Starenio Bakery

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Starenio Bakery in Corfu, and it was a delightful experience! The bakery offers a huge variety of pastries and cakes, all of which are absolutely delicious. From flaky croissants to rich, decadent cakes, there’s something to satisfy every sweet tooth. What truly stood out to me was the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy your treats, and maybe even strike up a conversation with the lovely people behind the counter. If you’re in Corfu, I highly recommend stopping by Starenio Bakery for a taste of their amazing offerings. You won’t be disappointed!

This is such a cute place in Corfu Old Town with plenty of vegan choices. Lots of savoury pie and sweet cakes available. Everything vegan clearly marked. A few tables available outside to sit or perfect as a grab and go option.

Absolutely wonderful place with some great pastries, and super nice service. We came back for every breakfast of our stay in Corfu. Btw the Freddo cappuccino here is unlike anything I have had in Greece

A super, quiet spot for a tasty breakfast. The omelettes are light and fluffy and the Greek yoghurt with fruit, honey and walnuts was delicious. There is a huge range of pies (most of them looking like 3/4 size Cornish pasties) - including some award-winning vegan ones. We were intrigued by nettle pie with feta but were full. I tried the little cheese pie (tyropitakia) and it was flaky, cheesy and just the right size! The cappuccinos were well made too. The bakery is clearly loved by locals because there was a steady stream of folk in and out of the bakery during the time we sat outside. Just three tables to sit at outside (so far as we saw) so likely full in the peak season.

This place is a gem in old corfu town. The best cheese pie ever and spanikopita. It's made in homemade phyllodough, which is amazing. Everything we have tried it awesome!! Great coffees as well. In corfu for 5 days and it is our morning spot every morning!!! Prices are also great. Try the cheese pie with a fresh peach mmm mmm mmm. Thank you

Decided to have lunch here based on reviews and location. Definitely worth trying their traditional style pies, with a variety of different fillings. We each had a Frappe and a Monastery Pie, and enjoyed them very much. Would definitely return.

We came for breakfast and morning coffee several times during a recent stay. Really lovely staff. The breakfasts were brilliant! Excellent coffee (Greek coffee, freddo espresso, cafe latte). Recommend the fruit walnuts yogurt and honey, as well as the bread with butter and honey. Beautiful location too!

Very kind owner, delicious vegan options, very affordable. If I would live on Corfu I would come every day!
