Which Fast-Food Chains Are Closed or Open Due to Coronavirus? | Eater

"Company-owned stores in the U.S. and Canada have closed dining rooms and are primarily operating via delivery and drive-thru where available; exceptions remain for locations serving hospitals and health-care centers, and many high-social-gathering sites (malls, universities) and stores in high-case areas are closed." - Jenny G. What Is Starbucks Cold Foam and Can You Make It at Home? | Eater

"What was once a menu of syrupy espresso stunts has shifted toward iced coffee drinks topped with cold foam — a chilled, meringue-like nonfat-milk topping popularized by the company. Originating in 2014 as part of an Americano con Crema at its Reserve Roastery and piloted through Reserve Bar locations in 2017 before a wider U.S. and Canada rollout in April 2018, cold foam (made from nonfat milk for stronger protein-driven froth) now appears in at least a dozen menu iterations — from cold brew with cold foam and nitro varieties to seasonal offerings like pumpkin cream cold brew — and can be added to most iced beverages. The brand optimized the format with a special bladed blender and a strawless lid with a triangular opening (designed by an engineer in R&D) to preserve the layered presentation; its popularity has been boosted by layered-beverage social-media trends and by business data showing cold drinks drove the majority of recent beverage growth." - Brenna Houck

Google
ame here every day to grab my breakfast croissant and coffee, and every time it was perfect. They have a great view, and it was right across from our hotel, which was a big plus for me. Definitely recommend it!

# 4692 2035 Yukon st, Vancouver. I sometimes going to have my coffee in this store. Recently few time visiting to this location for my coffee. This gentleman who served my coffee was so polite, positive, efficient, specially he treats people with respect and very nice smile. Specially I noticed he valued my business and I saw his enthusiasm to other staff. He is out standing employee for this store. I been visiting to this store years ago. I was treated very poorly and badly. That’s the reason I stopped using this store for my coffee. I wish him good luck future. I can recommend him for management position for sure. He is awsome. Thank you for my fresh coffee in the morning. Take care. God bless everyone. From customer, # 01 David.

Customer Service 3 Quality 8 No clean and so much paper garbage everywhere. Isn't table inside so must be easy to take care for a balcony. No washroom. Location fantastic but this Starbucks need absolutely to be check from management. Doesn't rappresent none Starbucks around the world. Is nice to drink or having food on clean tables and floor too.

Thank you so much for not sending me to the other location where is my order supposed to be! Enjoying my Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frap😋

Google
Is this Starbucks coffee? This store has the worst service I’ve experienced in years. First, I was given half a cup of a drink. When I asked why, she impatiently said it was because I requested “light ice.” However, it wasn’t light ice—it was half ice. Additionally, while making the drink, she kept asking the girl next to her how to prepare it, and when I asked her a question, she complained to that girl. As for the other drink, a hot chocolate, she poured in cold milk first, then added concentrated hot chocolate. The result was a lukewarm drink with a very grainy texture.

I dropped by this store over the long weekend, and unfortunately, the drink made by a partner named Eve didn’t turn out well. My friend asked for a small change, but it was tough to communicate because she didn’t seem to understand us. The interaction felt a bit awkward, and the service overall wasn’t great, so we ended up going to a different nearby store the next day.

Google
Rude worker and manager denying a basic human right on a hot day, was doing a shoot with a client and just wanted a couple of small cups of ice water. Was denied and was told I had to spend money to get free water, highly illegal.

Yelp
Date of visit: July 21, 2025 When Alaska Airlines had a big IT outage and canceled our flight as we were preparing to disembark our cruise ship, this was a great place to stop and regroup with the WiFi. That I needed a British Columbia mug for a friend was a nice bonus as well as they were plentiful. Staff was friendly and advised me of the price of a bag before giving me one so I could pass on that and just tuck it in my luggage instead. Really the only downgrade here was that one of the doors was a piece of plywood, making the location look dumpier than it actually is.

Yelp
this starbucks may be tiny, tucked right next to the pan pacific, but it definitely punches above its weight in foot traffic, especially when cruise ships dock. inside, the high ceilings and industrial touches make it feel more spacious than it is, with a nostalgic coffee themed mural running across the upper wall. warm lighting, earthy tones, and a front counter packed with snacks and cheerful gift cards (one literally said "you are awesome") give the space a friendly, slightly chaotic charm. there's some limited seating outside too, which drops you right into the middle of all the lively tourist buzz. i popped in craving my new go to: the iced pistachio oat latte. and was told it's not available, only seasonal. pity. i ended up with a "matcha mermaid," which sounded magical but tasted more like strawberry syrup water. the matcha was weak, i could barely taste it. not my best drink day, but still a fun little stop with good energy, just be ready to wait in line if you're swinging by during cruise ship season.

Yelp
This Starbucks is extremely busy every morning. I can never do mobile app ordering here. I don't understand it... and crazy that it takes so long and inefficient. Not much more to say... Oh they have slow Wi-Fi too.

Yelp
Saturday morning 8am...waited 15 mintues for a mobile order...it was for a Grande Pike. Pretty simple order and I finally left without my coffee. It is a terrible location. If you ever get your coffee it is weak. I was desparate today but will go without a morning coffee to avoid this location

Yelp
From the good Ol USA and had to have a beverage from Starbucks in Canada . I think your is better than ours ( California )

Yelp
This is a general comment on Starbucks policies, not about this location specifically. Would love to see a huge conglomerate like Starbucks be a little more generous to those in need. Rather than tossing everything out, they could participate in programs like Refood here in Vancouver, which accepts food donations and takes on any and all liability issues related to the food if anything were to happen. There are so many people in need.

Yelp
Friendly staffs and lots of outdoor sittings. A cover over the sitting area as well and garbage can outside. Parkings beneath but there's other public parking. A bit further but walkable to bus stops and skytrain station too
google avatar

Anson L.

Yelp
How does one evaluate a Starbucks? I'm a fan of this location since a lot of people getting off the skytrain during work hours won't come by this one. Odds are it's a lot faster to get in and out with your order. Also a huge fan of the staff at this location. There's a handful of really friendly folks that I love to talk with. My personal Starbucks of choice. Only downside are when conventions are happening, the lineups get a little crazy. It's infrequent enough that I don't find it a huge hindrance.

Yelp
Stopped by for some quick refreshment while touring Canada Place. Convenient location right nearby for cruise ships and fellow tourists. As mentioned elsewhere, indoor seating is limited. But it was a beautiful day, and the outdoor seating had plenty of open tables. Attractive design that blends in with the Canada Place themes.

Yelp
Most unfriendly Starbucks location I ever been to. Store Manager (brown guy) stepped in to the conversation between me and the cashier without knowing all the details. Funny enough, he kept insisting that I don't understand what he was explaining when in fact he was the one who was totally out of the loop. Replace this store manager. Prime location like at the Pan Pacific hotel, Starbucks should be extremely picky with who they put in charge. This store manager is an SOB thru and thru. He clearly needs to be trained by his staff on customer service.

Yelp
Great location on the waterfront. I ordered my drink wrong and Noah fixed it for me quickly and with a smile. It's busy because of the location. The patio seating was nice...brisk so wear your sweater!

Yelp
My husband, friend and I came by yesterday and ordered three drinks. Grande Iced Cold Brew (as is), Grande Iced Coffee with Milk but no sweetener, and Grande Iced Coffee with White Mocha Chocolate Syrup but no milk because my friend was lactose intolerant. I got 3 Iced Coffees with Milk, 2 without sweetener and one with the white mocha. We let the barista know and she went ahead to correct the order. After a short wait, the G iced coffee with no milk but white mocha syrup was still incorrect. We got the G cold brew right this time. She tried to add milk but we stopped her. Space is small but it didn't bother us. The service was okay and the location is convenient for locals and tourists alike. Everyone behind the counter seemed like they were stressed and just trying to push through the line. I don't even think they were reading the instructions on the cups, and the barista making our drinks was clearly frazzled. More training might be needed at this location.

Yelp
With Starbucks drinks being so expensive, I expect the baristas to be helpful and provide suggestions.. and I'm a pretty picky drinker and know that they all have the opportunity to taste different things and be inventive. Being at a previous starbucks - someone told me to try apple juice with my Vanilla Roobis Tea Latte... so I thought I would try it at THIS starbucks. I wasn't sure what to expect so I asked them what they thought.. The baristas seemed uninterested and definitely not helpful. I really hate foam because I feel like my drink is not full so specifically requested no foam.. however, the drink was definitely filled with foam and I was just getting excuses from the barista telling me that airating soy milk makes it foamy........ fine I know.... I would rather let the milk sit then. I finished my drink, opened the lid and sure enough.. all the foam was lined around the paper cup. Sorry, I just needed to vent.

Yelp
OMG -- I've never been in such a poorly run Starbucks. We visited one night while walking around convention center area. There were two people in front of us in line and it took like 10 minutes to order. There was only 1 person working. Yes, 1 person to do both register and barista work. And, he wasn't a very good one.

Yelp
Got off the Canada Place terminal and needed some free wifi. How convenient was this! Especially for tourists who need to know where they are or going. Very limited indoor seating but there's a spacious patio- hopefully it isn't raining. Their prices aren't different than other Starbucks, it tastes the same, too. So this location is all about convenience for me!

Yelp
Busy! But for a lot of reasons, great location, outside seating, full menu including pour over. Not a coffee shop to leasurely hang out and enjoy a cuppa. The staff was harried and, while very nice, not really putting the attention into service like a high quality barista should. I actually had to talk them into doing a Blond Pour Over for me. They said that they normally only do a pour over for decaf orders. ?? I think I read that there are about 30 Sbux within 1km of here. If that is true, I would definitely pick a different location and hope for better.

Yelp
The shop is always busy on weekends and holidays with many visitors. It's a good location that's easy to stop by and have a nice break there. There are many Starbucks everywhere, but I haven't had a Starbucks' coffee for many years. I was hooked on the coffee for a while, but one day I realized that the remaining (unfinished) coffee has turned to curdle like glue which looked obviously unhealthy. Since then, I've naturally stopped to drink the coffee from Starbucks. Also, there are something to go with coffee sold there, but those were also chemical contained and I didn't want to eat it. That experience was in my home country and at least a few years ago, so the shops in here might be different and developed and upgraded. It may depend on what you order though, the shop is convenient to have a coffee break there with friends because of the location.

Yelp
I shop at Starbucks weekly. This was my first time to this location. I was excited to see that this location brought back the Petite Vanilla Scone. Too bad the person at the front counter didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for one. I am hopeful that he was new. I ordered my usual soy latte, which tasted good and an oatmeal. They decided to drown my oatmeal with too much water and it became oat soup! I had about two bites of it before throwing it out, they also added scolding hot water which didn't work in their favour of this review. I am guessing the person who completed my oatmeal by adding water to the stock dish had never had oatmeal before. It's a convenient location but it looks like they need to spend a little more time training the staff at this location.

Yelp
This location is small and there is not a lot of selections in the window for eating, however, it is one of the SB that has decent hours being inside a hotel. This place was my saving grace during the Fax Expo but this isn't my voluntary go to location. The barista who was serving me was awesomely patient and polite.

Yelp
Great and efficient service all week! Thanks for the hospitality!

Yelp
I feel like this place has gotten new management since the last time it was reviewed. The baristas were SO helpful and friendly and despite there being a line I was in and out super quickly. I also love this location for the GIANT patio outside... one of the best you could ask for in the summer time. They said they're getting renovated soon which should help with the dated look inside, but everything else is great!

Yelp
Ady is a hero. I didn't know what I wanted and he made a drink I enjoyed all the way home through traffic. Twas nice.
