Starbucks

I didn't know that Starbucks had changed the policy that we have to order something to stay there. Yesterday, I was there and came a brown lady with an angry face telling me I need to consume something to stay there. I really didn't like the way she was expressing and looking to me. Very uncomfortable moment, I had to go. I understand their new policies but expressing with respect give a nice service to the customers!

I feel like Starbucks should maintain a high standard when it comes to friendliness and taking orders correctly. Today I had a Hispanic lady charge me for the wrong order. She then took close to 10minutes to process the refund and at no point apologized. If anything she made it seem like it was my fault for not confirming the order? I would think they have a system or repeating the order or taking names for orders - well she didn’t.

Usually in here pretty early in the A.M., so getting my order is never a problem, however the music can be a bit loud for that time of day. Other than that no complaints.

Today I placed a mobile order on Cicero Ave. I didn’t realize there are two Cicero locations and I ordered it accidentally to the other one. Anyways I came to this location and showed my receipt and they just said „nope that’s not our location“. I was in a huge rush to get to work but they said they can’t give me my coffee, only if I pay again. I had to drive a 30 min detour to get my coffee. Where is the goodwill? Where is customer service? I’m so disappointed. It doesn’t hurt them to make one extra coffee but it does hurt some people with not the greatest financial means to pay a second Starbucks. I don’t know if I’ll come back. This was supposed to be a treat for me but it turned out to be a nightmare.

Friendly staff. But it was very noisy and there were not enough seats with chargers. The layout with the high tables in the middle isn't very inviting. I'd recommend putting a long table with access to a few outlets for individuals wanting to do a little work.

Everyone at this store are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Veronica, Rueben, Kailyn, Leslie, Louis, Aliah, Elle, Ana, Emilia, Laura and the rest of the team are like no other Starbucks or Independent coffee shop in the city. They are top notch when it comes to service and putting a little personality behind it. It's nice to see that this place is consistent with the service and with keeping employees through Covid and still today.

This was off the worse Starbucks, not sure why I keep coming to this location and leave them my money. This is the third time I order through the App mobile thinking the service would be faster they took 20 minutes to make 2 drinks, it was 2 times that I leave without my money and without any drinks that were paid for. Their excuse always is that they have too many orders, they should be thankful they have costumers coming.

Bad drink experience, just not up to regular standards, my drinks were mediocre at best... might as well elsewhere, oh BTW, made me go around the drive thru to get in line again for a forgotten order, not cool.

Might of been luck of the draw but had a pleasant experience. For one, they have a drive thru which makes life, covid avoidance and overall social anxiety that much easier to manage. No line ! One car ahead of me and didn't take too long. I felt overwhelmed and asked if they had any suggestions outside of my basic go-tos. She was super friendly and helpful. By the time I got to the window, they already had a second drink made by accident and offered it to me for free. I call it a lucky day but I haven't had any bad experiences here before either. There was a time when (pre lockdown days) where I'd crash here for a few hours trying to study or applying for jobs. Good vibes all around.

Great space and nice outdoor space. Coffee is, it's well Starbucks. This place has to stay on top of their bathrooms. And sometimes smokers sit in the patio space puffing away. Unpleasant, if you like fresh air.

The people working here are just the nicest and most understanding people, especially Ruben! Location is top notch since it's fairly close walk to our home. I usually hang out to study and their playlist is great!

Closest Starbucks to me with a drive thru so automatically a huge bonus for me. I come here pretty consistently and they've never messed up my drink, and the staff has all been super friendly. Feel like the current reviews/rating doesn't really do this location justice. Some Starbucks drive-thrus feel like purgatory with the wait times but they're always good about getting people through in a timely manner. The entrance can be a bit awkward if it's particularly packed though. Overall, glad that this is my go to location.

Michael who took my phone order was awesome for doing me a favor since I was running late. It's the closest Starbucks to my office the only problem is getting back on Butterfield going south.... It's like maneuvering traffic in a video game. Ha!ha!

My review may seem really petty but I shall proceed. I understand we're trying to go straw-less but some drinks require a straw. I ordered a Frap via UberEats and again, I received it without a straw. At least offer an alternative, I mean there's a hole for a straw. It didn't have the sippy cup lid. This is at least the 20th time this has happened, no matter what drink I order. It's really annoying. Starbucks, perhaps place the straws in the bag the day before, so you don't forget.

Love this drive thru. Whenever we're going down Cicero this is a convenient location. Easy in and out and never any issues.

This is the 3 time I stop by this Starbucks and honestly I don't know why I keep coming to this location. Every time I place my order whether it's drive thru or mobile they always mess up! Please take it easy with the cream! I always ask them to remake my order because an iced shaken espresso ends up tasting just like milk no coffee. And yes I always ask for a light splash of cream :(

Good drinks and nice staff but not a great layout - the place is crowded all the time, sometimes with the drive thru line going well out into the street. That's not necessarily the staff's problem as they've been working super fast when I've gone in, but it's something to know if you're visiting in a hurry. Try off peak hours for in and out service.

Horrible I came at 9:30pm because it said it was open until 10:00pm and I arrive and no one was there. The door was closed and there were cones blocking the drive threw terrible hours of operation.

Stephanie needs to not be taking orders in the drive through. She probably shouldn't be taking orders period. She's too soft spoken. Can't hear a word she says.

Honestly this Starbucks is a struggle. Every time I order here it is rough and 9-10. The one on Irving is 100 percent better from quality of beverages to customer service. Just got home from ordering drive-thru and super disappointed to discover my venti is only two thirds full. This happens here regularly and is just such a bummer. I'm surprised this store passes any Starbucks standards to be honest.

Ok service. Really declined after Russell left. I went in for an iced latte today and apparently they have this new milk pourer thing. I was curious and watched my drink being made thinking "wow cool!" Then I saw the girl refill the machine. THE MILK COMES IN BAGS NOW THERE. GROSS. DISGUSTING. I didnt want to be that person so I went and bought another iced latte with coconut milk (after the cashier reassured me coconut milk wasn't in the machine) Will not be returning to this starbucks until they come to their senses and replace this milk machine. I'm all for innovation but what problem is this milk machine fixing? Are the baristas too lazy to pour their own milk now? Thank god there's a starbucks on every corner it seems like now. Won't have to sacrifice my coffee because I don't drink milk out of a bag like an animal. Perhaps Russell knew this thing was coming and high tailed it out of there.

The Drive-Thru Barista Kimberly is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been going to this Starbucks for the past few years and this has been by far the worst experience. She has no customer service nor patience to assist. 1/27/2023

I requested to lower the music that was too high and the attendant said that don't control the volume. I was taking a training and can't hear what they were saying. MVELEZ

This place has the worst staff. They can't get an order right for anything. They constantly mess up my order. I have tried multiple times to give me a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance, and EVERY time it never fails. If I'm paying $5 for a coffee, and have to wait 20 minutes in the drive through, at least get it right. I get the same thing every time, and it's not even complicated. I just get a iced vanilla latte with soy milk. I've had them use almond, and regular (which made me sick) and now this time they forgot the vanilla syrup, even after repeating it back to me. This place needs a whole new staff.

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Consistently slow service. Always out of items. Backed up into the street. Average wait time between 15 and 35 minutes. The only positive is that the staff, while often failing at problem solving, is cordial.

Great layout and location for another Starbucks! The outdoor patio seems cool as far as the layout and the interior is cool too. I've done the drive-thru a few times and not sure why buy they are always trying to sell me the extra shot on my drinks! (lol) Drive-thru service has been slow most of the time but i'm sure given it is new they are trying to work things out internally. My drinks have always been good so I will continue to come here since it is the closest one to me!

Finally OPEN! This is what heaven is like, right? This Starbucks shop does have drive-thru and includes an outdoor patio and a public space with benches. Friendly staff, good coffee and overall, a great addition to Portage Park.

This is the closest location to me, so I continue to try it out, always fails. Waiting 37min in drive thru now because it's a one way line and once you're in, there's no way out. A Starbucks fix won't do the job anymore, I needed it 40minutes ago. Still waiting ...hopefully an hour later, my order will be right (it hasn't been 4/5 times I've come). Lesson learned. Needed to come back to add..my order IS wrong.

4 people working zero people in front of me but still ridiculous wait time. Probably due to drive through. Drive through is always ridiculous so thought I'd try going inside this time. Just as bad line wasn't long nobody in front of me. I've been her 12 min as of now. They keep calling out drinks that nobody is picking up. Need more staff or to make drinks in the order they are received. Nevermind the music blasting that isn't even English. The server couldn't even here the customer talking to her. 14 minutes now..

I am just appalled by the customer service of this location!! I ordered "off the menu" as I always do, and the staff was unwilling to work with me! Either they need more training or new staff!! I will never go to this location again. Check your drink before you drive off, as they always get it wrong!!

I always go in the morning before work and Russell is so nice and cheery, he recommends different sandwiches and always starts my morning off right! Drive-thru is speedy fast, more so than the other Starbucks drive-thru locations I've been to. This location is my go-to location! I recommend the hot White chocolate Mocha with EXTRA whip cream and the coffee cake is tasty too.

This location is extremely slow even with nobody in line. It also never fails that they'll make a mistake with my order. It's the closest one to me on the way to work so it's convenient but never fails to disappoint every time. I'd rather take a different route to go to a different location.

I love Starbucks. However the service at this location is incredibly slow. They take precedent for the people in the drive threw line. It took 15 minutes to get a iced coffee and hot chocolate. Also some of the staff are very rude and have a negative attitude. Although it is the closest Starbucks to my home I choose to go to other locations. Really disappointing.

Patio door was filthy. Went at noon, so store was not busy and service was slow. Also, returned my mocha cookie crumble as it was too chocolatey. Staff did a good job replacing my drink as fast as possible, though! This starbucks doesn't have a pokestop and a pokestop would have made the wait time worth it. Request for a pokestop! Edit: i noticed this starbucks doesnt have a recycling can available. Took another star off for this reason. Request for a recycling bin!

This Starbucks used to have such a great staff but now it is so bad every time. If I go five times they mess up my drink three. I cannot have dairy and they routinely make my drink with dairy and it makes me sick. For some reason they don't ring in the orders as you order them, which maybe accounts for all the mistakes. If I could verify they rang it in right, it might come out right. The line is always really long so to go back and try and get a remake because the drink they made you would actually make you sick means you could easily be in a Starbucks drive thru for an hour. Also, even if I am lucky enough to get the drink I ordered the quality is very bad. I typically get a flat white... they bubble it- this isn't foam and certainly not what a flat white should taste like. I try to avoid this Starbucks but it's typically on the way to work so it's hard.

I work for an office where my co-workers and myself go for a Starbucks run on a regular basis. The complaint I'm having it's the inconsistency when making our drinks. Several of us get pumpkin cream cold brews, even though we order exactly the same they're all different in the same order. It always happens that some come with the pumpkin spice topping and some don't, and they're all supposed to be exactly the same. Which is quite annoying. It's not only this location it's seems, like it happens in all of them. It has happens so often that I'm sitting here writing reviews for the issue.

Literally every single time to go in they mess up my order. I'm not even sure how but it's NEVER correct. Then when I go back to fix it. They mess that one up too. I don't order anything complicated, I order literally what's on the menu no alternations. Bummer this Starbucks is trash.

Very good service, good food, aloof and inconsiderate patrons - you're all a buncha tablehogs! It's off-peak hour, less than half full, yet one or two people have cluttered up a whole space for four, all the way down the line. My wife and I had to settle for 2 low chairs in the corner, eating off of our laps. And 15ft. away a dude with a laptop is staring a hole through me. What's your stigma?!

The only reason I come to this Starbucks is because it has a drive thru but the customer service is terrible, they are always rude and talk down to customers and always get drinks wrong. Expect to wait a very long time every time you come here. We kept giving them chances because we liked the drive thru. But honestly, I rather get out of the car and get better service on the other nearby Starbucks.

This Starbucks is very nice. But don't try coming here to do homework, lack of outlets for your charger and the lady who works here Jesus, does she make it a point that you have an hour left to get out! Second time I'm here and I find her to be so rude. She drags all the chairs on the floor not letting anyone have a conversation. She just seems miserable so beware for workers, students and just those who want to have a nice conversation.

I love this Starbucks!!! The service is always great, whether I'm going through the drive thru or ordering inside they are always so kind and cheerful. The atmosphere and ambiance is spectacular. I love the large open and bright space, it's one of the nicest Starbucks I've ever been to! The beautiful outdoor seating area and pergola are so nice. I am so fortunate that this Starbucks opened up near me and they have done a perfect job with it.

Slowest. Drive-thru. Everrrrrrr. Unbelievably slow. Just go inside or save yourself the aggravation altogether and go to the Starbucks on Irving Park that's just a short distance away. They weren't busy inside, we were in the drive thru for 20 minutes and they still managed to mess my drink up. Then when they "fixed" it, it was still trash.

As always a looong line in drive thru. The additudes are hit or miss. Sometimes super friendly and most times rude unfriendly and you are made to feel your disturbing them. I do t know what gives at this location i only come here when i absolutely have too. Ugg actually today i showed up 5 min before they opened and they where just standing around waiting for the very last seconds to open up. I mean i get it but to wait to 5 am on the dot is a bit much.

SO GLAD to FINALLY have a Starbucks in the neighborhood!!! About time! I've been here several times since they opened. I've done the drive-thru every time. ALL of the employees that I have encountered have been super friendly & have great personalities! GREAT addition to the neighborhood!

I was so happy to see this Starbucks being built. However, I started coming here and it never fails, EVERY SINGLE time I come they never have anything to offer. What do I mean by that? Well, today we came through the drive through, they asked for our order. To then tell us that no food we would like is available because they were sold out of every single sandwich and every single pastry. Um, how is that even possible? It's not even 12 Noon on a Sunday! I know this Starbucks gets a lot of business because it's ALWAYS got a line in the drive thru, but my goodness their management needs to get it together. This IS NOT the first time we have encountered the "we are SOLD OUT sorry" story, which again sounds absurd to me. If the demand is consistently high, order accordingly. Our business went elsewhere cause they don't have any food to offer to eat with coffee. Again!

10 people behind the counter, all too busy playing social club to pour a small cup of coffee. Bad spot to go if you're in a rush.

When you go inside because the drive thru line is to the street and the drive thru line get cleared before they even look at you, that seems like an issue. No oatmeal for me today despite spending $12.

These people cannot get my drink right. Due to corona virus I alway order a Grande red eye with NOOO STOPPERS. They mess up my drink at least TWICE A WEEK. With this virus going on. I don't want people touching my stopper and putting it in my drink.

Excellent location! Stopped by while I was in the area and I was surprised to this new new Starbucks. Friendly staff and delicious coffee as always.

Every time we go through the drive-thru the employee that helps us out is always so kind and happy! Had an awful start to my morning but stopped at this location for a chai tea latte and a pastry at 6 am and the employee was so positive and up lifting ! Made my whole day better!

This was my to-go Starbucks but the last time I went they messed up my order 3 times and the only reason I took it the last time was because it looked right.I called the store after they had me wait in the line for 15 minutes because they couldn't make a drink correctly & the shift answered clearly did not care about the situation so much for customer connection.

RUSSELL SHOULD BE PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD! Best barista in the land of Starbucks and needs a raise, a high five, and a lifetime supply of his favorite latte. Always is so personable, cheerful, and gets my morning going. I could not care less if my bacon Gouda sandwich is out of stock (he always has a pun for this sandwich, for example "Badda news about the Gouda" when they had run out). All of my friends and family know about Russell and how excited I get when he hands me my coffee in the morning. Yay Cicero Starbucks!

Went and tried to order a special drink. As soon as I pull up to the window a rude KAITLYN did not even greet ima friendly manner. Just plainly said "go ahead with your order" I asked if I can show her a video of the special drink and rudely cut me off to say "we don't take special drink orders. What is it a video or something? What do we look like taking orders for special drinks we don't do that" well KAITLYN maybe you shouldn't have chosen a barista job. I rolled up my window and proceeded to drive off as I did not want KAITLYN to make my drink. As I drive by the window she gives this stank ass look like she could do something behind a window. POIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DIRTY. Tried to call for management 3 TIMES & never answered. WORST STARBUCKS AND TERRIBLE BARISTA KAITLYN. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The service was horrible!! I had went through drive thru, I had to repeat myself more than 5 times. I had an other for a pick up, they completely messed up all my drinks! Didn't follow how I placed my order. Every time I go they do this.
