The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. We received the food approximately 15-20 minutes after ordering; I found the dishes to be mediocre. I did love the Israeli sweet beverages they offer though!

Service is great. Everyone is super friendly and nice. Food came fast was delicious and fresh! Great end to a Philly trip!

The second we entered the door, the feeling of home ISRAEL 🇮🇱 flashed me, the workers were warm and super helpful! They did their best we should have a 5 star service The place was busy and yet everything was under control and was in place:) The food was the best we had in a while in the US!

The Chef's Burger at Star of David Kosher Grill is nothing short of sensational. Sure, the beef patty, fried egg and pastrami may trigger palpitations among fellow heart specialists, but partaking every once in a while is indeed a treat that is more likely to generate a feeling of satisfaction and comfort, with added toppings of mushrooms, tomatoes and a pickle! The non-alcoholic Nesher Malt added to the experience that I look forward to repeating later in 2025.

Google
Great kosher spot with great food decently priced. Fast and efficient service with generous portions.

Google
Got there about an hour before closing and they weren't taking customers anymore. The owner decided to have mercy on us and said I'd be the last customer 🤩🤩 (Thank you for that!) The server brought the food to our table which I hadn't expected. The food was really good and very filling. I got a baby chicken sandwich in pita (so yummy!) and my partner got a schnitzel in pita. We also got french fries (way too salty) and onion rings which were so good!

Yelp
This is our favorite Kosher spot in town. I had the pleasure of visiting here again for a second time. We were here last summer, and we really enjoyed the food and hospitality here. Love the Sandwiches, Chicken , Hummus. you name it. Service was good here again. I will be back next summer again.

Yelp
Hummus and extra pita and schnitzel pita. Hummus and tahini were delicious - smooth and creamy. The pita was soft and chewy and went perfectly with the hummus and tahini. The schnitzel pita was crispy and stuffed with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. Came with sauces on the side which I appreciate. If I had more time, I would come back for more!

Yelp
New to the area. Just popped in for a Falafel. Took it home and enjoyed EVERY bite. I live about 2 miles away but it's worth the short trip. Everyone was VERY friendly. I felt like I was in Tel Aviv.

Yelp
Delicious food, peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, great service. Honestly the best restaurant I've been to, and I've been to many. Great selection, and everything tastes fresh. I really do hope they open more locations.

Yelp
I have been searching everywhere for good fresh falafel and I stumbled on this GEM! This is the best falafel I've had in the entire United States. Every time I visit Philadelphia I will be eating here every day for lunch!!

Amir L.

Yelp
Amazing food. I wish this business only success and that they continue to serve delicious food for many years to come. Strength.

Yelp
The food is almost always a hit, pretty much all of the items on the menu are great. My go to is the General Taos Chicken, and when I want to eat healthier or cheaper I go for the Schnitzel Wrap. The restaurant itself is a little tight, and when ordering inside the service is just okay. At times, ordering over the phone can be hectic and difficult. This makes the communication tough, which sometimes results in some errors when ordering. The staff are super nice and friendly and a pleasure to interact with. Because ordering and the storefront can be hectic at times, Star of David loses one star, thus earning four stars.

Yelp
Ordered the Jerusalem mix off grubhub..I got burnt bits of meat. Not tasty at all.. Will never order from here again.

Belinda R.

Yelp
Absolute disgrace and thievery. They charge you for orders and then when you get there they tell you they do not have the item you ordered - and refuse to give a refund!!! Staff rude and Physically abusive - and their actions are condoned by the owner!?! What type of establishment is this. The whole experience was a Chillul Hashem.
google avatar

Yelp
This is as close as you can find to a jerusalem hummus shawarma joint. Simple menu, decent portions. Everything tasted fresh. The pita is warm and fluffy just like the israeli kind. I ordered the hummus plate with baby chicken (pargyot), good to share with 2. Yet to try the other items in the menu but very happy so far. If you enjoy israeli cuisine, you should keep this place on your radar.

Yelp
They catered a charity event after the October 7 tragedy, the food was absolutely wonderful! Easily 20 different things on this menu that they brought and it was amazing. The service was delightful, everybody who works for them is very sweet, I can't say enough about how wonderful the food and the presentation were!

Yelp
Delicious so fresh so flavorful it's our new spot. We had the chicken platter hummus falafel. Best of all 3 I ever had at generous portions. Might even try Chinese next time. Strange mix but do good!

gayle s.

Yelp
We ordered through Grub Hub. They got the order wrong and when I called to complain the man on the phone was rude and non apologetic. He told me too bad and his other customers don't mind when he switches food. The food was mediocre at best.
google avatar

Cyndi A.

Yelp
This place has amazing food. There are several different offerings, and all were delicious. I highly recommend the lemon chicken. The portion sizes are generous and beautifully presented. My husband had the chef's burger. He said it was fantastic. The kids had the chicken nuggets... 1 order would have been more than enough. All the food is fresh and delicious, oh, and KOSHER!!!
google avatar

Vic F.

Yelp
Party of 6, 3 KIDS 3 ADULTS and we all left full and satisfied we ordered 3 chef burgers 1 Philly steak 2 kids chicken strips and fried cauliflower with sweet sauce and everything was spot on. Totally worth coming

Yelp
Somehow I wrote, but didn't post, my review of this place. So... First, I composed this a year or so ago pre-Covid, so their hours and choices might be different. But anyway, short version: It's out of the way and hard to find, but it's good and solid kosher food - both basics ranging from beefburgers and on up to lots of other choices. Very good quality. It takes a bit of time to get the order but that's because they're making it fresh. So wait the extra five minutes...

Yelp
I was in Conshohocken for the first time, on a business trip to Pennsylvania, and found this nearby kosher restaurant via Yelp. The food was delicious. I ordered hummus falafel with Pita and the beef kabob entree. The Pita was fluffy and the hummus was smooth and creamy. I added some shug (hot pepper sauce), to give it a kick. Best Pita I had. They said they import it from Israel. The falafel balls were tasty and well seasoned. I liked how they serve the hummus in a bowl, like they do in a "hummusia" (hummus eatery) in the Middle East. The beef kabob was served on a bed of white rice. It was spicy and tender. I couldn't finish everything, so I took the rest back to my hotel. I enjoyed the meal so much that I decided to come back the next night for dinner. This time, I ordered hummus tehina and chicken stir fry with veggies. It was equally good as the prior night. I plan to visit again, the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Hi stop right there. Yeah you! You're scrolling through yelp to find a place to have a kosher lunch/dinner. Let me tell you that this is the place. Although it's not the biggest in space you can easily tell that a lot of love was put in this place. FIRST- best chicken nuggets I've ever had( and I've had quite plenty in my 20 years). All the food is fresh and delicious. My family and I were very happy.

Artcnet ..

Yelp
Professional, tasty, and a treat for a party that I catered from Nadav. They helped to make my celebration a day I will remember. Thank you, Nadav!

Yossi M.

Yelp
Wow! Very tasty, everything fresh. Highly recommend, definitely I will come back soon.

Yelp
I went here for lunch with my sister and mother. It was a very nice, and the food was pretty good. I had the schwarma pita which the meat was not overly fatty. I also had edamame and sweet potato fries (which were not fries, they were slices of sweet potato cooked). Over all, the place was good and I would recommend it. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the food was good but not amazing, and there weren't any breast pieces available by the sink after washing for hamotzie. I asked for bread for this reason and the response was that my food was coming, but the appetizers which did not have bread were at the table. Benchers and kippas were available by the sink.

Jon K.

Yelp
This was very well executed Israeli cuisine. A small space but you get great food for your dollar, and importantly, excellent customer service. Room for upside would be laffa instead of a wrap (for shawarma) and a better selection of options to go in my shwarma. Thank you for the excellent meal.

Jill L.

Yelp
Delicious food and the servings are enormous! Great quality of food for a reasonable price. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
For a place with such an inferior decor and ambience we were pleasantly surprised to find that the food was DELICIOUS! My husband and I ordered pargiot platters. The meat was cooked to perfection, the grilled vegetables were perfect, the chumus was yummy and the pita, when they warmed it was soft and fluffy. The service was also excellent. If this restaurant would get a facelift it would be 5 star!!!
google avatar

Asher S.

Yelp
Gotta try this place! The staff is really nice. The food is very tasty. It's location is great. They have parking in the back. Try the Pargyot!

George D.

Yelp
As mentioned by others, the service is very friendly and attentive. As an example, here for lunch with some of our kids and they brought extra napkins without us having to ask. We tried hot dogs, schwarma, fries and wings. All of the food we ordered was very good. The wings were an add on and a particularly big hit. I agree with others who liked the schwarma. I may get more adventurous next time but for my first visit stuck with the food rated well by other Yelpers. Thank you! It is a Kosher fast food place with sit down seating and waitstaff. Parking is behind the restaurant and convenient.

Liron H.

Yelp
I got the lamb burger and it was really good , nice ppl , small place but looks pretty clean , generally Iam happy I came

Gail T.

Yelp
We were happy to find this casual kosher restaurant on the Main Line. The setting is relaxed, the service friendly and quick, and the food great. We haven't sampled a lot of the menu because our favorites are so good, but I'm looking to get a bit more adventurous. The hummus with mushrooms is absolutely great. Vegetable soup was excellent once, a bit less so another time, but I think that's the way it is with soup when they are probably using what's in the kitchen. The only problem I've had with this place is that it seems you cannot call them. It seems the listed number is for a mobile phone, whose voicemail is never checked or erased so the mailbox is full. If they could fix that, it would help the convenience. But still, a really good restaurant.

Debby F.

Yelp
I put in a take out order for hummus with meat ( along with some other dishes for my family). Mine arrived and in place of my meat were greasy, hard falafel balls. I didn't call and complain because when I placed the order, the person on the phone sounded rushed and harried. On a positive note, the hummus was ok--certainly not the best I've ever eaten. Won't be ordering from Star of David anytime soon...

Justin D.

Yelp
Great food and well Priced !!!!! The hummus with mushrooms and onions was incredible and the baby chicken and Szechuan beef outstanding. Service was fast and very pleasant. Will definitely stop by again when I am in Philadelphia.

Yaakov G.

Yelp
The food was great and affordable. We were looking for a kosher restaurant in town and found Star of David. Everything we ordered was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. My favorite was the shwarma it's really delicious. My kids ordered from the kids menu and devoured their portions, which is not bad for picky eaters.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
The quality of meat here is higher than any place I've tried in birth Philadelphia and along the main line. Fresh, tender, perfectly prepared. And the way the staff is so knowledgeable on the menu was very impressive. I love when a server can give recommendations and know how things are prepared and what goes well together. This plus with their friendly and speedy service left me highly impressed. The salmon is a must order! Perfectly cooked with true flavor, not fishy. Will be back, a lot!

Avraham R.

Yelp
My wife and I really really enjoyed their food and friendly service. Creamy delicious chumus and techina, perfect pita bread, juicy, nicely spiced schwarma platter with Israeli salad and tasty roasted veggies, a delicious steak wrap. Try it- you'll love it! Best Glatt Hechsher in Philly area too.
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
Great food and service is usually very good. Only drawback is the space is small so. Eat to go on off hours. Love the hummus, schwarma and salmon. I've also had the steak multiple times and it is delicious.
google avatar

Shmuel H.

Yelp
Wow. This is a really great restaurant. If you want grilled is Israeli specialties this is the way to go. This is from now on our favorite. It used to be that Citron-and-Rose used to be our favorite restaurant. But no more. Star Of David is the way to go and please don't go down in quality like so many other restaurants. I beg you. By the way did I mention the fantastic service?
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
Love this place and wish it was bigger. Favorites are the hummus appetizers, the steak, salmon and shwarma. Have been here multiple times and always delicious. Only issue is they need more space for when they get crowded.
google avatar

Emanuel K.

Yelp
Try the pargiot! Great kosher Mediterranean food. Good falafel, couscous, fresh salads, right on Montgomery ave. very excited to have another kosher place to eat.

Ira S.

Yelp
TERRIBLE Service - Waited over an hour for 4 items (party of 3) on the menu. Went to the waitress 3 times complaining about the wait. After complaining to the Chef - who had lost the order - they made the order in 5 minutes There were other items: 1) Mishandled two customer orders while we were there 2) Gave a customer's order to another diner 3) Didn't properly bill a customer for items The restaurant needs to go a long way to get us back as a customer

Sara S.

Yelp
Food was delicious. It's a bit expensive, but typical price range for Kosher food. Classic Israeli fare, service was great, staff was very pleasant. Seating area is a bit narrow, but comfortable, and they are very receptive to families with children. The "children's meal" is full size. Place is incredibly clean. Will be back. Thank you.
google avatar

Marcy W.

Yelp
Just came home from a quick dinner at this new kosher meat eatery. A fantastic step up from the restaurant it replaced. Server was attentive and delightful. Order the buffalo wings, yummy and the shawarma pita and the baby chicken pita. Both came filled with Israeli salad and tahinah. The shawarma was the clear winner between the 2 sandwiches. Will definitely return soon. The menu also includes some Chinese selections and sushi.
google avatar

Shoshana G.

Yelp
A good fast food place. I have never sat down to eat, but have taken out a few times. It is a bit small, probably would be cramped if you wanted to have a larger group sit-down (e.g. more than 4ish people). The service is very fast and the employees are very nice. I have tried much of the "Israeli style" food, including the schnitzel, pargiot and shawarma sandwiches - all are very good. I have not tried the chinese, but have had a few of the sushi rolls, and thought they were pretty good too.

B E.

Yelp
The hummus with mushrooms and onions is out of this world. The pita is great, too. One of our favorite take-out options in the area.

The R.

Yelp
Decided to get take out tonight and ordered a burger and fries. I asked for it to be well done. I stressed it 3 times and said "its really important." At the check out I confirmed that the burger was well done and was assured so. It wasn't even close. When I got home I found that I had bought a RARE burger with under done fries. I couldn't even eat the burger. How hard is it to cook a well done burger and some fries?

A I.

Yelp
The food is decent, but the customer service and wait times are pretty bad. My office is kosher and has ordered from them a few times, and they are always late, and sort of rude about it. Whether picking up or delivering through UberEats, they are slow and unapologetic about being slow.

Jon S.

Yelp
Very happy to have this place in the neighborhood. The burgers are good. The hummus can be very good if you catch it at the right moment. Good pita bread. The schnitzel is excellent.

charles f.

Yelp
The food is average. But the service is so HORRENDOUS, on more than one occasion and months apart, that it not only affects the whole meal but literally the rest of the evening.

Fanny F.

Yelp
This place was really amazing! We came with 3 small children. We were greeted right away and escorted to a table by a smiling waitress. She was patient while we decided what to order. Our food came very quickly even though the restaurant was full of people. Food was out of this world (we had the schwarma wrap and the philly steak wrap. the fries were so fresh and spiced perfectly! This place was child-friendly and had the best customer service!! Will def come here again when i visit Philly!

Nancy H.

Yelp
Delicious well flavored hamburgers cooked to perfection. They also have middle eastern, some Chinese offerings, and sushi. Everything is well made. I wish they would have homemade mint tea and a more extensive salad selection.

Jaclyn R.

Yelp
The pitas are delicious and they give you a good amount of meat inside to make it a whole meal in itself. I've only tried the beef kabob and schnitzel so far, but I plan on working my way through the menu. With so many options, and very reasonable prices (even compared to a non-kosher place!) you'll be hard-pressed not to find something for everyone! Come support this place!
