Belle Isle Park Is Hunting for a Resident Food Truck | Eater Detroit

"The Ferndale brewery is debuting its first-ever barrel-aged imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and has also teased limited, playfully named seasonal releases; this signals the brewery's move into higher-profile, specialty releases alongside its regular offerings." - Brenna Houck

This was our first time here! The food was awesome. The beer was even better. Lyric took amazing care of us and we really appreciated her recommendations. I had the sweet blue cider and reuben. Perfect meal!

Google
The food was amazing. The drinks are great. Perfect lunch spot for a family with young kids. Quiet atmosphere and plenty seating. Dog friendly, really big for this dog loving family!! The only negative I have is the service. Watching many employees hustling and yet it took a while for our drinks arrive and also the food. May have just been our server but made lunch an 1 1/2 hour experience.

I am not sure it's possible to describe this place in a way that does it justice, but here goes... Situated near the water and almost under the bridge, this big industrial building gives off the effortless kind of cool you just have to check out, so you step inside and they're brewing beer all around you! The bartenders and servers are all friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel welcome, the atmosphere is alive, the vibe just draws you in. The food? The menu is frankly bananas. Pasta, pizza, burgers, BBQ, elevated pub grub. Scratch cooking, weekly specials, daily themes(taco Tuesday, wing Wednesday with karaoke, you get it) they cater functions and they have a food truck to bring great food to different events, if you haven't tried the place, what's stopping you? If you have, then I'm sure I'll see you there again!

Google
We went in for a few drinks and food. Live music was great. Drinks were good. Toasted Almond was delicious. Potato skins were okay, a bit overcooked. Gouda vibes burger was cooked well and had great flavor but very greasy. Chicken ranch wrap was enjoyable. Cajun chicken sandwich was also good. Fries were mediocre, needed a second fry for the crispness. It took a long time to receive our food but overall a decent night ut.

Google
Visited here for the first time and had a wonderful experience! Our waitress was phenomenal from the moment we walked in, our beer flight was a fun and delicious experience and the pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had. They even hosted karaoke on a Wednesday night! We can’t wait to visit again.

Google
Amazing place. Very friendly staff that were attentive but more importantly authentic. Flights of 6 or 8 beers (we did 8). I'm not a fan of IPAs but the blood orange IPA was spot on. Scotch Red Ale was also delicious. We ordered a pretzel and pork poutine. Way more food than we could eat - portions are HUGE. Will be back every time we are in Manchester.

Google
Solo dined and it was not busy for a Monday. Friendly and kind staff. Good food and tasty brews

Google
Went there for the first time with a few friends. Seemed like a good time good music and decent food. My friend received the incorrect order and asked for what she wanted. She was charged for both and was told if she wanted an exchange she should have said so because they could have resold the original ones to someone else 🤮 This is super illegal with food safety laws to give someone else food that has already been served to someone else and a huge infection control risk. Would not recommend and they really should consider studying food safety laws ….

Yelp
Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop something or other - I've lost count... We stopped in as a party of 4 & were met by an energetic gal who walked us through their offerings. She was pretty insistent that we try their pickle beer & brought out a sample. Said sample went unfinished despite the 4 of us trying it & 2 of us being pickle beer lovers (especially sucker punch, yum). My experience in the area overall leads me to warn any sour drinkers that this is NOT the region to order sours... I think that's the best way to put it. Apparently it's a love it or hate it & a lot of people love it. I did not. None of us did... Service was excellent tho & the other options were decent. I love the dog themed cans & pooch friendly environment. They also had solid drink specials. We didn't eat anything here.

Lyv A.

Yelp
Attended and event outside and was very unorganized. We got a sub at the food truck and it took 45 minutes... for one sub. We had to ask for updates because it was taking so long and everyone before us was getting their food.

Madison B.

Yelp
Allergy customers beware. I never write bad reviews but I had a terrible experience here after ordering a vegan-safe pizza due to a dairy allergy. They brought completely unsafe food despite our waiter showing us the ticket did mention my allergy (I barely avoided an anaphylactic reaction). We were there for over 2 1/2 hours for food for 3 people. When the remade pizza finally came back, It had been so long that we took it in a to-go box. Attached are pictures of the pizza, completely inedible, undercooked and soggy. When I called to talk about my experience the manager said it would be handled and the pizza would be comped. That was 3 weeks ago and still no word. Be careful if you have any allergies or dietary preferences. The kitchen simply is not careful and does not care!

Yelp
I genuinely enjoyed my experience here, my boyfriend and I went mid week and sat at the bar. We both thought the decor was neat! The waitress was super sweet & answered all my silly questions even gave me great drink options! We only had apps but I was throughly impressed w my cheese curds being a vt gal ik a good cheese curd and my boyfriend enjoyed his eggrolls! Will definitely be back again!!

Yelp
I really enjoy this place: Down to earth Brew Pub! The food selection is perfect for this type of establishment & suits their Very Good selection of Beer! I've always enjoyed anything I've ordered for food or beer. The atmosphere is relaxing with bartenders/servers that are attentive & friendly. Nice after work place to decompress. Well that's it so go check it out & enjoy. For beer I recommend the Hopzilla Double IPA or the Smoked Bock. Also they have a full bar if you're not a beer snob like myself. Cheers!

Yelp
We have stopped by a handful of times over the years--going back to early days when it was Milly's and generally enjoyed solid beer and food even after the transition to Stark. It was my husband's birthday and we were headed north, so it seemed a good choice for dinner/small celebration. We were very late for our reservation due to traffic and i was worried....but when we arrived the place was relatively dead--especially for a Friday. I recalled the place to be hopping when we were there before. What came next gave a clue as to why.... Things started bumpy when the kids declared the place smelled "weird". Yes, brewpubs can smell "off" but this was different. Once seated, the waitress stood near our table, staring off and seemingly distracted by the waitress tending to the table next to us before realizing we were her table. When taking orders, she walked away before confirming what we ordered and things like timing. We ordered beers and I ordered a salad as my meal and my husband ordered a bowl of chili with a side of chili. We ordered a small pizza and fries for the kids. My beer came out and the kids drinks...and i have a pretty wide beer palate and I've never encountered a beer I absolutely could not drink until that moment. When my husband's sampler came, I asked to swap out my beer. His beers were horrible too. Some more of the worst. Not what we remembered. Then, my salad came out and a cup (not bowl) of chili for my husband. No silverware. The nice runner helped us out. No sign of the kids food or side of veggies. Waitress stopped by (w/o promised beer swap) and realized that we wanted all the food together. More time passes. I finish my (large) salad and my husband finishes his chili. Kids getting antsy so he takes them on a walk. The waitress for the next table checks in w me bc i look so despaired (thank you!). Promptly replaces my beer and checks on the kids food. It's "on the board". More time passes. Gave feedback to the manager who did the right thing. Finally, the kids food comes out along with that damn replacement beer that the other waitress took care of 20 minutes earlier. Side veggies completely lost. I know "off" service can be an isolated thing, but it was comically bad. the food was decent but the beer was just awful. Sad to see.

Yelp
We love a good Brewery and we just added another great one to our list. Stark Brewing is located in the mill buildings in Manchester and is such a fun place from the atmosphere, friendly staff, yummy food and refreshing beers. We visited on a Friday night and the beers were 50% off. My husband and I each enjoyed a beer. For dinner we had a gyro, I had a Buffalo chicken calzone and my daughter had chicken fingers. Their fries were some of the best fries we have had. The rest of our food was yummy. We will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Gluten free pizza was yummy, sangria was tasty, and our waitress was very timely. Overall good experience.

Yelp
I was in Manchester yesterday and made sure to stop by Stark Brewing. As of this writing, they have a pretty darn good Groupon. It's two pints, two flights and an appetizer for $25. Each flight has 6 beers and there are plenty of appetizers to choose from. The Groupon was too good to pass up so I decided I had to pay a visit. Like most visits to any establishment, there was some good and some bad, but the good outweighed the bad. My first gripe is that the parking lot was signed very poorly. At no point did it say that customers of Stark could park there. It did, however, say that only permit holders or customers of Milly's Tavern could park there. We ended up figuring out that we could indeed park there after one of us ran in to clarify. Once inside things got better. The first thing that struck me was what a nice physical space they have. It is set up well with plenty of seating and multiple TVs located around the pub for watching sports (or whatever else). We wanted to watch a particular game and it wasn't an issue to get the server to find our game and change the channel. Our server was familiar with the Groupon and it was easy to use. A huge positive about Stark is that they brew a ton of different beers. I tried 14 different beers (two different pints, and two flights of six beers each) and still didn't taste everything. Whether you like the beer or not is subject to your own personal taste. But I'd be very surprised if you couldn't find something you liked. If you read the previous comments people seem to have had issues with the food. We had two appetizers and they were both good but not great. We went with the pretzels and the southwest eggrolls. It felt like neither was made to order and both were simply heated up and served. And that isn't a complaint so much as an observation. Both were tasty. The sauces that came with each did come in to-go style plastic containers. I feel that this aspect of the presentation could easily be improved by a simple glass dish. Overall it was a nice visit. The service was decent and all in my group had a good time. The volume of the music was perfect and I really liked the playlist. I didn't fall in love with any of the beers but I'd certainly visit again.

Yelp
The service is always immediate. Helpful and accommodating. The food is delicious, love the atmosphere. I always take a 4 pack of start brewing beer home. Had our class reunion here a couple of years ago. The reunion was a blast with delicious food and drinks.

Yelp
Looks like more servers are needed and the oil needs to be changed in the fryers. Sent our burnt tasting tenders back to get new ones that were also very dark from old oil with a burnt taste. Waited over an hour for that? They even told me the oil wasn't changed, hence the dark color. Sorry, not good enough - especially since they knew we waited so long (over 35 min) before anyone even acknowledged us, both outside and then inside.

Yelp
The good: beers aren't bad, prices reasonable, and ample parking. The bad: Bartender was inattentive, zero personality, and we'd have to get her attention every time for a refill or anything else. There were only about 8 people there total, so not sure what the reason is..... one couple came in, sat down, and it took the bartender 10 mins to even say hi and ask them if they wanted a drink... another 20mins to ask them if they wanted any food. This whole time, at 430pm on a Sunday, other staff were running loud vacuum cleaners, pretty much a universal no-go at any place while their are customers still there, and other staff were putting the chairs up on all tables.... nothing makes you feel welcome like being treated like you are in their way and the place is closing around you. Even more lovely was the music: loud, irritating, sleezy rap playing... I'm not picky usually, but nobody wants to hear the music they play at a strip club on Monday afternoon when they are at what's supposed to be a nice brew house. The ugly: Bathrooms were disgusting, layers of grime, mold, and who knows what else all over the $14 faucets.... with a broken bathroom door, and less than 4 feet away, the open brewing area with all the clean cans waiting to be filled. Literally, the cesspool of a bathroom was right next to an open area w clean brewing supplies... no idea how much contamination happens there.... bar itself was worn out and old, just a cheap laminate top, and like a dive bar. Overall it was a shithole- and I wouldn't go back. Further more, there's no way in hell I'd buy their beer ever again after seeing how dirty their operation is.

Yelp
This is one of two restaurants I have ever left saying I would never come back to. It took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. I requested no mushroom on my steak and cheese sub (yes, over an hour for a steak and cheese) and it can out with said mushrooms. Another 10 minutes for a new one to be made. It was a lackluster sandwich that has maybe 4oz of beef in the 10 or 12" sub roll. All in all, I will never go back. Our waitress, Emily, was an absolute sweetheart though and kept checking in on us as well as giving us updates on our food order. She also quickly had the kitchen rectify the issues with my sandwich. If someone from Stark actually reads this, she deserves a raise for being so on top of things and polite.

Yelp
Stark brewery was a bit if a hidden gem I found on my walk near the riverwalk trail. I did a flight to sample some of the many beers they had on tap. They'll even give you a tour of their brewery and walk through the process if staff is available. I enjoyed my flight so much, I picked a pint of one of their pumpkin seasonals. It comes with an optional sugar rum, and it was sticky but delicious! Really cool spot and glad I stumbled in!

Yelp
I have to say i come her a few times a year and it is just an OK place..almost average but not that good. The waitress we had was good but overworked as she has a few oarties in addition to also working the tables. We ordered beer with out a rimmed glass and got a rimmed glass every time..not the end of the world. We ordered loaded nachos. Bot sure what they were loaded with but it wasnt cheese. Chicken pot pie. For the safety of yourself dont order it. We got it and the dough was raw. We returned it and got

Yelp
This place was so good I had to post immediately! The beer was good. The food was great! We just happened to stop by on Taco Tuesday. My husband got the tacos. I got the taco bake and both were amazing. We also got the beer cheese dip for an app and that was great too. The staff was so friendly and they were wonderful with my pup too. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!

Yelp
Just an update on how much I love this dog friendly place! Some pics of drinks made by carol,Amanda, and Phil and the chickens fingers still amazing as always !

Yelp
As one would expect at a brewery, there was a large selection of beers and with flights, it would be difficult for anyone not to find a few they like. The menu was pub food oriented. We had nachos with pulled pork, very good.

Yelp
I used Yelp to find this place. Be careful with the parking - there is a parking lot behind the building right along the river. The parking lot was packed when I arrived on a weeknight - and there some parking spots farther to the right - but as I started to park I noticed a sign stating these spots are reserved for the building next door - and that your vehicle would be towed. Not sure if they would follow through on this threat at night - so I found one parking spot in the area reserved for the building that Stark Brewing is located within. Stark Brewing Co. is the name of the brewery - which is located inside of Milly's Tavern. Milly's Tavern actually "serves" the brews - as well as having a full food menu. Flights come in flights of 6 or 8. I ordered the flight of 8 and selected the following brews to sample: Mt. Uncanoonuc Golden Cream Ale (4.3% ABV) Amoskeag Harvest Ale (4.8% ABV) Manch-Vegas IPA (5.4% ABV) Hopzilla DIPA (8.8% ABV) Bison's Black IPA (5.5% ABV) Grumpy Pumpkin Ale (5.0% ABV) General John Stark Dark Porter (5.4% ABV) Milly's Oatmeal Stout (4.9% ABV) None of the brews made me go "Wow," but I also did not drink any of them and think "yuck." Overall, a solid, middle-of-the-road beer offering. I'd have to say I probably liked the Bison's Black IPA the best if I had to pick one. A lot of locals like this place as it was pretty busy on a Wednesday evening! The bar servers were very nice. I think the name of mine was was a young lady named Kayleigh. She checked on me several times to see how I was doing.

Yelp
Was greatly looking forward to trying this place, had heard great reviews...booked a tour for my boyfriend's birthday and planned to have dinner here... but sadly we were extreamly disappointed . We purchased brewery tours online, $10 each were to come with a 30 minute tour, 2 samples of beer, and 10% off your purchase. We got none of these things listed! When we showed up for our tour they acted like we had inconvenienced them, at first they told us no one was available to give us the tour (the one we made reservations for 2 weeks in advance) then what seemed to be the owner/manager came over - told us to sit down sample some beers and they'd be with us shortly- we sampled the beers (which were pretty good), we waited 30 minutes past our tour reservation then were given a 5 minute rushed tour that was interrupted by another customer complaining and the guy turned and said " well that's all, I have to deal with this" we awkwardly walked back to our table. We should have just left but had hoped the food would improve our experience... the food was average ... the service was terrible - after finishing dinner we waited 25 minutes for our bill before I went and found a waitress to print our bill. When she printed the bill she would not honor the 2 samples or 10% off that was guaranteed in the tour package. We left practically in shock at the terrible service of this place. Very disappointing because it's a beautiful venue and had a lot of potential to be a great place!

Yelp
Excellent handcrafted beers, which are brewed in several tanks behind the bar. Recently, my buddy and I stopped here for Happy Hour (4PM-7PM Monday-Friday) when appetizers are half price and drafts are only $2. The Hefeweizen and the Manch-Vegas I.P.A. were excellent. Besides the drafts and a bottomless Diet Pepsi, we shared a Loaded Nachos (good chips, but way too little toppings), Red Tail Ale Sausages (spicy, lots of flavor with the sauerkraut, it's Manchvegas made) and split a Brew Battered Fish & Chips dinner (beer battered fish was very good, good crispy textured fries,& the cole slaw was very bitter & sour). The bartender was very cool and asked us if needed anything often. She kept refilling my Diet Pepsi, like three times. Not much ambiance, more like a local watering hole. There's seating at the bar, a long narrow table in front of the bar with small games and seating, and table seating on the dance floor. For gaming, there's the Golden Tee and the Simpsons pinball machine. Milly's is fairly busy on the weekends when there are live bands and a dance club with DJ. The Halloween party here was very wild and the MPD Liquor Enforcement busted in here and the youngins' scattered out of the place so fast, we could hear a pin drop. AMBIANCE: 1 STAR HANDCRAFTED BEER: 5 STARS FOOD: 3 STARS SERVICE: 4 STARS NIGHTLIFE ACTION: 4 STARS OVERALL: 3.4 STARS Come for the beer, stay for the good times!!!

Yelp
Stark brewing has a wide variety of craft beers and pub foods to enjoy all available in the bustling mill yard area of Manchester. Although not my favorite local brewery (sorry I'm a tough cookie there) Stark blew me away with their offering of a hot, mulled cider with vanilla vodka. My face lit up when our waitress let us know this was an option, as normally one can only find this in global bistros in New England. The atmosphere is fun with an old fashioned, brick mill style that attracts the young workforce from the millyard area for a post work drink. Their poutine was also delicious. Prior to COVID, Stark Brewing was an easy choice for their awesome happy hour options on apps and drinks alike. Everyone should give this local hot spot a shot!

Yelp
Great food, great people, never had a bad experience here the servers are always pleasant and the crowd is never too rowdy, Sunday brunch menu is the way to go!

Yelp
Stopped in here for dinner on our way to the White Mountains. The ambiance was pretty cool as some of the tables, including the one we sat at, were literally right next to the brewing equipment. The beer list featured ample selection and was not overly IPA-heavy, which was nice. I had the Brown ale, which went well with "the fermenter" burger I had for dinner, which featured sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms with bacon and provolone cheese. The food was on par, and so was the beer, but what really made it stand out was the staff and the manager, Carol. We make it to lots of these brew pubs and have 2 kids, one 6 and one not quite a year. At best they're usually tolerated, and occasionally we get treated like outcasts for bringing kids to a brewery. Carol, on the other hand, made our 6yo feel welcome, provided her an activity book, and even hung her picture up on the wall. Several other servers stopped by to engage her as well. To sum it up, they made her feel special. Solid food, solid beer, and great with kids? I'll stop by here any time again and be happy to spend my money.

Yelp
Great food, Happy Hour 4 to 7 discounted drafts and half off apps including chicken tenders. DOG friendly bring your fur babies. Year round and seasonal beers along with a full bar and friendly staff.

Yelp
Hands down the worst beer I've ever had and the place is just plain dirty. No clue who they're still in business selling flat, dry, and bad rating beer in New England. Stay away at all costs.

Yelp
Cheers to Peter and the Crew at Stark Mill Brewery. Atmosphere, food, service, hospitality, beers, everything about our experience was totally 5+ stars. JACK my "service dog in training" and the wiffy and I headed out last Wednesday For a couple pints, and to celebrate Jacks first week with us.We like IPAs and Starks double iPad was killer and definitely packs a punch. It pairs up well with a shot of honey jack.. It was wing Wednesday .50 each. we had a couple of each choice. They were all so good. My favorite was the Chesapeake bay seasoned. Our server was super. JACK totally loved the place and after having his first taste of bacon is hooked for life. Jack also go to hang out with a couple of fellow "service dogs in training" CHEERS to you all. Thanks for making us feel like home. See you for Sunday brunch....

Yelp
Beer is fantastic, food is always consistent. The owner And staff are top notch, friendly and they live dogs. The Building itself helps make this location feel like a cozy town pub, but Stark goes beyond that. Very involved in the local community, which gets that extra star!! The Hopzilla and Hound are solid, if you don't like IPAs there is something for every taste.

Yelp
I don't enjoy writing a negative review but this brewery is not making a good product. I tried 3 of their IPA's today and none of them tasted remotely hoppy. No aroma. No citrus. No pine. No dank. Just some flat flavor with all I could pick up was a belgian yeast type flavor. Honestly they all three tasted like flat sour hefeweizens that were 6 months too old. I hate to be this harsh but they weren't even drinkable. Bought my friends a bottle of rum for $29.99 and it was the same story. Just tasted like harsh alcohol, no rum flavor.

Yelp
I read a few reviews on Google and quickly placed an order. I wanted a burger with fries, something simple. I order a burger with mayo, onion, lettuce, and tomato. Burger - 1/5, although the burger was tastier than a 1, the face of was just meat and a bun with NOTHING I paid for to go on it was present takes all credit away. Fries - 1/5, cold upon arrival! Overrall, McDonald's offer better quality. I am actually quite surprised as to how they manage to open their doors. Maybe a new episode of 'Kitchen Nightmares" for Gordan Ramsay if he does a reboot.
google avatar

Harrison L.

Yelp
They have a bunch of beers and cocktails, however it seemed like everyone there was new. They had specials but the staff seemed to be unaware and not quite sure how to make the cocktails that show off their drinks. The drinks are fine, but not amazing. The area inside is below ground - old brick style and very dark inside. I liked sitting outside on the picnic tables, but there wasn't much of view - kind of like sitting in a parking lot under a bridge.

Yelp
Multiple times I ordered online to be delivered by mostly Uber Eats. Website stated out of stock brews, so I ordered non-out-of-stock. 3 times when doing so, I received a call from the driver that they were 'suddenly" out of it. Even the delivery driver(s) understood that advertised availability (via the website) was not accurate. 3 times (recently)received a call asking for permission for a substitution. I would suggest you find better control of inventory and mark as such on your website. "Out of stock" obviously isn't updated. I am a patient person, but when I order via your website and then after ordering, the delivery driver calls me (as if they don't do enough) asking me for substitutes? Multiple times, so a pattern. Why? Why no note about this? Simple to me...inventory not updated. When I see out of stock items, I choose an alternative. Those alternatives have also been out out of stock, but not noted on the website. I am the last person to bitch, but when it happens multiple times and nothing changes? Then why I am writing this.

Yelp
First time visitors and we will be back. Laid back atmosphere. We had the appetizer combo and the fried pickle chips are the best we've found in NH so far! Beers were crisp and cold and the entrees were great!

Yelp
On a scale of 1-10 on dog friendly the Stark Brewery gets a 10. They brought my dog a bowl of water with ice! They brought him bacon too. The staff is incredible and attentive. The food is great and the beers are great. Highly recommend even if you don't bring your dog!

Yelp
This had the potential for are star rating, but things just kept going wrong, the service was sloooooow and there were mistakes in our order and the wrong beer came after waiting 15 minutes for drinks. The food wasn't horrible, the Reuben was really good, but it wasn't exactly as ordered so was a little disappointing, but we were too afraid to send it back because we'd waited a while and were starting and didn't how long it would then be. The beer was good, but the descriptions don't match, between the paper they give you in the menu and the beer book on the table. One says the John Stark Porter had a coffee and toffee taste, so my husband who has a minor chocolate allergy ordered it, then saw halfway through it in the other book that it has a chocolate flavor. He obviously would not have ordered that. The appearance of the place needs some work. The bathrooms desperately need updating, and entrance is not very welcoming. It's alot different than it was 20 years ago, and not in a good way

Tarah N.

Yelp
Many people want credit for the kind things they do. The fact that Stark uses Christmas to give food to those in need without throwing it in people's faces is a true testament to what the holiday is supposed to be. I will always support a company that actually cares for not just their people, but strangers as well.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place...my husband sampled 6 beers and loved them all (and he's pretty hard to please). We shared the beef stew and the meat lover's pizza and I couldn't believe such high quality food came from a brewery. At the gift shop we met the owner, Peter, who couldn't have been a kinder person. He encouraged us to try their bourbon (which is the only thing....besides our kids....that we love more then beer) and it was truly top notch. After personally talking to one of the brewers, we ended up taking a bottle home.

Yelp
Cold beer on a hot day! Stark has a great selection of craft beer on tap ... also available in packs and growlers to go! The esthetic is a mill brewery feel. I cant give a fair opinion on their food as we only ordered 2 appetizers with our flights and pints on our first visit. It was rather hot out and we opted out of a heavier lunch. The menu does have a pretty good variety of things to choose from. We ordered potato skins, they were delicious but you legitimately got ONE russet cut into slices. Definitely not worth the $10 we paid....the few we shared were great but left me wanting more. We also ordered nachos and added chicken. These looked impressive with fresh jalapenos and other fresh peppers. The chicken was a bit on the plain side it didnt seem seasoned at all, however you DO get a generous portion for the $2 add on. More cheese please!!!!! Moving on...the REAL reason we came was for the beer right? Like I mentioned above Stark has quite a few beers on tap and also quite few seasonals to choose from! We each got a flight of 6. I was brave and stepped out of my usual pale ale box.. The Watermelon Wheat ...if you like watermelon..try it. Smelled and tasted as if you drink a beer with a watermelon candy in your mouth. The Blueberry Wheat ended up being one of my favorites. We were hoping to tour the brewery as we had paid ahead on Groupn for a package type deal. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately their was no brewer on site...so we'll have to return for that some other time.

Yelp
The bathrooms are dirty and the place smells like cat litter!! The owner is a complete jackass who thinks he is higher than everyone yet produces subpar product (at best) my best advice is to avoid this place! So many better breweries in NH (Pipe Dream and 603 come to mind)

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon after our hike at the white mountain. The brewery was of good size. We did the beer sampling: $7.50 for six types of beer or about 10bucks for 8. Our server slid the menu on the bar table which I found to be a little rude, but I think it's how it is. We then moved to the bar and had the flight. The whole time I knew my bar area wasn't wiped. The bartender was friendly.

Yelp
If your lookIng for a place to come in to town and trY some locals beers this place is neat. The beer is cold and tasty. The decor is mediocre, and bathrooms look like they are purposely made to be trashy. But the food is tasty and good, and the staff has the personality of a nat. But overall I give this place 3 stars.

Yelp
Our organization had an event recently at Stark and they went above and beyond for us. Despite being very busy they stayed calm cool and collected and still managed to take care of us. The food was good, the service was great, and the event was a big success. Thank you Stark Brewing.

Yelp
Did some brewery hopping today on my way to a wedding. Didn't see much special out of this place.

Yelp
Food sounded great even though we weren't going to be drinking this evening. We ordered through DoorDash (potato skins and chicken tender plate) and not only were there no fries with the chicken tender plate but both meals were burnt to a crisp. My husband threw out his chicken after taking one bite and I nibbled at the potato skins before determining they were also beyond help. It's a shame. We tried getting a refund through DoorDash but they'd only do a partial refund. We won't be back.

Yelp
First outing in a long time due to CoVid, so first thing Sunday was the right call. GREAT service, great Sunday brunch choices. Loved the Grumpy Pumpkin and hubby loved the Hound IPA. The big surprise was the spirits they make. I HATE gin, but I LOVED Stark Gin! My husband, who is a gin guy, said it would almost be a sin to mix it with anything. Very smooth! I even bought a bottle for home (I might have to get my husband his own)! Loved the Sunday discount on cans to go too!

Yelp
Visited on Sunday around 2pm, service started bad, as we didn't see/hear from a waitress for about 10 minutes. The beer was wonderful, but our appetizer took 50 minutes. The rest of our food came shortly after and was decent. What seemed to be the owner of the brewery was sitting at the bar screaming at the bartenders/waitresses making it very awkward. Overall, if you are to go here...only get beer cause that was the best part, but don't expect fast/good service. Oh and when we were walking to our cars we saw some of the cooks smoking weed.

Yelp
Stark is a pretty cool brew pub restaurant. They brew quite a variety of beers from light to dark. I had the Hound IPA which was delicious. For all you IPA lovers, this actually is very good, it had a citrus twist on it but still a good bitter bite after. I would give the Hound IPA a 7.7/10

Yelp
Bought a 6 pack of their red ale only to open one and it was flat. Called the brewery and they said bring it back and they would swap it out. I live 15 miles away and they want me to drive there to swap out my beer, thought they would at least make it worthwhile to spend my time and not to mention fuel. I will just throw this away and never buy their products again seeing that they obviously do not care about their customers.
