Built in 1937 and originally known as “Lookout Inn, my partner and I decided to stop at the State Line Lookout Cafe after a nice hike for a bite. This casual establishment is a throwback to yesteryear inside a nice stone cabin with fireplaces to warm up during cold weather and the only restaurant/cafe around in the nearby area. I was greeted by the young staff. Their simple menu is a little diverse, from breakfast sandwiches, various burgers, and hot dogs to fries, but nothing too fancy. We decided on a cheeseburger, a tuna fish salad sandwich, large fries to share, and drinks for takeout. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are quite reasonable, and the food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasty. We can recommend it.

A no frills cafe, great for a lite snack or drinks. Friendly staff, quick service and very reasonably priced.

Hidden gem alert big time!! Stateline lookout Cafe of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine is a must hit up. Food is basic but on point, prices are like 1990s. This eclectic rustic historic gem 💎 is a throwback to yesteryearl with really cool guys working it, music rocks and the views, trails and welll... up to you now. I've said enough. Dynamite!

Such an awesome staff. Great burgers and nice stone building to warm up in along the Hudson. There are bathrooms and even a fireplace. I have been coming here since I was a kid. They used to have hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick. I miss that

Was in the area to hike over and saw this little cafe was open. Stopped in with the girlfriend for breakfast/ lunch and we were delightfully surprised how pleasant the service and food was. We ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a bacon cheeseburger on a roll. Got a gatorade as well and bill came out to $17 which was actually pretty good. The fried egg was yummy and a little runny in a good way. The bacon on both sandwiches was perfectly done and not too charred or chewy. Have the mention the view is worth the drive. The staff was friendly and that’s always the icing on the cake. 100% will be visiting again.

This cafe is filled with thoughtful and courteous employees. The restroom and dining areas are clean and offer ample space for social distancing. The menu is a little diverse, but nothing too fancy. To be fair however, we visit the park for the views, the trails and to enjoy nature - not to be wooed by food. That said, they sell a solid burger that most patrons should only consume after a hike. They also offer a selection of non alcoholic beverages.

I discovered this place accidentally, and I am so glad I did. Great staff and the food was great too. Best views in the Hudson Valley for sure.

Great for lunch and access to a wonderful view! My daughter and I enjoyed a tasty lunch in the rustic Cafe along with a lofty view from atop the Palisades on this chilly January afternoon. Prices are quite reasonable and the food was hot and freshly prepared.
