TSA Reverses Ban on Disney’s ‘Thermal Detonator’ Star Wars Sodas | Eater

"The newly opened Star Wars-themed section sold Coca-Cola and Sprite in souvenir bottles modeled after the franchise’s “thermal detonator.” The TSA initially barred the spherical bottles from both checked and carry-on baggage because they resembled explosives, sparking wide public ridicule. On August 28 the agency reversed course, instructing officers to treat the items as oversized liquids: because they contain more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) they must be placed in checked baggage or emptied before being carried on, although officers retain discretion to prohibit anything they deem a security threat. The controversy highlighted perceived inconsistencies in TSA policy and how quickly a major entertainment brand’s prominence can influence enforcement decisions." - Jenny G. Zhang

Incredible experience—truly feels like another world! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is hands down the best part of Disneyland! Even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, this area is a must-visit. It’s incredibly well-designed, with every detail making you feel like you’ve stepped into another world and time. I’ve visited many theme parks, but this one is so unique. From the immersive environments to the themed shops and attractions, it’s an experience like no other. Don’t miss it, even if you’re just a casual Star Wars fan—it’s worth every moment!

Google
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland is an absolutely awesome experience! From the moment you step into this themed land, you’re immediately transported into the Star Wars universe. The level of detail in the environment is insane, from the rustic buildings to the towering spires of Batuu—everything feels so real. It’s like stepping onto a set of the movies, and you almost forget you’re still in Disneyland. The attractions are next-level, especially Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. It’s so much fun being a part of the crew aboard the Falcon. I was the pilot on my ride, and the thrill of flying through space with my friends was unlike anything else. The ride is so interactive, and the outcome depends on how well you work together, which makes it even more exciting. Then there’s Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance—hands down, one of the most immersive rides I’ve ever been on. The combination of trackless technology, live-action characters, and incredible special effects makes it feel like you’re in an actual battle between the First Order and the Resistance. The storytelling and innovation are next-level. The food and drinks are just as amazing as the rides. I loved Oga’s Cantina, where I had a couple of the signature drinks that are served in a cool, Star Wars-style way. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo also offered some out-of-this-world dishes. The whole vibe of the land—whether you’re grabbing a bite or shopping for Star Wars gear—adds to the immersive experience. And the lightsaber and droid building experiences are totally worth the time if you’re a fan of the franchise. On top of all that, the characters roaming the land, like Chewbacca and the Stormtroopers, add so much to the atmosphere. It’s not just a meet-and-greet; it’s like you’re living in the Star Wars world. I had an encounter with Chewbacca, and it felt completely authentic and fun. Overall, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a must-see. Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, the level of detail, the immersive experience, and the sheer excitement make it an awesome addition to Disneyland. I can’t wait to go back and experience it all again!

Google
Walking into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is like stepping into a galaxy far, far away. The level of detail, immersion, and storytelling Disney has created here is simply next-level. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the Star Wars universe, Galaxy’s Edge is absolutely stunning. Set on the planet Batuu, everything feels authentic and alive—from the bustling Black Spire Outpost to the full-size Millennium Falcon. You won’t see Mickey ears or cast members in modern clothes here—everyone and everything stays true to the story. Even the Coca-Cola bottles look like Star Wars artifacts! Rise of the Resistance is the crown jewel of the land (see my full review!), but Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is also a blast. Getting to fly the Falcon, push buttons, pull levers, and go into hyperspace—it’s a childhood dream come true. The food and drinks are creative and fun. Docking Bay 7 has solid themed meals, and Oga’s Cantina is a must-visit. The atmosphere is vibrant and otherworldly, with fun drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), droid DJs, and cantina-style seating. Don’t miss building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop or a custom droid at the Droid Depot—pricey, but worth it for fans. The cast members stay in character and really make the land feel like an active part of the Star Wars story. From immersive storytelling to thrilling rides, Galaxy’s Edge is Disney Imagineering at its finest. An absolute must for any Disney or Star Wars fan.

Google
Disney has outdone itself, and this looks like you stepped into the different worlds of the Star Wars franchise. This is so worth it to go to if you’re in California one of my best places to celebrate Star Wars day. Here is a tractor is plenty of character pop-ups; Kylo ren, Ray, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Ashoka.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is absolutely incredible! The entire land is so immersive that it truly feels like you’ve been transported to another world. Whether you’re a lifelong Star Wars fan or not, you’ll definitely appreciate the level of detail, creativity, and realism that went into making this place. It doesn’t even feel like you’re in Disneyland—it feels like you’ve stepped straight into the Star Wars universe. From the food to the rides to just strolling through the shops, every detail is on point. Even the characters stay in character, making interactions so much fun and getting you excited to be a part of the story. This is hands down one of the most unique and immersive experiences at Disneyland. A must-visit for everyone!

Google
You will feel like you are in another galaxy! I am not really a Star Wars fan, but when I came to this part of Disneyland, I was really amazed. Don't skip if you are just the old school Disney fan, it's worth it and you can catch the single rider lane.

Google
This experience must be enjoyed in person. The level of detail and overwhelming amount of super cool Star Wars vibes you get here transports you to a different reality. Worth every penny!

Google
The cantina definitely knew my name before the weekend was over. Met my dad... chewbacca 😂 the rides were incredible. Built a double saber ($500) you had to assemble two. They are about $250 each. Also built an R2 unit droid at the workshop, which was super fun. Definitely love this place.

Yelp
As a star wars fan, I was overwhelmingly surprised by the home run Disney made with the design of this "land" in Disneyland - Galaxy's Edge. It is 100% immersive with idyllic aesthetics and background sounds that take you away to a galaxy far, far away. The rides, the shops, the characters, and the food, are simply amazing. I just couldn't have imagined a better experience. And the cherry on top... as I was standing on a patio overlooking the plaza leaning against a railing where the Millennium Falcon is located, I felt an arm rap around me. As I looked to my right, I immediately saw an arm covered in long brown hair. I swung my head to the left, and there was Chewbacca himself, standing there with his arm around me! We chatted for a few moments (I didn't understand a word he said) and then he went on his way. I was 10 years old again. GO HERE!

Yelp
Like millions of others, I am a lifelong fan of Star wars. Been wanting to visit this wing of Disneyland ever since they announced the plans and showed some early concepts, etc. Disney did such a great job with the aesthetic and feel of the area. Lots of attention to detail with the structures and lots of great photo ops, mini shows, rides, and places to grab a drink and/or a bite. It also contains what I would consider my favorite ride - The Rise of the Resistance. It also has, in my opinion, the best area to view the nightly fireworks as well. It's really cool that they worked the fireworks into an interactive activity in the area near the Millennium Falcon for the little ones. Of my last handful of trips to this park, I would say going to this area is what makes me the most excited during my overall visit.
google avatar

Liz J.

Yelp
I'm not even a Star Wars fan and I can appreciate how cool this place is. The attention to detail is amazing and it's such a fun, interactive part of the park to walk around. There are lots of great photo ops too. The rides are spread around the area which makes it a good place to spend a bit of time. We got lucky with very short standby lines this week!

Yelp
I will never get tired of this place! Although I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, this place has some amazing scenery, aesthetics, food and drinks! Shame that they constantly switch and discontinue food and drinks but we've always had a successful run whenever something new pops up. Really miss the chamoy/tajin green milk and these samoas they had a while back. Hoping it'll pop up again in the future! I was really happy that my dad got to visit after not seeing him in 9 years and he hasn't been to Disneyland since I was a kid. This was both a treat and a blessing for the family along with my cousins from the Philippines and UK to also visit for their first time. Their mom from the Philippines also got to come and it was great all around. IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
This is my second time checking out Galaxy's Edge and it was nothing short of amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of Star Wars but it is so impressive how this looks so real. The rides are innovative and a lot of fun. Also, the food in the area is so different than other areas of the park. I had the cold brew and was obsessed!
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
Star Wars Land is one of the best additions to Disneyland. The entire area is amazing to look at, and I'm not even that big of a fan (I've only seen one of the films!). All the staff in this area have great costumes/work attire and they stay in character which makes it seem like you're in one of the Star Wars movies. The food and drinks are so creative here, with the cocoa puff cold brew as one of my ultimate favorites of the entire park. I haven't been inside the bar yet since it's always packed, but it's definitely next on my list.
google avatar

Mylesha D.

Yelp
I am almost as passionate about Star Wars as I am about Harry Potter, which is why I was captivated by this park experience. When I first came to this park, I felt like I was walking in a real Star Wars universe, immersed in the sights and sounds of the galaxy. I loved exploring the different food, drinks, and rides, all of which enhanced the experience. My favorite attraction was definitely Rise of the Resistance; nothing at Disneyland compares to it. The attention to detail and excitement in that ride is extraordinary, making it a memorable highlight of my visit each time.
google avatar

Angel R.

Yelp
Finally made it here for the fireworks show and it did NOT disappoint. Seeing Disney fireworks is always magical, but seeing the show with all the Star Wars music was magnificent! As a fan I knew which movies the songs were from and it was just so great! Also seeing everyone light their lightsabers up towards the sky was a fantastic sight to see.

Yelp
This section of the park truly makes you feel like you are transported to another world. Especially when you transition from one area of the park to another. But what they did here to make you feel like you really are on a planet in the Star Wars universe is absolutely amazing. You feel like you could hob knob with a wookie and feel right at home. They took as much from the Star Wars universe and put it all in here. Ships, cantinas, every thing under those stars. I was your true tourist here. Looking up instead of being aware of my surroundings, probably that person you were annoyed with while walking through the area. Keep your eyes peeled here, you may have a run in with one of the many characters. I totally had one with my favorite of Star Wars. R2D2 himself was rolling through here. At first, he wasn't going to stop, he was on his way to somewhere more important. His escorts were trying to keep him on track and get him to where he was going. However, when he saw my friend, he stopped. It might have been because she had blue hair and really wanted to check it out. It was really cute to see. I'm not sure how they do this, but the escorts "translates" what he may be saying to you. Before rolling on, he noticed I was wearing my Pittsburgh Pirates hat and had to know if I was a pirate myself. I denied that accusation, didn't want to spend any time in a jail cell in another galaxy.

Yelp
The newest "land" at the Disneyland Resort. Home to two amazing attractions, lively cantina, great quick service dining, shops, and so much more. This is an area in the parks that can be enjoyed by both Star Wars fans and those who haven't seen the films. My mom isn't a huge fan, but enjoys feeling like she is in an entirely different galaxy and enjoys the food/beverages. On your next trip, try watching the fireworks in a new location - Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It's an out of this world experience, and Disney even plans to add more interaction as many are catching on to how beautiful the fireworks are here. May the force be with you on your next journey to the Disneyland Resort!

Yelp
This just may be the easiest 5 star review I've ever written in my life! lol I absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge inside Disneyland Park! (+) The attention to detail is incredible! Seriously. The entire space is immensely immersive and was so much fun to walk around and take in! We were fortunate enough to open the park on the day that we went there and beelined it straight to this area of the park. For the first 3-4 hours it was a slice of heaven! We were able to enjoy the rides in the area multiple times and it never felt overrun until later in the afternoon. (+) The Rise of the Rebellion has to be the greatest ride experience I've ever had at any amusement park I've ever been to in my life! (I am old, so that counts for something :P). The Millenium Falcon simulator ride was a lot of fun as well. You have to enjoy both of these experiences' multiple times! (+) Fun souvenir shops and food options all along the way. I bought this cool little Darth Vader bust for $20 in a shop that had a large Wampa overhead! (+) I grew up on the Original Trilogy and this definitely awakened the kid in me! It was such a fun and memorable experience to be here. This was, by far, the most fun I've ever had at any Disney Park I've ever been to in my life! I can't wait to go back! 5 stars.

Yelp
First time checking out the land beyond, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! Way in the back corner there are three ways to get there. Through Critter Country toward the far left, through Frontierland down the middle, or through Fantasyland on the right. Either way, felt like forever to walk all the way out there... making its name very fitting! I was seeking out this area specifically to check out the newest addition to Disneyland, the themed rides and foods/drinks. Almost everyone raved about the black caf cold brew drink so that was the first thing I sprinted to. It really is as good as everyone says. Get it for sure! As far as the wait time for the food/drink it wasn't long, 5-10m at most. Took almost no time for my family and I to inhale. Lots of seating available inside with shade. We decided to book our first lightning lane for the ride here. Maybe 15 minute wait if even that. Definitely recommend using the LL if you have it here. Worth it. Every single detail everywhere we looked was just spot on! It completely felt like we were in the Star Wars movie. Since I believe there is just two restaurants, a cafe/bar, and two rides, we didn't spend lots of time hanging around. The goal is always 80% rides & 20% food/drinks or something like that lol. I really wished there was enough stomach space & calories in one day to have tried the colored/flavored milks they have... but that'll have to wait for the next visit back. Definitely will be back and totally recommend for everyone!
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
Star Wars fans will absolutely love this land. The attention to detail is spot on! And if you're lucky, you'll catch some Storm Troopers on patrol and they will interact with you! Several gift shops are scattered throughout as well as some restaurants. The Millennium Falcon is an awesome sight to see as well! That ride is fun, but if you aren't a gamer, you may not be very successful steering the ship. The absolute best ride at Disneyland is Rise of the Resistance. This could be one of my all-time favorite rides anywhere, ever. It's multi-faceted and action packed! Don't miss it! They offer a purchase for lightning lane passes for $26/person so if you don't have time to wait in the line, I feel like it's worth it to spend the money to get on this ride at least once during your day.
google avatar

Toshi I.

Yelp
Star Wars fans would love this! It's like being transported to another world and it's absolutely a fun memorable experience. It's been a decade since I was last here and perfect bonding time for me and my teenaged son. Will be one of my first stops at me next visit.

Yelp
Galaxy's Edge at Disney Hollywood is a master class in all things theming - the food, the attractions and hidden gems - everything. When you first enter the Galaxy's Edge land, you see the Star Wars theming everywhere, like you are in a distant land's desert bazaar. The cast members are very much in character - so much so that we asked directions and they acted like they didn't understand our Earth language! LOL We have visited a few times and had different experiences each time (because there is so much to do!) On one visit, we created a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop, rode the Smuggler's Run Millennium Falcon ride, and ate at Docking Bay 7. On another visit, we experienced Rise of the Resistance, met Chewbacca, and had blue milk and cookies at Oga's Cantina. If you are a huge Star Wars fan, you can spend a ton of time here, looking for all the little details. And even if you're just a casual fan, I think you will still enjoy it for the food, rides, and fun experiences!
google avatar

Berta B.

Yelp
This place is awesome! My family and I are Star Wars fans, especially my son. It's awesome how everything was created to make you feel like you're in one of the movies or shows. I haven't had the change to eat or drink anything there, so I'm can't provide any information about that. The rides there are so cool! They do get pretty busy, so expect long lines especially for Rise of the Resistance ride. My family didn't mind waiting so we waited for an hour in line to go in. I would say that the line moves quickly and the ride is worth the wait! All the people and characters working there play their roles so well that they really make you feel like you are part of the resistance. The cast member walking around as Kylo Ren startled me lol I was taking a picture of my son and didn't see him behind me. He started asking me if I was part of the resistance, it was pretty awesome! Such a fun place! Don't miss it next time you're at Disneyland!

Yelp
While Star Wars has always been a world all its own, Star Wars has its own land is a galaxy that isn't so far away. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge allows fans to immerse themselves in the world of Star Wars. Everything in Galaxy's Edge was meticulously thought out. Buildings, signs, and even floors are made to look as if guests have been transported to an outpost in the Star Wars galaxy. Two attractions may be found in Galaxy's Edge. Those rides are Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler's Run. These rides are redefining attractions. These attractions are more impressive, more exciting, and more imaginative than rides have ever been. Galaxy's Edge is pushing the attraction envelope. Boba Fett and R2D2 were both roaming around during our visit. Boba Fett had a whole conversation with one of my children. Character interactions were more organic here than in other lands. It's more like actually bumping into someone on the street. Several eateries and snack carts are located in the land. There is a mix of foods inspired by Star Wars, and food commonly found on our planet. Trading posts/shops have all kinds of Star Wars merchandise. The selection is far greater than Star Trader in Tomorrowland. In Galaxy's Edge, visitors may make and purchase their own Droids and Lightsabers. There is also lots of clothing, decor, toy, and collectible items.

Yelp
We went to galaxy's edge last January 2023 as well last and returned this year same weekend 2024. . Smugglers run stinks, but Rise of Resistance is fantastic. We also did the light sabers this time, both my adult son and daughter loved the experience together and we all got to watch. There are only 2 rides but the landscape decor is well done.
google avatar

Ben Y.

Yelp
This is a very well themed "land" in the park. I would say it's almost as good in terms of theming as Hogsmead at Universal. Definitely a cool spot for Star Wars fans and a decent "walk through" area for non fans. The two rides they have here are actually really good and different than most other rides around.
google avatar

Claudia C.

Yelp
rise of resistance, what an amazing ride! I am usually someone who gets motionsickness and vertigo, I'm not good with loud noises sometimes, however I did ride this ride and loved it! I did not know what to expect but I would get on it again! Also did anyone say blue milk?
google avatar

Arlene M.

Yelp
This is a very immersive section of Disneyland park. My husband and I were time limited going through the village but we caught enough of it to realize we were in a galaxy far, far, away. Star Wars Galaxy's edge boasts only two attractions: The rise of the resistence and Smuggler's Run-(both reviewed separately). We did caught a glimpse of some of the stores, Olga's cantina, the interactive robit pumping a drink and saw cast members dressed in costumes. As we walked around we saw other robots and vehicles that made you feel you were on a different planet. The most photographed area is in front of Smuggler's run where you can get a good shot of the front the Millenium Falcon. Photo pass photographers are on hand there too. Make sure to ask for a magic shot. We ended up having one with BB 8 in it! The Hollywood studios counterpart: Star Wars galaxy's edge was built after this one. It is just as immersive and offers both these and Star Tours which you would find in Tomorrowland. They also have the VISA cardmember photo op which includes Darth Vader which in this park is located in Tomorrowland as well. However I find Galaxy's edge much easier here at Disneyland since you don't have to pay a separate theme park admission for a different park and still get the best of both worlds.
google avatar

Jack R.

Yelp
Just extraordinary, and a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I was expecting a land equivalent to say, Toon Town, but this is much more immersive and seems bigger. They really did a good job on this one. It had really fun features like a Porg carving and a R2D2 like grill. The stalls and market really make you feel like a Jedi and the shows which have walking Stormtroopers add to the land. The Mandalorian also walks this land and tells you tlnpt to harass Grogu. The food is weird, and you'll most likely need reservations for the Cantina, but it's worth it. The Rise of The Resistance ride has become one of my favorite rides at Disneyland now. They did a fantastic job in immersing you in their environment!

Yelp
came here just to try the famous coco puff cold brew and omg it was the best thing ever!!! 10/10 will be coming back to disney again for this. my boyfriend got the moof juice and it was so refreshing after being in the heat all day. we definitely enjoyed ourselves roaming around here :)

Yelp
Freaking awesome looks huge. In my opinion.. Live Your Star Wars Adventure in a Galaxy Far, Far Away!!!!
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
This is just like the one in Florida! I'm sure there are differences but I don't know enough to identify them. We loved walking around here. It's huge with lots of stuff to look at. They have some fun rides and a variety of food options. We weren't impressed with the cantina so I'll skip that in the future. They also had a good viewing area for the nightly fireworks so we had fun ending our evening there.

Yelp
THAT COLD BREW !! I would go JUST for the cold brew. It was sooo good. It really is the best combination, not to sweet or sour tasting.

Yelp
14 acres of rides, stores and Star-Wars themed dining options, it's a little overwhelming. I'm glad we didn't come in 2019 when Galaxy's Edge first opened because it sounded impossible to get tickets for any of the rides. Not even if you were staying at an expensive DisneyLand hotel, you had the same access as everyone else: Get in line early (people were arriving at 6am), enter the park at the 8am opening (with your ticket scanned in) then log onto the site and try to grab a fast pass. By 8:03 all fast passes were gone for the day and night, sorreeee! Luckily they fixed this and while standby lines are long you can reserve lightening lane passes through your phone anytime you're in the park - though you might be returning to the back of the park at least once to get on the other rides. By day three, my back, feet and calves were screaming from twice or thrice daily jaunts to Galaxy's Edge; we easily walked 10+ miles each day. For the Star Wars fanatic, it's a must see. My son was so happy to get on the rides multiple times and he bought some cool Star Wars gear at the kiosks in one of the courtyards.
google avatar

Rachael M.

Yelp
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is my favorite place to frequent at Disneyland Park; you feel like you've entered another world, and there's so much to do, and see: From the Rise of the Resistance, the Millennium Falcon, Kylo Ren and stormtroopers casually walking about and telling crowd -goers to get out of the way, the droid and light saber building (reservation-only), spaceship replicas, and galactic provisions at food kiosks and Oga's Cantina (make a reservation or get yourself on the walk-up list) - heck even the bathrooms are a must-see - and totally on-theme! Pro tip: Galaxy's Edge has the best view of the fireworks (pictured), especially if you don't care for braving the crowds and attempting a spot to watch the parade!
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
This is a themed area inspired by the Star Wars franchise, located in Disneyland Park in Anaheim, which encompasses 14 acres. The themed area is set in the village of Black Spire Outpost, on the remote frontier planet of Batuu, featuring attractions, gifts shops, restaurants and entertaining rides. It's so exciting to get into the theme for two rides of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and I will definitely recommend these rides, totally worth the waiting time.
google avatar

Peter N.

Yelp
I wish it was bigger!! But make sure You check out every square inch! The first time I walked through, I totally missed the replica ships on the side!! I definitely saw the TIE fighter (near the Fantasyland entrance). Make sure that You also look at the roofs every once in a while. During one of the shows, one of the characters was on the roof and not everyone noticed!

Of all the lands in Disneyland, this one is by far the most elaborate. You feel like you are in a Star Wars movie. We usually rope drop straight to Rise of the Resistance and avoid paying the individual Lightning Lane price of $25 per person. The Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run has single rider line and we usually end up on the same ship. If you want to go to Oga's Cantina, you'll have to join the virtual que and then they will text when to join the walk up line. We often see Kylo Ren, Storm Troopers, and Mandolorian here.

Yelp
Star War's fan here and got overehelmed on my first visit. Disney really did a great job on this one. My son is a fan as well and we had a great time.. time is still short since we weren't able to stay here late since it was a short day for the park due to star wars nite. We'll definitely be back and probably dress up for star wars nite. Goosebumps on Savi's workshop. Great experience to get your own lightsaber.

Yelp
A truly wonderful land to get lost in. I've been here many times since it opened. I always find something new, and interesting. The cast members are my favorite part of the land. I am a fan of pretty much anything in Disneyland, and by far this is the most immersive land. I look forward to any expansion that comes to the land.

Yelp
One of the standout dining options in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is Oga's Cantina. This popular spot offers a range of specialty cocktails and mocktails, as well as small plates that are perfect for sharing. The "Blue Bantha" is a must-try drink, with a creamy blend of blue milk, rum, and fruity flavors. The "Batuu Bits" are also a delicious and shareable snack, with a mix of spiced crisps, crackers, and wasabi peas. For a heartier meal, I highly recommend Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The "Fried Endorian Tip-Yip" is a standout dish, with crispy chicken served with herb gravy and mashed potatoes. The "Braised Shaak Roast" is another excellent option, with tender beef pot roast served with a mix of vegetables and noodles. One of the highlights of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is the "Ronto Roasters" food stall. The "Ronto Wrap" is a popular dish, with grilled pork sausage and roasted pork wrapped in a warm pita and topped with a tangy slaw. The dish is full of flavor, and the pita bread is soft and chewy, making for a perfect texture contrast.

Yelp
This is my inner five year old's self's dream come true! If this had existed when I was a child, it would have been my utter fantasy land. While we came here three years later than planned due to the pandemic and cancellations, I had actually planned on giving this land a bit of time for other tourists to come before us so it would be a little less crowded. I do not like to visit places when it first opens. Well, my plan worked perfectly, and it was not overwhelmingly crowded when we finally arrived after all of these years waiting. We did arrive basically at "rope-drop", perhaps a little after since we technically got breakfast around the time the park opened and then needed to find our way over here, this is our first trip to Disneyland ever. But still, there were not too many people and the ride lines were not too long. On walking in we were greeted by Chewy, just a nice way to start the magic. I am glad we got on the Rise of the resistance first. That was the bucket list attraction and it did break down further into the day, so mission accomplished on one of the best rides in the park. Then we walked around the market place and saw the Millennium Falcon, my inner child geeked out at that moment! We went on the Millennium Falcon ride, which was not as good as the first but still a most worthy experience for any fan and a must do activity to complete the Star Wars goals. I loved all of the fun souvenirs. I did not buy anything in the park since Downtown Disney has a marvelous gift shop and I do not like walking around with souvenir bags. Plus, for some reason, they hotels are not set up to get packages sent there like Universal Orlando, where you can get the purchases sent to you that night. My other mission was to try their iconic nibble and beverages. We got the delicious chocolate popcorn and crackers, plus their blue milk. There was a lot of other food and drinks we did not get to this trip, plus Oga's bar which was full. If you want to go there you must reserve it, but I just wanted to visit first and see this land before I booked more in depth experiences. I will probably visit the Florida location next to see how that compares. For me, this was a must do activity that truly made me understand why this is the happiest place on earth! This universe is one my happy spots.

Yelp
My husband is OBSESSED with Star Wars so I couldn't wait to take him here - and he FREAKED OUT (in the good way) and had a blast. Honestly the whole area is just super well done - captures the vibes of the cinematic universe very well and is really beautiful at night. We especially loved walking through Galaxy's edge at night because all the kids who splurged on buying light sabers have them on, and they look super cool being held at night. Also shout out to the very funny actors that portray Kylo Ren and stormtroopers outside his ship - they do a really good job interacting with the crowd despite all the crazy things kids say to them (lol things like "DIE KYLO REN!" "ur evil!!" hahahha) Honestly worth the visit during the day and walk through slowly - tons of fun easter egg to recognize if you're a star wars fan.

Yelp
I will preface this review with the fact that I am not the hugest Star Wars fan. I've watched the original movies, but have not touched any of the newer ones or the episodic series. Regardless of this fact, I am still amazed by Galaxy's Edge. It truly DOES NOT feel like a part of the park and you feel like you've been transported to an entirely different planet. The immersion is insane. I've seen some cast members speak to one another in a made up language of the planet and the characters just wander through this area, acting like themselves and not just there to take photos. The marketplace area has to be one of my favorites. So many small details and so much to look at. Even if you aren't a Star Wars fan, you have to check it out !

Yelp
Disney has done it again. Yet another incredibly immersive world for you to lose yourself in. Although they created this new world for star wars, it feels like it's part of the original franchise. The blue and green milks were so light and refreshing, and perfectly complimented the warm southern california weather.

Yelp
We have not been to Disneyland since Covid and my husband really wanted to go to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Upon arriving, we entered basically whatever planet the Star Wars with Rae was on. You enter and is greeted by a ship. Sorry, I'm not a Star Wars geek so I think it's the Silencer. Kylo Ren's ship. It was okay and Kylo Ren's character does come out to greet you. Then, you walk a little further and finally get to the millennium falcon. We stopped and took pictures. It was 80 something degrees and the sun was glaring in our faces. Galaxy's edge needs more shade. Afterwards, we went to wait in line for Rise of the Resistance ride. My husband kept saying it's unlike anything he's ever seen. I liked it, but it felt like more of a show than a ride. Cool for the kids and Star Wars fans. The animatronics were cool and walking into the rooms with the storm Troopers were cool. I did get annoyed when the cast member told us to stand on blue and my group took up all the room on the blue line so I asked where I was supposed to stand and a cadt member told me, blue how hard was that. It was hard because I didn't have room Miss! After waiting in line for over an hour, I just wanted to get on the ride. A lot of people including my husband loved the experience, but I am impatient and wanted to get on the ride. Now, on to smugglers run, it's similar to Star Tours and I HATED being the gunner, I want to be the pilot next time. I just wanted to enjoy the ride and not have to stress out about pressing a stupid button, but I really liked the ride. Then, afterwards, we went to eat and it was tough finding a place to sit in the shade. Pleadr For a Monday, it was packed. Due to my husband wanting to do Star Wars and getting a park hopper, I really didn't feel the magic of Disneyland. Next time, due to no more free fast passes, we will have to do only one park for one day and maybe spend that Xtra 40 for lightning lane.

Yelp
I gotta say this feels like you're walking into the Star Wars galaxy! Chewbacca just walked by, I'm not kidding! A life-sized Millennium falcon is here, I saw Rey last time I was here and we saw some storm troppers earlier! If you want to see Vader's ship, if you want to drink at the Catina bar, check out Star Wars, Galaxy's edge!!!

Yelp
Food and Ambiance: Love the variety of treats at Galaxy's edge! The theme of the entire area is super accurate to the films and it makes the food taste even better. - Coco Puff Cold Brew - Chocolate Popcorn

Yelp
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away........... and with those memorable words, the space saga phenomenon known as Star Wars took flight. Fans of every age group can now immerse themselves in the galaxy created by George Lucas at Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. NOTES: 1. My visit to SWGE was in March 2020, shortly before the closure of the Disneyland Parks. 2. Fast Pass option not available for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Guests' only option was to book/reserve a seat(s) in a "boarding group" via the Disneyland app on your smart phone. Please note that reservations on the app can only be made within the park itself/park property and not outside. You must be physically in the park using your phone. 9:00am is the start of magic hour (the first possible second you can make a res). If you're lucky enough to secure a boarding group, make sure to monitor the app/your phone for your "boarding" time. You will have two hours from when you receive notification to check in at the ride. Enjoy! 3. The wait for the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was not too lengthy at night. My friend and I waited for about 20 minutes in the stand by line. Totally worth the wait! Enjoy! The attention to detail at SWGE is incredible. The design, look, and environment is literally straight out of the series. The Disney Imagineers/staff creatively took components of the series and literally created a "land" at Disney that can be enjoyed by all. My friend and I walked around the entire Galaxy's Edge looking at the shops and just taking time to look thru the entire area, but I think my favorite aspect/parts, aside from the rides, was viewing the Millennium Falcon up close. It was so COOL!! And even more awesome that you were able to "walk thru" the ship when you checked in for the ride (Smuggler's Run). It was truly remarkable. No words can truly describe the Rise of the Resistance. You'll just have to experience it for yourself. Let me know what you think.... We didn't try any of the food places, but we did stop at the Milk Stand and tried the blue milk. It was interesting. I can't really pinpoint (even now as I sit writing this) the flavor or taste of the drink.....though it surprisingly wasn't bland. Lastly, it was exceptionally awesome to see Kylo Ren accompanied by some Storm Troopers walking around "searching" for members of the resistance. I also glimpsed Rey taking photos with other guests. BOTTOM LINE: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is truly an experience of galactic proportions. May the Force Be With You.

Yelp
Looks just like the movie. Such a cool area for StarWars fans. We went the week after Labor day. The Smugglers Run has 2 lines. One for single riders. The other for groups and younger riders. The new StarWars ride: Rise of the Resistance you are only allowed to go on once per visit and you can only get on by queuing up in the app. Sign on and go to que 4 minutes before 7am or right before 12 noon. Click on the ride and when it get 2 minute prior start refreshing until it allows you to que in. Follow thru all the way. Your app then will tell you your group number and time. Arrive 10 minutes early. If a rider in your group does not meet the height requirements dont worry as you can switch riders ones the others in your party are done. They will walk you through everything! It takes about 30 minutes once you walk past the line to ride through the adventure. It is simular to Indiana Jones, but not as smooth. You never know what direction you will be going and at the end there is a simulator event so close your eyes if it bothers you. Ask any cast member if you need help finding the que in the app plenty of time before 7am or noon. A nice gal working in Autotopia was happy to guide us. So much to see in this area. Super cool.

Yelp
Very pretty and futuristic area of Disneyland! My favorite part is that Disney brought in and maintains various colorful, shapely plants like the pincushion flower to emphasize that this area is alien.

Yelp
Don't hate me! Yes, I am 100% NOT messing with you.. Please, just let me explain. So I've only seen Star Wars Episodes I, II & III. I purposely skipped over Episode IV and - - -(I NEVER SAW A SINGLE STAR WARS FILM)- - - really didn't care to see any of the other Star Wars films. Anyone reading between the lines here??? If you are a true Star Wars fan, you know that there is No Episode I-III and that the first film was actually Star Wars: Episode IV ( Yes I had to look this up). Ok, now that we got that out of the way... ------------------------------------------------ So just because I've never seen any of the Star Wars films, Doesn't mean I don't know what the cult classic movies are all about. And yes I can confidently say that I would know who Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker were if I sat next to them in a bar. Luke is the handsome guy in all Black and Darth is the good guy that's looking for his father right?? ;) Just because I've never watched a single Star Wars movie doesn't mean I wasn't intrigued to check out what all the hype was about in the Galaxy's Edge. First Thoughts: HOLY $#!+balls!!!!!!!! This place is AWESOME!!!!! Not even joking, the Galaxy's Edge is Now my favorite place in the park. The Disney Imagineers did the movies so much justice and not even really being a fan, I was absolutely mind blown. I can only imagine what the True Star Wars fans did or will do when they first set their eyes on this Magical place. EVERY, and I mean EVERY single detail is flawless. You literally feel like you are on another planet and it's so freaking cool! My favorite was the marketplace; it had a very authentic feel that made me feel like I was in a different land far far away. The storm troopers standing guard and in perfect character really just sealed the deal. I unfortunately did not get a chance to go on the new ride or even eat at the various restaurants inside, but rest assured, I will be coming back very very soon. To the Die Hards that haven't yet set foot into Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Be prepared to soil yourself with excitement. Have your cameras in hand and be ready to let all those nostalgia juices flow because this place is a true Dream come true. I on the other hand am committing to watching Star Wars Episode IV so I can catch up to the rest of you. Until then, May the force be with you!!

Yelp
Disney really doesn't disappoint. Most of the photos show the millennium falcon. So assumed galaxy's edge was just the ride. Thankfully I was wrong. Spread out across this land was a shopping bazaar. Outside of this were some unique shops. A lightsaber store; droid store; general gift shop and lots of things to see. A must for any Star Wars fan.

Yelp
Galaxy's Edge sprawls over 14-acres and is the best thing to happen to the Star Wars franchise, because it brings Star Wars to life as a complete entertainment experience. Stepping into Galaxy's Edge, we were completely immersed into the Black Spire Outpost, a town on the remote planet of Batuu. Visitors explore the mystery & wonder of the town's spaceport, cantina, restaurants and open air marketplace. Not only are the textures, sights & sounds elaborately crafted to an otherworldly theme, but the Disney cast members are fully immersed in their roles. There is every attention to detail, including the buildings, landscaping, vehicles, and Aurebesh signs, all the way down to the packaging. Batuu even has its own currency; and not a single souvenir or merchandise in Batuu is branded with "Star Wars"! The two rides include: 1) Smuggler's Run, where visitors board & pilot the 100-foot long Millennium Falcon; and 2) Rise of the Resistance, hidden in the ancient ruins of the Resistance Forest. Über-geeks can also reserve add-on experiences at: 1) Droid Depot, to custom-build a BB-series or R2-series droid with its own personality chip; and 2) Savi's Workshop, to hand build a lightsaber with kyber crystal.

Yelp
As a SW nerd, of course I'm biased anything Star Wars. G's Edge is just so so awesome. The lines are forever long, so be prepared to wait in line. Me, no, I don't like waiting in lines...no bueno!! So yes, thank you, Disney for always thinking of me, and all the invites so I don't wait in line. If you are or not a SW fan, you just have to check is out. It is just so so cool. So yes come see this.

Yelp
This is the coolest area of the park, and I don't even like Star Wars personally. I mean, I may try watching the movies after visiting this park though. The two rides they have are awesome! They're very interactive and worth the wait with or without lightning lane. All of the drink places are so good too. Ps green milk is better than blue milk imo Make sure you make a reservation to ogas cantina. It's pretty busy, and their reservations are backed up pretty far but if you constantly check you can make the walk up list just check through the Disney app. All of the staff is super cool and friendly too. I felt comfortable talking with them and asking questions.
