Built in 1937 and originally known as “Lookout Inn, my partner and I decided to stop at the State Line Lookout Cafe after a nice hike for a bite. This casual establishment is a throwback to yesteryear inside a nice stone cabin with fireplaces to warm up during cold weather and the only restaurant/cafe around in the nearby area.
I was greeted by the young staff. Their simple menu is a little diverse, from breakfast sandwiches, various burgers, and hot dogs to fries, but nothing too fancy.
We decided on a cheeseburger, a tuna fish salad sandwich, large fries to share, and drinks for takeout.
Service was friendly and quick. Prices are quite reasonable, and the food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasty.
We can recommend it.
