An everyday produce hub where family-owned stalls sell fruits, vegetables, and plants year-round. Recent listings confirm active hours, and it’s long tied to Alabama’s farm-to-consumer network.
Drove 20 miles.Had to hurry to get there before they closed. Arrived at 3:55 but they wouldn't sell me any peaches because they had already put them in the cooler. I probably won't be in a hurry to come back again.

Absolutely love it. Fruits and vegetables fresh, very reasonably. Beautiful flowers, old and new varieties. Reasonable for the most part.

I bought a spaghetti squash, small seedless watermelon, bottle of peach cider. I loved that squash with butter and cheese. It looks exactly like pasta inside when cooked. Most people struggle cutting it but I read one person suggest baking it while until soft and whalaaaa! It broke apart. Looks different from inside. Pumpkins you scrape inside and throw away for Halloween carved faces. I usually buy the cider and peach preserves at exit 205 in peach county. I haven't tasted yet this brand but it looks the same. Some things I don't want genetically altered like my career record or humans but it gets easier not having seeds especially for small kids at a picnic or back porch. They had numerous plants.

Most of what I purchased did not last 2 days I had to throw out 2 zucchini, 2 yellow squash & 1 tomato & 1 potato was ridden in the middle. Very disappointed!

Yelp
The state agriculture dept lets farmer's sell their produce here. I went on a weekend and only a couple of booths were open but I'm sure it's busier during the week. Got some fresh bananas, grapes, pears and apples. They also had 45 lb bags of peanuts, veggies and lots of gorgeous flowers and plants.

Yelp
The produce in the stores here is dreadful so I was delighted when I discovered the wonderful produce at the Alabama State Farmer's Market. The fruit and veggies are half the price that they are in stores and twice as fresh. My most recent favorite purchase was a quart sized basket of beautiful vine ripened beef steak tomatoes for $5! If you bought just one of those tomatoes in a grocery store it would cost you $2.50 a tomato and they would not be nearly as tasty. The peaches this year were fabulous too. I buy all of my produce at the Farmers Market now. I just love to go there!
The Farmer's Market also sells potted plants. The plants here are just beautiful. The plants at the Farmers Market are nothing like the plants that you would find at one of those chain stores like Home Depot or Lowes, these plants are big and healthy. And...what a bargain!
The market is open 7 days a week year round. They also take food stamps for those in need. Stop by soon and pick up some nice healthy veggies and treat yourself to good for you food.
