After a 5:30 AM workout and a long workday ahead, the iced brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso--whew, that's a mouthful--was exactly what I needed to get through the morning. It's one of the new summer items, and it did not disappoint. As always, I avoided the long drive thru line by ordering inside.
As expected, the store was nearly empty that early, so service was quick. I ordered a venti (definitely more than I needed), but it powered me through a productive day. I asked the barista whether this drink was sweeter than the horchata version, and they said the oat milk one was. To me, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet at all, which made it easy to sip throughout the morning.
This particular Starbucks is spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with warm wooden tables, moody lighting, and vibrant, nature-inspired wall art that gives the space personality. I especially loved the colorful floral and jungle prints that made it feel a little more personal than your average chain café.
What makes it even better is how quiet and well-kept it is (ideal for anyone looking to study, plan, or just reset early in the morning or late at night). There are plenty of seating options, from cozy two-tops to larger group tables and even some comfy bench seating with a view of the windows. It's also open late, which isn't always easy to find in Houston.
Whether you're starting the day with a jolt of caffeine or need a calm, well-lit place to get focused, this Starbucks gives you space, consistency, and the ambiance to stay productive.
