Had a great meal here before my flight. Was pleasantly surprised on the quality and flavor of the chicken sandwich. It got a bit messy in the end which isn't the best when you are about to fly, but overall it was good. Just be careful when eating so the juices don't stain your clothes.

Solid airport food in SFO. Got the Nashville chicken sandwich. The bun mostly held up and didn’t make a huge mess when I ate it at the gate. Spice was good. Flavour overall good. The sandwich itself was filling enough for me. Relatively quick if you’re in a crunch

Starbird is a solid choice for comfort food inside San Francisco Airport, especially considering the limited dining options available. Service was very quick as well! The burger was flavorful, with tender, crispy chicken and a generous layer of mashed avocado that helped balance out the richness. While I appreciated the overall quality, I did find everything a bit too salty for my taste—especially the roasted corn, which was so heavily seasoned I couldn’t manage a second bite. That said, if you’re craving a satisfying chicken burger before your flight, this is one of the better bets in the terminal.

It’s really a 3.5. Out of all the places in the San Francisco airport this is the one that looked the most appetizing and didn’t have reviews that deterred me. For airport food and airport chicken, not bad. I got the chicken tender box and it was decent—as well as the fries. Is it worth $20? For sure no. And they charge you for all the extra sauces. I liked the star sauce the best—good to dip the fries in. And then the BBQ sauce. Classic. Overall, I feel pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

Far beyond my expectation! The chicken was crispy and the chips are hot and fresh. The veg is very fresh. The paid food is much better than the free food in the lounge, lol

Starbird at SFO was a bright spot in airport dining, the kind of place that makes a long travel day feel briefly civilized. The chicken was hot, crisp, and clearly made with care, not the sad, heat-lamp version you brace for at airports. Everything tasted intentional, from the seasoning to the sauces. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Jerome and Jackson were genuinely kind, upbeat, and attentive in a way that felt human rather than scripted. They moved fast, kept things smooth during a busy rush, and still took the time to be welcoming. That kind of energy matters when everyone around is tired, stressed, or rushing to a gate. If you find yourself at SFO and want food that actually feels like food, plus service that lifts your mood instead of draining it, Starbird is worth the stop. Jerome and Jackson turned a quick airport meal into a genuinely good experience.

First time, here. I ordered the Starbird 2.0. Awesome. The staff was getting down. The chicken was hot and juicy. I also grabbed the strawberry lemonade (superb). 10/10. If you're jumping off a plane, or you are experiencing a 7 hrs. layover, check them out. Worth it.

Who puts ginger flavor salad in sandwiches and wrap in non water proof paper? Falls apart after 2 mins. Terrible design.
