I had been boycotting Starbucks for supporting the war in Palestine, but that night I had no choice. There wasn’t a single place nearby to get a hot drink, and my mom was coughing badly—she desperately needed something warm. That’s the only reason I ended up buying tea there. And you know what? Never, EVER again will I buy anything from Starbucks!
First of all, one cup of tea costs $7—BEFORE taxes! I’ve never paid so much for tea in my life, especially at a place like Starbucks. This franchise clearly doesn’t care about quality. They brewed the tea so strong it was undrinkable. The bitterness could wake the dead! Ten minutes later, I went back and asked them to just add some hot water to fix it. And they had the nerve to say: “You need to pay for hot water.” WHAT?! I paid $7 for this awful tea that you couldn’t even brew properly, and now you want to charge me extra for hot water?
I was furious. I dumped the tea and walked out. These greedy, shameless people don’t even know how to make a decent cup of tea, but they sure know how to rip people off. That’s it—no second chances. I will never, under any circumstances, set foot in Starbucks again!
