Extremely rude, incoherent, mad at us before we even pulled up. Asked for extra cinnamon powder and had about 10 specs of cinnamon. Then asked for a little more and they made a new drink with zero cinnamon powder. Told them just wanted a little more in original drink and they dropped about half of a seasoning container of cinnamon on top. Had to go back in to ask for a new drink made and they were none too happy.

Cozy and clean. Found this branch by accident regarding to my branch that I put my mobile order is closed D: Staffs are friendly and helpful when I explained overall situation and didn’t hesitate to made orders for me. Capacity is 60. So many chargers all around. Sitting area are inside and outside. Drive thru pick up also available. Will visit again :)

I had a pretty good experience at this Starbucks. It’s one that has seating indoor and outdoor, and has a parking lot. There’s also a drive through. Washrooms are locked you just need to request the code to use. It wasn’t overly busy when I went- I was able to get my drink quickly without complaints. Staff was friendly. Welcoming. The seating area was clean and no concerns. Lots of people seemed to be students and I guess this is expected since it’s the university district? Would recommend and return if I was in the area craving Starbucks.

I visit this Starbucks every day, but the new policy requiring a purchase to sit inside is driving me crazy. My issue isn’t with the rule itself, but with how inconsistently it’s enforced. I’ve noticed that some employees only approach some customers about it, while others sit without being questioned. As a regular, it’s frustrating to be repeatedly reminded of this policy when I’m already a frequent customer. And while I understand business policies, Arizona’s extreme heat makes it feel unfair to deny someone water unless they buy something. If Starbucks is going to enforce this rule, it should be applied equally to everyone—not just selectively.

Great customer service June 15 2025 at 9 pm. The barista was very patient and professional and helpful with our drinks. Thank you so much we will be back.

Great location. Fast drive through if ur skilled enough to avoid the dumpsters. Friendly staff. Nice seating with a big shared table, side bar and outdoor seating. Outlets throughout but none outside. Pretty busy with about enough seating for 20 people inside.

Please if you are a person of color do not and I mean do not visit this location I went there two days ago with my dog and my son through the drive thru and I asked for a vanilla cafe and got a coffee with ice no sugar no cream a vanilla been got a black coffee and I accidently took a sip and was intensely sick I had to go to urgent care they prescribed me antibiotics please stay away from this location

We had a last minute request to pick up 2 travel coffees to go. Hannah did an amazing job not only brewing the coffee & providing the supplies, she did it with a smile. Keeping the customer relaxed & happy. Thank you, Hannah!!!!

This is a great Starbucks. I rank it top ten I've ever been and I started going to SB in 1994. First, they just renovated with comfy indoor seating and a very large patio. Second, the Barista staff is outstanding demonstrating impeccable customer service skills and professionalism. Many customers are extremely demanding(I'm an exception)and all the Staff handle them extremely well without getting fazed or flustered. I think they should all get bonuses for A+ work. Finally, this location is almost always open until 11:30pm! That's the latest hours for an SB in my experience and I wish more were open late. Highly recommended makes my top 10 SB list for BOTH Arizona & California.

The staff is slow, aloof, and calm about time. It's just Starbuck. The generak scheme is to add powder or syrup to some type of liquid, maybe add ice and shake or blend, and pour it into a cup. It's not rocket science. If you have somewhere to be, think twice about going or plan 25-30 minutes.

Why is the closest Starbucks to my house like this?! I've been to lots of great Starbucks branches and loved whatever I ordered, but this one is the worst!! Why do they fill up only half of the cup?? No matter whether I order a hot drink or a cold one, the same thing keeps happening :( I want a cup full of coffee, and I wouldn't drive to Starbucks to get whipped cream! Unfortunately, I only have the picture of the last time to share!

Just went to Starbucks and got 2 Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espressos which came out great. Also Celeste had great customer service and made my girlfriend and I's morning by being so kind and friendly, give that girl a raise!

I come to the Starbucks almost every morning to order my usual drink and they always put so much ice even when requesting light ice. You can see the label clearly says light ice which I requested, crazy that this is their version of light ice. I ordered a Venti which should be enough to share between my boyfriend and I but when they put this much ice it is barely enough for me. Waste of money basically just got a tall(small) for the price of a venti(large)

Ordered my normal order of one over priced cup of legal stimulants and one cup of hot water. I was told we cannot give hot water from a Kevin wearing a mask. I am off to the cheap gas station that does as the customer requested. Starbucks is a one star establishment that cannot beat out a gas station half a block away.

Amazing starbucks! We dropped our drink when walking out of the store so they made us a new one and were very kind!

The drive-thru takes absolutely forever (waited like twenty minutes), but I wanted to write a shout-out to Austin, who works there and is so friendly and fun! He had a conversation with me while my drink was being made and he seems very genuine and sweet. Also enjoyed my soy cappuccino, even more than my usual almond milk latte, so I am grateful for that!

The WORST Starbucks I've ever been to. They hire people who can't do basic math. Ordered a drink that cost $8.05.. handed them $10.05. They gave me back $1.85. Some guy named Dan said he couldn't open the register anymore and give me back the correct change. Don't come here. They're terrible. Service sucked. And Dan is an idiot. Good job hiring people that can't do basic math Starbucks. That was by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been to in my life.

idk what it is with this place more than 3 separate times they've given me the wrong cold foam. I get salted caramel which starts with a 'S' on the label and every time they give me vanilla which starts with a 'V' plz do better and the label still says Stld Car so idk why it's something else like are we not reading the label?

Well, today it's not crowded, and that's a pleasant surprise. This review accounts for all my experiences at this Starbucks, especially when I lived closer-by on Vista Del Cerro. A usable rule of thumb is, if you live nearby, to make an effort for regularship at this Starbucks. It's a great spot! However, if you live farther away and are just looking for a change of scenery, might I strongly recommend going someplace else. It'd be a shame to drive all the way here, backpack loaded with stuff, only to find that you need to sit outside or take your coffee to-go. There is a drive-thru at this location, and from my experiences, I'd say it's one of the better ones (unless it's during the morning rush). Parking lot can be a maze at times, and if you don't find a spot, you're pretty much out of luck. I've never had a poor cup of coffee here, so the staff and their prowess have my confidence. And now, I shall return to my studies -- that was the whole reason why we came here, but Yelp reviews are just so much fun. 'Til again.

Of course since this shop is a chain most of their products are standard except if you ask to customize it. I always enjoy their products and services. The best ones I have had is the chicken and quinoa salad along with the artichoke chicken panini. their sandwiches are also good too. I haven't tried their bento boxes. I have a friend who makes her own Starbucks style bento box with carrots and green peas. You can never outdo the convenience of a premade meal. It's also great they have a good parking lot. The inside tends to be packed though. there used to be a lot of people studying there and there still is quite a few people inside every day. The service tends to still be quite quick and convenient. It is nice that there are so many similar stores in the area to help cut down on the amount of customers or store. It would be nice if this location was open 24/7. I think there are some evening stores somewhere.

no one likes starbucks more than me but this location has a gnat problem lately!! flying literally everywhere, around the baristas, around the lobby, in the bathrooms, and even in the pastry case?!!?! some of the baristas are literally visibly annoyed with the problem and i hope the higher ups fix this before they get in trouble with the health department!!!

ungodly amount of ice. this photo was taken AFTER a lot had already melted. the cup was literally packed so full and so compactly i had such a minuscule and watered down amount of my drink. i'm typically a person that likes a decent amount of ice but this was unreasonable. extra star because they were speedy.

This is a great Starbucks. The location is always busy, but they work efficiently and it's never taken me long to grab a coffee. There is both indoor and outdoor space to work, and the outdoor area is covered with fans for the hot Arizona heat! The quality of ingredients at the Starbucks is just as good and there are plenty of parking spaces to choose from. Employees are always friendly here and I have absolutely no complaints!

My favorite location in Tempe! I come here almost every morning and everyone is extremely kind and I've never had an order be incorrect. Great work everyone!

Ugh. I enjoy the consistency of Starbucks. That's the real win. BUT they got a drip coffee order with 2% milk wrong THREE TIMES! How?

This Starbucks is great but unfortunately the man they hired wasn't. I asked for an iced vanilla latte with pumpkin cold foam. I realized there was none so I asked for them to give me some and he said it would cost extra. By the way I already paid for the cold foam. So after charging me again, he hands me the exact same drink back with nothing changed. My sister also ordered cold foam and the Genteman said that there was some in there, and there was not. You could visibly see there wasn't smh. As we left the drive through I sipped my beverage (first drink) and realized it wasn't even my order at all after checking the label. Thanks Starbucks or should I say starbutt heads. Dutch bro's would never do this to me.

One of the better Starbucks I've been to. There was a long line at the drive-thru but it moved at a good pace and we got our food and drinks pretty quickly. Good, friendly customer service and the breakfast sandwiches were good and fresh. We'll be back next time we visit.

Terrible! The lady gave me a Frappuccino with the lid loose and it spilled all over my pants, car, and new phone. And she just ignored the situation. Plus this location is located by asu, which sucks to drive to due to all the pedestrians and cyclists.

service is always fabulous when I go to this location Starbucks and I only come during the evening which is like 2pm in the drive thru. I was having a okay day when the worker asked me how my day was and he made my day better with a free cake pop so nice! my drinks are always on point never a mess up and I just love how nice the workers are. Workers are very positive never rude ill always come back here

This SB is open late but I won't be back. Too busy, too cramped, too loud, and customer service is a mixed bag. While there are some positives like having power outlets outside, ample outdoor seating, and open til 11pm, there are so many more glaring negatives. Firstly it's located literally right next to a busy intersection/crosswalk with the loudest crosswalk warning beeps I've ever heard. If you sit outside you will be subjected to these ear piercing beeps every 20 seconds. It's super busy. The few hours I spent there, it was packed to the brim nonstop and you were lucky to find a seat inside. Not only that, the tables and seating are quite tight so you feel like a sardine in a tin. Customer service is mixed, with a friendly barista one moment and a subpar one the next. I asked for a tea refill (free with Starbucks card and if you've been spending time in-store) and for the first time ever, I was asked if I'd been in-store or I had just come in. Um your girl's not trying to scam a free drink honey, I'd been there for hours ‍. Not sure if she was further trying to spite me but I didn't get my refill until nearly 15-20 minutes later... Needless to say, NOT my favorite Starbucks. If I'm in this area I will hit up another spot or go to Infusion Coffee Tea just up the street which has way better ambiance and service!

NEVER have anything at this store. On multiple occasions that I have come here, they don't have honey or tea. If you get a coffee its always burnt.

I go here pretty often bc it closes at 11PM. It gets super crowded when school is in session and when it's exam week. During the summertime, it's pretty chill and more professionals come out to do work and some students taking summer classes but not a lot. There's a sofa area which always has space, but it's not ideal since the coffee tables are so low it's awkward if you're doing work on your laptop or just doing any sort of work. Also, it gets pretty loud. The corner section with individual tables is popular since it's out of the way and secluded.

Stopped in here this morning to get my free birthday drink and this location was close to work. I noticed their drive-thru but it already had a few cars and I was running late so I parked and walked in. There was no one in line which helped me and I was able to order easily and quickly. I got the Midnight Mint Mocha frappucino (and of course I wasn't able to remember the exact name but the barista did). I took a quick glance around as I was waiting and it's a nice shop, lots of places to sit and work or do whatever. I didn't have to wait too long as my drink was ready within 5 minutes, which I appreciated considering the line for the drive-thru. The drink didn't taste like it had coffee in it which was weird but I don't need the caffeine. I liked the mint and chocolate combo but the bottom of the drink is always icey. Not a big Starbucks fan but it does the job, especially when it's free!

Really really disappointed today with the service in the drive thru today. When I pulled up I was one of only 2 cars, one was already at the window. Took very long to get my drink when it wasn't busy at all, I pull up to the window after I ordered and they inform me after the fact they have no bananas to make my drink so they are making it without it. I was thinking okay I guess it'll be okay. I ordered a chocolate banana protein smoothie, comes in one size, grande and is almost $5! As you can see from the picture, the drink was Given to me not even full, if I pay $5 for your drink and you don't have what I order Atleast fill it up to the top please. Looks like I'm going back to Tropical Smoothie Cafe for protein shakes now... very poor experience here today

Usually I don't do this but I have to for this. I love coming to this Starbucks, I've always hit the drive thru but decided to come in today. Staff is phenomenal as always but it's now taken 20 minutes for a danish and a coffee. There's people in here waiting longer than I have. I get it's busy, I get they're over worked, I do understand that but really? I left 15 minutes earlier for work for coffee and now I'm about to just leave my coffee here. Now I know hit the drive thru only unless you want your entire morning spent here.

Rude staff. For the size of this one, should be speedier than what it took for a coffee.

Whoever took our order through the drive thru was extremely rude. When we get to the window, they kept their back to us.No customer service whatsoever. Extremely rude and unpleasant encounter. I have never had any issues with Starbucks as they are almost always friendly and welcoming therefore I was not expecting to be treated so poorly, like customers were an inconvenience. The coffee we got was also not tasting right but I knew I'd be in for an even worse experience if I went to return the drink due to the poor service we already received. If you want good coffee and customer service, go literally anywhere else.

This is a great Starbucks. The customer service is great. It's basically closed because of COVID-19. I never go through the drive through, so thank you for mobile ordering. The drive through is always at least 6-8 cars deep. They make the Cloud Macchiato like no other Starbucks. It's like the first time I had it... really good.

I ordered a green tea frap at 4:17 and the app showed me it was ready at 4:31. I'm still waiting for my drink at its 4:48. I have a meeting at 5:00 but guess who's going to be late because of waiting for a drink for more than 30 mins.

Hi Starbucks. We have been in your drive thru line for about twenty minutes. Twenty. Minutes. We have too many cars behind us to back out and the curb prevents us from leaving the line from the right. Not sure what on earth is going on inside today, but for a company that was supposed to built on efficiency, you need to improve on your service speed. I suggest if you have one drive thru order that is taking longer than usual, ask that car to pull over into a parking space and wait there so you can move the rest of the orders alone and not hold other cars in a very claustrophobic line. Love that i paid $6 for steamed milk and NO RASPBERRY FLAVORING I asked repeatedly if they put flavor in (because they always forget) and the lady at drive through literally sniffed it with her nose all up in it and said it smells like raspberry. Uhm. No. Ive been getting this drink for over 10 years and its ALWAYS PINK. Your job seriously isnt that hard. I used to do it

One of the best Starbucks locations! It gets too busy most of the time but they do their best to make the line fast and smooth. Actually, there is barely a line! The outdoor seating is really nice when the weather is nice and cool. One downside is the noise from Rural road but it is not their fault. I hope more Starbucks stores develop the same outdoor seating around tempe!

Ordered a drink from tik tok and it came out to like $8. The lady at the register was super kind tho and explained the price breakdown of it which was cool. To make up for it, the girl making the drink put a caramel heart on top of it. I don't know who was working tonight but thank you!

This location has a drive through and a lobby I have never had an issue parking in their lot The lobby has both comfortable chairs and less comfortable chairs Right next to Potbelly's so if you are studying and want a sandwich you can pretty much just step outside, The drinks are made to standard, and the people who work there are nice. One less star because although the people who work there are nice, they are not very knowledgable and that is kind of irritating. Otherwise I am a fan, indeed!

Friendly staff, pretty ok overall. My big negative for this location is that they are inconsistent. I order the same thing every time and sometimes it'll be really milky, other times the espresso is way strong, yet other time they put too little/too much vanilla syrup in it. They occasionally have problems moving their drive-thru line along quickly. When a drink is wrong and I bring it back up, they're always super nice and apologetic and they remake it, which I really appreciate. They could just work on consistency.

This is my absolute favorite Starbucks! I go out of my way to go to this one and I judge all the other Starbucks by the standards of this Starbucks. I have been going there for about 6 months and I have not had a bad experience yet! They are fast, and always get my order right! I love going inside to work on homework, the vibe is very relaxing and there are so many other college students there as well. The staff is great and provide great customer service. When ever I have to meet up with someone, I always pick this Starbucks! Would recommend to any one

Wallie is the most memorable employee here. He's always cheerful, helpful, remembers what I like and knows my name. It's such a great way to start the day! We go here often and everyone is always great! Our coffee is always perfect, the store is clean, and stocked for the morning even if you get in as they open. My favorite location by far and there are about 5 others from my home to work.

Not sure why this location has such low ratings! I've been through the drive-thru at least a dozen times and never leave dissatisfied (other than when they're out of blueberry scones). The service is always friendly and the line typically moves pretty fast. My only complaint would be that they've overfilled my drinks on multiple occasions... I'm not a fan of sticky hands.

Great space/plenty of tables for studying! Employees are super nice and accommodating. I spilled my drink shortly after purchasing, without even getting to try it. I was just going to purchase another one but my friend said to call this starbucks store and just let them know what happened. I was very hesitant to do this because i was afraid they'll just be judging me and telling me to purchase another one. I called and they didn't even hesitate to offer me another one. Thank you so much for the staff today! You guys are awesome!!

Come here for expensive, average coffee. If you like that bitter burned flavor of Starbucks coffee, this is the place for you. I had a drink of my friend's coffee and made this awful face and said, "It tastes like there's a dead bird in it." But that's just the flavor of Starbucks. Most people love it, I guess.

Love that this place closes late, so it's great for the weirdos like me who drink coffee at 10PM. Great for studying but you've got to have a leprechaun and a half to snag a table here around finals. Also, for having that many plugs for electronics, the wifi here is incredibly slow. Otherwise, more or less your average Starbucks.

Ugh! Went through the drive thru this morning around 10 and there were approximately 5 cars in front of me and another 5 or 6 behind. I sat in line for what seemed like an eternity. I finally make it to the 2nd car from the window and notice that the barista is hanging out the window having a conversation with the driver of the car in front of me, just laughing and having a good time. She turns away from the window, gets a small cup of what I presume is water and hands it to the driver. It is handed back to the barista and she holds it out so that the dog in the car can drink from it while the driver takes photos with her phone. Then she decides to pet the dog for a couple of seconds, then they drive off. drive. I pull up. The barista turns in towards the store, grabs my croissant pin a bag and tries to hand it to me. I ask her if she would please wash her hands and she says okay, turns around says something to another barista and they laugh. Guessing that she washed her hands. Seriously? Then she proceeds to just be rude (didn't expect anything less). Never, ever will I purchase from this location again. Didn't even want to give them one star.
