Our family tradition go to Lake Tahoe during Christmas break for Vacation. This year we stayed at Stardust Lodge” Vacation resort “ . |We love this place- |1. Perfect location such as, dining, beach shopping and the Heavenly Gondola for skiing. Walking distance to everywhere. |2. Great Service: I go to front desk to refill my coffee. Mr. Kenny who is office Manager asked me about our trip. I told him we got to hotel so late, and we were afraid won’t able to check in hotel on Christmas night because of Heavy Snowstorm . He is so generous offering us special discount. Thank you Mr. Kenny. |3. Clean Room: our room comes with full kitchen great for family.|4. Staffers are very friendly and helpful. |That why we voted for this place 5 starts. |Thank you for making our vacation so joyful and lovely. We would highly recommend this place for everyone.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Stardust Hotel – South Lake Tahoe My experience at the Stardust Hotel was unacceptable, largely due to extremely poor customer service. At check-in, the room keys I was given did not work. I had to return to the front desk twice. During both interactions, the receptionist never even looked up at me. After the second visit, I was told that maintenance would be sent to fix the issue. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, nothing. When I calmly asked whether I should wait in the lobby or go back to the room, the receptionist suddenly began yelling at me, telling me that if I gave her “any more attitude” I would be forced to leave the lobby. I was shocked. I was polite and simply asking a reasonable question after repeated failures on their end. I have never been treated anywhere close to this poorly by hotel staff or customer service. As for location and value: it is not worth the price. The gondola is frequently on wind hold—more than half the time—making the proximity largely meaningless. Even if this hotel appears cheap compared to others, you are still overpaying for what you get. Between the hostile front desk experience and the poor value, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in South Lake Tahoe.

My wife and I just spent a week at the Stardust Lodge, had a great time. The room was very nice and the staff were so attentive to our needs. We had to adjust to the banging pipes from the water heater/boiler that would provide heat to the room, I reported that issue a couple times and they were able to get the noise a little quieter although it was still there. It was a perfect time of year to visit, in between seasons so not too busy.

Tried to check in when my reservations were made. They said I was 2 days early. They had vacancies but they wanted me to pay. I left.|Came back when they said. Got a ground floor room. Easy to bring in luggage. Couldn't get TV to work. They used my remote to control their TV. I had to push the TV button. Read the info binder which said sofa-sleeper. Couldn't open it. They had a cot folded up. Set it up & slept there. Had to make up the cot from items in closet Went to breakfast & talked to someone. They came to my room & showed me the wall bed already made up. Undid the cot but could not fold it up. They came to do it|Could not get Internet on my Android. They put in a special code. Could not log into the computer in breakfast room. They came & helped. Very responsive team.

Location to everything was great food variety, activities, gambling, etc.. Across the street from the Gondolas skiing. The limited breakfast provided was excellent and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the daily activities that we did w granddaughter.

We love the staff at the Stardust, they always make us feel at home. Kenny, GM; front desk, Gabby, Nicole, Talia, Luis ; community room, Elizabeth, Victor and don’t forget housekeeping, Maria and maintenance, Anaulfo and son. And so many more. We love our room and the ability to gather with friends for my birthday. We’ll be back for Thanksgiving family special event. We love the proximity to Heavenly village...walking distance to so much!! Don't think that this outside older looking drive-up doesn't impress inside. Hot tub is great! Ping Pong and rec room activities are awesome for all ages. We stayed at the Stardust Lodge for 2 weeks, 2 adults in a 1 bedroom unit. We have stayed at the Stardust before and continue to enjoy our stays. The unit is very clean and housekeeping works all week long deep cleaning units. Since the seasons were changing from summer to fall, floor fan units were not needed anymore. Housekeeping was vacuuming each unit before storing for next years guests. They removed rugs from rooms and were beating them with brooms and letting them air out on balconies.||The 1 bedroom unit has a king size bed and a sleeper couch. The kitchen is small but sufficient. No oven, but microwave, dishwasher, 2 burner unit, pots, plates, utensils, coffee pot, blender, etc. The Stardust does provide complimentary breakfast in the mornings (donuts, waffles, hard boiled eggs, bananas, oranges, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, apple juice). You can pick up breakfast items and eat in your room or in the activity center which has tables and chairs. ||The Stardust does have daily activities available (see photo), some pay and some free. There is always fresh popcorn available in the front office. 2 hot tubs and 2 pools with one pool closed during the winter season. Bicycles are available during summer months. There is not an elevator and 2 floors of units. WiFi works well. ||The staff are very friendly and ask how we are doing, how can they help, etc. Thank you to Lizette, Alex and Victor in the activities center. Gaby in the front desk was nice and friendly. Marcos was a member of the maintenance team and he provided education on local bears and waved to us daily. ||The location is great. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, Target, local stores, casinos and hiking areas. We hope to return.

This was perfectly located across the street from Heavenly and two blocks from the Casinos at state line! Heavenly hosts a variety of restaurants, live music, family friendly magicians at The Loft, miniature golf and the Heavenly Gondola that takes you up to the ski lifts etc! There's something for everyone! The accommodations were perfect and quite comfortable ( full size Queen) !! We had a 1bdrm with a pull out and full kitchen and air conditioning. The Shower has dual heads ! They had daily activities available for both adults and kids. There were a lot of families staying there and they were afforded quality time BBQing, playing table games outside , swimming in one of two heated pools and hot tubs. Free bike rentals as well as beach chairs & umbrellas. Brand new bikes were being unwrapped while we were there. The beach was about 6 blocks away with a playground & restaurant. Thankfully the Stardust has passes for $5ea! So we definitely took advantage of the beautiful lake and hung out in the water to beat the heat! the Manager was extremely helpful & let us know that gondola's tickets are cheaper online

Heartbroken After 21 Years of Loyalty I have been coming to this property for 21 years. My family owns two timeshare units here, and for many of those years, it truly felt like a second home -- a place filled with love, tradition, and special memories. Unfortunately, I have not returned in the past three years due to a deeply upsetting and traumatic experience with management. It's taken me a long time to find the courage to share this, but I feel I owe it to others -- and to myself. For years, we booked two units at the same time -- one for my adult son and one (VIP) for my husband, daughter, and myself. On our last visit, we arrived one day late due to a cancer treatment appointment for my son, who has been bravely fighting a rare cancer since he was 10. He is now 21. When we arrived, we were told my son's unit had been cancelled. I was stunned. I had confirmation numbers and absolutely never cancelled it. Why would I? We always travel together and had planned this trip well in advance. I asked them to correct the mistake and help us find a solution, but was told over and over again that "there was nothing they could do." Then the manager -- someone we had known for years and always treated with kindness and generosity -- came out and escalated the situation in a way I never expected. Over the years, we had shown our appreciation by bringing him small gifts or offering end-of-stay bonuses -- gestures from the heart, never out of obligation. However, it began to feel as though our treatment depended on those extras. And during the prior stay -- when we hadn't offered a bonus -- the warmth we once knew disappeared. He got inches from my face, pointed his finger, and loudly accused me of cancelling the room. I was shaking and completely overwhelmed. I ended up sobbing in our room for over an hour. My husband was furious, but I begged him not to say anything -- I was terrified of retaliation, or losing our ability to book our units altogether. Instead of the unit we had reserved, we were given a subpar room, and the issue was never resolved. I was left feeling humiliated, dismissed, and completely heartbroken. Since then, I have not returned -- even though I continue to pay nearly $4,000 a year in fees. I've tried to reach out, hoping to speak with someone else or get help from another staff member, but my calls have gone unanswered. I feel completely ignored and stuck -- paying for something I no longer feel safe or welcome using. I never imagined I would write something like this about a place that once felt like family. But the way we were treated -- especially during such a difficult time in our lives -- was unacceptable. I don't recommend staying here under the current management. I hope one day, once leadership has changed, that we can return and feel at peace again. Until then, I remain heartbroken. This was a place my family truly loved.

Just had a wonderful stay at the Stardust. The staff and management also were wonderful to work with and the location just cannot be beat. Thanks again and we look forward to being back!

Avoid this place and booking experience -- worst hotel stay of my life We booked a room at Stardust Lodge in South Lake Tahoe for August 2025. When we arrived, we were checked in and given two keys but when we got to the room, neither key worked. We immediately contacted hotel to ask for help. To our shock, the hotel staff refused to give us working keys or let us into the room we had already paid for. When we asked for a refund so we could find another place to stay, they flat-out refused and offered no help whatsoever. We even called the police for assistance, but the hotel still refused to cooperate. We ended up sitting in our car until 5:00 AM, freezing and with nowhere to go.

Good: The location cannot be beat. You are directly across the street from the gondola, many restaurants, souvenir shops, and ski rental places. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Free coffee at all times was nice as well. The room had a small kitchenette, which was nice to have. Value was excellent overall and free parking is a huge plus. Cons: When we walked in to our room for the first time we were greeted with popcorn remnants all over the couch. The room we were in clearly had not been updated in a very long time with ancient fixtures. The bathroom was extremely small. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I was far more sore from sleeping on that bed than from two days of skiing. Bottom line: if you are just looking for a cheap place to crash and are not concerned with bed comfort, this would be a good place for you.

Didn't stay here but the lighting walking down by Stateline was truely magical. WOW.

Stayed here for one night! The highlight of this hotel was the extremely convenient and central location directly on Lake Tahoe Blvd, making it easy to access other places in the immediate area. We also appreciated that there was free (though limited) parking included, an extra plus considering how many things were within walking distance. Most of the provided parking spots were full when we arrived, or were handicap spots, so we had to search a bit farther around the building but luckily still managed to find one. Check-in was quick, and the front office staff was friendly. The room itself was small but cozy and clean, with a murphy bed and mini kitchenette. While we didn't necessarily need to utilize the kitchen aspect during our stay, it would come in handy if you were staying more long-term. The bed easily converted from a couch to sleeping area, but the bed itself was not super comfortable and the pillows were a bit flat - however, definitely not bad for one night especially after a long day! The have coffee and popcorn during the day in the lobby and complimentary breakfast from 7-9am in the activities center, next to the pool area. We stopped by for breakfast but it was unfortunately not self-serve and was behind a counter. They did have a variety of donuts and some other simple options available. It would've been nice to be able to get more than a few slices of orange since I opted for no donuts, but it's hard to complain when it was free, and I understand why they may want to limit how much each person takes. Overall, though, we had a solid stay here and would consider it again for the next time we need a quick stay in South Lake Tahoe - the location and convenience are hard to beat!

Stayed here during the recent blizzard. Room was very nice and Stardust was in a great location. However, when I walked into my room at night I noticed it was very cold. I checked the temperature on the thermostat observing it was set on 62. I turned the thermostat up as high as it would go and the baseboard heaters did not put out any heat. I called the front desk and left a message for someone to call me. No one called me back and no one answer the phone. My friend who was staying in the room beside me had the same issue. We both had to sleep in our beds wearing our cold weather gear. As bad as the blizzard was and being out in the cold all day, you just want to get indoors to a comfortable temp. Not freeze all night. Sorry but location isn't everything.

Amazing location for just about anytime of year. I have stayed here several times and the service is always amazing and the rooms a quiet and well thought out. I will be staying here again.

Went to the Stardust last week in February. I expected to snowshoe, however, there was no snow. This was a lovely adventure! It's been a long time since I have hiked in Tahoe; I usually bike or snowshoe when I come up. The weather was warm, with a little breeze, that reminded you where you were. There wasn't a lot of traffic, and you could find a parking spot, get a table at your favorite restaurant and sleep the whole night through. As always, the staff is there to help you and answer your questions about weather, new stores and restaurants. It was nice to go down to get my hot strong coffee and a fresh donut. Eliabeth was there with a smile and ready to help. If I need anything, Gabby was at the front desk, with a big smile. She had to make me an extra key card to get me back in my room, which was newly renovated with new paint and plush carpeting So if you have a few days, no matter what the weather is, head for the Stardust and enjoy!!!!

i had another awesome vacation stay at Stardust - i keep coming back year after year. the staff are friendly, warm and welcoming and the rooms are great. it's also just across the street from the base of the Heavenly gondola - can't beat the convenience. and there are always activities for the non skiers along with a pool and spa heated year round. it's always such a pleasant experience and i'll never go anywhere else!

Location location! Perfectly placed right across the Heavenly gondola. For our family it was ideal with two beds, two baths, a kitchen and it was dog-friendly. They had basic breakfast included and have a heated pool and hot tub year round. They have tons of dedicated customer parking around the property.

This place is great! Stayed here in a storm and it was cozy, good location, clean and comfy. Would definitely stay here again, might wanna check out the penthouse next time.

This is our second time staying here . It is great. I use RCI time share points which is like 500$ or a week. The manager Kenny is so nice that we brought him some wine. its the best location for skiing at heavenly .

We love staying at the Stardust when we go to South Lake Tahoe. It is in a great location, directly across the street from the gondola and Heavenly village making it extremely easy to walk across the way to get up the mountain or go shopping/grab a bite to eat. The free parking is a plus as well. The rooms are nice and cozy and the amenities such as the hot tub are great too. It's also a dog friendly which makes it so easy to bring our pup along with us. The staff is always friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Great place with great staff. Stayed here many times, my go to place. Super location, pools hot tu bs and free laundry. Free breakfast was awesome!!!! Staff were the best and resort manager Kenny couldnt be better!!!!!!

We have been members of the Stardust Lake Tahoe Timeshare since it first opened. I travel for my business as I have two businesses one in West Virginia and one in California. I have stayed at many hotels throughout my travels. I consider the Stardust at Lake Tahoe Timeshare owned by Kenny is the best of the best. The rooms are always well maintained, the staff is amazing, and the hotel itself is extremely welk kept. In all my years I have never had such a great place to stay at such a great savings. I have two weeks I can spend and when I am able in my schedule the Stardust Lake Tahoe is our choice. We have never had a bad stay or a room that was not perfectly maintained. There is always something good going on and it is amazing we can have access directly with Kenny. I strongly recommend this Timeshare to be a place a family can have a true vacation. It is in walking distances to all of the great places at State Line and if you are new to the area and are not sure where to go to see great things the front desk is always available to assist you with information and in some case reduced rate certifications. Yes! This is a truly five star vacation.

Love this place! Close to everything, restaurants, hiking, shopping, you name it & it is at your front door. Kenny & staff always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, updated & comfortable. We had a couple of minor problems & I went to the front desk to let them know & before I got back to our room the maintenance man was there to help fix them. It's the only place we stay on South Shore. Check it out!

First staying for a night at Stardust Lodge. Easy reservation online. Luis the reservation manager was very responsive and answered all my questions. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The room was clean. It has a sofa bed and small kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. Emily at the front desk was professional and we were able to check in early. Everyone who works there were friendly. The front outdoor pool was open at the time we were there. The pool temp was nice and warm. The room came with a free bike rental. Thank lodge is close to shops and restaurant. Also a walking distance to the beach! Thank you Stardust Lodge!

This is a motel where some guests are part of a time share and some guests are just visitors. Pro's: the one-bedroom suite was clean, we could find a parking space behind the motel, it is an easily walk to many restaurants & the casinos as well as the gardening/landscaping/flowers around the property were just gorgeous! Cons: no air conditioning and our room -never- cooled down from the heat of the day. We were in room 136 and when we did move the wooden dowel to open the window in the bedroom and attempt to cool down the room we could hear the traffic going by and people hanging out in the ally. The Stardust Lodge does have ceiling fans as well as two additional tower fans but only one tower worked and even at 10:30pm at night, when it was much cooler outside the bedroom inside room 136 was still over 85 degrees. Thin walls- we could hear every footstep of the guests in the above room along with the sound of the bed as they were getting amorous. Trash can and animals- there was a large trash can by room 136. At night an animal got into the trash to eat food scraps. In the morning there was-food- bones from meat all over the door mat and scattered about. We would not recommend a stay at this motel.

This place started out rough and ended rough. The beds feel like you're sleeping on a rock and they make loud squeaking noises. We let the front office know and thought worst case scenario they can't do anything and best case scenario we get a different mattress. The owner was nice enough to upgrade our room and give us a free bottle of wine so the bed problem was fixed. Then it went downhill from there. They got the dates of our stay incorrect on the phone originally and then again in person so they ended up charging us the correct amount after ASSUMING we wanted to stay an extra night. They also never sent an email confirmation because they got our email wrong TWICE and my mom had to call 4 times just to get her email confirmation. This place runs off assumptions from what I saw. We were told by a front office employee that the maids went into our room, saw our stuff still there, so they ASSUMED we wanted to stay an extra night at only around 10am(checkout is 11am). THEY LEFT OUR ROOM DOOR OPEN knowing they have MULTIPLE raccoons roaming around the property. We couldn't even leave to have dinner our final night because they leave trash bins in front of the rooms with no locks to keep the raccoons out so we had 2 just sat in front of our door for hours. I called the office to let them know, just to give them a heads up and all I got was an "ok". When I went to the office to "check out" I was met with a ghetto manager. Her face was a mean mug and when I said "I'm here to speak to the manager" I got a "yeah whats up". She let me tell my side and I gave her the bottle of wine back as well. When she started speaking it was with an attitude and with no sorry's. No apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience, just a lot of excuses. All I wanted was some acknowledgment or a sorry and I would've been fine. Instead I was met with yelling. She then kept saying "we assumed" to this, that, and the other. Again, running a business off assumptions is unprofessional and not smart when trying to fix something with a paying customer. Her and her employee at the front desk spent most of the time giggling like teenagers and scrolling on their phone which I also thought was unprofessional. If you're looking for good customer service, comfy beds, and good communication, stay anywhere else! Also, they call it a complimentary breakfast but it's donuts from down the street and frozen EGGO waffles.

This is a great place . Two pools. Right across from heavenly. One block from Harrahs..Free Breakfast daily. Parking one block from casinos.

The pillows and bed coverings in my room all smell from heavily scented laundry detergent kind of like Old Spice cologne. Tip: all bedclothes should be cleaned in unscented and allergy-free Seven Generation or similar detergent. Also I asked twice that the trashcan be removed next to my first floor room. I knew this was going to happen. The first morning I awoke to garbage at my front door and the second awoke to even more garbage in front of my door. They should keep the cans up on the second floor to ensure hungry wildlife cant get at them! Stay in the front if you must because their back area can get a little sketchy with lot of folks smoking in cars and rooms. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Trailhead Lodge not far away. They have own coffee bar and much nicer people at front desk. Just down the road but miles in front regarding quality.

What a great little gem. This property is privately owned and I can tell they are putting money into the property bringing it to current standards. The money spent is spent well and not short-cutted. The room was small but very functionable and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower spacious. We drive a Tesla and was thrilled to see a Tesla charger right outside our door. EXTRA kudos to this amendity! We will definitely stay here again.

This location is right in the heart of South Tahoe and within walking distance of everything. Good for everything touristy. Website indicates to call regarding 4th night free. Called and was told by very unhelpful young man to pick dates online and if offered 4th night then that's how you know if your dates qualify. Although website indicates to call, this is a promo for online booking only. Lame! Upon check in only took temperature, no other health screening requirements. Unsure of the point. Two pool areas, zero social distancing enforcement or other precautions in place. Hot tubs closed. There are several areas with gas grills for out door cooking with seating areas for dining. Everyone did have face coverings while walking on the property. The two room suite was smaller than anticipated. There is ZERO AIR CONDITIONING in the common area. It was sooooo hot our entire stay, 80 degrees in the room. We requested assistance with the one small air conditioner but no one came. We were on vacation and did not want to put our vacation on hold until someone could make it to our room. So we suffered through. The pull out bed was horrible. Very, very old and tattered - dingy. You are better off bringing a blow up mattress. One of the stove top burners did not function. Other that that the room had been updated. Very nice bathroom - clean. Nice size fridge. Upon checking out, the young woman did not ask how our stay was, nor did she offer a receipt. I kindly let her know that although we had asked for someone to come check out the air conditioner we did not see or hear from anyone. She confirmed they had our request, but no apology. I also mentioned the pull out bed. Again nothing. I guess customer service isn't a requirement when your rooms are all booked. A thumbs down for us. We won't stay here again. Poor customer service, too expensive for no air conditioning and a poor mattress.

Enjoyed our stay. If you like low key, comfortable, clean but not fancy, this is the place. Stayed in a one bedroom in front area. Had everything we needed for a week stay. Pool and spa nice, fun low key activities like bingo, crafts, live music in a little patio area. Was tree trimming going on while we were there:( a little noisy in the early am. Right in middle of town so not a super quiet area at night but not horrible. Take ear plugs:) Great location. Walk to village and casinos. Can walk to beach but they charge $25 a day to go inside the gate...we parked outside the gate to watch the beautiful sunsets:) everything in place to cook there, if you want. Also BBQs available on site. Very nice laundry facility! Fold out couch is iffy! Not the best... a blow up mattress type. Was tight for four and a dog, but we did Ok. Will try for two bedrooms next time. Staff friendly and helpful. Donuts and coffee in am was nice. Watch out for bears in the area, they were right on the property. We will be back! Fun time in Tahoe. Nice retro place:)

This was a great time share stay. It was a separate one bedroom with a fully stocked kitchen and dining table with pots, pans, oven, stove, large refrigerator, and living area with a very comfortable sofa converting into a pullout bed, two large LED TVs, a full bathroom with a double headed shower, and a nice patio area with a table and seats to relax with a cup of coffee and people watch. There's ample parking in the front, back, and street. The front desk staff and housekeeping was very kind. Room was very clean, furniture, and ac/heat were intact. Sadly the pool and jacuzzi were closed. Bike rentals are available to take around town or to the lake which is very close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean! Very convenient! Great Staff! Great Location! Great price! Only complaint was that our room faced the west and the room was quite warm even with small AC running! Took it forever to cool down at night! Neat place and we recommend it!!

Loved this place! Central location, a newer bathroom with dual shower heads, a kitchenette, bedroom and living room with a pullout couch. The only thing thIng that could have improved is the breakfast. The eggs that I got were rotten.

A for effort, but the main reason we're deeply displeased is we traded a week in our spacious, Westin timeshare resort for this cramped budget motel WITH A BLOW UP MATTRESS!!!! Our first time out with Interval International and most likely our last. How on earth can they quantify this uncomfortable hovel as a fair exchange? The bed in the bedroom has a center dip so low my spine hurts from the contortion. The sleeper couch is the blow up mattress, which is utterly unacceptable for any property charging money to sleep. Property is clean with some effort placed into the decor; but the front office teenagers could use hospitality training, a smidgen of professionalism and a few f*kcs to give, all of which were in short supply. We were not given the impression anyone was actually in charge or "managing" guests. While located inches from a very busy Tahoe Blvd, the property is extremely well situated to dozens of places to eat, shop, gamble, and a quick hop to the Heavenly gondola. Stay here for the convenience, cleanliness and miserably uncomfortable beds.

We arrived yesterday. They were very busy.. Tahoe is currently experiencing a heat wave and we were looking forward to a nice cool room but Surprise!! No air conditioning!! Our room was registering 91°. I asked to be switched to another room with the air conditioning but they said they did not have any available. This is a very cute and eclectic property with a big following but we were not really very happy with our room either. Lucky yes we got a room that has not been remodeled since I'd probably say the 1980s. Everything that old style Oak. The tiniest room I have ever stayed in with a Murphy bed. Way too much furniture in the room . be sure if you do book That you ask whether or not your room has been remodeled and has air-conditioning buyer beware! The plus side though is every room has at least a little kitchenette and it's very close to all the fun things to do!

Best trip to Tahoe yet! We have been staying at the Stardust Resort for more than 20 years. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit and 5 people. There was plenty of room for all of us... plus the kitchen was a big bonus. We ate at Kalani's across the street by the Heavenly Gondola and had an amazing dinner. The location of this property is perfect. The staff was kind and helpful. The kids enjoyed swimming in the heated pool, while the wife and I soaked in the jacuzzi tub... Mind you it was 20 degrees outside. We highly recommend this resort and will be back again soon.

This was perfectly located across the street from Heavenly and two blocks from the state line! Heavenly hosts a variety of restaurants, live music, family friendly magicians at The Loft, miniature golf and the Heavenly Gondola that takes you up to the ski lifts etc! There's something for everyone! The accommodations were perfect and quite comfortable for my friend and I! We had a 1bdrm with a pull out (comfortable) and full kitchen. We made breakfast every morning to cut down on some of the expenses. They had daily activities available for both adults and kids. There were a lot of families staying there and they were afforded quality time BBQing, playing table games outside and just hanging out! The beach was about 6 blocks away with an entrance fee of $25ea! Thankfully the Stardust has passes for $5ea! So we definitely took advantage of the beautiful lake and hung out in the water to beat the heat! Victor the Manager was extremely helpful and accommodating! He provided us a list of local hikes and came to our room immediately when we had an issue with our TV. As an apology he offered a bottle of wine, however we excepted the candy instead! LOL

This was our second trip to start dislodge this year, As Lake Tahoe is one of our favorite spots to come and visit due to its extraordinary beauty. The rooms here are small, with a Murphy bed, and feature a kitchenette with dishes, silverware, refrigerator, burners, and a microwave. The pool is lovely and heated year-round. Both times here, we have enjoyed the pool immensely. The location is amazing, walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. The only reason I downgrade their rating to four stars is because on Saturday, the gardener was there starting at about 8AM, until after 1PM operating a blower. Why of all days would you ever choose the busiest day for guests to have this annoying vendor on site for such a long period of time making so much noise? Additionally on Saturday my husband and I went up to the top deck to enjoy a meal, and there was a employee up there vacuuming and shampooing the area rugs, which was another noisy activity. I would think that these things could take place mid week when they are less busy with guests. Outside of these two occurrences, we thoroughly enjoy it at Stardust!

SOOOO good to be back here! Me and my family have been coming for years. GREAT location, walking distance to Van Sickle Bi-State Park for a GORGEOUS hike, the happy hour at Kalani's across the street is deluxe, and of course all your video poker needs are just a few blocks away. Two pools, free popcorn in lobby and Kenny is super. The bigger units in back have your own private BBQ which I highly recommend.

This place is great. Centrally located. They serve a small breakfast. They have free bike rentals in the summer.

Horrible customer service I was on the phone for 3 days. Could not get my reservation changed The room was filthy We left and stayed somewhere cleaner.

I've been an owner for 3+ decades and have observed the superb quality of service gradually decline in recent years. This is partially a byproduct of the pandemic, but not entirely. There's a deficiency in front desk quality control and lack of accountability. Desired reservation weeks have become more difficult to get. I find this trend regrettable and I am not sure what the solution is.

Went with my family in the summer. Do NOT stay here! Terrible beds, incredibly old and lumpy. No AC and no air flow, even with the windows open, overall very uncomfortable in the room. Starting at 6am, the cleaning staff talks on the phone and to each other very loudly right outside the room and constantly rolled incredibly loud laundry carts across the cobblestone in front of the room. The walls are paper thin. Not a single one of us (5 of us total) could sleep at all. Staying here really ruined our trip. We couldn't even relax in the room b/c it's too hot - it was hotter inside the room than it was outside, and it was 85* outside.

It is a cool little hotel with a nice pool and down town close to all the shopping stuff, if you are into that.

I am an owner of Stardust for 30 years I would never trade my time there it has always been my home away from home and the staff and manager Kenny are like family. I have other timeshares that I would trade but I would never trade the Stardust we love everybody there

The rooms are great and the beds are comfortable. Every room has a kitchenette, while some have a full kitchen. Their is a great lite breakfast bar every morning. One of the best features is the Heavenly gondola is right across the street. 100 yards walking distance. the hot tubs are great and the pool is 86 degrees all year. Kids love it! The office staff is very nice and helpful...

Did not advertise no AC. Who stays anywhere in the summer without AC??? I would never had booked this place if I'd known that

Ok so funny story! Space is smaller than we are used to so we upgraded to a 1-Bedroom, more space because our 6 foot tall 15 year-old needed to stay a couple nights with our 9-year old. The fold out couch bed was a "blow up" style. It deflated on night one, after night two, I realized the kids didn't do something wrong blowing it up but rather the bed was popped! Poor kids, the staff replaced it! The kids basically slept on whatever remains when it loses air. So remember I said tight quarters, I am sitting at the table and pushed the table toward the wall so I wasn't so close to the door to help my son with his wind chimes activity, and cracked my skull on the pendant lamp while rising up! Holy moly, I for sure thought there was going to be blood everywhere! I was so lucky, no blood, my head survived and I seriously broke this thick glass with my skull into a million pieces...it was crazy! Be careful in small spaces. Owner was awesome and hooked us up with some extras due to the blow up bed thing...for now my kids' backs and my skull will be fine and we will return for more laughs!

My sister and her husband have a time share here which prompted me to stay. Location: I would give the location five stars if you are the type of person that wants to be next to everything and doesn't mind a lot of noise. You can literally walk to shopping, restaurants and heavenly ski resort right across the street, it's a very happening location. Cleanliness: I would also give five stars for the cleanliness our room was very outdated but very clean considering. Comfort: 2-3 stars just ok..Nothing spectacular when it comes to comfort. The room was warm the bed was OK they provided extra pillows and blankets we had a Murphy bed in our studio. Noise level: 1 Star. You could hear everybody coming in and out of their rooms all evening long and the people walking around in the neighborhood. There was also a pipe that kept clicking in the walls which was really irritating we had a very sleepless night. It seems that the property owners are really trying to make the timeshare a cool thing by having get together's and social events which I thought was really cool. There is a pool, hot tub and an area to barbecue which is also a plus. They advertised cinnamon crackers and hot chocolate $2 dollars a person. I went to the front office to pay and there was only one guy working to check everyone in and some other lady that was behind a desk that wasn't helping him at all or anybody else for that matter. We waited for about 20 minutes to pay the money to get hot chocolate and cinnamon crackers and it ended up that we were directed to a woman who literally gave us a Styrofoam cup and a packet of hot chocolate and told us we could help ourselves to the hot water and there were some broken up pieces of regular graham crackers out of a box. I get it, it's only $2 bucks a piece but you could've at least made a hot chocolate for the people that are staying there paying if you're going to advertise something like that and maybe some kind of better presented cinnamon cracker. Overall I average my rating to 3 stars. I do think it's clean I think the customer service was decent and I think they are really trying to make it something special for those that stay there. I also think the location is great. The downside is that it is very noisy very outdated and pretty skimp on the special things that they do for the timeshare owners.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this location is ideally located within a short walking distance from Heavenly Village and the casino hotels at Stateline, Nevada. On the Wednesday we were there, a solo music performer entertained guests. We stayed in the studio unit on the second floor with a murphy bed and an ottoman that folds out to a twin-size bed. Though a tight space, lots of cabinet and drawer space and wall hooks were provided. There's a ceiling fan and swivel floor fan to compensate for lack of air conditioning. For us, the room gets stuffy during the day and at night while we're sleeping. Even with a little gap opened at the window, the air flow is not very good. Otherwise, the facility is well-managed and well-maintained.

Stars for Friendly staff and more importantly very clean and remodeled unit. We stayed at the one BR suite and was very clean and nicely remodeled. I don't recommend staying here during hot summer months as there is no A/C. It was extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. There were ceiling fans and stand fans but it really didn't help make the rooms cooler. It felt like a sauna in there. Forget the free Wi-Fi, it was really slow. The breakfast was okay. instant oatmeal, bananas, oranges, pastries, toast, and cold hard boiled egg. If you like cooking, the kitchen in the unit is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, etc. and is very clean. Free bike rentals and the location are a plus as it is walking distance to the casinos and heavenly village, including Raleys super market. We may be back here during the cooler months, but not during the summer.

My husband, my daughter who had a her unit and I recently stayed at Stardust Lodge. It offers free amenities that others do not offer: breakfast and popcorn. The staff are friendly and address any needs you have, like mechanical problems in the unit or requesting clean towels. It is centrally located whereby you can walk to the shopping center and the Gondola across the street. For now, the pool is open. Once the quarantine restrictions eases, you will be able to use the hot tubs.

This is ny fourth time staying at this hotel. I love that it is right in the heart of heavenly. Walked across the street to get to all the yummy restaurants and cool shops. The studios do not have AC so make sure you ask for the upgraded rooms that do!! A little more expensive but it's worth the comfort in this heat. They switched me over to a bigger room with no problem with a reasonable additional cost.
