Great old school bowling alley, good prices the Lebowski grill has delicious food for a bowling alley. Lanes are meticulously maintained. The general manager John is great very accommodating. He’s always on top Of things and makes sure everyone has a great bowling experience

We were lucky enough to book our son's 5th birthday party at Stardust. John, the GM, and staff were amazing. Building is well maintained and clean, and safe for family fun of all ages. We will definitely be back to bowl more often; can't wait to get him into a league!

We have been coming here for the past 6 to 8 for high school and college bowling tournaments. The blowing alley is always clean and the employees are always kind & helpful. You can tell that they take pride in how the place looks and provide wonderful customer service. Food is always good...

Do NOT BOOK ONLINE!! THEY CHARGE $10 BOOKING FEE!!!! I booked a reservation for my husband and I to bowl and after checking out I was doing the math (yes I should have done that before submitting payment) but it didn’t make sense. There was a ten dollar fee and I brought it up at check in and the manager John confirmed that it was a booking fee. I would have given them a 1 star but John was friendly and reasonable. To add insult to injury- we ordered nachos, they were fine. Ya know, bowling alley nachos. Half of them were bare chips and I went up for a side of sour cream (it was in the description and we didn’t get it initially) and a side of salsa - and they wanted .60 for a side of salsa. Yeah, 60 cents is no big deal but it’s the principle that it should just be included with your bare minimum nachos. All of this to say, this place isn’t doing anything to bring customers back. It’s so disappointing. We wanted to like this place and I feel taken advantage of.

Awesome time bowling and the kids loved the arcade. Clean, friendly staff, not crowded. Great time and will be back

My daughter has been bowling at Stardust for 5 years now on the youth and travel team. We love the coaches and atmosphere. The coaches and staff are amazing. Very rarely do we come and not get an available lane. Lanes are kept up nice and the over all bowling alley is clean. Food menu is good. Recommend the Reuben sandwich.

Fun time for the whole family. Plenty of selections for balls and shoe rental. Also arcade has plenty of games for a reasonable price. Minimum is only $5 which is nice.

My special needs mom moved into the area this year and I decided to try to take her bowling. The staff, including Marcus, was very accommodating and we’ve already gone back a second time! Thank you for providing this opportunity.

Service - Sue, Kelly and Kim are the best bartenders in the place!! Always super fast, super sweet and pour great drinks!! Food is usually on point.. my personal.favorite is the Mexican food because the salsa is fresh and to die for!! The only thing I don't like is the smoking section outside is not HEATED in the winter...

This place is a true family friendly establishment. Perfect for those days when your kids are home from school. John, the GM, was fantastic. He happily refunded our second game when he saw our kids were melting down after the first game. Instead of saying "sorry you already paid" (which would have been totally understandable), he happily gave us a refund and let us know we are welcome back whenever.

My family has been bowling here for about 5 years now. My daughter is currently on the youth and travel teams here. All the coaches and staff are amazing. There are many lanes so very rarely will you have issues getting an open lane unless they are hosting a big tournament. Lanes are kept well and facilities are clean. Restaurant menu is decent. Recommend the Reuben sandwich. Nice arcade and they have pool tables tho I've never used them so I can't comment on the quality. Pro Shop is great as well.

It was our first time there. It was our very first time to play bowling. We were surprise that the staff are very pleasant and they seem to really love their job. Very accommodating to us. The place is decent and clean. We had a blast.

It is do clean. The lanes are taken care of and for $15 during a weekday you can bowl for an hour. No game limits!

My family and I had such a blast at Stardust today I couldn't wait to get home to leave a review. On this Veteran's Day we couldn't think of any better way to spend the day together other than hitting up a bowling lane complete with an arcade. We started with two games and a pitcher, and the best perk was our lane was directly in front of the bar (super convenient). The bar also offered food so we grabbed tacos and a couple hotdogs. The prices for each meal were very satisfying for the generous serving sizes. We ended our third game and made our way over to the arcade. We loaded up a card with some credits and got lost in the nostalgia. We totaled up our tickets and redeemed them for prizes. We left with huge smiles on our faces anxious to return in a couple weeks' time.

Stardust is an incredible palce to bowl. As a bowler I find the lanes well taken care and the atmospher warm welcoming and fun. Staff and bar tenders are amazingly helpful and inviting. I am excited about joining a league at this facility. I do wish I had chosen a different nickame other than "Homey".

Came here for the first time with my husband about a month ago, and it was fun! When we walked in, we couldn't believe how many bowling lanes there were! I think there are 80+ all lined up! They also have a bar/lounge and an arcade. We came on a Monday afternoon, so when we came, it was pretty slow, but we made a reservation to make our check-in easier. The people working were helpful with getting our reservation, but a little moody when we didn't know where to stand at first to check-in for our reservation. They were two older ladies. We reserved a lane and a pair of shoes for an hour and a half, and it honestly seemed expensive to us... but we haven't gone bowling in so long that maybe that's just how much bowling is everywhere. You rent the lane by how long you're playing instead of how many games you played and instead of per person, so because it was just me and my husband, we were able to finish like 4 games but we were so tired before then. Next time, I'd put 1 hour for only 2 people. For us to rent a lane for 1.5 hours, it was more than $60 because we needed the shoe rental. Idk, it seemed a bit crazy to me, but again, maybe everywhere is like that now. We did have a lot of fun and the place was pretty clean. Our reservation had our lane ALL the way at the end of the place, so we weren't around anyone at all which was nice. Random, but a big tip, DO NOT DRINK FROM THE WATER FOUNTAIN. My husband refilled his water bottle and almost vomited from how bad the water tasted.

I come here every week to bowl in one of their leagues. I've been two different leagues now and they've both been awesome and give out good prizes and what not! If you need to pre-bowl that can be a bit confusing as it's only certain hours like 10-5 on weekdays only and only if you call before. Which can be a bit hard for those who work a 9-5 job. That would be my only complaint. The bartenders are super nice and the food isn't bad at all for a bowling alley. Everything is pretty clean. Very decent bowling alley. Definitely recommend.

Stardust Bowl is the pinnacle of bowling alleys! 1,000 lanes, karaoke, dance floor/music, video poker, food, drink, kids arcade...basically an extravaganza of fun!!! So, I'm not a bowler (I really suck at it), not from the Midwest, not really into karaoke or video poker...or bowling alley food...even kids arcades (ok, drinks yes), but this place is AWESOME! On a recent business trip to the area, I was blessed with the opportunity to join a league for two consecutive Thursday nights matches...uh, what do you call it...games, sets, rounds? Anyhow, I was terrible. However, it was fun and the folks were very welcoming - thank you! I'm currently busy studying bowling terms for my return to Stardust Bowl in hopes of impressing my new crew. In case you're interested, learn with me: Bowling Terms - A to Z Approach - The act of taking steps towards the lane before rolling the ball; also the name of the area directly behind the foul line that contains three sets of dots used for lining up of the feet. Angle of Entry - The direction that a bowling ball takes when hooking into the pocket. Backup Ball - A ball thrown with reverse spin: hooking from left to right for right-handers and right to left for left-handers. Big Four or Big Ears - 4-6-7-10 split (also Double Pinochle, Golden Gate) Bed Posts - Another way to refer to the 7-10 split Blind - In league play, when one of the members of a team is not present, using his or her average instead (often with a ten pin penalty) Boards - One-inch wide strips of wood that you can see along the width of the bowling lane. There are 39 boards in total, and are numbered from right to left for right-handed bowlers. (Lefties count from left to right.) Brooklyn - Hitting the wrong side of the head pin. For a right-handed bowler this would be the left side of the head pin, also known as the 1-2 pocket. For left-handers this would be reversed. (A Brooklyn Strike occurs when a bowler scores a strike by hitting the Brooklyn side.) Carry - The ability of the bowling ball to knock down more pins. Cincinatti - Nickname for the 8-10 split. Clean Game - A game with no open frames, that is, in which all the frames are either a strike or spare. Dead Wood - Pins that have been knocked over but stay sitting on the lane or in the gutter, as a result of having missed being cleared away. They must be cleared as soon as possible in an official game. Double Pinochle - 4-6-7-10 split. (Also Big Four, Big Ears, Golden Gate) Dry - Lanes that have been applied with little oil. This causes the ball to hook more than usual Fingertip - A bowling grip in which your fingers are only inserted up to the first joint. It results in more hook, but is much harder to control. For this reason it is a grip for intermediate and advanced players. Five-Bagger - Five consecutive strikes Foul Line - The line that marks the start of a bowling lane. If your foot crosses the line, it is known as a fault and zero pins are scored. (If pins were knocked down, the pins are reset before the second ball is thrown.) Four-Bagger - Four consecutive strikes Golden Gate - 4-6-7-10 Split (Also Big Four, Big Ears, Double Pinochle) Handicap - Usually reserved for league play, this term refers to an amount of pins added to your actual score that is meant to even the playing field for bowlers of differing skill levels. Handicaps are what makes bowling so inclusive; anyone can compete against anyone else regardless of their experience. If you're still reading this, I award you 5 stars along with Stardust Bowl! Wanted to bowl with grandkids. Wouldn't allow bumper use for my small petite 9 yr old granddaughter. Cutoff was 8 yrs old. No exceptions! Decided to leave & not give them our business.

Very family oriented environment. We visited in the late evening and had a blast. Nice staff & security.

No frills bowling alley with 84 lanes, outdated compared to fancy bowling alleys but clean and functional. Family owned feel. There was also a decent arcade with good variety of games.

It was my first time here. I came with my brother and some friends. The lanes are very nice and they seem to be on the newer end. I asked my brother if they remodeled the place and he said that because this place holds a lot of tournaments they upkeep it very well. They are still remodeling half the location but so far it looks good. Now my experience was fun. I'm not into bowling competitive like my brother and his friends. I tagged along to release some stress per say. It worked because after bowling for a couple hours my fingers were ready to fall out. I don't know how people do it to bowl almost everyday like my brother and his friends. The lanes are very shiny and well maintained. But yelpers be sure to use the proper shoes. Otherwise you will be slipping and sliding everywhere. I was lucky enough that I borrowed a pair of shoes. But I did notice some people bowling with regular shoes and they kept on falling. All in all this location looks old on the outside but as soon as you walk in you feel that sense of fun environment that anyone can enjoy. They do have billiards and a nice bar area. I didn't try it out but it looked great for parties or to have a night out with friends. I hope everyone who checks this place out likes it as much as I did.

Was looking forward for a nice Monday bowling with the family. We waited in line to get our shoes and lane. As we're entering our names we realized we forgot to inform the front that we needed bumpers for one of our bowler. Once in line again I find out that our lane had broken bumpers and we could not put them up for my 4 year old niece. We adjust and stay in the lane. As I approach the bar to order a couple of shot's I get charged for 4 shots as the bartender pour the remaining shots for herself. As one bartender asked the other what the extra shots were I also asked if I was getting charged for the extra shots she had pour. I did not leave a tip and they rudely let me know how nice of me not tipping them. First, if you do not know how to measure drinks correctly and there is still left overs the common sense is to wait as the customer has walks away . Secondly if I did not like the service I should not have to be obligated to tip. My brother in law also got a pitcher and paid with a card gave her cash tip and also was told about the tip. If there is a requirement for tips a sign should be posted regardless of the service

Was surprised that they did not ID me, although I was of legal age to drink, they didn't ask me. I even asked one of the guys if he needed to see my ID and he said no, he believed me. Drinks were small and tasted bad. Old woman behind the bar looked like she didn't want to be there. Blonde bartender was so sweet and kind. One thing I did find strange was that the only balls we could find were 12 and up-we wanted lighter ones, like 8 and 9s but there were none. I asked the workers at the counter and said I'm looking for a lighter ball because there are none and they pointed me to go further down and guess what? Nothing! I have never experienced this while going to a bowling alley, ever! It was a joke.

I've never been to an establishment we're staff members make a true effort to cause you to feel awkward. The pure hostility could be felt by my entire family the whole time we were there. I'm not sure what really the problem is. If you look anything other than white, you will be starred at, mistreated and they will maliciously make your experience very unpleasant to make every attempt to cause you to want to leave sooner then later. I was mortified that these type of business ethics or people like this still exist. Shame on you. Please support another local business that will truly appreciate all its patrons and make you feel welcome. This certainly is not it.

so apparently one of this idiots im sorry i meant workers is a shoe expert making a bug deal about them shoes when i had bowling shoes thats what it said when i purchased them is not like im trying to save the way expensive show rental of 5 dls but i wanted to use my own damn shoes this guy kept on walking by us i felt very uncomfortable instead of spending a nice time with the family i was just mad that they be checking up on people for "safety " i call that BS ... the food in general is plain bad the pizza was just bad youre better off making one at home a frozen one the wings not good .. bad food bad service overall

Alright, to say this place is big is a slight understatement. Let's just say that it has over 80 lanes, I mean I've never counted but we'll average out what other yelpers have written. If you want a cheap place to bowl, this is it. Mind you, the place is a little dingy, but you can always bring your own party to lighten the place up! They also have pool tables and three nice sized bars. Stardust is also the only place where you'll find a delicious alcoholic concoction known simply as "Nancy's Special". Curious yet? ;)

I came here over 4 years ago for my birthday, for the endless bowl at 10. Here we are again on a Friday night for unlimited bowl $14 plus shoes! Like it doesn't get better than that. Not only is it good prices but this place is huge and up to date. This is 3x's as big as a Brunswick. Great music choices and open late. Perfect for friends or family night out, the ambience fits both.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Came in on a Saturday night with 5 other friends after dinner to drink/bowl. My first impression of the place was that it was fairly bigger inside than outside. Walked up to the bar to grab drinks and the bartender (older woman with long dark/red hair) starts to ID us. Of course all of us show our ID's to her, & my boyfriend, (who was 29 at the time) is from Indiana but lives in Illinois currently, shows her his ID and she denies to serve him. He showed her ANOTHER form of identification and she still wouldn't serve him. She had the ugliest attitude with all of us, and I wouldn't write this review had she been a little kinder to us. I'm a bartender and work in the industry and I have NO clue how this woman landed a job behind the bar.. We ended up leaving, will probably never be back.

I used to love going to this place but the staff makes me feel very uncomfortable and sometimes they can come off as rude. Every time I feel intimidated by the environment. I love bowling and I used to love coming here all the time but every time I tried coming it would be really full or I would have to wait for lanes to be empty again which I clearly didn't have time for. I get that it is busy on the weekends but it is disappointing there are no other good alleys in the area to go to. Nevertheless, I haven't been here in the longest because there is never a good opportunity to bowl.

Very nice clean bowling alley. Remodeled floors and very nice cozy lanes. Honestly the customer service is out of this world! So nice and genuine (its hard to come by these days). If you're looking for a great place to take the kids or just hang out with buddies, i'd highly recommend this bowling alley. This is me and my families new bowling alley from now on. PS To the customer service staff that helped me retrieve my wallet after i had left, i appreciate it wholeheartedly and will be paying it forward. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my family!

Great place to be bowling, also there's 2 Great lady's at the front desk, is a big place,is plenty of room for anyone to have fun here,and the Pro-Shop is also great with great staff

Been going now for years and all 4 of my kids now bowl here. They just did more remodeling and updates. Added a new snack shop and arcade room! This place is great but you will find a couple staff members not in the best of moods.

Love the bowling, obviously! The food is a pleasant surprise! Much better than you'd expect from a bowling alley, plus the staff is fantastic!! The fresh cut fries are Heather was super helpful and not only helped me order, but ensured my order was just as I had hoped. I will definitely be going back!!!

This place is huge with its 84 lanes of bowling. this place is also very old as it has been open for 50 years. From looking at its current decor I think it received it's last face lift in 1978. Although the place has dated itself it is in good repair. I did say this place was huge right? It is nearly a full city block long. I was pleased that they had three bars strategically placed along the length of the building so a cold brew is only a few steps away! Plus they have your typical pro shop and snack shop too. For shoes, three games of bowling, nachos, and four Heinekens. It put me back about $38. Although my beers cost more than the shoes and bowling combined Our lanes were in top working order, the staff was friendly and a good time was had by all.

Place itself is kinda old/run down but it's not too bad but the service is terrible. Old lady at the bar was super rude and when I handed her my ID she kept bending it and putting up to the light and then to my face thinking it was not real or mine and was not going to accept it until I showed her my military ID which was my only other ID I had on me. After she finally sold me my beer I did not even want to go back up to the bar because I did not wanna deal with her unpleasantness. Definitely will not be coming back anytime soon

This is definitely a good choice for a weekend bowling excursion. They have like 168416 lanes and are priced right. I mean, you are definitely going to see some creepy Hispanic guys playing pool and winking at you...but that's all part of the fun, right?! =] This has been our spot for years and definitely will continue to be in the years to come. I just wish Nancy, the bartender, still worked there...I really miss her "Nancy's Special" this concoction of like 4 liquors and some juice or somthinnnn...RIP Nancy's Special...I miss you girl!

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. Yes this is an 84 lane SuperBowlingAlley. Yes it has 3 bars, even though they advertise 2.75 PBRs and Millers. Yes it is huge. This was the host for the Illinois Special Olympic Bowling Finale today, the 18th. I was there in the morning (while there was still dew on the grass) and they were ready. They had the staff there ready to handle many different people's capabilities. There were numerous calls for the staff to fish the stalled gutterballs and the staff were more than happy to help them out. I didn't see any of the staff cursing under their breath, or taking the slow walk. No, they were fast and efficient. So for the staff at the Stardust, five big stars. The actual alley gets five stars as well. They have a large parking lot across the street, snack shops scattered throughout and many house balls. Solid establishment, worth the five stars.

This place has a ton of lanes and wonderful staff. I highly recommend. Prices are excellent too!

Had my kid's bday party here. It took weeks to get a response to reserve the date. Little did I know this was an indication of how things are run. A host was supposedly included, however we consistently had to ask questions bc no one would update us on Lane activation, shoe request, food ordering etc. I provided 3 stars bc the area was clean and the food was great.

love this place!!! staff is so nice and bowling is so fun the lane next to me would not stop tooting tho!also got 5 gutter balls

I love this place. It's huge compared to most Bowling alleys. It's so big that back in the day when people could still smoke cigarettes, you can still bowl and not smell like smoke. They have pretty cheap drink/beer specials. All you can bowl days are cool since you can pretty much bowl until your arm falls off. Lanes are pretty nice. Staff is friendly. Yes, the scoring monitors are a little dated, but who cares. As long as it keeps score, I could care less. It's just a minor detail in what is a really nice place to get your game and drink on without having to wait for an alley.

Seriously racism！！！The old white tall guy who working in front table makes me and my boyfriend problems everytime,we wanted to play the billiards,since we met a drunk guy try to talk with us in the position where close to the door,we are not willing to play there anymore and try to change to inside one,but this "White guy"said inside that one is broken,they didn't fix yet bcz not many people use that,then we have no choose ,but 10 minutes later,he take somebody else inside to use that table,are you kidding me? my boyfriend go ask him what's going on now,he answered "My boss said that we need fill the tables which close to the door first,then we can give the tables inside to the customer !and the tables inside are only for legal people!"Excuse me???this is how American employee can talk to customers now? First of alI we both have ID!!! he don't tell the truth but choose lie to us! and what is that mean only for legal people?I can't believe this place hire such a stupid employee,since first time we argued at front table,and at that time he looks like come to me try to kill me fight with me or something,my boyfriend wanted to stop him, actually I didn't do anything to him,After that every time we go to play I didn't mad at him anymore ,then this just happened again, bad guy always bad!!! We tried to respect them ,but he never did the same thing to us! Just ruined our days ! If this happens to someone else too,just don't go back there anymore,don't ruined your day with your family!!! (This employee he should be fired! NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!!!)

We love this place. My kids and I are here atleast 3+ days a week during off season from league. Stardust is our home away from home. If you want to bowl, just come here. 84 lanes, an awesome pro shop, good food, cheap drinks. They have Money pins, where you can win some cash. The people working here are some of the best people i met and i have become friends with a few of em. By far, the BEST place to go

Great bowling ally with a row of lanes that are endless. Owners are down to earth and very nice. This business has been there for decades so you would think it would look like 70s. It's an old school ally, but clean, updated, and great staff. Look forward to our next visit.

If you're looking for a place to bowl where you are guaranteed a lane right away, go to Stardust bowl. They have 84 lanes to play on. On Friday and Saturday nights at 10pm-2am, they have unlimited bowling for $12. Can't go wrong with that. The lanes are pretty well maintained and oiled.

This place gots everything. It's so fun kids love it and it's great for adults. They have over 80 lanes. Few snack bars pool tables small arcade decent prices some slots machines nice bar specials. Also they have a pro shop which is really neat. Place itself was clean granted loud but that's what u expect from a busy establishment. Don't forget to sign up for their email club and mobile club as they send some great specials quite often. Now it's not as fancy of a bowling alley as lucky strike or pinstripes but it's still fun nonetheless. I love coming here.

Bad experience. Bowling is fine until pin got mixed up. Customer service was extremely unpleasant. None of the workers care about the equipment doesn't work right for us. I would rather pay more and go to Pinstripes.

So here I am enjoying a game of bowling with family and we decide to play some arcade games. I see the big crane drop and immediately head to it. I'm a pro at this. Literally everything I securely pick up is dropped because the crane opens right up. I stand and spend 40$ on this game and now I'm like ok this thing has to be broken. So I speak with someone at the counter. The older lady tells me oh something happened least week and she would need to get to a manager. Then next a younger girl with glasses and boy come over and ask what game I was talking about and the boy tells me it's rigged and that's how it works. The manager comes and tells me the same thing. That it's just how the game works. I play these games in every store or arcade I go in. That's not how it works. He pretty much shrugs and said well hey you want this mini plastic football. No I don't. I wanted the stuffed animal I spent $55 dollars on with your rigged game! Do not waste your money in the arcade area. Stick to bowling

Stardust is a great old school bowling alley with a new renovation. The lanes are great good for serious bowlers and recreational bowling. The bar and lounge are great. Also has the best pro shop in the area
