Seattle Starbucks Closes After Employee Tests Positive for Coronavirus - Eater Seattle

"The coffee chain’s location at First Avenue and University Street closed Friday after the company learned that an employee had tested positive for COVID-19. Starbucks said it initiated a deep clean of the store immediately, following the recommended guidelines by local health authorities." - Gabe Guarente

As always, I appreciate a Starbucks locations whose workers read the instructions. I can judge as soon as I see my drink if it was well prepared. In this case, I saw it and I knew it was top-notched. Just as instructed and the flavor was as good as it should be. I had a quick talk with Anthony! Very nice and friendly and asked me to try the new drink. I posted some pics of it. I liked the drink sample but sad that it was not warm anymore but hey it was just bad timing. The location has a nice view of the waterfront and in front of the art museum. Cheers to the crew.

Pick up only means you have to order in advance using the app. It's weird to see other users listed by name on the screen. Stopped by because the coffee shop we wanted to visit was closed, and we figured Starbucks had a universal level of service. The staff were doing their jobs, but this model makes it very different from the vibe Starbucks is trying to create. You can't linger here. Waiting for our drinks to be made probably took 8 minutes, but with two small kids in a tiny lobby full of merch and no furniture... it felt much longer. We ended up waiting on the sidewalk with our kids because it was just... awkward. Lack of customer restroom is also tough to appreciate when it costs $6 for a coffee, but that's Seattle.

I go to this store daily until today they greet me with my name as I'm usually the only one with a personal cup. But today the little boy who waited on me didn't greet me asked my name not noticing the CUP in my hand. I did get snarky not rude not understanding his incompetents. He then walked out after me with his little friend to be rate me on the street in front of other ppl and inform me he didn't appreciate my snark and I am not welcome at his store anymore. I'm 69 when did employees get to tell paying customers they don't appreciate my business. Again not rude no cussing. Hopefully management who helped me load a gift card to my account and was tipped handsomely will reconsider her employee's bad decision and give both of them more training. Don't need an apology he wouldn't be sincere.

If you love coffee, more particularly Starbucks, this place is going to a delight! I'm no coffee connoisseur, but I do like a coffee once in a while and this place is like Starbucks on overdrive! There is coffee, tea, chai, whiskey, coffee desserts, pastries, bread all made in house!  There is a whiskey room, and two other private rooms to relax in if you want to get away and get a little privacy.  Tables, benches, lounge chair and plush couches are laid out strategically so that each section has their own separate vibe. An adult bar is located within the main room sectioned off with railing while a bartender mixing whiskey drinks as mentioned earlier. Plus, my absolute favorite, craft beers on tap. Most of the merch here is super cool and unique although it is pricier, in my opinion. If you're in the Seattle it's definitely worth a visit.

For my first time being in Seattle, this is definitely a place you'd have to stop by! Not only are they slinging latte art one cup at a time, these partners are very welcoming! They know their regulars fairly well and they definitely offer myriads of coffees and methods! My personal favorite is when they do their coffee seminar happening every Wednesday at 6:30pm! Don't miss it! I highly recommend this place and I'll be back for more!

Headed here after walking around pike place market and not wanting to wait in line at the original Starbucks. The teavana Emperor’s cloud and mist green tea is really good even for someone who’s somewhat a green tea snob - they serve it in pyramid tea bags on Alaska air.

No matter how much you love your Starbucks, the Reserve will transports you to a Starbucks Heaven like no other. The ambience, aroma, flavors, even the electricity of everyone present.

Google
Artsy Starbucks store, essentially. Only 4 star because it was so super busy everything takes forever to happen (long queues within a tiny space). Cool stuff: the Roast machines (you will get a pretty detailed explanation about how the supply chain of roasting coffee beans work), decor, merchandise. Coffee pairing with chocolate is cute and trendy. Not cool stuff: Noise level, wait time

Yelp
I'm seeing this style of Starbucks pop up in a few areas around town. When I came here, I had no idea this concept was a thing, so I was surprised when I walked in, to say the least. Feels very simple and it's almost designed to minimize any interactive elements from the coffee experience. Which may be... wait for it... your cup of tea In a city with Starbucks on every corner, it's nice to have different options. If I would have known about the process, and not stood there the same amount of time as when I order at a normal coffee shop, I can see the benefit to it. I don't want to deduct stars for my personal preference for interaction at a coffee shop, and decided to give full stars for Starbucks adapting and creating something new in a changing world. I just sometimes wish the world wasn't changing so much in the direction of solitude.

Yelp
I had to write a review for this specific location. They delivered exceptional service this morning! I decided to do a mobile order, however being in Seattle one can expect to have one in nearly every corner of this city. So I placed my order, walked on over, and lord and behold my order was not there. Panicked I asked about my order only to find out that I went to the wrong location. I was going to leave when the workers there told me that they would be more than happy to make my order. I gave them my order and less than 5 minutes, it was ready. As I was waiting, employee by the name of Zach was nice enough to chat with me and even gave me 2 temporary Starbucks tattoos. Loved it! Thank you both Zach and all of the staff that was working to start my morning off right!

Yelp
better than most starbucks. They have all the different refreshers and their bathroom isn't always locked!!!

Yelp
Don't use Starbucks, not customer friendly. They didn't honor my Birthday drink when I signed up for the app. I signed up for Dutch Bros And they had a free drink as soon as I signed up. Dump the cruel major corp and go for the smaller better friendlier Dutch Bros. Shame on you Starbucks.

Yelp
Space is amazing. The handful of times I've been here the staff is always on the verge of incompetent. Cashiers poorly trained. Communication is awkward. Staff seems to misunderstand the relationship between the customer and them or the business. If the space wasn't so beautiful I wouldn't literally waste my time coming here
