank you.
