Google
I like live music and entertainment, and this is the place to get it. Besides a great band on stage there was an orchestra that was a great experience. If you're looking for something to do on Friday night and it's reasonably priced I say give the stargazer a try look at their schedule find something you like and go!

I was very excited to go see Zoso this past Friday. Unfortunately when we got there we learned that the concert had been postponed til June. We didn’t receive a notification though many must have as there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Drove out from Peyton to downtown. Waste of time. Why we didn’t get a notification I don’t know as they did have my email as I got the tickets through email. Yes I did check spam and trash. Disappointed and you can never reach anyone there. Only a recording and no one ever calls you back.

Amazing venue! Exquisite sound, and very friendly staff and owners. They only get the best bands so you can rest assured it will be an awesome experience!

Google
Delivered lighting equipment here. Met the owners with whom we share common friendships in our music community. Sadly the venue is for sale as the owners look to new chapters in the fall of their lives. Great venue!!! Great shows & artists have graced their stage. I hope this venue can find it's way to continue on giving what it has given so much of with events of decades past!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Saw cover band zoso. They were exceptional. Played Led Zeppelin hits.

Such a fun space with a great vibe! Tickets are reasonably priced and the lineup is a good mix. Plenty of seating, clean, refreshments available.

This was my first visit to Stargazer's Theater. What an amazing venue! The owners must be so proud! They have a bar with GOOD beer, wine, and well/top shelf drinks. The good news? The prices are awesome! I really appreciate you guys for hosting Rush Archives. It was my first live show since Rush's last tour, because the death of Neil Peart really hurt. This show completed the healing process. This venue is absolutely perfect for bands that want to really want to put on a show.

Google
We've gone to three concerts there this year (tribute bands for Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, and the Eagles) and had a great time at each and every one. Every seat is relatively close, they have a reasonable mix of snacks and drinks, and it's a good crowd. It's an older venue but provides great music at a reasonable price in a reasonable location.

Yelp
We were really unsure what to expect going in, as it's an older venue, but we had a great time here. It doesn't look like much outside, for sure, but we were pleasantly surprised once we went in. Decent amount of free parking in the lot and on the street too. There was a woman at the door checking off names, so we never actually needed our tickets. The seating area can be set up with tables and chairs, with dance floor in between, as it was on this night, and permanent stadium seating up above. We correctly went with the stadium seating and were immediately rewarded with comfortable, bucket seats. Venue is small enough, and acoustics were great. Rush Archives put on a really good show in what seemed like an intimate venue. Concessions are much cheaper than you'd expect, which was another pleasant surprise. Water for $2.50 and soft drinks for $3.50 definitely took us back many years too. We won't hesitate to come back next time another band is playing we want to see.

Yelp
We've been there a few times & love the venue! Nice & small. However, this last time, H was in line for beers about 25 minutes. This has never happened! I went by the food stand about 5 minutes before the concert started & there was about 4 lines w/6 people each. I hope they got to their seats before the music started. Maybe they need more help behind the bar/food area??

Yelp
Comfortable seats and a good show, except for being very loud. Glad we sat in the quiet seats! We like Stargazers pricing and the variety of offerings. We will return!

Yelp
Love this place! (review for visit on 16-Feb-2019) Stargazers does not disappoint. We've gone here a good many times and still enjoy coming here. Owners, John and Cindy are super great hosts and run a really nice business. This last visit, we saw Yesterday - a Beatles Tribute. They were very good. Sound and lighting was very good for this show. Especially the lighting which I felt was a little lacking at some shows here. If you've never seen a live performance at Stargazers, you're missing out on a great experience at a really nice price.

Yelp
Watch Blues/Rock 'N Roll in style and comfort! I forgot how fun it was to listen to good, live rock 'n roll, feel the bass vibrate through me, and dance on a solid floor instead of dirt and grass. This Buck Fuller dome was converted from a theater to a nightclub with good acoustics. I went two nights running to free concerts featuring popular local bands 6035, Levi and Rifkin, the Patti Mack Band and headliner Miki Free just back from a successful tour in Australia. There are still many free concerts coming up plus tribute bands playing the soundtrack of our lives. This is a first rate inside venue, reminiscent of the 40s is 50s nightclubs with round dinner tables and a dance area on the first floor, padded bar stools, bistro tables and long tables with padded chairs on the mid level, and theater seating on the third level. Tiny, sparkling lights add to the ambiance. It's a great place to go dressed up or down. A date worthy destination. No food, drinks or drugs allowed from outside. But there's reasonably priced food, spirits, craft beers and non-alcoholic drinks to chose from in the lobby. Plenty of parking, handicapped accessible. Of the 50 plus places to hear good music in Colorado Springs, Stargazers regularly ranks top or near the top of "Best Of" Lists.

Yelp
Attended The Long Run concert last night. OUTSTANDING entertaiment!!!! The sound system is excellent. Sadly, due to COVID restrictions the theater was not packed. This band deserves a packed house!!! The venue needs updating and better decorating...it's really too old and shows its age. But such an undertaking is expensive, so its forgivable for now. My suggestion: SUPPORT STARGAZERS REGULARLY to help them update the building! We cannot let this venue struggle financially. It is a CS landmark!

Tracy J.

Yelp
Nice time; however, the venue could improve with using real glasses/dishes. The venue is nice with tablecloths and candles, so it doesn't seem fitting to then serve beverages and food in paper and plastic. Wine out of a plastic cup just isn't good. I believe the experience could be elevated by improving the way drinks and food are served. Right now it is more like what you would get at a ball game. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Yelp
Stargazers is so unique.A small town feel and yet BIG production values in a most unique space. The owners are very community oriented with regular fundraisers for local and national charitable organizations and frequent FREE concerts for all. The seating is friendly with room for dancing and the food is simple yet delicious ,in particular White Chicken Chili YUM! What else can I say? I LOVE Stargazers!!

Yelp
I used to go here decades ago when it was a movie theater. Blues great David Bromberg drew me here this snowy night. The facility works, the sound was great and they offered booze and food. They actually started the program early, probably because it was sold out and they had two opening acts and I'm guessing that they could tell that pretty much everyone was there. I normally like to buy my tickets at the box office to save the ticketing fees, but the box office seems to have widely varying hours so I did mine by internet and printed them at the house. I am probably going to be going here a lot more often. They actually have some performances that are free, must be making their money on the food and drink, but that is cool.

Yelp
Nice little theater to catch some smaller shows/acts. Concession offers alcohol and variety of foods.

Yelp
We were excited to learn about a Beatles tribute band playing at Stargazers on Valentine's Day. We are new to the area and haven't gotten the lay of the land quite yet, and reading the reviews (most from 2011) we were really excited to give this place a try. The website said to come early because it's mostly general admission. The doors opened at 6:30 for an 8:00 show. We got there around 7:00 and many of the seats were already taken. As some of the quick tips say, the seats are not in the best shape anymore so many people were going from seat to seat to try them out. You can feel the springs in the chairs so they are a little uncomfortable, though I bet they were amazing when they were first put in. There is enough room for people to squeeze by without the people sitting having to stand up. The seats also rock a little so you can lean back a bit. We saved our seats with our coats and went to get dinner to take back to our seats. They didn't have a menu online- I think it must change- so my husband got a Teriyaki chicken bowl which he thought was pretty good and I got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on the side. I loved my sandwich- it was the perfect temperature and was really tasty- I would totally get the same thing next time. I think they also had nachos. The lines in the lobby for the food and drinks looked pretty overwhelming but they moved quickly. We also got some snack mix which was tasty. They also had chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's day but we didn't try them. We only saw prices for the three main offerings- we didn't see prices anywhere for drinks or snacks, but we were pleasantly surprised at how affordable it turned out to be. The place was packed and every seat was taken and people were sitting on the steps and standing in the aisles too (not sure if that's a fire hazard or not but we never saw any ushers). The view of the stage was great and the sound was pretty good. We were annoyed with how loud and rowdy some people were in the back row on stools- they were clearly enjoying the offerings at the bar but were so loud and disruptive and we wished someone had said something to them. Again, there were no ushers. We were disappointed in the band- we have seen many Beatles tribute bands and this was the worst we have seen. That's not the fault of the theater, though. The sound was a little uneven- it was harder to hear the guy who played Paul than the others. There was a younger guy who danced the entire show, out of the way so he wasn't blocking anyone, and I think that was my favorite part of the night- getting to watch him enjoy the show so much. :) Parking was easy as they have a large lot. We do recommend you get there early to get the seats you want- you can get food and drinks and take them to your seat and eat and drink through the show or beforehand (though there are no cupholders or places to put anything). Overall this is a fun small venue which seems to have a great variety of shows and also seems to have many loyal regulars. Hopefully they'll be able to eventually repair or replace the seats. We're glad we visited and would like to go back in the future.

Yelp
What a fun place. No better place to see live music. Reasonable drinks, snacks, and yes even meals. A family friendly atmosphere. Not to loud. I've seen blues acts, I've seen R&B acts, I've seen comedy acts, I've seen rock and roll, Fun old movie theater converted to a cool venue. Dance floor and all. For a great inexpensive night out give it a try.

Yelp
I would give ZERO stars if I could. Today 08/28/2021, I came up to the side of the food bar to ask a quick question as I knew staff was busy, I asked what the drink limit was when purchasing, as I had 2 other ID's (my friends) because we didn't want to lose our seats. A heavy-set white male with a blonde ponytail and glasses addressed me in a passive aggressive way and said, "There are signs everywhere." I politely informed him that he didn't have to be rude. The 2 seconds it took for his temper to flare, he cld have simply answered the question! I then get in line and can't believe A.) how loud and completely UNPROFESSIONAL ponytail is behaving - talking ill of me to other customers and B.) is LYING - said he got "yelled at." There was another employee that answered the question w kindness and witnessed the whole thing, and cld attest that there was zero yelling on my end, period. When I'm up next to order I ask the owner John to speak w him about this guy's terrible customer service, and out of nowhere, and just because I asked to speak w management, ponytail lost it.. went nuts! He literally Screamed at me, at the very top of his lungs - no exaggeration - throwing his hands in my face and ordering me to leave while pointing at the door, as thou he even had the authority to do so, he's a damn cashier. Ponytail refused to give me my food or check me out, oh and this all took place in front of many many paying customers and while no one corrected ponytails deranged and demented behavior, or shut him down immediately, John fianlly had enough sense to pull me away from the food line.. But guess what!??? Ponytail follows us and is still has aggressively using his large size and demeanor to intimidate.. and of course is STILL yelling and harassing me, at the top of his lungs to leave. Again, neither John or his wife IMMEDIATELY shut him down or removed him from the situation. John the owner, had the nerve to ask me, "what I did to ponytail to cause him to lash out?" I'm looking at John, baffled by his total lack of management skills or common sense to even attempt to justify this psychos behavior and for allowing it!. When the wife stepped in, all she told ponytail is, "stop." John made excuse after excuse for ponytail and essentially didn't take this situation w the seriousness that it deserved; it was like talking to a brick wall. All John did was counter everything I said and pointed the finger at me lol.. I had to finally threaten the cops if ponytail didn't stop! When there is ZERO leadership skills or the ability to address matters appropriately, its inevitable to hire bad or in this case insane staff members. I genuinely believe ponytail has a mental disorder and is a MAJOR liability to Stargazers. There was zero excuse for John not to have handled this situation in an immediate, an appropriate and a professional manner period. Neither owner escorted him away from me for my own safety, they didn't pull him off the cashier line, nor did he get sent home. They did absolutely nothing to correct the harm that was done. Ponytail is liable to go in a craze at a drop of a dime! I will NEVER return, I will never give Stargazers my business (I brought 4 other people with me), and I suggest you dont either!! The truly despicable part of all this, is the owner John doesn't care about his customers safety, wellbeing, nor their Legitimate concerns; he was pathetic really and had no idea how to handle his own staff. John never once apologized for his staff member either. I guess its ok in John's head, that getting verbally attacked and harassed is A-ok!. Bad Bad business!! Oh one more thing, even after ponytail displayed extremely threatening mental behavior, John came to me afterwards during a small break, and again had the audacity to inform me, that "I left information out," and that I didn't tell him the whole story lol! I mean, ARE YOU KIDDING ME, the owner is just as deluded as ponytail!! Here I am having to advocate for myself again and informed John, that I left NOTHING out. I spoke the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God!! lol Ponytail was so beside himself that he refused to let me pay for my drinks. Honestly, that's the very least they can do is comp a damn drink after allowing abusive behavior towards theirs customers to take place.

Yelp
I've been to many enjoyable concerts at Stargazers. Last night the sound was incredibly loud past the point of distortion. This was not enjoyable.

Yelp
Wow! What a fantastic venue. Tonight was the first time I've ever stepped foot into Stargazers and it was quite the place. Will-call was very quick, and the owners are over the top nice. For being such an old building it has been thoroughly cared for. It is retro and charming, but not in the grandparent sort of way. Tonight's show was one of the best I've ever been to (Gregory Alan Isakov/ The Haunted Windchimes). Aside from the bands being incredible, Stargazers and their sound crew made this night awesome. Lots of random acts come through here, but I'm definitely going to keep my eyes peeled for shows like tonight's. Oh! I almost forgot. If you call and order your tickets from them, they don't charge any service fees!!! Take that Ticketbastard, um, Ticketmaster.

Yelp
I will always know this venue as the Colorado Music Hall and have some fond memories of it. I came to Colorado on vacation and while here was alerted of a burlesque show being held here by a friend and we decided to check it out. I was pleased to find this building in great condition. They are keeping it in good shape and it was decorated very cute for Mardi Gras. The prices on refreshments were really fair. Beers were about $4 apiece and they offered food as well. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was somewhat forgettable but the coleslaw was amazing with chunks of fresh apple in it. Loved it SO much. The owners were on site and looked really happy to be a part of the event. We had a great time. Glad to be a part of supporting a local venue and a local troupe of burlesque dancers.

Yelp
Drove down from Denver to attend a Great Big Sea concert. The Stargazers is such a cute little venue with a homey feel. It is family owned and operated and they truly take pride. The acoustics in the theatre were great. The seating was comfortable and it was easy to see all areas of the stage. The best part was the affordable drinks and snacks. A Blue Moon beer was 5 dollars and even came with a fresh orange slice (I just payed $8.50 for a Miller Lite at the Fillmore the other night). The Stargazers Theatre is a great Place, I highly recommend seeing a show there!!! Check out their website, lots of info and easy to navigate. www.stargazerstheatre.com

Yelp
One of the finest music venues I have ever been too. Beautiful decor and customer service is awesome.

Yelp
Ok, just to be clear, I'm biased towards Stargazers. I love this venue for concerts. The food and beverages are priced fairly and it's very small and intimate. The new seating is fantastic!

Yelp
Excellent venue for long be music. The owners are super cool and strive to bring the best bands. Highly recommend. :)

Yelp
This is a great venue for listening to local bands, often free of charge. We have attended several events here, and we find the ambiance to be intimate and exciting. The lights and sound system are awesome. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Well, except that some of the chairs have lumpy springs. They should probably provide extra cushions for those. Try to snag a seat at a table if you can. The food and drinks are not bad, and they are reasonably priced. Also, last time we were there, they kept rotating the stage lights so that they shone in our eyes. But overall, I like the funky, if somewhat dated environment. It certainly has a nostalgic vibe to it.

Yelp
So for our 1st anniversary I gave my husband tickets to see Wishbone Ash. Was not disappointed at all, cute venue, don't think there is a bad seat in the house. We sat on the walkway between the dance floor (which had been set up with tables) and the upper seats. There were tables set up on the walkway front and banquet seats behind with high round tables. Sound was awesome. We enjoyed the opening act The Verdict. But oh my did WA blow us away. Had seen them 1.5 yrs previous in Dallas but this venue was much better.

Yelp
There is nothing I would change about this "intimate" venue! No fighting for a close parking place...every spot is close. Kudos to the terrific couple who own Stargazers for attracting friendly staff and being discerning in the shows they book...and for keeping ticket prices affordable! Tonight my wife and I went to the Elton Dan and the Rocket Band concert, and it was great! See this band when they come back, for sure, they are all very accomplished musicians and put together a great show! Every seat in the house is excellent and the furthest seat is still close enough for a close connection between the performers and audience. That unique old wood dome is fabulous for acoustics, and the sound from the Rocket Band set the floor going too: nothing like sound you can FEEL! At any rate, once you try a show at the Stargazers you will be back! Bring your friends too, this place deserves to be sold out every night!

Zara H.

Yelp
Worst place I've ever been to in the Springs. The venue is super old, does not look appealing or inviting. The seats are just springs, no cushion and if you sit at the upper part you can feel the cold breeze even though I was wearing a coat, hat and gloves. Bathrooms are old too and they don't even check for weapons at entrance. No wonder why most artists decide not to tour here. I hope I never have a reason to go back.

Grace W.

Yelp
Great place! Music, venue, people, food, it is all great and good prices too. Thanks for fixing up the building and saving a piece of our architectural history too.

Mike W.

Yelp
Place has gone downhill. Owners crank up the volume so high all one hears is distortion. Laser light is projected into the audience and blinds everyone. Food is bad and sometimes makes you sick. Bathroom stalls lack locks and no hot water to wash with. Water Fountain is turned off. Seats are torn and have broken coils. Place is dirty. Cars are broken into and stolen during shows. Lack of security patrols. Audience gets drunk there and bothers rest of audience. Used to attend concerts there but never more!

Jacquelyn H.

Yelp
Thrilled to find out you have Colorado Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band playing there this coming Saturday. I have seen their band in other venues and I am excited to see them in a beautiful theatre! Looking forward to the show!
