Yelp
We don't usually get scolding by any Starbucks barista.
Well, I did just now, by barista Rahjeeya.
It's always a long line to order at this location, and when we finally got to order, we said the order, showed employee badge for discount, then we were told by Rahjeeya to hold off, as she was not ready to hear or accept any information.
After we're finally allow to speak, she wanted us to pay up, however we wanted to make sure the amount she charged was including the discount before we pay; because she never showed her acknowledgment of the discount or confirmed our order. When we asked her if the total was after the discount, she start to complain, and scolded us that we should not bother confirm as she saw our badge of course she will give us the discount!! She never said a word, and when she opened her mouth she scold her customer! No one is mind reader here!
I know it's the morning peak for coffee, and maybe lots of customers give her the pressure, or she had some family matters, ... I don't know, plus she had been nonstop taking orders, but it would be professional to keep your emotions with you and not pass down the bad vibes to your customers, for them to also start their days with negative energy.
Thank goodness the drink was made by other barista, and it tasted like Starbucks! Therefore this place is from zero star to one star.
There is another Starbucks in terminal C.
However that one was always no line, and a lot less people. Reason I think:
1. Locates at Departure check-in lobby; everyone is busy checking in their luggages and rushing to TSA.
2. At TSA, no liquids is allowed to pass. So you don't see any one has coffee or water bottle on hand.
And after passing TSA, every Starbucks goers rush to this location, and creating long line, and possible bad vibes...
