Starbucks

I have been coming to this Starbucks for two years, buying something and eating here. But today, when I asked for the restroom code just to use the restroom, they told me that non-customers are not allowed. However, I am a regular customer. It just doesn’t make sense to me that I can’t use this restaurant’s restroom just because I didn’t buy something at this exact moment. Procedures can sometimes be unreasonable. Just wanted to point that out. As long as we spend money here, we should be considered customers and have access to its amenities.

The new compostable coffee lids are worthless. In the 3 minute drive home my hand was splashed with turbulent hot liquid and my cupholder was full of tea. I will legitimately not be returning for a takeout coffee if there isnt a better solution.

Located on the southeast corner of the Waterside Marina del Rey Shopping Mall (outdoor) close to Fiji Way. Friendly staff, plenty of indoor seating, and limited outdoor seating. Several early morning deals include a grande specialty drink and pastry (depends on time of month). Friendly customers. Rear entrance as well.

Quick service, standard Starbucks taste. Lot of seating space inside. Friendly staff. Nice music playing here. Can relax if you get tired from shopping around the area.

For V 5000 and H in the yellow apron. They know how to run things. But here's the part where I get to be me. 😎 Sometimes I can be the worst person to complain in person because I am extra into freedom. Yes I can be smiley, and happy and cool while also not liking everything for the comfort of others feelings. I've lived that life so I offer a trade. 5 stars for the good ones and I move along to my next spot because I love a good disappearing act. ✌️

Friendliest staff. Very accommodating. Too many problems with homeless people unfortunately

I’m walking from Tijuana to Canada. Documenting my journey as I walk battling chronic pain. Starbucks is One of like THE ONLY places I can sit and deal with backing up videos, dealing with social media posts and updates…while charging up my electronics and having a coffee. This Starbucks removed the outlets. This Starbucks would prefer I go to another coffee shop. This Starbucks doesn’t want my money. And they did not get it. And No the outlets on the lampposts don’t freakin work either. I’ve been in many many Starbucks up and down the west coast 6,800 miles I’ve walked so far. Starbucks USED to be one of my helpers. Help keep me and my electronics charged on the walk. Thank you Starbucks for helping to make a difficult journey even more difficult. Thanks

Nice location, near Amazon Books, pick up and drop off. Tried Cinnamon shortbread latte and not too sweet. Fast service. Nice attitude from the team

This Starbucks is pretty cool, mainly because of the outdoor seating and amazing customer service. I had a moment here that really stuck with me: I came in for a to-go order, and while I was waiting, my Chipotle bag broke from the bottom--guacamole disaster all over the floor. I was mortified and rushed back to Chipotle to get my food replaced. When I returned, the Starbucks employees had already cleaned up the mess and even offered supportive words. More recently, I stopped in during the holidays and was curious about the Caramel Brulee Latte but worried it might be too sweet. One of the baristas overheard me, came over to the register, and suggested a tweak to make it less sweet. She nailed it--it was perfect! The inside is nothing spectacular, but I like how spacious the entryway feels. Overall, it's the customer service and those thoughtful touches that make this Starbucks stand out. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to this location for many many years and get some seriously rude behavior and lack of customer service and professionalism when I ask a question I get cold rushed often rude replies a lot of the time, minus a few very nice staff but it's ridiculous and I spend good money. I am made to feel consistently dismissed and I just tried something new which I didn't like and simply try to ask for an added few shots of flavor because I only had 3 in a vente which gets 5. And, I didn't even ask him to remake it but he the. says he's gonna have charge me, with a sour miserable reaction & attitude. I don't like it at all sadly and having been sick a week & really wanted something good since I haven't been able to have coffee. And this is what I get. !!!?? He wasn't listening but rushing, and I said a shot of vanilla first then he said blonde and I didn't want more espresso I wanted to mask the pecan I didn't like. With the flavor of vanilla! He didn't at all ask me to remake it which would have been better and usually most would do. But instead brushed me off embarrassing me in front of other customers who teamed up as if I was asking for more espresso. Which I said I WAS NOT!!! I said the pumps, cause I only got 3. And it comes with 5! It became a thing and I'm pissed. No wonder Starbucks is loosing customers and business. SMH they charge sooo much and you get rude staff who don't care to make a customer happy who pays daily these high rates and they don't even care. I am local and always nice but service is sometimes slow and ridiculously rude! Over 7yrs been coming here and still people don't know my name. Or seem to welcome me or smile. I'm sorry if you hate your jobs. But not being inviting to smile genuine or be welcoming feels white whack!!!. It's not cool. The women and few that are nice I tip and I really appreciate and show them with respect, talk and smiles but this was NOT COOL. Making it like I was trying to be cheap asking for free shots of espresso. Which was NOT what I asked for. I said I don't like the flavor. Can you maybe pls add vanilla to mask the pecan flavor. ;(( Then it became about blonde shots and he kept saying I have to charge you!.??.... SMH I won't be coming back here if ever. And I live here. Smh I simply tried something and didn't like it. I didn't want to 'not like it'. Jesus! SMH Ridiculous! Not to mention I waited standing there 4mins til I could get his attention to ask for a little adjustment kindly. Then he has the nerve to tell me if I'm gonna have attitude I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. Wow!!!!!! He gave me the vanilla and I threw in my cup oissed yes. But making a scene with other men also who didn't listen either to interfere was no bueno. Unreal!!!! If you did your job and acted respectful and didn't disrespect me and slowed down to actually hear me and be nice. I wouldn't have been disappointed at all. So wrong! I'm so done wit this Starbucks. Train your staff to be nice to customers man. Unacceptable. And I wasn't even asking for a remake. Wow!!!! I've spent sooo much money here. NOT ANYMORE!

I love the chill vibes here. Super awesome staff. Down to Earth and really friendly when I just need to wake up for breakfast and drinks or get a nice afternoon pick me up. The music here makes me feel like I'm home away from home so that I can stay longer if I want to study or just chill but mostly I just order and go about my day.

This is my hometown place. Well my new hometown place. I've lived in Marina Del Rey now for more than 3 years. I have seen this place go back and forth from great service to not so great depending on who they're hiring. Having been in the show business world and the food service hospitality industry I know how important it is to leave customers with a smile. There have been times where this place hasn't hired people that cared about the customer experience. But right now they have a great crew of people that seem to really work hard. This Starbucks also has a lot of room to sit and it's nice and relaxing to be in there. The only thing that's not great is that it doesn't have any plugs anymore so you cannot plug in your laptop or your phone. So many others Starbucks have that feature and it's much more welcoming to people who need to do some quiet work. Who wants to run out of charge? It's not a great decision by management. Their decorations on the wall are nice very apropos to the area. They used to have a joke of the day as well and that was fun. I haven't seen it for a couple of times now but it's fun to go and ask the baristas the question Today I was waited on by Alessandro. I haven't seen him before but he has an easy smile that puts people in a good mood and he's just really friendly and professional and easygoing which I really like. He had a musician performer vibe but was totally focusing on the customers in a very welcoming way. I didn't have a big order today just a venti Americano some ice water and some oatmeal. I love that they put all of the extras on the side for the oatmeal. There are mixed nuts, fruit which is dried, and brown sugar which I'm not using. Even though it's yummy lol. The only thing I would add is cinnamon I put cinnamon in everything. The vibe was great today and everybody was getting waited on in a timely manner which was wonderful everything was running smoothly. I sat there for a while with my little dog and did some writing. It's noisy in there but it's not so noisy that it's distracting it kind of helps you to just focus if you want to. I hope this Starbucks stays just like this. With employees like Alessandro.. and the peppy manager the rest of the crew I think their choices of staff are great. I'm going to get more of their names next time and post them there's this one girl with long black curly hair always goes the extra mile with a warm smile. I have seen this place go through good and bad staff and I'm happy right now that customer service seems to be a higher priority. I love how they greet people when you come in they always say Welcome!

I've never been to Starbucks that has samples, so I was delighted to see samples of coffee cake and chai latte in cute little sample cups when I first walked in. Customer service here is also great. Not rude and go out of their way to help. Excellent location!

Starbucks = poisen. Save yourself. Did you know that Starbucks uses ingredients that are scarier than bugs and could even be harmful to your health? That's where the real sabotage begins. 1) You might think it is a bit radical to suggest not drinking their most prized ingredient that makes over 85,000 different combination of drinks, but it's also radical drinking and paying a premium for coffee that's ridden with potential toxins. You could be drinking toxins from pesticides that are in fact banned here in the United States but not else where, like the pesticide Chlorpyrifos that is a contact poison. It has caused human deaths, and has been linked to birth defects. It is extremely toxic to birds, freshwater and marine organisms, bees and other wildlife. Soy Latte (or anything else with Starbucks organic soy milk) Logically, it makes sense to choose organic soy milk, since Starbucks decided to eliminate organic cow's milk as an option a few years ago. But not so fast. Starbucks organic soy milk has one ingredient they would rather you not know about. This ingredient was recently highlighted in a report generated by the Cornucopia Institute and echoed in a recent NYTimes article about non-organic ingredients allowed in organic food. One of those questionable ingredients is carrageenan, which is derived from seaweed and is in Starbucks branded organic soy milk. This substance is reported to cause intestinal inflammation and can be become a carcinogen once it is digested.

Really bad customer service from here from one of the mangers she was horrible unprofessional and wouldn't help. Never going to this Starbucks location ever again!

August 14, 2023 Marina del Rey: Quick, friendly & service with a smile! Thanks again for making an excellent cup of iced Chai Tea Latte, alongside my warm Cheese Danish; perfect & yum! Sat outside at a table for a bit to eat, drink & enjoy the scenery!

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Took about 25 mins for them to make my latte. I ordered it iced, they made it hot. Had to remake and then once I got in the car, realized they had given me the wrong drink. Dysfunctional

Shout out to this Starbucks location! One of the very few around that actually care about their customers. Although I don't come here very often, when I do I am never let unsatisfied or unhappy. Young man in charge & younger woman who both are usually there early mornings never fail to make my days just a little bit brighter, as well as the rest of the morning employees there! Definitely check out this location for good coffee and nice vibes.

This location is constantly screwing up orders. This is the third time I order a Frappuccino double blended with no whip cream for my daughter and they add whip cream and don't double blend !! Are they intentionally not reading the order because it's always the same issue! Today my husband also ordered a bacon cheese Gouda sandwich and it had no bacon. So frustrating.

2 stars! I frequent this location more often than one can count, and every time they get my order wrong. When I bring it to their attention, no apologies are given, no remorse shown. Come on Starbucks, teach your baristas service excellence.

The barista was a very nice gentleman and my order came out promptly. The bathroom could use a little TLC and the customers can be very weird. Like creeping on you kinda weird. It is probably best to get your order and go.

Night manager Tyler arbitrarily closed both bathrooms at 8:25PM while customers still using the store. I asked to use the bathroom and was not only denied but also treated rudely and disrespectful by the night manager Tyler, who told me if I needed to use the bathroom go use the bathroom at the restaurant next door even though I was their their customer, purchased coffe there, and have been coming there regularly since last May of 2023 With this never being an issue before. No signs were posted on either bathroom doors. I Called the store the next day and day after to speak with Store Manager who has yet to acknowledge my complaint or return my calls. This location obviously doesn't care about their customers. Sad!!!

Menu like any Starbucks! My drinks have been made accurately and decently well. Bathroom code 8704 and kept very clean! No outlets for working, but there is a bar table with short stools as well as ~10 tables - mostly round tables for parties of 2.

Starbucks mistakes Oh cool I got rewards for a free bakery item. "Okay I'll get a bagel sounds good. " Mistake is cream cheese is $1.00 extra. Really Starbucks you nickel and dime your customers for cream cheese. Now I have a cold bagel that's really bad to begin with and it now insults you further with overpriced spread. Going back to Noah's for coffee now you can suck it.

They don't always get my drink right. That's usually when their busy. It's always a hit or miss for me here. It's so convenient though. So when I order a refresher it's usually done right but when I order a coffee with foam it's almost never right.

Amazing staff!! I accidentally mobile ordered an hour early and realized it too late so by the time I got there, my drinks were very watered down by the ice, and I completely asked for them to be remade, and they remade them without extra charge!

Worst coffee Ive ever had. My mom's was straight up milk, mine just tasted like card board (was supposed to be vanilla cream cold brew).

Definitely one of the BEST starbucks locations on this side of town. I've never experienced such a kind and friendly barista first thing in the morning at a starbucks. Generally I visit 5-6 days a week first thing in the morning and the young lady barista (speaks Russian) is always super friendly and welcoming. Even when I have the most complex order she ALWAYS gets it 100% correct. -1 star as the afternoon/evening shift crew aren't quite as friendly and sometimes try to hurry along the line and I've had a few issues with my order over the past few months but it's always mid/late day, never in the mornings. Either way I highly recommend this place especially for the avid coffee drinkers who need a pick me up to start the day.

One of the better Starbucks in the area. It's located in the busy Waterside Marina Del Rey shopping center, along side the usual shopping center suspects and some nicer high end shops. This place is hopping every Saturday when I'm there, but these Baristas know what they are doing. The line might be long but the wait will be short. It's a pretty good sized store with plenty of indoor seating, but I really recommend sitting outside in the large patio area and taking in some sun.

I recently visited this location after placing a mobile order. Upon my arrival, my drinks were ready, but made incorrectly. When I approach the barista about fixing the incorrect drinks I was rudely approached & had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get my drink after the barista error. Staff can definitely use a training on customer service and how to handle situations when they have made a mistake. This location used to be my favorite and go to location but I will no longer return to this location!!

Starbucks is nice, very spacious, staff is nice, but what Starbucks doesn't have outlets available? They have the tables that feel like it's open for people to work and the floor space..

Andy is the best! He is always welcoming and gives great drink recommendations. We enjoy this location the most and have always had yummy coffee experiences!

Apart from bad service you get bad coffee? I ordered a short pour over and the barista rolled her eyes at me. I aware it takes longer to brew and I waited patiently. After watching them wrongly make it I waited to try to make sure it was decent tasting. I got a blonde roast. I tasted it it was super strong because they used a full scoop of coffee beans that they use to make the large pot of coffee. I asked her to just give me whatever they have brewed since that was not drinkable. She proceeded to rudely tell me that "blonde roast is stronger" and I assured her that after working for a coffee shop for almost a decade I am aware of blonde coffee being stronger in caffeine not in taste. I left very unsatisfied and threw that second cup away and didn't ask for a refund because they probably would have rolled their eyes and I wanted to keep my peace. Not the place if you want a good cup of joe. Take your money to groundwork or elsewhere.

I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks but this one is pretty darn good. Right near the marina and in a great shopping center. This place is busy in the morning and the staff is extra helpful, polite and cheerful. I don't mind stopping in here when I'm in MDR.

Was I ever ready for a coffee after all that exhausting shoe shopping! The coffee place next door was absolutely swarming with people, but when we walked into Starbuck's, the wait was only a minute or two. We found a nice table outside in the patio under the trees, and enjoyed our lattes and watched the dogs. Wow, are there ever a lot of dogs at this place. Next time I'm bringing Joey. This is a really great mall and one of my favorite Starbucks, even though I forget about it sometimes. Great people (and dog) watching.

Service is great. I came here ar 4:45pm to grab some food before heading out to an event. I picked up the chicken and fig sandwich and a ZA'ATAR Chicken salad with Lemon Tahini . Both were ok. The price points a bit steep but thats starbucks for you and I didnt have time to eat at CPK across the way. The seating is limited, literally small bar tables in the entry with limited plug in outlets and the back, packed with small tables with people studying or chit chatting again no room! Seeing no one was going to give up an empty chair and hog the tables, i decided to eat outside at the tables in front of Mendocino Farms. Better ambiance but slightly brisk. I would like to have more seating but it is what it is.

I'm glad to have this Starbucks here, but they should really take a lesson from Peet's across the street on Covid protocol. Their door is always closed instead of propped open to encourage air flow which isn't great. Having people go all the way inside to pick up drinks seems to be encouraging people to hang out inside, like this person who just stood there--inside--talking on the phone--even after being asked to put on her mask. Picking up our drinks this morning felt really unsafe. In the future I'll choose Peet's where this stuff isn't happening.

The employees are consistently friendly, which I really appreciate. Also love that Starbucks has coconut milk, unlike so many other chain coffeehouses. My two complaints here are they should be propping open their door -- both so I don't have to touch it and for air flow -- and they should have an employee dedicated to enforcing mask wearing of customers since customers are allowed inside. This morning a customer was talking on her cell phone with her mask pulled down.

Cameron was wonderful I showed up 2 hours later than I expected for an online order and she remade it for me. If she's not the manager definitely promote her.

If you go here and you see a line of people waiting for food, stick to getting a drink. The order line moves quickly, but several people jumped ahead of me to complain about having waited 20 minutes for a chocolate croissant, or 15 minutes only to receive double cooked (burnt) egg bites. I originally planned to get an egg and ham sandwich, but decided to switch up and only get a green tea lemonade. My order came out in 3 minutes. Meanwhile the people who ordered food still languished in hunger purgatory. Also, there's a nice Mendocino Farms and Shake Shack right nearby. Go get a yummy concrete and enjoy your day.

I come into this location all the time. Best tasting coffee, clean, efficient, great vibe. The baristas are amazing. Went in today and was having a down feeling Monday due to some really hard personal news. A barista named Sofie(new?) had the most wonderful and welcoming way she greeted me and took my order, that I immediately was snapped from my thoughts and in a positive mood. Kudos to Sofie, as I received my coffee.. she had typed ' Lisa is the nicest.' You just made my day. Sometimes the simplest gesture of kindness makes all the difference

I order my cafe Latte with almond milk on Sunday March 6 around 2:40 pm . The cashier was very nice and friendly and took my order , as I was waiting for my coffee and watching the girls making coffee , the girl who was making my coffee took a carton of soy milk for my coffee !!! She called my name. I told her that I saw her using soy milk instead of almond milk . She was shocked that I was watching her , to my surprise she lied and said NO , I used almond milk!!!! Well I do not like to make a big deal in front of other customer but I love Yelp to tell the truth . . It is disappointing that she thought it is ok to lie , I know it is very common mistake but OWN IT .All she had to say that she grabbed the wrong carton and make another coffee for me. I will not go to that Starbucks again .

We LOVE Starbucks coffee but for some reason this place is always a dump...trash cups everywhere, newspapers all over the floor, trash bins over flowing, toilet paper all over the bathrooms and so on! I know it gets busy on the weekends people but please keep it cleaner! The baristas however are always super friendly :)

This is my favorite Starbucks. This location is awesome. Everyone that works here is amazing... (Shout to Erica, Sophie, and Randy:)This place has the small town coffee vibes and the guys and gals that work here are really great baristas and the nicest of people. Even when it's busy, they are total pros.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks! I've visited at all times morning, noon and night. Regardless, the service is fast and accurate(they write the correct name one the cup, so they listen as well!). Lastly, my drinks are made well and the food tastes good! This is a non-drive through store that I don't mind getting out of my car to visit!

As a former Starbucks Barista I remember being trained by corporate to uphold Starbuck's standards of consistency within service and recipe. I usually travel out of my way to walk into a Starbucks before ever choosing a competitor, maybe I'm a loyal snob, but I'll know my drink will be the same at any location and the service will be a higher standard. This location was small and not busy so me and my boyfriend figured we'd grab a drink while shopping. The barista told me I couldn't substitute in a syrup in my caramel macchiato. Since when can a customer not customize their drink? Then my boyfriend takes his first sip of his cold brew he ordered with no ice. With ice in cup, he accepts it, but then finds grinds all throughout his cup. As I'm grabbing my straw (understocked) from the condiment bar, the older man next to me is asking the baristas where their napkins are but they're too busy talking to each other by the espresso machine, so needless to say, I help him. Now I understand this is a licensed concept, but I too worked in a licensed concept and our location was able to carry out corporate standards. So what's the deal? It's the little things that make service.

2pm, Friday afternoon. 88 degrees at the beach, in November. At Waterside shopping center in Marina del Rey, they must not have heard about the recession. Cuz in the huge lot, every parking space was occupied, as usual, and people were circling like vultures, hoping to snag a spot the second it was vacated. When you finally did get to park, the battle really had just begun: Every cafe and almost every shop had a line. Every public seat at every umbrella table.... was taken. I thought they all had been crazy when, not so very long ago, this entire plaza was torn apart and remodeled. Even Ralphs got a facelift. Black & white awnings went up, in went a fountain & cobblestone walkways, and expensive shops arrived. And now they have customers coming out their ears. I stand corrected. I put myself through this parking nightmare in the upscale MarinaZoo all for the sake of: iced black tea. Can't live with it, can't live without it.

Very spacious Starbucks! There's lots of seating areas for customers. I purchased a Strawberry Acai refresher from this location. My order arrived quickly. It was very refreshing. The cashier and staffs seemed friendly.

Excellent customer service. They set the bar here and they deserve all the wonderful reviews they have gotten. I've never been to a better Starbucks. Which is saying something seeing as they're everywhere. Atmosphere and customer service can not be beaten. I wish I could give them more stars!
