Always such a lovely experience with this Starbucks the past years I've lived here. It has the friendliest staff and quick service! Always going out of their way and I loved the note that made my morning when sipping my coffee!

Google
I rarely write bad reviews, but this is by far the worst Starbucks we’ve ever been to. They messed up every single part of our order - our order was 2 normal lattes and 2 pastries (not heated). They added syrups we didn’t request to our lattes, so they had to remake the lattes, and then they forgot our pastries. We reminded them about the pastries and then continued to wait an additional 15 minutes until we decided to leave due to total incompetence. In total, we waited around 30 minutes for our drinks and pastries and ended up just leaving because it was an absolute disaster. Everyone’s order around us was either taking too long or completely messed up. Go to another Starbucks unless you have the time and patience.

Karen R.

Google
Well… it’s Starbucks. There’s a wait… it is what it is. Not good at all, like there was absolutely no sense of urgency or regard for the customers time… but whaddya gonna do? It would have been nice for the Baristas to hustle just a bit more. Expect at least a 30-45 minute wait… which is crazy for one drink… unless you MOBILE ORDER!

Unfortunately, I will no longer be a Starbucks customer. I have always gone to this business for coffee and recieved great service and good coffee. Today, my friend and I went into this Starbucks to ask for a cup of water. We had been marathon training downtown and were very hot and dehydrated. We were told by the employees that they are not allowed to give away a cup of water without a purchase. We did not have our cards on us and we're not able to make a purchase in order to get some water. I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for years and spent many dollars on their coffee. But when I come in and ask for some water on a hot day they do not come through. I will be taking my business to Dunkin in the future and hopefully recieve better customer service.

I live 90 minutes from Chattanooga Tennessee..I always stop at your downtown store ..we arrived b4 noon and your store was out of all the good dessert..

Google
Clean Lobby | Good City Views | Modern There wasn't a thing out of order in the lobby during our visit. There wasn't a wait and the staff waited patiently as we decided. The bathroom was clean. There was an upstairs lounge area that we didn't go up to but it looked like the perfect place to hang out or study away from the main floor where other customers would order. With everything in order, how could I not recommend this Starbucks?

Arik D. B.

Google
This Starbucks is HUGE inside! Great customer service by the ladies at the register. This Starbucks is connected to a hotel.

Nicole C.

Google
This used to be the best Starbucks downtown and every time I get a drink there now it’s messed up. Also, don’t even waste your time ordering anything with cold foam because they will not blend it long enough. It just feels like things have gotten lazy here in the past 6 months.

Yelp
Glad I was able to find a Starbucks in downtown. This place has a really nice interior and its very large inside. The staff was overly friendly.

Yelp
We stayed at The Read House on our trip to Chattanooga this weekend, and the Starbucks experience was definitely worth noting since we frequented it so often during our stay. It's a strange setup, first of all. If you are staying at the Read House, make sure that you realize that the Starbucks also has an entrance on Broad Street for anyone else who wants to come in. We did not realize that, and we came downstairs in our pajamas and with a barefoot six year old since we thought it was a hotel-only setup. The most frustrating part of this Starbucks is that they are forever out of almost everything on the menu, particularly their bakery items. It seems to me like they need to bake bigger batches in anticipation of all of the people staying in the hotel paired with those customers who come from the general area, which is very busy! We of course will continue to go there, especially if we stay there again, but they definitely have room to improve.

Yelp
It's no mystery that Starbucks is by far my favorite stop for coffee and other selections that are spontaneously dictated by my cravings for great coffee. I have visited literally hundreds of Starbucks' location since they've come into existence and although they all seem to be pretty consistence with the quality of the products they offer; the service, quality of the product, wait-time, cleanliness and accessibility of the location are the five points I will rate all of them on going forward - so to make the point I've recently incorporated a rating system based on this short list to calculate the rating of the locations I visit. I feel all these criterions are controllable by the corporation, the franchise owner or store manager. Service - 3 Stars Quality - 5 Stars Wait Time - 1 Stars Cleanliness - 5 Stars Accessibility - 3 Stars Rating - 3.4 Stars Extremely busy location - probably one of the reasons the staff doesn't engage with the customers more than they do, limited street side parking so plan on circling the block a few times...

Yelp
FOOD 5/5 SERVICE 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 * Let me start off by saying that Tonya is a STAR EMPLOYEE! She's the BEST and HARDEST-working employee I've ever met at ANY Starbucks I've ever been to. And her personality just adds that extra charm! Personally, I've had SO MANY good experiences at this specific Starbucks with the phenomenal staff. * - Jessica - makes my drinks so well! It never fails; I could order it 10 times in one day, and she would make it spot on EVERY TIME. * - Jackson and Tristan - have STAR energy and are truly SO funny; they keep me laughing even on a bad day! They never fail to make sure my drink is correct, and they ALWAYS ensure that I am satisfied with my drink before leaving. * - Madison, Alexie, and Victoria - are the SWEETEST women in the whole world! They are so kind; their hearts must be made of gold. I've NEVER walked into that Starbucks and not seen a smile on their faces. They just make my day, every day! They have even memorized my order (along with Tonya, who is still my absolute favorite employee), which makes it so easy to order quickly and feel secure that it's correct every time. * Such a beautiful staff; this place truly has some of the BEST team members.

Yelp
A clean and friendly Starbucks. I came to this Starbucks 3 days in a row during my visit to Chattanooga, and every time I come, I was greeted with a friendly smile and exemplary service. They also remembered my order by my last visit! The space is wide, and it never seems to be busy, so it's the perfect place to work/study/chat. Most importantly, it's very clean so I love it even more!

Yelp
AHH! the environment is so beautiful and the staff is so comforting. i am a new student in town and wanted to try this starbucks rather than one on campus. i originally planned on getting the pumpkin cream cold brew (AKA the best drink on the menu ) but a barista offered me a new drink they have. i think they called it "the great pumpkin". and lord, it was GOOD! it the pumpkin cream cold brew but the foam on top is a sweet matcha foam. listen, i hate matcha. BUT THIS! ugh it's perfect together and doesn't even have the grassy-matcha taste. and he was so kind in offering me to try and i wasn't obligated to pay for it if i didn't like it. honestly, i'm having a really horrible depressive episode today and simply the creativity and time the barista took into testing and perfecting this drink made me smile for the first time in a while. also this starbucks is great in general. this starbucks is worth the commute (and i don't even have a car in this 85° heat!) give this location a try, the area is lovely and the staff is so welcoming compared to other locations (no shade though). check it out and get their special fall drink! will be back.

Yelp
Great coffee long line. They need to do something here to be more productive. 3 workers here and only one of them really working if you ask me. I had to come here because my normal place was closed on Sundays. I don't like the set up either as soon as you get your coffee, there is the exit. So, they want you to get your coffee and leave is the message. Anyway, I enjoyed my grande medium coffee. I got it with nothing in it just how I like it.

Yelp
Recently went to this Starbucks and was less than impressed. The cashiers were being completely unprofessional and clearly un interested in trying to help the customers. The cashier that served us was literally about to fall asleep on the spot and could barely speak correctly. Once we finally moved to the pick-up station (which took forever) we got one of our drinks back and it was wrong. Most of the time it would be fine but as we were standing waiting for it to be re made the baristas were complaining up a storm right next to us (where they could clearly hear us and we could clearly hear them). 2/10 would not recommend.
google avatar

Jonna L.

Yelp
The staff were amazingly friendly here! I was looking at merchandise and had someone come out and greet me and help me out. There was no wait in the line, the options were grand, and the service from the cashier was great. Everyone I saw in the store was working hard. This Starbucks has plenty of seating available which is great, and they have lots of outdoor seating for you to take advantage of as well! I would recommend you visit here if you're in the area and need your coffee fix!

Yelp
I LOVED this Starbucks in Downtown, Chattanooga. I stopped in here three times while attending a legal conference, because this Starbucks was conveniently located in the conference hotel (The Read House). The staff here is absolutely amazing. They exude friendliness and what one would imagine a Starbucks experience to be like. They also made my drink perfectly. I give them two thumbs up.

Yelp
This is a fantastic location to visit, mostly due to the Read Hotel (if you haven't looked around the lobby it's worth seeing). I thought the staff very friendly and as Starbucks goes, very little of the attitude I've come to expect from intown locations in Atlanta. You'll be happy you came by and enjoyed your favorite coffee.
google avatar

Carrie Neal W.

Yelp
So it's a Starbucks. In general, just like you'd expect one to be, especially one at the entry level to a nice hotel (The Sheraton Read House). Worth reviewing for a couple reasons: bigger than many of the freestanding locations (large room to your right coming in the front door pretty much doubles or more the main size), they have all the newest food items sbx has been rolling out at certain locations, like the new breakfast sandwiches, and you can access both their free wifi as well as Sheraton's. The spacing of the counter is a little awkward when there gets to be a line, but it is a decently navigatable space. It's also the only coffee shop downtown except for the local Greyfriar's at 4th and Broad, so there you go for your joe!

Allie H.

Yelp
They are always so slow. If you are going to be located in the downtown area you have to be on top of things. Also they recently started offering order ahead which is a disaster. I have watched four people walk out because they have been waiting so long on their drinks. There are people ordering and getting their drinks before order ahead customers. Do not offer a service that you are unable to fulfill. I am very disappointed.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that I'm an avid starbucks drinker and loyal customer for more than 10 years. While visiting Chattanooga, I decided to stop by this Starbucks to grab my usual double shot and ordered my drink online. After placing the order I realized I placed the mobile order for the wrong location. I asked the frazzled barista if she could honor my order as I placed it at the wrong location. As a past barista for 6 years, I know this is not an out of the ordinary request, but to my surprise her answer was a flat no. She stated they didn't do that and the store would be losing money if she honored it. I decided to not order at this location and call starbucks for a refund. I don't know about the other staff but I will say that Lauren has a poor attitude and should not be helping customers if she can't provide excellent customer service. I'm very dissatisfied with this location.

Yelp
A above normal experience.. Hot sandy. Perfectly made cold brew. Fast line and found parking for the RV! Done done and done.

Shannon C.

Yelp
Wow! How convenient to have a Starbucks in the lobby of your hotel, especially since I am a 2-3-lattes-a-day kind of girl. I even downloaded the app just so I could order from this store since we are here all week. But my very first visit....EXCEPTIONALLY rude service. Four people behind the counter and yet no one greeted me. I went to the designated online order pickup and saw multiple drinks sitting there but no way to identify them. When I asked the girl who rang up my water how to tell if my order was there, she huffed to the pick up area, grabbed a cup and slid down the sleeve. Lo and behold! There was the tiny printed label with my name on it! If only it had occurred to me to pick up every cup sitting there - in the age of pandemic - and sift through them all until I found the two with my name on them. This was the same employee who when ringing up my water barked at me that the card reader was not a touch screen, just as I was about to add a tip as I always try to do for those in the service industry. Oops, I guess I missed it this time.

Yelp
Worst Starbucks I've been to in a long time. Four people unorganized employees, 20 minutes to get a beverage, the line behind me out the front door. They ran out of basic items, I will not return to this location. A new manager is needed.
google avatar

Bethany R.

Yelp
I bought a latte it cost $3.88 (to be expected) and I tipped $1.00. I looked at my bank account a few days later and I had been charged $48.88, along with a $35 pre-authorization.... Corporate Starbucks was unwilling to do anything about it and said I had to talk to this store directly. They took about 2 weeks to finally call back after numerous attempts. They eventually credited my account back the $48.88... but that was it. Latte drinker... beware.
google avatar

Chelsea D.

Yelp
Everyone knows what Starbucks is and what they have to offer so I'll make this short and sweet. There is no parking as its located inside a hotel so rely on street parking or maybe try the garage (and pay for it?). The line is hit or miss.... I could go in at 8:00am on the dot and sometimes have no line and sometimes have 12 people ahead of me. The barista's are friendly enough, I'm not really a morning talker so I dont mind if they don't start up conversations with me. The layout of the ordering line and people getting their order and leaving is really cramped but since they are inside the hotel (that I think is historic) they probaby can't do much about the layout...but it would be nice if they could! Biggest complaint is that they aren't an official Starbucks somehow so although you can pay with your Starbucks app, you can't redeem drink rewards here.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
I love stopping by this Starbucks on my way anywhere! Gabrielle is always so kind and has a positive energy. Love seeing him at the start of my day.
google avatar

Chad S.

Yelp
One of those downtown locations with very poor parking, but probably a lot of walk-in traffic here so that is understandable. However, the line was very long, and took a very long time. Many, many Starbucks are very busy nearly all day long but most deliver the drinks in a timely manner. This took about 2-3 time longer than most Starbucks would with the same customer traffic. Drinks were acceptable, but not up to the service standard I am used to for Starbucks. The area around seemed kind of run down too. Hopefully Starbucks will read some of the other reviews as it seems most people had the same issue: a long line.
google avatar

Andrew K.

Yelp
This starbucks is almost the same as all the other ones i've been to. The staff has been friendly and nice every time I've been. The drinks taste as they should as do the patries - so quality control seems to be going well on the edibles. The staff will make the normal on-menu items as well as the off-menu ones like the Green Tea frap, etc. Things are going well so far..., but... The main downsides that are pushing me away from this Starbucks are... The internet here isn't reliable - it's really pretty bad. This isn't good if you need to do work/studying that relies on net connectivity. I really hope Starbucks and the Sheraton figure out their network problems so I can make more use of this location. They close at 9pm on every night except for Fri/Sat, where you'll find this Starbucks open till 9:30, which seems a bit early.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Unfortunate that they do not have Nitro Cold Brew. I've gone a few times hoping they would have added it to the menu. There are enough shops in town that have a Nitro Cold Brew to satisfy that craving. Blonde Espresso is great. Nice to finally welcome Starbucks to the world of lighter roasted espresso. Welcome to the 21st century.

Traveler D.

Yelp
Really great location and perks. This is a very nice 'bucks. Only problem: they close too early.
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
I love this location--friendly staff, lots of seating, regular quality of Starbucks products. My only complaint is one they cannot control--lack of parking in downtown Chattanooga. The music can be a bit loud; I like to sit at the bar in the window, and the speaker is too close. But I love the windows on Broad too much to sit elsewhere. As close to the feeling of having a cup of coffee in a real city as you can get in Chattanooga.

Al H.

Yelp
While they are currently closed the staff there is SUPER nice and give great service. I typically just get regular coffee or occasional a pastry. I am looking forward to them opening back soon.
google avatar

Molly C.

Yelp
Definite improvements from the old store to this newly renovated one. However, they seem to always be out of something when you try to order in. Also, on multiple occasions, they have screwed up drinks for me. Starbucks should be consistent, but this one is not.

Bo B.

Yelp
This is THE MOST CONSISTENT location in Chattanooga. Not only is my drink, Salted Sweet-cream Cold Foam Cold brew, always great, the entire staff is always friendly and pleasant. I'm pretty sure I'll visit this location everyday. I hope the right people see this, because they deserve recognition. Awesome job guys and gals!
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Why is it so COLD in here? It was freezing before the renovations and it's freezing now. It's 90 degrees outside and you need a jacket to sit next n Starbucks. I like AC in the summer, but this place is past the point of comfortable, after 20 mins, you'll be painful chilled. I even heard a customer tell the staff how cold it was and they said it was just how it was as if that's some kind of reasoning.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Coffee is what you expect from a Starbucks. BUT, I hate the service every time I go. Very unfriendly and uninterested in being there
google avatar

Nise F.

Yelp
This location ROCKS! They are always so efficient and friendly. Sometimes the line can be long but it moves by pretty fast. The baristas are always so friendly and approachable. They make visiting that location worth it. Another thing I like about this location is that you never know who you might see. That is a good thing. I love seeing people in the community in a coffee shop having conversations.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
This may be the worst Starbucks in America. Sadly it is the only one in downtown Chattanooga, where I live. I drive 25 minutes to the burbs in order to avoid this place but sometimes I don't have enough time and stop in at the broad street Starbucks and without fail it is a terrible experience every single time. Today was no different, they were unable to take Starbucks gift cards which 3 days after Christmas is kind of a big deal but I tried to let it go. I still had issues at the register and while I was waiting for the cashier to fix the issue the barista was incessantly calling my name in an annoyed manner... then my husbands drink was wrong and instead of saying oh sorry I will fix it, the manager said well the drink I made is similar to the one you wanted... I asked him to make me the drink I ordered, not a similar one. The barista realized how poor the service was and gave me a free drink voucher which is a first for me at this Starbucks. I then got home to decompress from a stressful experience and took my first sip of my white chocolate mocha only to find that it was a mocha which as the manager may argue is similar... but sir it is not the same. :(
google avatar

Kristen J.

Yelp
Recent renovation! Excellent staff, far exceed expectations of other coffee shops in town!

Laura W.

Yelp
Awful service. We asked for 5 different pieces of pastries/bagels and they were out of all of them. Drinks came out cold. There also seemed to be an employee not on duty that was just standing there distracting the other employees from their work. She listened in on my conversation (even though she wasn't included in on it??) and started explain how everything i said was wrong. I've been to a lot of Starbucks stores but this was by far the worst. Terrible experience.

Yelp
Starbucks always gets 5 stars in my book! This Starbucks is inside the Sheraton. I wasn't staying at the Sheraton and I'm usually not fond of hotel Starbucks', however, I enjoyed this one. I'm not sure if it was the nice vibe it had or the fact that it was the only Starbucks I could find in downtown Chattanooga and discovering it was like finding water in the desert. Plus, I needed a little quality time with their WiFi. This location is quite large with a lot of seating and huge windows along one side. I was only visiting Chattanooga, so I can't say for sure that I'll get to visit again, but if I frequented the area this place could easily turn into a regular coffee refueling spot for me.
google avatar

Vonda D.

Yelp
Its starbucks, need I say more? They always get it right. The line wasn't long and it moved quickly. Plus it was within walking distance from my hotel!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks, right? Yeah...but this place is HUGE!!! You can have like a mini convention in this joint!! With that said, the coffee was good, the atmosphere was clean, the staff was nice.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
Starbucks in your hotel lobby is pretty cool. The Starbucks is attached to the historic Read House Hotel. The medium roast coffee started our days off right! We will enjoy a cup of coffee from here at our next stay at the Read House!
google avatar

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Horrible service. These folks take NO RESPONSIBILITY when they error. Ordered my fav Starbucks beverage, paid for it and received a cup w/my name on it. When I returned to my office, after a 6 block walk, I discovered that I'd received someone else's order. Called the store to report the error and was told that I "TOOK'" the wrong drink. And when I returned with both my receipt and the drink, I received my new drink with NO APOLOGY. In fact, the barista remarked "this happens all the time" and that I "shouldn't worry about it". I shared with him that his error inconvenienced me and he simply shrugged his shoulders and presented my coffee with a cheery "here you go". I'm done with this place. Fortunately Chattanooga has wonderful coffee shops that treat customers with respect and those are the ones that I will patronize exclusively.

PJ G.

Yelp
This is my first time here and I am already know this place is suck, customer service its like ok I don't need your business
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
It's Starbucks, right? Well, this one is about the PEOPLE. Yes, they occasionally mess up my drinks, but I have always had it corrected immediately and without complaint. They have some amazing people on staff, Cristian, Noelle, Aimee, Jonathan, and Pam, Tessa and Greg. The counter set-up leaves something to be desired and they can be a little slow in general, but overall, the service and quality make up for it. Ask them about a Chunky Buddah!

Claire M.

Yelp
The peppermint hot chocolate was a go. Apparently, we know how to accomplish a tall latte upside down....however, we need some work on the venti. #warmmilk #noespresso And the line really confused us this early in the morning.

Kelley S.

Yelp
Yikes. As a Starbucks enthusiast I was really disappointed with this location. They made me the wrong drink and my breakfast sandwich was cold to the touch on the inside. I asked them to remake the drink which was good on the second time around. However, my breakfast sandwich still wasn't hot on the inside. I ended up just taking the sausage and egg off because I had to go. Also, this place is super busy and loud. They call your order when it's ready (apparently)but no one can hear what they are saying. Very confusing for the customers. The next Morning I just made coffee in my hotel room and avoided the frustration.

Louisa R.

Yelp
Waited in line forever to use my free birthday reward. The rude chick at the checkout unapologetically said they don't accept rewards at this location. What Starbucks does not accept rewards? Worst Starbucks ever
google avatar

Joslyn W.

Yelp
This is my go-to store on Broad Street in Chattanooga and usually the baristas are very nice and warm. Today, was not the case. I understand there was a long line due to the influx of people in town for various events this weekend. That did not bother me at all. However, the barista that took my simple order, repeated it back incorrectly and moved on. I asked my cashier to make sure it was correct and she did. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich. The same barista that took my order made the sandwich and announced it for pick up. I raised my hand but the guy that ordered after me took it. When she announced his correct sandwich, she looked at me and I told her I had the other one. She rolled her eyes and went back to make me the correct one. When it was done, she brought it over, didn't announce what kind it was so I just assumed it was mine when she threw it across the counter at me. I have seen her multiple times working and she doesn't seem to be enjoying her job as she never looks happy and is not very friendly. So sorry I wasted your time but if you can't handle your job, maybe a position that doesn't call for so much of your energy would better suit you.

Corey P.

Yelp
Love this Starbucks location. The barista, Ashley, that made my drink was such a genuine, sweet, friendly worker. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work guys!
