Google
Super quick service, and everything came out perfectly. The restaurant was so clean and nice! Love the online ordering system, and that you can order just a single tender. That’s such a great idea. All the sauces are so good, my favorite it the truffle aioli!!

Sho Yoshimura

Google
Surprisingly good. Went for the Nashville style spicy chicken burger and it did not disappoint. Crispy and spicy on the outside with tender chicken on the inside. Enjoyed the soft and sweeter buns that are used. The drinks bar serves a curated original drinks lineup which was nice.

Google
Ordered the Nashville hot bird with blazing spice. Tasted fine, not great. Chicken could be a lot crispier. Portion size is tiny. The sandwich is more of a slider than a sandwich. For the same price, you can get two similar sized sliders from Dave’s hot chicken, a lot crispier and tastier.

Google
Solid choice if you like chicken-based meals. Fries and salads are also very good, and if you like spicy, definitely try the Nashville style chicken. Clean interior with friendly service, but the lines can get long during meal hours so plan ahead! Decent sized parking lot.

Google
Best kept secret...didn't find this Gem till today thanks to my boss. Best chicken wings in the Bay Area hands down. Love the wings and different options available. I got the Garlic Parmesan bone in with blue cheese dip. Didn't need the dip they tasted amazing just as is. Got a lemonade it was super refreshing. Will come back and try the salads and the other wing flavors

Google
A great place for fried chicken. Was our first time - we ordered a mix of kids meals, a Thai tender meal, and a Nashville sandwich. All the food tasted great and the coleslaw was surprisingly good! I took a photo of my meal to donate a meal via the QR on the table but I totally forgot. Would appreciate if someone can do it for me instead until I’m in the store next time :)

Fresh, flavorful, and high-quality salads! Every bite is packed with top-tier ingredients, crisp greens, and deliciously crafted flavors that keep you coming back for more. Whether it's a classic or a bold new creation, Starbird salads never disappoint and the price is right! I love it!!! Highly recommended!!!!

Chicken tenders were the best I've had from anywhere! Also truffle fries and elote corn were great. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Was craving a salad on my way to my in-laws, and remembered there was a Starbird in Foster City. First time at this location, it wasn't too busy on Saturday afternoon. Ordered the elote chopped salad with grilled chicken and fries (because balance obviously). The salad was DELICIOUS. From the romaine lettuce to the chicken and tortilla strips, everything looked and tasted fresh. It came with a jalapeño lime dressing that I enjoyed. Well balanced and not spicy, but lots of flavor. I only used about half of the large container of dressing, personal choice as I don't like my salads drowning. The fries were ok, nothing special. They lacked seasoning, salt, pepper, anything really. They were also soft, kinda mushy texture. I def prefer my fries a little crunchier.

Yelp
I remember the first time I ever saw Starbird's chicken sandwiches pop up in my feed, I was immediately intrigued. Thick, enticing sandwiches with golden, crispy pieces of chicken and a variety of dressings? Yes please! They looked so good, in fact, that it made it that much more surprising to discover that Starbird was a chain! With all due respect to the likes of Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, those traditional fast food joints would be hard pressed to put out something that looked this good, let alone anything that even remotely resembles their ads! In a way, Starbird strikes me as the chicken version of Shake Shack - more fast casual than fast food (though still fast food-ish) with better quality food to offer. In addition to their aforementioned chicken sandwiches, the menu has a pretty good variety of options for folks to choose from - a variety of salads, wings (both bone-in and boneless), nuggets, and a handful of sides. Plus, I love how their soda machine features a local craft soda company (Alameda Point Craft Soda) rather than the typical assortment of Pepsi and Coke flavors. -- SEOUL STAR - Crispy Chicken, Sweet Soy Glaze, Korean Seoul Sauce, Shredded Green Cabbage, Sliced Cucumbers, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Korean Chili Flakes, Green Onion, Mayo, and a Soft Round Bun It's a shame they don't have this on the menu anymore because it was great! The chicken was really juicy, the glaze and sauce added a nice sweet and spicy element, and the cabbage and cucumbers provided a touch of freshness. -- STARBIRD 2.0 - Crispy Chicken, Herb Aioli, Rainbow Slaw, Pickled Red Onion, Avocado Mash, and a Soft Round Bun We thought about trying their classic chicken sandwich, but it felt a little too "classic". Plus, this just sounded so much better! The batter wasn't too heavy or dry, the chicken itself was moist, and the avocado, pickled red onions, and herb aioli mixed together so well. -- TRUFFLE PARMESAN FRIES - House Fries, Truffle Oil, Grated Parmesan, and Chopped Parsley Served with Truffle Aioli I know truffle oil on fries can be divisive, but these were fantastic! The fries were crispy and the truffle oil and parmesan complemented each other so well. The truffle in the aioli wasn't overpowering, but also not really needed either. Yum! -- HALF & HALF WINGS (8pcs) - Four Bone-in Original Wings and Four Boneless Lemon Pepper Wings The taste of the Original bone-in wings was fairly basic, but I liked how crunchy the batter was and the juiciness of the chicken. As for the boneless wings, it was the reverse - I liked how the tartness from the lemon pepper, but a couple of pieces were just short of being dry. -- CHICKEN CHOP SALAD - Crispy Chicken, Romaine, Cabbage Blend, Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, Avocado Mash, Cotija Cheese, Pepitas, Crispy Tortillas, Cilantro, Green Onions, and Chipotle Lime Dressing I wish I saw this had cilantro in it, as it otherwise wasn't bad. All of the salad components tasted oh so fresh and there was a good amount of chicken, though, some of the pieces were similarly dry. The dressing a little sweet, but fine in moderation. The other thing that I liked about Starbird is that the workers seem so much friendlier than at your typical fast food joint. Not that they have to be overly chipper and cheerful, but I did appreciate how nice and helpful all were. Considering how my first trip here was more of a four while my second was closer to a three, their THREE AND A HALF star average is pretty spot on. However, between how convenient this place is and how the sandwiches are far superior to traditional fast food joints, I'm more than happy to round up.

Yelp
Starbird was just okay for me. The chicken had a nice crunch but without the added seasonings like lemon pepper it felt a bit underwhelming. Most of the flavor was on the outside while the meat itself could use more seasoning. They offer a variety of chicken sandwiches and salads, which is nice for different tastes and dietary preferences. I liked their craft soda fountain, which includes root beer and other fun options. The place has lots of seating and service feels like a regular fast food spot. Not bad overall, but I would not go out of my way for it.

Yelp
Starbird is a NorCal fried chicken chain that started in Sunnyvale in 2016, which I patronized when I worked in south bay in the past. Ever since its first location, I consider the quality to have gone slightly down due to ingredient sourcing. This Foster City location is alright, but not too consistent for me. It shares a pretty decent parking lot with other fast food places, and online orders for pickup have been timely, but the issue lies in the ingredient consistency. They do seasonal flavors every few months and offer reward points (and surveys for points). They make fried chicken sandwiches, salads, tenders, wings, nuggets, and a few other side items. When they first came into existence, I think they mainly specialized in tenders, which is probably their best product. I'm personally a bigger fan of their salads because they're huge, filling, have pretty fresh and delicious ingredients, and complementary sauces (though a little sweet at times). The South SF location does a discount on salads on Monday, but this Foster City location doesn't, which is a shame as I'd order more. The main issue for me is that their fried chicken is supposedly never frozen, but it kind of tastes like that most of the time - it has a dry, grainy taste often, and the breading is similarly sandy. The sauces usually make it way better, but if I were judging based on naked chicken piece alone, it wouldn't do well. That being said, it's not as oily as other fried chicken, and it has a thick crunch. The thick cut fries are usually good if they don't come to you lukewarm. Items I don't like include their rainbow slaw because the dressing is like watery mayonnaise. I also really dislike the boneless wings and nuggets - they taste like chicken scraps. Their bread has bad sourcing as it's very dry and bland, though it actually made an improvement lately. Finally, the truffle parmesan items are extremely stinky with no taste to back it up. Let's move on to the flavors. Ideally, it's a smart idea to get flavors you like or are familiar with. My personal favorite is the sweet Thai, because it's so savory with a delicious fish sauce sweetness and pungency. The Nashville dry rub is a medium level of spice, but may hurt your innards if you're sensitive. Any item with avocado mash in it has been fresh and great for me. The Cali Gold BBQ sauce tastes like potent sweet and sour sauce, and the roasted garlic aioli tastes like a decadent garlic cream. Some say the stars of Starbird are their sauces. - Star Sauce Yumm, the star of the show. Very tangy and pretty addictive, faint hint of thousand island, definitely creamy, definitely lots of lip smacking sweet tang. - Greek Yogurt Ranch Tastes like cream pretty much. I don't get either Greek yogurt or ranch more than a sauce that "tastes like pure cream". - Honey Mustard A creamy and tangy honey mustard. - Spicy Seoul Sauce Tastes like mayo mixed with gochujang. Pretty tangy and hard to tell whether I love it or just like it. - Honey Chipotle BBQ Tastes like a tangy sweet barbecue sauce, near sweet and sour sauce status, not smoky. - Sriracha Buffalo Tastes like a very smooth buffalo sauce with hint of sriracha. - Wasabi Aioli More like mayo with very vague 10% hint of wasabi, and I think I tasted ginger. - Blue Cheese A pretty mild blue cheese, more creamy than funk. - Spicy Herb Aioli Not sure if this is exclusive to sweet Thai products, but it tastes like mayo mixed with cilantro chutney. As for beverages, the strawberry lemonade is pretty sweet with some lemon pulp and kind of refreshing. It's good if you like drinks sweet. You can get chicken and churros for a dessert which are quite tasty; they are very smooth and soft in terms of churros. They taste more like fried dough than a sugar coated treat. The sugar on chicken is interesting, but I prefer it to be savory and not sugar coated.

Yelp
I always enjoy a meal at Starbird, my boyfriend and I split the Thai chicken salad with ten chicken nuggets together. The nuggets were really good and made from quality chicken! He personally prefers the elote salad since it packs more flavor, but we both appreciate the Thai for what it is. Leafy, sweet, and packing a bit of a chili punch from the sauce, I found our meal delightful and more than enough for two people to finish (or one person to have for lunch with leftovers for dinner). The vegetables are very well balanced, with a bit of everything (lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, shallots, and the like). If you dine in and scan the QR code on the tables to take a photo of your meal, Starbird will donate a meal to people in need! I wish I realized this before I devoured my plate...

Yelp
Review on the BONELESS WINGS only: I've only tried the boneless wings and they never disappoint. I appreciate that the boneless wings are gluten free. My usual order are the lemon pepper - I've tried others and wasn't really a fan. I love grabbing these to go when I need a quick filling meal high in protein. I just wish they weren't so high in calories - 100 cal each little boneless wing :-( I prefer the subtle flavor of the LP so I can enjoy dipping sauce. My preferred sauces are the BBQ (little spicy kick) and the Thai (more like cilantro/green goddess). I usually do take out or kiosk and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Today, when they noticed I was waiting they checked in with me to let me know they were packing the order. The spot itself clean...fast food style vibes - tables, bright, counter or kiosk order with open kitchen. I think in terms of overall expectations it's important to remember this is fast food and for a fast food joint it's giving five stars.

Yelp
I was in Foster City to watch my niece's soccer game and hungry for lunch and Starbird hit the spot! - Chopped salad - 4/5, fried chicken pieces on a bed of romaine with grape tomatoes, avocado mash, tortilla strips, pepitas, and other items. I thought the dressing was okay, I think I would rather have the green goddess dressing on it instead (I held the cilantro) - fries - 3/5 I thought they were just okay, also they weren't hot - cojito corn - 4/5, looked/tasted promising except there was cilantro in it which I do not prefer

Yelp
Went back for a few times as it is convenient and they have a great rewards program. Tried their new brussels sprouts = WOW it was surprisingly flavorful, crispy and delicious. Also consistent food quality. Totally deserves the upgrade to 5 's

Yelp
I hadn't been to this place in years, so I decided to give it another try. I mainly came for the wings but was disappointed--the lemon pepper wings were so salty I couldn't even finish them. However, the chicken sandwiches were fantastic! The chicken was crispy, the sauce and seasoning were on point, and the bread stayed firm without turning soggy, which I really appreciated. Although I didn't get to try their locally crafted sodas, the lemonade was delicious--I liked it so much I went back for a refill! The staff were incredibly friendly, and I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. You can place your order at a kiosk or with a staff member, which is convenient. There's plenty of seating available, both indoors and outdoors, making it a comfortable spot to dine.

Yelp
Like their Thai chicken tender box. Some of their sauces are really nice. The order was placed with kiosks and it was ready pretty quickly.

Yelp
Finally got to try starbird. There's a lot options. Chicken tenders, sandwiches, and salads. I got the elote chicken salad. I upgraded and got the blazin chicken and made it spicy. The salad is a huge portion. I had 2 meals. The corn was fire!! Chicken was crispy and juicy. Not too spicy. And the salad dressing was delicious. Wish they had more locations in SoCal!
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich and Nashville hot fries were both tasty crispy, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. That said, the prices felt a bit high for what you get. Overall, a solid meal, just a little on the pricey side.
google avatar

Natalie M.

Yelp
The salad was good but very sparce with cucumber and other ingredients. I got the Thai chicken salad. You can see in the picture that it needed more cucumber and carrots. This was sort of disappointing because it didn't have as much dimension I'd want in a salad. I love a variety of textures! The flavor was good though and the restaurant was clean overall.
google avatar

Mandi F.

Yelp
I've heard such great things about Starbird I was really surprised how disappointing it was. We ordered pickup, and I got the Thai salad. The chicken was horribly dry and super soggy. I get that take out could cause sogginess but maybe try venting the container top? It had such a bad texture I couldn't eat it. Like, chicken is in their name. It's pretty bad if they mess up their main ingredient. The salad part was good but while I was glad they put the sauce on the side, one part of the sauce is still mixed in it, so my thinking of eating half and saving the other half for the next day was immediately out of the question now. Overall I don't get the hype. My friend did say they recently changed suppliers and that's why the quality is worse now. Maybe that's true? Either way, I'm a pass.

Yelp
I came here super late and wanted to try it before I went home. There's a bunch of parking and is close to the freeway. The place was super clean and the staff was hella nice. Everyone hyped it up and I thought it deserved it. I ended up getting the thai tenders. It was good, not too salty. Next time I will try to grab the nashville hot. The drinks were hella good, the different sodas and lemonades. What got me was that damn thai iced tea. That is dangerous, free refills on that? HAHA. That's like the charged lemonade type, the 6th loko. I would go back again.

Yelp
My office in San Francisco order Starbird for weekly lunch and it was a hit. Everyone loved it including myself. I was hesitant on the quality given it's a distance for delivery. I order the Nashville chicken, it was really spicy. I think it's a great level of spice. It would make it better if the spice is mixed evenly on the chicken. I can't wait for the next time we order from them again.

Yelp
More wings and tenders! Great service and chickie! I adore the Sweet Thai Chili Tender! Love this! Friday night treat for a busy long week.

Yelp
Well, well well finally found a place that has gluten-free chicken. Tried the four piece tenders Nashville hot 10 out of 10 french fries. We're good eight out of 10. Definitely will come back here. Good atmosphere Service was quick. Food was delicious. If you're craving chicken, this is the place to go. It is a little pricey though, but worth it.
google avatar

Lee D.

Yelp
Wings hot, fresh and crispy, churros are ok, fries was stone cold...wtf...you can tell they was made over a hour or 2 ago and popped under a heat lamp of micro wave. It only took a 4 min drive home from the place. Fries was old not fresh.

Yelp
Finished an outing in San Mateo and family thought some Starbird would hit the spot so looked up when the Foster City store closes...10pm on THEIR WEBSITE...perfect. Waze said we'd arrive at 9:03pm. Waze was on point and we arrived accordingly but strangly the chairs inside were all stacked up. ROH OH. Looked at the website again...yup, 10pm today (Tues). Walked up to the door and saw a printed-out sign on the door (see photo). Ok, so it's not like my Yumi Yogurt experience but the outcome is the same. If you know you're going to be closed ahead of time is it that hard to make notice on the website??? Doubt I'll be back now. And too bad because this store was better than the SSF one that seems to always forget something in your order, no matter how simple.

Yelp
Starbird's menu introduced new Asian-inspired items so we decided to try some out. We ordered the Starbird 2.0 (chicken sandwich) and Banh Mi Fries. The size of the sandwich was fairly smaller than expected, but tasted pretty good nonetheless. I order the Banh Mi Fries but without the Asian Herb mix and they were alright, but wish they added a lot more of that aioli sauce. Maybe I could request for more sauce (maybe??), because the sauce really hits. We've always ordered online for pick up because it's just so much easier to stop by, get your food, then bounce. It's so convenient and quick to order. Honestly haven't been inside this location since the place was still Pizza Hut lol. Maybe I'll go inside next time. Overall these items were not bad. Still got love for this place though, my go-to order is always the Nashville Hot Fries but felt like trying more items out today.

Yelp
Hadn't had Starbird as of late, so my brother and I, taking advantage of the nice weather, decided to drive on over to get takeout and eat it at the nearby Leo J. Ryan park. Ordered the Nashville Hotbird and an 8-count of boneless wings (buffalo) with ranch, blue cheese, and honey mustard dip. I've gotta say, I'm rocking with the new buns. Previously, Starbird's sandwiches came on this long sub-like bread. This meant the toppings would be unevenly distributed, and you would almost always end up with one end of the sandwich being only slaw and condiments. These new buns are normal burger buns (very shiny ones, at that) and make for a much more equal eating experience. The chicken on my sandwich was a bit small, but the quality was there. The meat was crispy, had a manageable kick, and a welcome acidity from the pickles. Aside from needing more Greek yogurt ranch and being a little oily, it was a tasty sandwich. The boneless wings were large and saucy, just how I like them. I had a bad experience with Starbird wings at the airport (one was undercooked), but thankfully, there was nothing wrong these. The Greek yogurt ranch and blue cheese dips were both great, being creamy and zesty as well as smoky and pungent, respectively. The mustard didn't really go well with the wings, and I have no idea why we even ordered it in the first place. If you're local for some upscale fried chicken, get the cluck over to your local Starbird.

Yelp
Good taste. First time trying Starbird. We had Seoul star, Starbird, and Nashville. But I like Nashville the least. Too dry for me, no flavor just spicy. Seoul and Starbird are good! We also ordered wings. The sauces are good. We had blazin' ranch, blue cheese, honey BBQ, and Thai sweet chili. My son loves the Thai iced tea too. Ambiance and cleanliness are okay.

Yelp
It's been some time since coming here, but on a adventure to Foster City Costco, I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. The Korean Chicken Sandwich was a subtle but nice flavor, and at a very good price point. The Thai salad was extremely tasty and a very good size for 2 people to share (or 1 very hungry person to be satisfied). I was intrigued by the wings, and I like the ability to order half bone-in/half boneless with two different flavors (far more flexibility than Wingstop, and cheaper per wing). The Thai sauce was very tasty, with a good spice and sweetness. The best parts were the craft soda choices that your can grab and refill yourself, very clean and open interior, and the staff. I give kudos to the guy at the register who told me to wait while he checked. He took out each item to check it off the receipt and made sure that the order was completely in the bag. That alone was enough to make me excited to come back again.

Yelp
It is a decent spot for a quick bite, but it falls short in a few key areas. The chicken sandwiches are okay, though they really come to life when you opt for the spicy version--it's the only way to add some much-needed kick and flavor to an otherwise average sandwich. However, if you're craving wings, you might want to skip them; they're not up to par. Another downside is the drink selection--it's a bit off the beaten path, with no standard soda options like Coke or Sprite, which feels like an odd oversight for a fast food place. Overall, while it's not a terrible option if you're in the area and in the mood for some spice, I'm not sure I'd make it a regular stop. It's worth a try, but I might not come back for round two.

Grace V.

Yelp
I mean... really. I honestly don't know why the food hasn't been hitting lately. I was so upset after working an 8-hour shift to get a bite for me and my brother. His sandwich was good; unfortunately, mine wasn't. When I bit into my sandwich, it was chewy and had a burnt piece on the bun. I looked into the sandwich, and one side was a bit bigger, so I started to rip it apart, honestly. And it was a bit raw. It was already almost 9 and wasn't even in the mood anymore.
google avatar

Elia C.

Yelp
Felt extremely uncomfortable tonight, I just got home & realized I don't even want to eat this food anymore.. They probably spit in it.. I walked in with my husband on New Year's Eve before they said they closed at 9pm. While I was ordering, 2 female employees handling the food were glaring at me.. Making it Extremely Uncomfortable to order. I didn't want to leave because we had already wasted enough gas trying to make it on time. I will Never return. You have the audacity to make me feel uncomfortable while you're taking my money. Not entertaining this behavior from food places in 2025!

Ava L.

Yelp
Came in just as the store opened for the day. It took a long time to get food that did not taste fresh. The chicken wings were dry and on the smaller side. The fries were limp. Bottom line: I will not go back.

Yelp
I had a promo code for $10 off at Starbird and happened to be in the neighborhood, so I headed that way and opened up the app on my phone. I had already arrived by the time I figured out what to order: the Starbird 2.0 sandwich. I chose no utensils because I didn't need them. I did, however, select napkins -- two of them -- since I knew my sandwich would be a little messy. As you can see in the photo, there were no napkins in the bag. My order was ready just a little too quickly -- not that I wanted to wait a while, but the fact that it came out just a couple minutes later and well before the pickup time listed in my email confirmation made me feel like it was ready when I walked in and they were just waiting for someone to order that kind of sandwich. The sandwich was okay -- perhaps worthy of three stars -- but the lack of attention to detail with the napkins, my lack of confidence in its freshness, and the promo code not working drops this experience to two stars. I even reached out to Starbird that same day to let them know about the promo code issue and have yet to hear back almost a week later. I'm not impressed.

Yelp
Absolutely love Starbirds! I knew nothing about it until my daughter turned me on to it! I love that there's something on the menu for literally everyone! Healthy, new items and- you can never go wrong with chicken! Absolutely one of my favorite places to dine in or dash! They're super delicious, fast, easy to communicate with regarding orders and every single starbird chicken I've visited are clean and professional; thanks Starbird!!!

Yelp
I have been trying to find other places to get wings besides WingStop, but I must say these other places are failing. I decided to give this place a try. I ordered an 8 piece wings, fries, pineapple lemonade, and churros. Not sure where to start, but let's start with the good. The wings are definitely the star here. Dry rub BBQ & lemon pepper. The wings were prepared fresh and they were seasoned well and crispy. The wings hold up on their own, but they tiny containers of dipping sauce is not enough. The wings are solid and the only reason they received 3 starts. The fries were mid, slightly soggy and lacked salt/seasoning. Customer services we fine I placed a mobile order so I only interacted with staff to retrieve my order. They were friendly, and my order was nicely packed and correct. There's indoor seating and they were moderately busy during lunch time. Pineapple lemonade - the flavor is good; however, I must say that flavored lemonade should be sweet. There should at least be some simple syrup to add for sweetness if that's what one desires. Regular lemonade is good slightly tart, but there should be a nice balance between tart and sweet with flavored lemonade. Pineapples when ripe are sweet so the lemonade should taste like pineapple, it does and be sweet. Churros - do not pass go, do not collect $200. whomever idea it was to omit cinnamon on the churros should be arrested expeditiously! Using sugar, it was not powdered sugar, only completely ruined perfectly light and fried churros. They were also served with maple syrup which is also criminal. I can see it working with an overkill of powered sugar and the tenders (the do have the option to buy chicken and churros).

Yelp
Call it food! They have the best fries I've ever had! No kidding. I also believe their sauces are handmade because my blue cheese had bites and they were very rich and delicious! I recommend their signature star sauce. No service, which is normal for a fast food chain. All in all, I was satisfied and want to go to them again!

Yelp
Compared to many other places in California, the Peninsula hasn't exactly been the most well-known spot for find good chicken. But with more chicken places on the rise, I figured I'd try Starbird Chicken in Foster City. Having been in the area for many years, I've always been curious about this standalone location and finally decided to give them a try. Coming into the area on a Thursday around 12:00PM, the parking lot was packed full. There were so many people here in fact that many trucks were double parked in the lot. Entering into the restaurant, there was a good amount of people inside. Although there were a few people dining in, it seemed that the majority of the people were waiting to take their food to go. Starbird Chicken uses a digital ordering system and had three kiosks open during the time I was there. But should you want to order the conventional way, there is one regular register available. For this visit, I chose the 4 Piece Classic Tender Box which was $14.97 and a small tropical lemonade at $2.47. I was alerted that my order was completed by both a text message sent to my phone and two large screens at the front of the restaurant. And to that fact, the food was ready in a matter of 5 minutes which I appreciated. Taking my items out of the bag, I was able to make out a small fries, a coleslaw, and the tenders themselves. Each tender box allows you to choose from a variety of sauces. And for this visit, I chose to try the Blazin' Ranch and the Star Sauce. Gathering all of the items, about 70% of the portion size was chicken which was a good ratio. And looking at each piece, there was a good portion of white meat inside. Fifteen dollars is a bit on the higher side when looking at the price of fast food in the Foster City area. But for what you are getting, I'd argue the price to portion is pretty good. From what I could tell, all of the food tastes hand-crafted and of very good quality. Beginning with the lemonade, the food tasted sweet but not too sugary. I especially enjoyed that I was able to taste the fruits in the lemonade which made it that more refreshing. Moving on to the coleslaw next, the mix of kale, red cabbage, green cabbage, and carrots made for a unique mix. While some of the vegetables tasted light, others balanced the slaw out and made It taste more dynamic which I enjoyed. Next, the fries were pretty simple as they were lightly salted and lightly crispy. But nonetheless they were very good. For last, the chicken was lightly breaded and very crispy. With a light seasoning, it had flavor and was delicious. What made the chicken the best was the moisture of the white meat and the selection of sauces. The Blazin' Ranch had a tame spice and was also sweet which added on more flavor to the chicken. As for the Star Sauce, it was thicker in consistency and sweeter than the ranch which wasn't too bad either. In all, the chicken was very good and I would definitely get the tenders again. Even though Starbird Chicken might seem to be a small, unassuming fast food restaurant, don't take this place for granted! From the streamlined ordering system and fast service to the amount of food given and the decent price, I couldn't ask for anything more. By no means is this the top of the mill place for chicken, but the fact their meat does not have antibiotics is enough of a reason to give this place a try. Be sure to come during non-peak times to avoid jams in the parking lot. But other than this, I'd argue Starbird Chicken is a solid 4 star place to visit. Great food!

Yelp
If you haven't tried Starbird chicken, you should! We got a small family pack for 3 people and a child and we ended up having enough left over for another meal for 2 people. We added 2 orders of fries and a strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade. 20 wings: highly recommend the Buffalo wings here. The bone in are juicy and well seasoned and dip well with the ranch. We did also try the orange glaze which is more tangy and more orange-y than Panda Express orange chicken and I really did not enjoy this flavor. 10 tenders: the tenders were well seasoned and I loved dipping them in both the starbird sauce and ranch! It is slightly dry though so you will have to make sure you have sauce. slaw: comes with the family pack. It is kale based but I was not a fan of it. Not enough flavor and overly creamy sauce. I would probably just order chicken platters instead. large lemonade ($2.97): both were slightly too tangy and sour. I had to add some water and sugar to it so I wouldn't recommend getting unless you want concentrated lemonade. the fries ($3.97) were delicious and the toddler devoured them! I really enjoyed dipping these in the sauces as well. We ordered this through DoorDash so the chicken definitely could've been crispier but overall the food came fast and it came on a plastic platter you get to keep for future family feasts!

Yelp
I was here at least 6 times and my order is always a salad with double chicken, usually grilled. At least 3 times they were giving me a single chicken instead of a double. I usually check, so they were adding the missing one each time they were caught. It looks systematic to me, like they are doing it on purpose. Always check your order.

Yelp
I was disappointed with the amount of grilled chicken on my salad, roughly 5 tiny pieces, and it costs more to add it on!! Things have changed there from when they 1st opened.

Yelp
Their "New" Elote (Spanish word for corn) Salad with Chicken started off phenomenal. The corn cilantro and thin sliced mild jalapeño was fantastic, BUTTTT once the chicken was gone I tasted some extreme lime and salt seasoning that I saw the cook douse on my salad? My remaining salad was grossly salty and limey. Furthermore, the jalapeño lime salad dressing was also extremely limey so most of the second half of my salad was in edible and it ticked me off I paid so much for this salad. If you buy this ask for a different kind of salad dressing and tell them no salt/lime powder seasoning.

Yelp
This review is for Starbird ?Wings that I ordered via Grubhub. I was surprised by how warm and crispy the wings still were when they arrived, which makes it a big pro for those looking for wings for delivery. Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper Wings: The flavors really stood out and I enjoyed both of them. The seasoning is dry so you get the moisture with the sauces. We got the Star Sauce/Greek Yogurt Ranch/Honey Mustard/Blue Cheese and the Star Sauce was the star (think ChickFila sauce). Super Slaw: Surprisingly, refreshing and they used kale, which was a nice touch. Chicken Chop Salad: The fried chicken was nice and crispy and the salad was delicious, but not on the healthy side. Overall, the wings were quite tasty and wouldn't mind coming back!

Yelp
The phrases "never treated with antibiotics ", "seasonal and hand crafted beverages ", positively delicious chicken" make one think that this may be a good place. In reality it is a bad deep fried chicken with plenty of salt that left me with deep heartburn

Yelp
An okay fast casual restaurant The flavor of the chicken was pretty good but the pieces are tiny. Recommend the sweet Thai sauce over the barbecue sauce. Do not get their salad... which looks way more pathetic than the advertised photos on the menu. My bowl is barely half full with five pieces of bite size chicken in it. I was kind o disappointed Hot dog also not recommended. Very mediocre

Yelp
So we went to the city for our usual monthly trip. We stopped here for dinner heading home. I got a Green Goddess salad- spicy Crispy Chicken, gorgonzola, pickled red onion, avocado mash, tomatoes, radish, egg, with Green Goddess Dressing on the side. My husband had the truffle fries and tenders. The food was so good, service is quick and good the staff are friendly and patient. The ambiance is typical like any other food place but it was clean and everything was organized. Bonus: the restroom was clean. All in all, great spot

Yelp
I ordered 3 Nashville fries through the Starbird app for delivery yesterday. I received 2 Nashville fries that were completely burnt and 1 that just had barely any ranch dressing and green onions, there was no cheese or Nashville spice. I requested a refund via voicemail to the store, via the app and on Starbird IG account through DM. No one has gotten back to me. The food was sub par. I've had the Nashville fries many times in the past. This time there were quality issues. It shouldn't be that hard to get a refund from the Starbird app! Haven't heard from customer service as of yet (2 days later). Won't be using the Starbird app ever again to get their exclusive fries. There's zero customer support from that app.

Yelp
Me and my wife came to Starbird for dinner. We entered the restaurant and the ambiance was amazing. The restaurant is very customer service friendly. Customer service was great and very helpful. My wife order green goddess Cobb salad with chicken with extra seasoning. My wife loved her salad and said it was very flavorful/delicious. I ordered sweet Thai tender box which came with truffle fries. The tenders were phenomenal and very flavorful. Me and my wife loved the truffle fries. If you are a chicken lover this is a place to go.

Yelp
Quick service, their star sauce is my absolute favorite sauce of all of them. The mango habanero was more sweet than spicy for my taste. The nuggets and tenders are still nice and juicy, not dry at all.

Yelp
Wow I think I understand why Starbird is actually so good now. My coworker is honestly obsessed with this place and I can finally understand now. I ordered a Thai chicken salad from DoorDash and this definitely hit the spot for me. The chicken was super crisp and tender. There was no hint of it being dry and it was seasoned very well. You can honestly tell that the quality of the chicken was freshly cooked too. The salad was crisp, refreshing, and the sauces were such a nice complement to the whole thing! The sauces that it comes with are the Papaya Sauce and the Spicy Herb Aioli. I could honestly just come back here and order this again because I thought this was really good. If I come back again, I will for sure try their burgers and other things on their menu. I can see why this would be a nice indulging treat-yourself meal to have too and they have a variety of different things. I'm a fan!

Yelp
Came here for to-go dinner. Ordered their new truffle tenders and truffle parmesan fries. The fries were delicious though slightly soggy by the time we ate them (no more than 10 minutes from getting them unfortunately). The truffle aioli was delicious. The tenders--I was confused about. They tasted lemony for whatever reason. I don't like that. Overall, just okay. Imma try nashville hot next time. I did try their hot wings (too soggy for me), and truffle wings (wonderfully crispy).
