Google
Great pizza, like top 3 I've had in the bay area. Went on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. Crust was good but a bit floppy in the middle. Good flavors and the pricing was also quite fair for the location and pizza. Parking however is miserable so try to get there early.

Google
Been coming here for a while now. My absolute favorite pizza - the heat and sweet. I think the honey balances the spiciness out. They have the most amazing thin crust - not too crispy yet not too doughy. They also have really good fries - crispy on the outside and soft in the middle complete with a little sprinkle of salt.

Google
One of our favorite pizzerias. They also have a great selection of beers. The space is bright and clean. Always enjoyed our meals here.

I crushed my friends on the Guardians of the Galaxy pinball machine. Relatively - no high scores :D Pizza is great, jalapeno balls are great, chips and dip are great -- visit!

State of Mind is definitely the best pizza I’ve had since moving to the Bay Area. Very interesting flavor combo choices, like their peas pizza, but also really delicious classics.

Google
State of mind Los Altos is an absolute gem. You have to try this place. Incredible beers on tap phenomenal staff. The pizza is out of this world and if you have a chance to try the ranch, be ready to buy a bottle and drink it because it is that good. Take the time to find your way to state of mind It will change your state of mind. Enjoy!!

Google
I recently had the pleasure of dining at State of Mind Pizzeria and Brewery in Los Altos, CA, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the unique and delicious "Heat and Sweet" pizza to the scrumptious jalapeño poppers, each bite was a delight. The atmosphere was vibrant and perfect for sports enthusiasts; I enjoyed watching a Real Madrid Champions League match during my visit. Additionally, the California Creamin' beer was a standout—refreshingly smooth and perfectly complemented the meal. State of Mind has mastered the art of combining great food, a fun environment, and excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch pizza and a great time in Los Altos!

Google
What a nice pizza place!!! Forgot the name, but we ordered the one with Prosciutto, OMG, it's so delicious, have to mention how they serve the pizza with honey, what a brilliant idea. Meanwhile, their salad is no joking as well, plus their outdoor dining area, just lovely 😍.

Yelp
Don't overthink it. Great pizza, and well worth a visit. I've already reviewed this place on Google but after tonight, I've got to add to the algorithm via Yelp. Please come here. It's super good pizza (all the classics, plus some shocking fancy ones like with a pea pesto or fancy estero gold cheese). So tonight, it's packed. Wait for tables? No problem, put our name in and we will play pinball. Anyways, our order got messed up (no appetizers) and the staff was absolutely lovely. The manager(?) Took the situation in and immediately made it right. No weirdness. No "let me force you to eat this salad you ordered an hour ago"... just compassionate understanding and a free beer. I don't mind mistakes, but ownership and correction? Those matter. PLEASE give that dude (short dark hair, goatee) a raise, and thank you for being my favorite spit in my new neighborhood.

Yelp
I would never choose to go here again. I came back from a hike looking for somewhere to eat. Found a review of this place saying it was perfect after their hike. So decided to give it a try. We were greeted when we entered and told to take a seat and the lady would bring us menus. She completely forgot about us. Thats fine but then my Mom went to get menus. She came back to the table with menus and said sorry she never saw us come in. We were both a little baffled because she greeted us. Anyways we ordered their ultimate pizza to share and added sausage, through the qr code. Food came out pretty quick which was great considering we were hungry. Tried a piece of sausage and it tasted funny. Not italian sausage tasting. Not sure what it was but it was off. Tasted the rest of the pizza; it was fine. Not 4.4 star good pizza. More like 2-3 star pizza. Topics just all seemed to blend in a forgettable way. Pepperoni seemed a little undercooked. The next part I am not necessarily blaming the establishment for. The noise in that place was loud. Normally im good with loud considering i go to sports bars. This was families yelling over each other to control conversation loud, and their kids running around the restaurant screaming loud. I assume it was a one off event. We left. Wont be back.

Yelp
A very popular place to stop after weekday afternoon cycling group rides. They have a good selection of beers, burgers, pizza, and appetizers. I really like that you can order a 10 oz beer if you don't want to drink a full pint, and it's priced more or less proportionally with the full 16 oz version. There is an extensive selection of local beers on draft. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, but during the busiest summer months they can fill up, with up to a 20-minute wait. However, at other times of year it is pretty easy to find a table, and they have heaters for outdoor seating in the colder months.

Yelp
My husband and I tried State of Mind Public House after a nice hike. We had an unexpected surprise. The pizza dough had such great texture- nice and chewy, the topping was tasty yet subtle. The arugula salad very fresh with almonds and mozzarella. Shishito peppers - generous serve and tasty. We ordered at the bar, service was good. Nice ambiance.

Yelp
A fantastic pizza and wings place. It was about a 15 minute wait on a Tuesday evening. We got several appetizers which were all excellent - cauliflower bites and jalapeño poppers were delectable. All of their pizzas were baked beautifully, had a nice crispness and were packed full of flavor. Good variety of wing flavors as well, although I did wish the wings were a touch meatier. Good service in a laid back environment.

Yelp
The service here was friendly and the staff looked like they all got along really well with one another. The pizza tasted good and the toppings were good too. The pizza is pricey and is paper thin. The best was to describe it would be like Amici's pizza. The first two slices are good and the bottom crispy, after that the crust gets soggy. My last slice I ate was in a soggy wet ball. The beer selection was good and they had na beers too.

Yelp
Came here in Valentine's Day around 5pm, we were told it would be a 30min but luckily it was only about 15min! We were seated and ordered via the QR code - service was eh. We got the water to the table but no acknowledgement, the pitcher and cups were put on our table pretty aggressively and the guy just turned around after he plopped it on the table. We ordered cheese fries and the half cheese half pepperoni. I would skip the fries, I legit couldn't taste the hints of cheese at all, all I could taste was beer. The pizza was good! Perfectly cooked and thin which is how we like our pizza. Their ranch is amazing! Loved their ranch. Also parking was easy - the establishment is right by a parking lot.

Yelp
YES YES YES!! FINALLY - got to come and try this place - been wanting to come but it's hard with just two of us but after a nice hike two other couples joined us for Pizza and salad here which allows us to order a bit more! AM SO HAPPY we FINALLY got to try this place and now I totally understand why it's so busy... First off - you can order at the counter or at your table with the QR code. We opted for the table - the app is pretty easy - I basically just did a search of what I wanted because it didn't quite allow me to scroll to find what I wanted but it was easy enough since the menus were on the table... We started off with the special salad - the Winterland with grilled chicken. OMG - I HIGHLY recommend. It had bits of sweet potato and little slices of kumquat. The light dressing was PERFECT. I forgot to take a pic when we got it - but you can see what was on my plate! :) I definitely was very impressed with their salad and will have to come back before they change it to their spring version!! For pizzas we got the Ultimate and El Blanco. We loved both. We started with the El Blanco and they don't just "sprinkle" on the spinach - you get chunks of tender spinach - with fresh mozz and you spread that flavorful ricotta - it's a super tasty bit. And this is great for those who are watching their intake of tomatoes! The Ultimate was the favorite with the guys... We loved the crust on both - it was PERFECT - think, crispy, a little doughy at the ends with just the right crunch on the outside and chew on the inside... and the Ultimate was PERFECT as it wasn't overly salty. I tend not to get anything with pepperoni but this one wasn't about dumping a ton of ingredients - it was about balance - balance with the mushrooms, pepperoni, mozz and i'm sure the truffle zest took it to the perfect flavor - so well balanced and DELICIOUS!! Servers were super friendly and nice. You help yourself to water which is helpful. We got the Mango flavored Liquid Death. I love Liquid Death and hope they will soon incorporate some their new flavors like Dr Death and Cherry Obituary (hint hint). I can't wait to go back - it was a fun chilled atmosphere - very family orientated and I can't wait to try more pizzas!!

Yelp
Put name on waitlist. Walk around downtown. Return and order. Enjoy yummy foods! We enjoyed everything we ordered! jalapeños poppers, cheesy fries, wings and the ultimate. Kids enjoyed the cheeseburger & impossible nuggets - the chips were super crispy & addicting! Place gets packed! Get there early!

Yelp
My husband and I are obsessed with State of Mind! They have an impressive selection of hard-to-find beers from across the state and a great menu as well. We ordered the Frankie G pizza which is as delicious as it is aesthetic. We also got a Caesar salad to share and I loved the actual anchovies that they put on top. Plus, you could tell the croutons were made there and they were nice and buttery. It gets pretty packed any given day but there are lots of places to sit both indoors and outdoors. We can already think of several friends and family members we want to bring here!

Yelp
Pi day 3.14 brought out everyone. Estimated wait time was 1.5 hours. We decided to do take out and then our table came through. We ended up eating our takeout at the restaurant. We ordered two award winning pizzas, the Ultimate and the Not Fade Away. The best one was the Ultimate. That pizza was super tasty. The Not Fade Away was unfortunately, forgettable despite its name. The place was busy. Not a lot of seating, unless you want to sit outside.

Yelp
Hadn't been to downtown Los Alto in years. I had forgotten how much I liked that little town. It was m pitstop after leaving school and heading to work. My buddy and I decided on SoM after finding it on Yelp (yeah, that's how we Elite Yelpers do!). From the 4+ star rating, we went for it. By the time we got there and found parking, I was ready to eat a whole medium-sized pizza on my own. First thing's first, we ordered a couple of pints of beer. I had the Calicraft Oaktown Brown, which was excellent. I loved Newcastle Beer before it was bought buy Sierra Nevada and they changed the formula. My buddy got a blonde (I can't remember) and he liked his as well. We order two sets of chicken wings (traditional buffalo & chipotle cola bbq) and both were very good. We devoured them within minutes. For the main course, it was a pepperoni. I figure if they get that right, it gives me faith they can do the more complex pizzas right. The pepperoni was also very good. All in all, SoM definitely warrants a return. And yes, I will. Time for the pics...

Yelp
This review is for takeout only. Their pizzas to-go are simply excellent. What sets their pie apart from others? The generosity of their toppings and a crust that's nothing short of perfection--crispy on the outside yet chewy- beautifully cooked every time. Rocket Man is my absolute favorite. The fresh arugula and zesty lemon topping bring such a bright, refreshing twist to every bite. For mushroom lovers, the Shrooms pizza is a classic loaded with an impressive amount of mushrooms--earthy and delicious. And you can't go wrong with a pepperoni pizza. With its spicy salami, it packs a delightful punch of heat. Can't wait to visit them soon!

Yelp
I'm always enthusiastic when someone recommends going to State of Mind. Wide variety of specialty pizzas. Recommend the ultimate. The crust was crispy yet fluffy - very well done. We ordered a side of hot honey and that was a wonderful addition on top. Besides pizzas, which you really can't go wrong with, the jalapeño balls and cauliflower "wings" were also hits. Friendly staff too! Not really a beer drinker but I've gotten some great reviews about their beer selections from my friends!

Yelp
My friends and I were in the area trying to figure out what to eat and figured we couldn't go wrong with pizza and beer at State of Mind. We were there right when they opened on Sunday at 11:30am and shortly after the place was filling up with groups of people for Sunday lunch. We decided to go with 2 pizzas and a salad to split between four of us and this was more than enough to fill us up for lunch and have a couple slices each for leftovers. We opted for the two Award Winning pizzas on the menu and they did not disappoint. The Not Fade Away was an interesting pizza, the walnut sauce giving it a slightly sweet component to it which paired well with the prosciutto. I think the only thing we weren't huge fans of was the escarole (I think the size of the escarole was a bit bigger than we'd like so sometimes that was all we were getting in a bite and We weren't big fans of the texture in the pizza). Nonetheless, I still thought the pizza was a good try! The ultimate was our favorite because you really can't go wrong with a classic like pepperoni and mushroom. I do love that they used the small pepperoni as well. The winterland salad was nice and refreshing, something to help offset the pizza and beer lol. As for the beer, lots of options for different preferences. I love that they had Humble Sea. I like a good Hazy IPA and got the juice smack, which was the perfect addition to a great meal. Overall, good food and good vibes. It's definitely a nice place to grab food and hang out with friends. Id go back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Great pizzas, beer's & service!! Our group of 14 was seated promptly (we had a reservation) and it was a snap to order from the QR codes and keep all the orders separate. Ultimate pizza was not bad, should have had more toppings and cheese. Mushroom was good and Hobbs (jalapeno and bacon and hot honey) had a lot going for it. Of course you can add other toppings at $2 each. Very fun experience and plenty of parking!

Yelp
I've been stopping into the Los Altos location for years, it's become my favorite lunch spot between the San Francisco and Monterey Bay AreasI originally found it on Pinball Maps because they have a nice selection of pinball machines, but come back for the enticing beer selection and excellent food. The Bird Song Chicken Sandwich is undoubtedly one of my favorite sandwiches, period. Add bacon - it's worth it. The pizzas are killer, the wings and jalapeño cheese bites are also recommended. My favorite detail however is the consistency. They've got a dope ass game plan and they stick to it really well. And did I mention pinball? Yeah... it doesn't get much better.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for a little pizza and wings and realized how popular this place can be , about 1.5 hour wait but will say they did good job to get us in about an hour. Overall , very positive experience. We had the cheese pizza , wings , fries and a salad all of which was excellent. The overall ambiance is that of a cool little local pizza place with inside and outside seating and a bunch of pinball games in a back room. Very nice overall feel. Now the one item which was less than excellent was service , it was either extremely pleasant or I'm bothering them feel. The variance in staff customer service was extreme. Seem like a few people maybe have not a great day , but maybe just a one time thing so will try it again , for those in the party not ordering they really loved the experience So shout out to the front reservation , the guy that took our order inside and the great kitchen staff and food server. To the others , hope today is better But give this place a try you will really enjoy the food !
google avatar

Yelp
Oh man is this place popular and busy! My friends and I came here on a Friday. There were 5 of us. It took about an hour to get a table. We were seated outside and ordered through the QR code. Food: To start, we ordered the following: Fries - Crispy & standard Petite Breakfast & Jelly - You cannot go wrong with a soft cheese and some pepper jelly. Jalapeño Balls - These were delicious even if the portion was small for the price. We made the great decision to order 5 pizzas for the 5 of us. I ordered the El Blanco pizza. It was pretty delicious. The other pizza I tried was the cheese. It was pretty good. I did not try the other 3 pizzas, but my friends enjoyed them. Service: Service was pretty quick. As we were seated outside, we didn't interact too much with staff. We ordered through the QR code and our food came out as it was ready. TL;DR - Deservingly so packed pizza place!

Yelp
Had State of Mind bookmarked on my list and was glad to finally try. Very spacious indoors and outdoors, and it was quite empty on Tuesday lunchtime. We ordered at the counter, an order of cheese fries and a half and half pizza. I wanted to try the sweet heat, but they could only do halfsies on the first half of the pizza menu. Friend ordered the SOB and I got the Ultimate. Our cheese fries came out quick, and the fries were piping hot, yummy beer cheese slathered on top. The fries reminded me of In n Out fries, very yummy, but just wish they were crispier. Our pizza came out shortly after, and looked plentiful with toppings. The Ultimate...I wish it had more truffle flavor, could not taste it at all. The crust was soft and chewy, but only qualm was the pizza was very soggy. The pizza was thin and possibly too much sauce on top. Overall, a great addition to Los Altos and plenty of food options and beer.
google avatar

Jenn N.

Yelp
This place has got to be my absolute favorite pizza place in the Bay Area! Friend recommended coming here after tennis and I am so glad he did. The service was very good, waiters were attentive and nice, and you can also self serve water at the bar. It is a QR code to order so it did expedite the process. I am a sucker for mushrooms and let me tell you, the Ultimate Pizza is absolutely phenomenal. The truffle isn't too overpowering and the crust on the pizza is crispy and the right amount of dough. The Frankie G was mainly for aesthetics and it was pretty yummy. However it is a bit too creamy for me with the additional cheese on top -- so if you love cheese, this pizza is for you. I absolutely love Arugula and this salad was very light and had the right amount of seasoning. Overall, great vibes, parking is easy and food is delicious. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
This pizza place is one of my go to place. It's a family friendly place too. Parking is tight but I do not mind going there. Love the staff! After I got a Review Posted message, I clicked the x but sent me back here!

Yelp
Wow! What a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Los Altos! You can not go wrong with a grandmas pie as it is honestly some of the best pizza I've EVER had. Yea, bold statement, right? Their wings are super delicious and so are their Jalapeño balls. Great beer on draft and cans. Ask for Ashley, she is great and super attentive while holding conversations with her guests making you feel at home. Super clean establishment and you can see the cooks doing sauces and prepping everything by hand so you know it's going to be super fresh. I would HIGHLY suggest coming here if you're ever in the area. Thank me later.

Yelp
Hey i came back i was super wrong or i got a weird one i dont know what i was on but this is a great pizza with great staff and the best ingredients anybody has access to. Also the burgers are phenomenal

Yelp
Stopped in with a group of friends after a short hike a couple of weeks ago for a sit-down meal, and then we found ourselves in the area again and decided to grab pizza again as take out. Short story: get the Grandma Pie, if it's available. I think it's something about the dough on this pie, but it is satisfying chewy and crispy and the sauce is flavorful and fantastic! When we got it with the group, we got it plain with no additions and it was a group favorite, and then when we got it as take out we added the vegan sausage (I am vegetarian, husband and friends are not) and it was even better! The friends we got take out with didn't even know it was vegan until they saw me eat a slice, and they also thought it was delicious! Other group favorites include the heirloom goat cheese pizza (can confirm tasty) and the sweet heat pizza (non-veg, but husband and friends enjoyed it). We also had ordered the fries with truffle zest and the squash rings as sides with the larger group. The fries were lukewarm and dry, but I appreciate that they did truffle powder instead of truffle oil (which often leads to overly oily fries), but the squash rings were piping hot and tasty! It's a pleasant place for a sit down meal--we we're seated outside and there was a bit of a wait for lunch on a weekend, but the pizza hit the spot! It's a cute location for a stroll after the meal, too. Their take out is also pretty easy, the pickup area is dead ahead walking through the main doors and a bit to the right, but my husband wasn't able to make the order via their website on his iPhone for some reason so we used our friend's computer and that went smoothly, YMMV. We don't end up in the Los Gatos area often, but if we are and we're looking for food, we'll definitely be keeping State of Mind in mind!
google avatar

Yelp
When it comes to pizza, I can never get enough... so of course I found myself at State of Mind Public House on Saturday night, while in Los Altos for a film fest. The almost world famous Jalapeno Balls were tasty and unique. And the award winning Ultimate pizza was yummy, with different kinds of mushrooms adding to the flavor, even if it didn't really stand out otherwise. We didn't have dessert here, but they had so many flavors of It's-It ice cream sandwiches, I was definitely tempted! The venue was modern with a family friendly atmosphere and an arcade with tons of pinball machines. You order at the bar or through a QR code at the table (first come first serve seating). The staff was friendly and helpful, though we were there during the last hour of business, and around closing time at least one of the employees was banging the seats around quite loudly while cleaning the restaurant without any care for how that may ruin customers' experience... let's just say it was bad enough for me to mention here and knock off a star from this review, imagine the endless clanging of metal while you're trying to have a pleasant conversation and enjoy dinner with loved ones. Other than that, this is a cool spot for some decent pizza and appetizers.
google avatar

Shana T.

Yelp
This is a fun place to take the family with its selection of bar food taken up a notch, huge selection of beers and cocktails and arcade with classic pinball machines. My son chose this place after his graduation from SJSU because they have a great variety of specialty pizzas that we all could share. Everyone's favorite was the Heat and Sweet: EVOO, garlic, strips of bacon, jalapeño and hot honey and a close second was Frankie G Special: pepperoni, ricotta. I still enjoyed the Not Fade Away with its unusual combo of walnuts, mushrooms, prosciutto, walnut vinegar and parsley and El Blanco with EVOO, garlic, spinach, ricotta, red onion and balsamic vinegar but wanted more of the Heat and Sweet. We washed down our pizza with a pitcher of cider and boy did I have a happy food coma. It's a bit out of the way for us but we need to put this place in our rotation more often!
google avatar

Alayna K.

Yelp
The el blanco was insanely flavorful and crispy! And the slices are huge. Incredible pizzas. I will be back Loved the casualness. Heat and sweet had the perfect amount of heat / flavor. The square pie was good wish the outside was just a little crispier but overall still stunning pizzas!
google avatar

R S.

Yelp
Come for the Pizza. Stay for the Fried Chicken Sandwich OMG. I really wanted pizza when I came here for lunch, but the fried chicken sandwich cried out to me. This was hands-down the BEST fried chicken I've ever had. And the black pepper cole slaw on the OG sandwich was phenomenal. If you're anywhere nearby (I went to the Redwood City location), you gotta make a stop here.
google avatar

Salvatore P.

Yelp
This is my first time here. I was in the area doing a job and decide to get some client recommended. This place because I wasn't in the mood for some good pizza and boy. Were they right? I ordered their Mushroom and Olive. And Buffalo wings. And it was delicious.I will definitely bring my family here sometime in the weekend
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars. We've been here like twice a month for the last few months and the food is consistent. You order at the counter then the food is brought to you. The menu has such a variety of food and everything I've tried was amazing. They have great options for vegetarians. I recommend the cauliflower wings with buffalo and jalapeño on the side. Jalapeño poppers are also so good, if you like spice. Grandma's pie is my fave, without the meat of course. They have a variety of beers and draft root beer is a must! I could go on and on. Also, the chili oil is a plus! They also have a pet friendly patio but if you want to sit inside they offer arcade games.

Yelp
I came to downtown Los Altos to try State of Mind for lunch. I appreciated the warm, cozy atmosphere and decorations. Each table had parmesan cheese (which tasted much better than the parmesan at other restaurants) and chili oil, which I had never seen before at a pizzeria. The chili oil pleasantly enhanced the flavor of the pizza. We ordered The Ultimate pizza because we were intrigued by the "award winning" note on the menu. I would highly recommend The Ultimate if you like mushrooms! The pizza had perfectly cooked, thinly sliced mixed mushrooms, pepperoni, and truffle zest. I loved the flavor and texture of the pizza crust! It was the perfect blend of crispy and chewy, like a fresh baguette. The sauce was also notably flavorful and fresh, which made the pizza stand out from others I've tried. The pizza was more than enough for me and my boyfriend. I took home a few slices, and they still tasted amazing the next day! We also ordered cheese fries, which were good. I prefer slightly crispier fries, but overall this was a delicious and satisfying meal!
google avatar

Aden G.

Yelp
This is a nice not-so-unknown pizzeria. Pizzas have thin and crispy bottom with chewy edges. Ultimate pizza was tasty and would recommend if you like mushrooms. Magherita pizza sauce was not too sweet but still good. 14" can feed two and two pizzas for three people are more than enough unless you are a big eater. I wish the pinball machine take coins or bills instead of having to buy a card for $2. Not good for a casual player.
google avatar

Nina S.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a fun dinner out or date! The atmosphere, pizza, drinks, and service are awesome. I love the Heat and Sweet pizza, but this time we tried the Ultimate with gluten-free crust, and it was really good! They've got a bunch of pinball machines inside and cornhole outside. My partner and I had a blast playing the Shrek and Simpsons pinball games. They've also got a good selection of beers. If you're into IPAs, definitely give the Drake's Best Coast a try. The staff is super friendly and nice. We always have a great time and leave with happy, full bellies! Tip: If you're lactose intolerant, they've got lactose-free cheese for pizza that's tasty--my partner and I always go for it!
google avatar

Yelp
Always the best! The grandma pie was more like a focaccia dough but overall it was good. I still prefer their regular old pizzas:) Service always top notch

Yelp
I think this will be my new go to spot for pizza! Arrived on a Monday night around 6 for 2 and it was packed. Friend and I waited around 15min for a table. We ordered the award winning ultimate which came with plenty of mushrooms (my favorite) and Burrata. First time having Burrata and it was very delicious. I really enjoyed the baked Brussels sprouts that it came with. For drinks, got their peach and guava. Overall, I enjoyed the food and ambiance. Very laid back place with good food and drinks

The food this evening was not the usual deliciousness we are used to. It was bland, not cooked all the way. Not sure if the kitchen staff tonight was new or they felt rushed. We always get our usual - jalapeño balls, onion rings and our favorite, El Blanco. We did share our feedback with the manager on duty. Disappointed especially when we consider ourselves regular (i.ie once every two or three weeks).

Yelp
Pizzas and jalapeño poppers here are just amazing! The prices are reflective of the high quality ingredients they use so please know that the higher prices are justified. You'll have to come early for their special grandma pizza, which they only bake in a very small quantity daily. They also offer beer and wine. When you dine in the service is relatively quick. When you order takeout then you should order ahead by about 1.5 hours. They make their pizzas fresh and meticulously plan their kitchen and pizza output. That's why you have to order ahead of time and make sure you're there at the exact time mentioned to pickup the pizza. You can go sooner but the pizza will only come out at the designated time. We usually order from their website directly. The ambiance is very much like an old school diner/arcade vibe. We love the pizzas and come back regularly as a special treat. Definitely go check it out! Awesome pizzas!

Yelp
I was walking around the area and happened to notice that this business looked quite busy. After doing a quick Yelp search and seeing that there were many positive reviews, we decided to eat lunch here. The employee seating us was nice, but the cashier wasn't the best. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the Zucchine e Burrata. The pizza was not at all what I was expecting, even though I had read the ingredients, I failed to realize this pizza had no kind of sauce on it! It was also so thin! My husband and I stared at each other with incredulous looks on both our faces. It tasted a bit plain at first, but then I realized that was part of the uniqueness of this pizza. It wasn't heavy, greasy, or oily. Instead, it was light and fresh tasting. The pizza definitely wasn't very filling...but although the crust was the thinnest pizza crust I've ever seen in my life, it was cooked well and not burnt, which was a huge plus for me - I despise black/charred pizza crust. I would opt to try a pizza with sauce next time.

Yelp
State of Mind is a gem for anyone who loves great beer, amazing food, and a warm, inviting vibe. The beer list is outstanding--seriously one of the most impressive I've seen. They even had this medieval-style, room-temperature beer (I wish I could remember the name!), which was a unique experience. I tried several beers and loved the variety. While I didn't get to have the pizza this time (though I know from past visits it's absolutely next level), the real star of the show was the jalapeño poppers. OMG. These are hands-down the best jalapeño poppers I've ever had. I ended up ordering two servings because I couldn't get enough--and even convinced the people sitting next to me to order some too. Total win! If you're in the South Bay, this place should be at the top of your list. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Went with a party of 10. I thought the pizza was great. What's good, is that for a large party, each person can just scan the QR code to order and pay for their own food. No need for bill splitting.

Yelp
Pretty good spot. Came here by accident and don't regret it. Some of the best pizza I've had. Cocktail I had was pretty expensive for being watered down white wine, but the pizza more than made up for it. It was right out of the oven and tasty. You can also eat outside which is a plus and the environment is pretty chill. A nice little spot.

Yelp
So nice to eat outside on a warm summer evening - new staff training brought us wine and fries we did not order or buy - BONUS [5] We did buy the bottle of Bonnie Doon red wine which paired really well with both delicious pizzas. Everything made and delivered quickly with a smile - very nice family-friendly vibe - noisy inside, quieter outside. We'll be back!

Yelp
Good, delicious pizza and decent appetizers. We went on a weekend afternoon and got seated immediately! Food: 4/5. The pizza is great, it's piping hot when it was served. We got the insomniac pizza and it was so good. The crust is thin, just the way I like it. The filling is their signature sauce, pepperoni, and sausage. I loved it. We also had their chicken wings. To be honest, that was a miss in my opinion. The wings were not really my type, it was a bit on the cold side when they served us the wings. Vibes: 4/5. They gave us the option to order from the counter or online. We chose to do so online. Everything is quite convenient and they serve the food after you open your tab on your phone. Drinks and water are also ordered on your phone.

Yelp
Was in downtown Los Altos recently looking on Yelp as I craved pizza and burgers. The State of Mind Public House and Pizzeria immediately popped up and piqued my interest. As I read review after review, it was clear that we'd be picking up lunch here. Reading their web site, they won "World's Best Non-Traditional Pizza at the 2017 International Pizza Expo". That's a huge accomplishment and now we had to try their pizza! You order at the bar area and they bring the food out to your table. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor tables but it started filling up as we approached noon. I am a huge fan of pepperoni mushroom pizzas so I had to try their Ultimate pizza which consisted of mixed mushrooms, pepperoni, and truffle zest. The pizza came out relatively quick and was steaming hot. The first thing I noticed was the perfectly charred crust and the generous amount of mushrooms and pepperoni. That first bite was heaven! What an amazing creation! This has got to be one of my favorite pizzas in the whole bay area! Since starting the draft on this review, I went back a second time and ordered the same pizza. Again, it was amazing! I also ordered the S.O.M Burger which was cooked perfectly with a well-seasoned patty. It comes with a huge amount of French fries If you make it in time for Happy Hour, there's deals on beer and apps. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained with plenty of lot and street parking nearby. If you happen to go on Thursday late afternoon when the farmer's market is happening, depending on which way you're coming from, it may be hard to drive easily there. We happened to stop by on a Thursday and just parked where we could and walked a few blocks to the restaurant. I almost forgot to mention that they have a cool back game area filled with retro arcades and pinball machines. 50c for the arcades and 4 quarters for the pinball machines.

Yelp
I'm all about given kids a start and gaining work experience but a combination of the paper work sheet and their inherent inexperience leads to an incredibly disorganized and chaotic experience. The foods good but not worth the sh*t show that comes with it. A teenager takes your name and number down on a piece of paper and says 1 hr...I then look inside and ask can I sit at that open table and it's described as reserved for someone earlier on the list. This table sits empty for 30min. I'm also told tables by the bar are managed by reservation yet hawks regularly just sit down and eat....in short give these kids a legit seating program and training if you want to drive greater throughput and improved customer experience. It's manifested across almost every visit hence the feedback.

Yelp
The quality and taste has been going down hill the past few months. The grandma pie pizza seems to be burned and lacks flavor every time now. The chairs are sooo loud when they're being moved around, it's stressful sitting inside.
