"Virtually every Starbucks location in America is transitioning to drive-thru-only to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. In a press release sent on March 20, Starbucks announced that the policy would be put in place for at least two weeks and will supersede the chain’s original COVID-19 response, of making its cafes to-go only." - Erin DeJesus

workers are rude and messed up my drink. ordered the lavender matcha and somehow they forgot the lavender cold foam? my coworker mentioned how someone working there was extremely disrespectful to him just for simply asking if he had to do anything before taking his pick up order. Some places require that so people don’t steal, it’s a simple harmless question. I recommend people go to any other Starbucks in the mall, never had such a poor experience anywhere else.

I’ve been here multiple times and they always do the same thing. This time I asked for light ice and half my cup is basically just ice disappointing def not worth the money. Also male hispanic cashier with curly hair is very unpleasant def needs to be retrained or at least learn some sort of customer service or manners was very unpleasant and unhelpful don’t recommend would go to another one in the mall.

I ordered an iced latte with light ice, but first, they gave me a cup of milk that required a microscope to discover any dark color! I asked for a replacement, and one of the staff members informed me that since I requested light ice, the cup would be half full. I'm just amazed! I order this every single day. In this store, my cup was filled with a quarter of ice, a quarter of milk, and half a dose of attitude.

I stopped by this Starbucks tonight and ordered a Trenta black tea with light ice and a refresher base add-in. When I got my drink, it wasn’t full, so I politely asked if they could add a little more tea to fill the cup. They told me it’s their policy not to fill drinks when light ice is requested. I’ve been to this location many times and have never had that happen before. Starbucks is already a splurge, and with how expensive everything is, getting a less than full drink feels like a ripoff. It wouldn’t have cost them anything to top it off with a little more plain black tea, but they refused, which was really disappointing. If this is indeed their policy, I can’t afford Starbucks. That said, I reached out to Starbucks’ online customer service, and they offered excellent support. They always make things right, even when the store itself awkwardly refuses to fix a simple issue. If you ever run into a problem, I highly recommend reaching out to customer service because they actually care.

My daughter (who’s 10 years) came in and order 2 drinks Caramel ribbon crunch, A refresher and a cake pop. As we are ordering, (a lady who may have been the supervisor) was casually using foul language (cursing) while talking to the cashier who is ringing me up and telling the other 2 employees what needed to be done. I’m thinking very WOW super unprofessional. As my daughter and I are waiting for our drinks (mind you no one was waiting on drinks with us) it’s just us to at the pick up counter, the lady who may have been the supervisor is helping the young Barista girl make our drinks, she didn’t hand my daughter her drink she places it far away at the other side of the counter that we’re standing at. She knew it was our drink, it was totally obvious, no one else was waiting on a drinks. The young girl does the same to me when she finished with my drink. I asked her can I have a cup of ice she told me no I needed to get back in line cause now she’s backed up with orders. How is that even possible when those ppl just came in. Mind you she did make the ribbon crunch wrong at first she used regular milk instead of oat milk like we ordered but that’s her fault. The cashier must of over heard the conversation cause I initially walked out really upset that she told me to get back in line for a cup of ice but then I turned back around and came in and got back in line because I was going to return my drinks, but she asked the young male who was working to give me a cup of water and I corrected her and informed her I just asked for a cup of ice. Now as I’m standing there waiting for my cup of ice the young girl who had made my drink hands a young white girl her drink directly to her instead of places her drink far away from her like she did our order and she thanked her. Not sure if this was a racial thing or if it was just simply bad customer service. Honestly it felt racial. I didn’t bother even bringing this to who I think may have been the supervisor attention cause I’m sure she heard it cause she was not too far away from the cashier standing right there. For 1: if that young lady was backed up why didn’t one of the other two employees who were standing there doing other things help her out? She got helped with one drink and the lady walked away and started unboxing something. Also hearing (who I think was the supervisor) use inappropriate language in front of my child I knew this would be a waste of time addressing. However this is super unacceptable. As I read the other reviews I clearly see good customer service is NOT something that this location seems to deliver or cares about. Do better Starbucks!

I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about Starbucks at first. The first time I tried their coffee was years ago in Hungary, and it didn’t leave much of an impression. But a few days ago, I went to the Starbucks at Mall of America, and wow—the coffee was amazing! I ordered an iced caramel latte, and it was hands down one of the best versions I’ve ever had. Seriously, it was that good! The only downside was the wait time. My friend and I waited about 20 minutes for our drinks, which felt way too long. Starbucks definitely needs to hire more staff to keep things moving faster. That said, the team working there was awesome—super friendly and clearly doing their best to keep up. Overall, great coffee, great staff—just needs a little boost in speed. Thanks!

Becky, at the cashier. She is a gem! Wonderful lady who brings positive energy to you the moment you step up to place your order. Worth standing in line instead of doing a mobile order! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Gracias Becky.

Busy place but the employees were having fun and getting people what they needed as fast as they could. Their kind demeanor helped make the wait go by fast. Great job!!

Yelp
Of all the Starbucks I've been to, this one at the Mall of America next to the East entrance on the 1st floor was pretty cool. I spent about 1 1/2 hrs here on a brisk Friday May 2024 afternoon. After hanging out with a local MN friend for a few hours, I ended up chilling here at this Starbucks for a while before heading to the hotel for the evening. The best part was that I got to sit down with my luggage at one of their tables. I didn't think that there was any house music playing when I was there. For most of the 1 1/2 hours I was here, I was just killing time since I couldn't check into my hotel till after 3pm. Spent most of the time either on my phone or people watching inside Starbucks. When it was time to leave, I got up from the seating area and ordered a Trenta black tea lemonade with a brownie warmed up. There was a semi long line though, so I certainly studied to get my order in. It was a shame that I did not have mobile order capabilities so that I could get in and out faster in the line before I had to leave. This process took about 10 minutes since I had to wait for the other drinks to be processed before they worked on mine. But at the end of the day, it was all good and I left on time and got to the hotel at a reasonable hour. For the most part, though, this Starbucks was a great spot at the mall of America. Terrific because it is close to the exit and entrance of the mall and you cannot go around with Starbucks anyway. It is the best place to be when you're, tired of walking around shopping at the biggest mall in America. The overall experience here at this Starbucks at the mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota was pretty terrific. It was nice because of the service which was quick and casual as you were expected. Not sure about air-conditioning because I really didn't feed it. It was the beginning of summer and it would have been really nice to feel it. This Starbucks location was quite small, but it could handle maybe couple tables for people to sit and rest of the space was standing room only. They have the usual baked goods along with their signature coffees, teas, and specialty drinks that almost everybody would love. I personally like the double chocolate chip Frappuccino, but I can't have that every day. But special occasions I do. Wish I could have gotten it while on vacation here at the mall of America, but there's always next time. I just did my usual, trenta black tea or the tea lemonade. I also got a brownie warmed up. Nothing uneventful happened here at this Starbucks while I was here, so that's always a good thing. It was cool that this Starbucks was here at the mall of America where I got a drink to go. There is multiples Starbucks locations in the wall of America, but I chose this one since it was close to the exit and it was the first one that I spotted coming into the mall. so, if you are a Starbucks junkie like me and in the neighborhood is there stopping on by. They would love to have you. This Starbucks location is the Mall of America in Bloomington - a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is on the first floor near the east entrance of the mall. Like all Starbucks, they accept major credit cards as well as cash. They also do mobile app ordering and payments. As far as parking goes, your best bet is to try one of the many parking garages within walking distance of the mall complex. Or try parking lots or residential areas nearby that you find most promising. As for me though, I used Uber to get to the mall and also departing from the mall of America. Best bet is to use the East entrance for quick pick up, which I did during that Friday in May 2024. I'm glad that Starbucks is almost everywhere I go. The black tea lemonade was awesome as usual and the brownie was warmed up. It's more amazing if it's warmed up versus cold. There was plenty of people here on a Friday afternoon here at this Starbucks. Probably a great way to kick off the weekend here at the Mall of America. 4.0 stars for the overall experience, 4.0 stars for the service. 3.0 stars for the prices. 5.0 stars for the location since I was already here at the mall. Support local! B

Yelp
Okay I just need to give Paige at the first floor MOA Starbucks a shoutout. I was there the day after Christmas so of course the mall was PACKED. So. Many. People. I figured the coffee lines would be ridiculous, and well, I was right. When I got in line, it was already starting to be out the door. I needed coffee bad so I didn't mind waiting. Paige was the only barista behind the counter crafting the drinks (another was stationed at the cash register). I honestly have never seen a barista work as hard as I did that day. She was a freaking MACHINE. I feel pretty confident in saying that if she wasn't behind the counter that day, the line would've not just been out the door but to the next store over! She kept the line moving and here's the best part, she did it with a smile on her face. She was making multiple drinks at a time and the level of multi-tasking prowess was impressive. Though she was working in hyper-speed to a crowd that showed zero signs of diminishing and all signs of growing coffee withdrawal, she wasn't fazed one bit. On the contrary she looked totally happy! And she was even bobbing along to the track playing on the store speakers! I wasn't the only one who noticed this positive, smiling, good energy, machine of a barista, there were two gentlemen a few people ahead of me and as they got their drinks (I'm sure in record time), I overhead them say to her, "You're amazing!" and she replied, "Thanks. I love what I do!" It definitely shows! THANK YOU, Paige, for being an epic barista. You had no easy task serving that endless line of post-Christmas shoppers, but you made it look damn easy (and fun!) Give this girl a raise! Cheers, Eric

Yelp
I love Starbucks, but this one is not my favorite location. Great spot for mobile order pickups, but I would not stay to hang out. It's a super convenient spot, located on the first level next to the main rotunda at Mall of America and is always busy. Service is just ok. They were not that friendly when they took our order today. Five minutes after we received our drinks, I mentioned that they forgot to give us a cake pop. The barista gave us a cake pop quickly but did not apologize for forgetting it in the first place. Ambiance is just standard for what you expect at a Starbucks, nothing fancy here. Of course, the drinks and snacks taste exactly like they do at all other Starbucks - that seems to be their superpower. I tried to work from this location. WiFi is so glitchy, it kept dropping my connection, making it impossible to work without tethering to my mobile phone instead of Starbucks WiFi or Mall of America WiFi. I would only come back for mobile order pickup while I'm at the mall.

Yelp
The store opens sharp at 7:30 am and I can tell you by experience that a line starts forming even before that . This one is really popular apparently or its perhaps the first coffee shops to open in the mall .We went three days in a row and the quality of food and beverage every single day was perfect . The staff is friendly and fast . The wait times are not too long either.

Yelp
Now this Starbucks was inside Mall of America in Minnesota. The guy at the counter was super friendly and smiled and did indeed ask if I wanted a bag and actually put the cup in the bag for me! Of course the coffee and scones are always delicious! It was a bigger Starbucks so plenty of seating area which is really nice!

Yelp
don't even go to Starbucks, ALL there coffee sucks and its expensive lets be honest 7$+ for a coffee? be soo honest right now what are you doing spending that much daily on liquid sugar pls make tea & coffee at home with your friends and family the employees were so stressed because Starbucks doesn't train their employees and treats their workers poorly. The service was a catastrophe i feel for these workers.

John S.

Yelp
A not bad, not too great Starbuckeroo. Not very busy so no waiting. First red flag. I asked for the light roast which was the Blonde Roast which should be great for a mid-afternoon light drink. A lady at another cashier station yelled over, "there should still be some left". Yes the brew was getting old and had certainly moved up the scale to a darker medium roast. If they knew it was getting old I would have gladly waiting for a fresh pot or defaulted to medium roast.

Yelp
Worst coffee shop on the planet. Costumer service is worst. Never recommend . Ambiance is okay with poor maintenance and hygiene. Food is okay.

Yelp
You can't drive this store out of the mall no matter how much you want to. And who would Steerbucks? Located at the Mall of America is this busy Starbucks location which was neither the friendliest nor had the best tasting drinks - and I'm not sure why because the Mall of America in general is high-quality and very friendly. But that's just in general.

Ike I.

Yelp
Great experience overall the employees were very nice and helpful, definitely worth the wait for my tea at the drive through line probably the best Starbucks in the twin city area so far.

Yelp
This was my first time having Starbucks. The staff was a little ehhh on communication but they were busy and seems really stressed out. Totally get it, I've been there with a job. Other then that I was very impressed with my yummy drink.

Damian S.

Yelp
Very friendly and helpful service, every time! This location at the back of Barnes and Noble in MOA is always convenient and usually not too long a wait, which is nice. No matter where I go, whether the location or other coffee shops I'm named "David", which I don't mind too much, just makes me chuckle. Coffee is always made well and tastes good. Never had a coffee made wrong, so that's a nice bonus!

Riki C.

Yelp
Way to go Stephen from this location, friendly as can be and helped me find a new drink that id enjoy! He's mr personality and could pass as mr Minnesota nice, keep being a bad*** because it shines thru and thru!

Andrea R.

Yelp
This location is usually very busy and this results in very limited interaction with the staff. Hard to find a spot to sit, and not a great location to sit and chat. The drinks are made well and come out in a timely manner, although I do recommend ordering online and skip the line altogether.

Yelp
Came here yesterday to grab a quick drink while on our girls weekend shopping adventure at the Mall of America. Being from Seattle, Starbucks is literally a family member where I come from. We asked for the drink you can get after 3pm and it was 2:45pm. Was told "no" because they weren't prepared. Seriously?!?!? Then while waiting in line for a different drink, I see this sign posted in plain sight for all customers to see. It's a sign on how to make granites but literally says "KILL ME NOW". Are you freaking kidding me?!?!? Whomever wrote that should be FIRED. Great representation of Starbucks right there. Can't believe you would allow this to be posted......

Katie R.

Yelp
My latte was cross contaminated with other ingredients from another drink, tools could be steralized better

Matthias H.

Yelp
This is always the dirtiest Starbucks. Trash on the floor, dirty tables and grimy floors. Drinks are fine but how clean is the prep area looking at the rest of the store ? Starbucks has high standards, this store needs better management.

Joyce F.

Yelp
not so friendly cashier. a few peeps in line before me.

Gregory G.

Yelp
Never go here a large espresso. and a large Carmel espresso are only served in one cup, I specifically ordered them separately the teller held up a cup asking how many shots I said 2 please and then said and I would like an additional Carmel espresso. Upon receipt of my 9 dollar Carmel espresso I enquired my other drink which I was informed was put into the large cup. Now I asked how I was supposed to give that to my sister and the barrister informed me it would be ok as the shots were both in the other drink again! In fairness this was a mediocre cup of coffee for $9.00 and it sure didn't seem like there were 2 shots of espresso added to my large caramel espresso. Worst Starbucks experience of my life. Simply Pathetic. arguing with customers telling them what they ordered after we had discussed it very clearly at the register. 12/28/12 11am

Jennifer E.

Yelp
As a MOA employee, I come here daily for my coffee and food. This is an incredibly busy location, and yes- the idioticy of tourists perusing through is painstakingly annoying. However, Manager Stacy is truly amazing!! She loves her job, takes time to know all her regulars and what they drink, and makes your visit through before work so quick and pleasant! I cannot say enough great things...

R H.

Yelp
We were their on Easter Day. The sign said that they were closing due to it being Easter at 4pm. At 3:30pm, they took chairs and block the line so no one could make an order. That is poor service. I would have understood if they were just closed for the day on Easter, but to say you are open until 4pm then stop taking orders at 3:30pm is bad. I will not go there or recommend it anymore.

Sam B.

Yelp
As a partner, you expect the same experience you would give to a customer. When ordering my drinks, my boyfriend when first, I was thinking and I said "Hmm" indicating I was thinking. She rudely replies to that with a smug comment stating she can multitask taking my order while writing the previous drink on my boyfriends cup. After I decided to get my drink ( flat white ), she said the total, I then stated I had partner numbers, she asked for an ID, which I didn't have on me. I had my partner card, conveniently, she almost didn't provide my discount because it wasn't a state ID. Once the transaction was complete, I went to the end of the bar to get the drinks. I see that my tea that was ordered wasn't shaken, which is standard recipe so they were just lazy. Also, my drink I noticed was very light, where flat whites or lattes in general are supposed to be heavy. Then I tried it once I left the store and it was awful. Because of the previous interaction, I didn't feel comfortable asking for a remake, as a partner you should not feel uncomfortable going to another starbucks. I went to the location on the next level and they were displeased with the service I had earlier and happily remade my drink correct. An actual shame.

Susel D.

Yelp
If I could rate it a 0 , I would. Horrible customer service and drink was so disgusting that I had to throw it away. Blah.

Eileen O.

Yelp
Annoying guest in front of me, manager Stacey and the barista had superb awareness to realize that It was taking a long time to get to me.. She took my order and told me that my latte was on her. I didn't complain, she did this on her own. I feel totally appreciated as a guest. Kudos to Stacey and her team and kudos to great frontline trading, Starbucks!

Tommy L.

Yelp
Went there on the weekends and the line was backed up to the entrance, but this isn't the problem I was willing to wait. So, I ordered my drink and waited in line with 6 others in front of me. They were so backed up and the ordered seem to be in a chaos and a cluster, there were a few unclaimed drink sitting on the side. Don't know if the person can't wait anymore and left or just gave up due to the long wait or whatever, but they had a few sitting on the side with no claim. You don't get a receipt or order number so there was no way to prove you paid and for what. Since it was already in a cluster, I notice this Black guy who came after me and stand in line for awhile with everybody and left the line. He came right up to the pick-up stand and claim he been waiting 10 mins for his two drinks and told the cashier/worker what he ordered. The worker looked around and couldn't find his order and bc there was no receipt to prove anything, he order one of the girls in the back to mix it up real quick and then he hand it over to the Black guy. As the Black guy turned around and left, he got this smirk on his face like, I just got some free drinks. I was like WTF? After a while with a few more drink claimed and unclaimed, I finally got mine with my name was written on the cup. I must have been in there for like 20 mins. Like I said, I don't even mind the wait bc when the line is backed up to the entrance it will be busy, its given. What bother me was how unorganized the ordering process was at this location. No receipt, no order number, everybody standing around looking at eachother waiting for their drink and when no one claim a drink everybody just look at eachother in uhhhh and confusion. Starbuck area or division managers, please look into this problem bc honestly who know how long this has been going on.
