this starbucks may be tiny, tucked right next to the pan pacific, but it definitely punches above its weight in foot traffic, especially when cruise ships dock. inside, the high ceilings and industrial touches make it feel more spacious than it is, with a nostalgic coffee themed mural running across the upper wall. warm lighting, earthy tones, and a front counter packed with snacks and cheerful gift cards (one literally said "you are awesome") give the space a friendly, slightly chaotic charm. there's some limited seating outside too, which drops you right into the middle of all the lively tourist buzz.
i popped in craving my new go to: the iced pistachio oat latte. and was told it's not available, only seasonal. pity. i ended up with a "matcha mermaid," which sounded magical but tasted more like strawberry syrup water. the matcha was weak, i could barely taste it.
not my best drink day, but still a fun little stop with good energy, just be ready to wait in line if you're swinging by during cruise ship season.
