New Orleans Po’ Boy Landmark Parkway Bakery & Tavern Opens Speakeasy | Eater New Orleans

"I’m reporting that the Poydras Street Starbucks is poised to vote on forming a union between May 18 and 22; if employees vote in favor it would join the Maple Street location that voted to unionize in June 2022, and the coverage presents this as part of broader managerial and corporate opposition to unionization that began at the company in 2021." - Clair Lorell

Ordered on app. Everything was ready for pickup within 5min. Spacious store with good number of sittings. The venti strawberry matcha frapp was great for ~$6.00

I always come here in the mornings on Mondays and Tuesdays because I like to get some studying in before this location gets busy. The two ladies who open on these days are always so sweet, not only do they remember my name but they always remember my order EVERY time. The tall Light skinned one is always so welcoming and carshell is so such a sweet baby. I’m not sure if this is policy but they check on me from time to time to see if i want a refill, which i really love the refill policy. Just wanted to say Great job ladies!!

Came here on Thanksgiving ordered a venti blonde roast coffee. Place was clean service was friendly but music was wayyyyy too loud.

Rude Staff and Long Waits If you’re looking for a friendly, smooth Starbucks experience, this location might not be the best choice during busy hours. The store becomes extremely congested, and the wait times can get very long, which makes the experience stressful instead of enjoyable. What really stood out to me, though, was the attitude from some of the staff — several employees came across as dismissive or condescending, as if they were doing customers a favor rather than providing service. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and that goes both ways. I’ve been to many Starbucks locations where the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff went above and beyond, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I truly hope management addresses this, because a little kindness and professionalism would make a big difference.

All employees are very friendly and helpful. My order was prepared exactly how I wanted it. Everything was perfect. Keep up the great job. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat.

Google
I literally never leave reviews, but I had to say something about my experience at this location today. They were so busy when I stopped in this afternoon and people were being difficult. This woman at the pick up area was being incredibly impatient and kept repeatedly stopping the baristas to ask how many drinks were ahead of her(read the room!!) and would not leave them alone to do their work and get all of us on our way. Michael was a masterclass in patience and service. He handled it with grace and kindness that I would NOT have been able to muster if I was in his shoes, and kept those drinks coming. Bravo, Michael!

Naomi S.

Google
Fabulous- quick service. The atmosphere is perfect. Warm, but they give you plenty of personal space. If you are into people watching- you will see old and young and metro and hippy and chilled. What a great relaxing way to start a day of touring. There are a lot of workers, so even though there was a steady and heavy flow of people, the lives kept living steadily and quickly, without making anyone feel rushed. Five stars!!!

Google
This is a large store which makes it very strange that it does NOT have its own bathroom. The restrooms are located inside of the office building so you must have your receipt with you.(on the weekends anyway.) to enter the office building and walk to the back so my advice is don’t wait until you absolutely have to go.😱 The staff is very nice and accommodating ! They actually reprinted my receipt so that I could use the facilities💛 The store is also kind of tucked away, so don’t give up when you’re following your map. It will lead you to the pick me up that you’re definitely gonna need after a day of walking around in New Orleans. !

Yelp
I visited New Orleans for the Essence Festival and stopped at this Starbucks 3 times, Michael(?) (and another young man--can't remember his name) were super sweet to my mom and I and I just wanted y'all to know that I really enjoyed our chats. Hope to see y'all again!

Yelp
They "run out" of everything Oatmilk, no syrup for seasonal drinks? Got to counter ordered oatmilk matcha lavender, first they said their out of syrup, then when they were making it they said they're put of milk too?!
google avatar

Karina U.

Yelp
They made me a delicious iced brown sugar shaken espresso and pretty quickly too after placing a mobile order. A little under filled but I'll let that slide...
google avatar

Daniel N.

Yelp
My first time here was fine. The coffee and service were just as you'd expect at starbucks. No problem second time I stood in line for at least two or three minutes the place was quite quiet but there are only two people up front and no one even looked at me . It was quite clear from the attitude of the people behind the counter that they didn't care at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Kelly the cashier is amazing, works really hard and has customer service This place gets super packed in the morning The employees do the best they can I ask for a special order and they came through

Yelp
One of the few places open this thanksgiving day. Who knew it would be a challenge to get my husband some coffee today. Ordered a venti peppermint mocha (only comes with two shots) with oat milk with 4 shots (2 extra shots) and a tall honey citrus mint tea. $12.78. The peppermint mocha is as expected for Starbucks. The honey citrus mint is different, not a big fan, but it works for some warm fluids. I like some of the music playing at least.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. Two workers holding down the line in a flawless timely manner. The Barista (Mariah) aced my complicated drink and the taste was on point. Large spacious beautiful cafe area.

Yelp
I didn't want to miss out on my free birthday beverage and this location is open allot later than the other Starbucks in the CBD. So I took a short walk from the French Quarter to here. It's located in the base of an office tower. There's a plaza area on the corner as well if you want to sit outside. Inside is your typical Starbucks shop. Seating is mostly against the side wall and there are a number of tables for up to two or three. There's a bigger table for a bigger group up front. I did a mobile order and at around 6pm there wasn't too much of a wait.
google avatar

Kisha L.

Yelp
This is the first time that I have placed my order (Iced White Mocha with a Carmel lined cup with light ice) and been asked if they needed to add extra milk or leave the cup a 1/4 empty due to the lack of ice. Nice place but this request was weird.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
I am typically not a fan of Starbucks but as it was the only coffee shop open in the morning I stopped in. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was good. I had a spinach and feta wrap and it was also pretty good. Overall one of the better Starbucks experiences.
google avatar

Bo V.

Yelp
It was a long line and food was sold out. But the staff treated me professionally and even though one for my order wrong, I was given complementary drink.

Natalie M.

Yelp
Super slow service and the people are extremely rude do not go here long wait and it's not worth it

Emily E.

Yelp
Rude. I don't mind waiting because I know every place gets backed up, but to be so rude and so snarky when I'm just trying to order is the worst.

Shane H.

Yelp
Late to work. Only option nearby, made me late for work. Opening at 6:30 when the sign says 6 is lame.

Yelp
Unlike Los Angeles, there aren't too many Starbucks here in New Orleans. I'm glad to say that this has been my go to coffee place in the mornings for this whole week while I was here in NOLA. Yes, I bypassed the other hipster coffee house inside the lobby of this high rise (sorry) as much as I wanted to try it. I just didn't have the time every morning as I was in a rush. And convenience is the major contributor. The coffee here is very consistent as it's not water compared to other Sbux's in California to not be mentioned geographically. My bagels were delicious, my cinnamon buns was fresh, my bananas were decent, however the egg muffin wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I'll stay with the golden arches for that item. Anyhow, I'm still happy about this Sbux as it was convenient for my walk to the convention center every morning. It's never too crowded, and the employees are also very friendly. People basically come and go at this location without really hanging around too long. Nobody smokes outside which is a major plus. I wish a Sbux similar to this location was around my neighborhood, that's never too crowded.

Yelp
Staff was warm and welcoming. They were out of cinnamon dolce so went with a vanilla late. Same as any other Starbucks
google avatar

Ray H.

Yelp
Slowest Starbucks ever, though in fairness I was there about the time many folks who work in the CBD were coming in to pick up their mobile orders. More than a dozen patrons were waiting along with me, and I had been there close to 15 minutes when one of the staff called out my name to say they were out of butter croissants, so would I like a chocolate croissant. No thank you. Also no orange juice. I always prefer a local coffee house anyway, but there was not one very close to our hotel.

Yelp
Clean, great food, fast service, good drinks. Very nice group. Definitely revommend this one!

Yelp
This Starbucks is conveniently located in the Central Business District in Nola. With close proximity to most of the major hotels and business, banks and high rises in the area. We were famished walking around looking for a breakfast spot. It was Memorial Day and so many places were closed. We found ourselves lost in the area until we spotted a Starbucks and decided to go in and refuel with a coffee or snack. My party of four all bought coffee, frappes and I got a new cold brew that just came out with a froth on top. It was so good and I wished I would have bought a Venti but then remembered this was just a quick stop. Besides the cool drinks what set this Starbucks apart was the service we received. As mentioned earlier, we were lost and wondering the area looking for a place to eat. Before we left I asked the baristas behind the counter where would be a good homey place to eat. They stopped what they were doing and literally threw a bunch of options and places to eat that I wasn't aware of and emphasizing on what would be my next stop and review, Mother's Place. Thanks for being so helpful and nice Starbucks team!

Yelp
Staff super friendly here! Good ol' starbucks. No complaints. No seating inside as of today. All staff wearing masks. Spacious and clean.
google avatar

Liza A.

Yelp
This is my favorite Starbuck's to frequent when in the French Quarter. There's not the uncharge that you get at the hotels and you can easily order online ahead of time for pickup. Definitely order ahead - it can be super busy.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Horrible. I ordered today a white mocha coffee and it was so so bland. I don't usually leave reviews .. but YUCK! Go to a different location.
google avatar

Keisha H.

Yelp
On Fat Tuesday you have a staff of 5. Are you serious? You are on one of the most popular corner Poydras and St. Charles day of Mardi Gras and you don't properly staff your location. Come on Starbucks. They have one person on the register and on guy who looks like he is trying to look busy so he doesn't have to do work. This is ridiculous. The staff is moving slow as turtles no smiles no hi how are you. Heads down they have one door open and the line is out if the door. The only good thing was I got bathroom tickets. DO BETTER
google avatar

Josh R.

Yelp
This Starbucks has a very friendly staff and never mess up orders. Came here my whole time in NOLA and never had an issue. There is no parking Aaron all for this location and that is the only reason I it's getting 4 stars
google avatar

Noanya S.

Yelp
I'm updating my rating 2 days in a row my has been ice cold, seriously if I want cold coffee that's what I'd order. Check your coffee before you leave

Yelp
This is Starbucks at Poydras and St. Charles. It is an awesome and smaller location than the one a few blocks away at 700 Canal. A bit less crowded and touristy. The beverages are amazing. Got my red holiday reusable cup though I missed the launch so I am happy!!!! Baristas are kind and friendly. Location is great to work in or pass time enjoying a tasty beverage. You'll love this location too!!!

Kennedy T.

Yelp
These people were really rude and disrespectful to my group and I. I understand we came in a little late, however the comments she made were really uncalled for.
google avatar

Flaminia S.

Yelp
OMG, the worse espresso and the worse dark roast ever!!!! and I thought they follow a standard process! how can you mess up espresso? just push the button on the machine.... and the dark roast? worse than mc donald!!!
google avatar

Darren K.

Yelp
Conveniently located in the Central Business District. Good place to get work done and get a drink while you are at it. Barista wanted to be sure she got my order in correctly and definitely out in the extra effort to make sure it was accurate. Overall a clean location with plenty of seating for a downtown location.
google avatar

Kimberly H.

Yelp
My coffee was delicious, but unless you have A LOT of time on your hands, you might want to go to the one down the street.

Vu H.

Yelp
Very disrespectfully, she have me order wrong and she have a bad attitude like she doesn't want to work anymore.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Perfect location Starbucks in New Orleans Business District, while still close enough to the hotels in the area. Catering to both business and tourist crowd. The barista are efficient, polite and fast. Also the location is large enough for lounging if you want to hang out indoor in AC.

Nicole M.

Yelp
Did a mobile order. Got there a few minutes after they were supposed to be ready. The drinks were, but we waited 12 minutes for our breakfast sandwiches before checking on them. The worker was rude and said "it will be over there when it's ready'. We waited 5 more minutes, then had to cancel because we had to leave. So...15-20 minutes after we got our drinks I told the girl to cancel. She actually looked up the order and said she "didn't get it". Umm...it was a mobile order and our drinks were there. Had to leave, no apology from staff, no breakfast. Paid for two sandwiches but didn't get them. Do not go here!!! I have never had a bad experience like this at Starbucks!
google avatar

Doris R.

Yelp
This is a full-sized Starbucks, not a cart or hut. I love this location! The employees are all super friendly and have been from the get-go. The various batistas quickly learned my order and always make me feel welcome. They have typical Starbucks fare...cups, mugs, snacks. And a pretty good selection of breakfast and lunch foods. When new drinks come out, they are quick to offer samples. There's lots of coffee competition on this block, but if you're a diehard Starbuckser on Poydras...your coffee dreams have finally come true!
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
This Starbucks is great for mobile orders, but I tend to have to wait a while when ordering in the store. Seating is okay, but not the best for getting work done, as lots of people are constantly coming in and out right by you.

Ralph I.

Yelp
WORST. STARBUCKS. EVER. 1. Long lines with one person working the register, and a cast of thousands milling aimlessly around behind the counter? Check! 2. Having the lady 5 people behind you in line get her two Frappuccino monstrosities with sprinkles before you get your two black cold brews? Check! 3. Waiting FOREVER for your order? Check! 4. Leaving without your petite vanilla scones you ordered unwarmed because you thought it would be quicker that way? Check! Just don't.
google avatar

Mary Z.

Yelp
This Starbucks location is great. It's a lot less crowded than the St Charles x Canal Street location and most patrons are office employees looking to get in and out. The baristas are pretty friendly and know their stuff. I recommend ordering on your app if you're in a rush- I placed my order at the Poydras crosswalk and my iced coffee was ready on the counter by the time I walked into the store. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 out of 5 stars is because there seems to always be one or two fruit flies flying around the pickup counter every time I'm there.
google avatar

Mareeka S.

Yelp
I'm a partner so I know the standards and I'm usually pretty understanding since I know what it's like. But the minute I walked into the store the girl on bar had an attitude with another customer. The store wasn't busy and I was the only one waiting, the Barista at the register didn't acknowledge me. I probably waited a good couple minutes before being greeted. The guy didn't give me my discount after I told him I was a partner.... luckily I mobile ordered my other drinks. Even then I didn't even drink my caramel macchiato because it was gross.
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
This is my go to Starbucks! However I HIGHLY recommend using the app to place your order. I have had several occasions where I have not used the app and had to wait a very long time for my order. Now that I use the app I have had no issues with this location and stop in several times throughout the week
google avatar

Channing B.

Yelp
Love his location. The staff is amazing. Love Trey and his staff!! They are amazing at remembering your order after just a few visits and are so happy to see you. The other locations around can at times feel like they are too busy to notice you. Not here. They may not always remember your name but your drink and size of cup... spot on!! Go team. You keep it up.
google avatar

Arlene R.

Yelp
OMG coffee machines are broken at Starbucks and on Mardi Gras cold weekend!!! Unbelievable at least they could have put a sign at the front door stating so!!! We were told at the register after we waited almost 25 minutes to order and no coffee!! Gave them a 2 cause no signs posted that machine news were down and coffee is not good at all. They are making drip coffee and putting a filter over your cup and pouring hot water, not a great coffee as it tasted like cigarette, weird flavor.

Nikki L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I come here all the time and it is the best Starbucks location in New Orleans! My order always comes out fast so it's perfect if I'm in a rush. The workers are very friendly, and it's squeaky clean. There are normally lots of seat available. I usually come around 5 PM and it's rarely crowded. It's perfect for your afternoon coffee! The only bad thing is the parking. Parking in this area is not the easiest to find and they do not offer parking.

Ali R.

Yelp
It's too hit or miss. I'm not a big coffee person, so I only ever get the caramel macchiato when I need a pick me up. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's nasty. It almost tastes burnt the last few times I got it. Recently, I brought it back because it was nasty and burnt and I heard the lady say under her breath "she gone drink half the cup then bring it back." I had only taken like 3 sips! And even if I would have drank more of it so what? It's nasty and I want it remade. But I still come here every so often I just hate that I have to have my fingers crossed like I hope it will be good this time.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
This rating is purely based on a experience I had with the store manager. Starbucks products are consistent across the board and are generally good. The manager at this store was so rude to me recently. The details don't matter, but it was an unfortunate event. There's no need for a manager to be anything other than polite to a customer, no matter the type of day or how busy the store is. A little self awareness goes a long way.

Bob M.

Yelp
Walked in this past week to the new Starbucks out of morbid curiosity. I was not acknowledged at all while the store was basically empty minus one guy on his laptop. I waited a minute and a half to get service at the counter where I was rudely served. My regular drip coffee was horrid and the service was even worse...no actually check that. The worst part about this whole thing is that there is another coffee shop in the same building! The guy over there was super nice, helpful and his coffee was outstanding! Apparently, he has been in the building for 4 years when $tarbuck$ moved in...what a bunch of greedy people. Not only am I never coming here again for my daily coffee, I'll just walk an extra 50 steps to get much better coffee and much better service! p.s. If you don;t like the other little guy in the building, there are literally 3 other places within a 100 foot radius. This was a poor job in picking out locations...shame ::ding ding::
google avatar

Ardalan M.

Yelp
What!? A Starbucks across from CC's? And they are open till 9pm when CC's closes at 5? Interesting choice to make! The interior is beautiful and it seems there is an entrance from outside and also the lobby of the main building. Great views of Poydras from the window and it looks like there is lots of seating.

Libby H.

Yelp
The poorest run Starbucks I've come across. Under staffed during the morning rush in a huge office building. 30+ minuets in line just to order. Cashiers running food orders. I've seen numerous orders getting screwed up. Def need s better management.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome location with amazing people working. Always do their best and strive to make you happy and enjoy your visit. AAA+++

Yelp
Really slow service two people working the whole store you expect more from Starbucks . I will say that the staff was nice even under pressure
