The 20 Best Restaurants On Martha’s Vineyard 2024

"One of the few nicer restaurants not in Oak Bluffs, State Road in West Tisbury serves a solid farm-to-table menu in a dining room that works well for a dinner with the parents or date night. The burgers are excellent, the seafood is fresh—we love the cod en brick covered in herb butter—and most of the produce comes from the surrounding gardens. You can dine on a patio in the gardens, or in the rustic chic space, and the wine list is packed with grüners and vinho verde that pair perfectly with seafood and warm breezes. " - tanya edwards

This place could get more stars!! We made State Road our first stop once getting to MV and were fortunate to get a spot at the bar - we had no reservations. The food was perfect and full of flavor. There are too many good things to say for one review. The only negative is that fine dining establishments like this one give small portions and I left hungry. If you ever come to MV this is a must eat restaurant. As good as any place I’ve been in my life. Flawless experience

Google
Definitely make a reservation. Very well crafted space with curtains and hidden lighting. The Hen of the woods with soubise I could eat for hours! Focaccia is good to share and unique. Carrots weren't really developed they're just sorta soft carrots :/ could roast them slower and longer. Panda cup sake was super good like alcohol but smooth coconut water. The lamb had no taste it was like everything else on the plate had a voice but the lamb was just texture with grilledness.. It was expertly cooked though.

As year rounders, we generally suffer through the summer with super over priced, often mediocre meals at all the super hot spots that summer visitors flock to. We generally just stay home. Tonight we enjoyed a fabulously prepared meal at State Road. Other than the very excellent food, with rich flavors and perfect quality and presentation, the highlight was the service. The staff is attentive, collaborative, and skilled without being intrusive. So different than our experience at any other Vineyard restaurant during the summer. Thanks so much. Wish you could do something more about the noise level in the main dining room. We're older and hard of hearing and it's pretty loud when full. But we'll keep coming for the great food and great service team.

I had this place on my Cape Cod bucket list specifically because I read somewhere Larry David frequents it (sorry, Larry). Now I know why! It was absolutely delicious and amazing start to finish. The drinks, food, service, ambiance-all perfect! I really appreciated the manager squeezing us in since we did not have reservations (make reservations)! It was my favorite meal on my Cape Cod and Islands adventure!

Google
Tuesday night is burger night so we planned to go here all along! We both ordered Wood Grilled Burger which was wagyu beef, balsamic onions, bacon, cheddar or brie, garlic dill pickles on a potato bun. We shared a side of fries. Everything was tasty and we are glad we added this to our culinary journey of Martha’s Vineyard.

Google
Everything about State Road is excellent. From the warm inviting atmosphere, to the friendly and knowledgable wait staff, to the top notch food. We have been here a couple of times and can not say enough good things about our experiences here. We brought a friend to dinner with us last night and every bite of everything we got was so good we kept sharing bites with each other. Reasonably priced for what you get with large portion sizes and nice menu options for everyone. The appetizer plates are generously sized, great for sharing and the wine list has a nice variety of price points. Don't skip dessert, we loved our Olive Oil Cake and the Chocolate Terrine. This is a not to be missed dinning experience.

Google
Been coming to State Road ever since it opened. Could t be a more loyal customer through all the changes/chefs etc. Wanted to book for my 20th anniversary. They wouldn’t make an exception to their one month out reservation policy which I was surprised at, but what was worse the woman was very rude and hung up on me!! That’s always the problem with Martha’s Vineyard, loyalty can be a one way street because they know there aren’t as many options, and people can just be rude to their best customers without a second thought. It is a great restaurant though so I gave the food 5 stars and the atmosphere 5 stars, just have to tolerate the arrogance/rudeness sometimes. I guess we’ll go somewhere else!

Google
Came here on a Friday pre summer season. David was our server and was excellent. The menu has a little bit for everyone. We got the oyster sampler (delish), polenta (okay, a bit under seasoned), and chopped salad (fresh, zippy, bitter, wish there was more nuts and blue cheese) to start. For our mains I got the mussels and OMG - best broth I’ve ever had with mussels. My husband got the cod which he loved. Again, David was top notch with his recommendations and menu knowledge. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Yelp
The food is insanely good and fresh - you can tell the ingredients are from local farms. The service is attentive and lovely. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Service was very friendly and accommodating. We got bunch of different things, but among them were the Focaccia and Roasted Cod. The Focaccia was good -- a bit dense for my taste -- but the rest of the table loved it. My Cod was excellent, cooked well, and the broth was particularly satisfying. It's a bit pricey, but for a celebratory meal or occasion I'd go back again!

Yelp
5/5 stars all around. Every dish is crafted with such detail. The flavors are abundant. Friendly staff. Farm to table atmosphere. You know you're getting the freshest food possible. Pure excellence! A must-visit spot!

Yelp
The worst customer experience cancelling a reservation due to a medical emergency I have ever had in my life. It's one thing to tell someone your policy, another to be completely rude and tactless when plans change and you need to bring a friend to the ER right before dinner. Was really excited to eat here, but will never do so in the future.

Yelp
My wife and I traveled to Martha's Vineyard to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. A friend told us we needed to go to State Road for a special meal. OH MAN, was that friend on point. Started by getting out of our car and smelling fragrant burning hardwood which I have to believe was from a wood fired oven. The grounds are beautiful and the building really interesting. We were greated warmly and shown to our table. Our server at one point brought over a small gift and wished us a Happy Anniversary, great touch! The food! The single BEST focaccia bread I ever had in my life! My wife had a Cod and Lobster dish that she simply raved about. I had the Hanger Steak which in no way resembled any Hanger Steak I have ever had! Simply fantastic. Dessert hit on all points as well. Hint, get something chocolate. Thank you, we will be back!

Yelp
Now it's not everyday (honestly almost never) I feel like I want to give a restaurant a 10 star rating, but State Road BLEW me away!!! We came here to celebrate our anniversary dinner and arrived a little before our reservation time. They happily let us sit on the patio area and enjoy some drinks before our table was ready - they even helped move us to the bar seating as soon as it became available. Once we sat down, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of popcorn for our anniversary gift! The restaurant was lit beautifully with just enough light to read the menus but not too much where it became not as romantic. We made the choice this evening to try a few different appetizers and one entree to let us try various items off the menu, and boy am I glad we did! EVERY dish was one worth trying, we were close to licking our plates! We started with a black sesame focaccia that came with an olive tapenade butter - now i'm an avid olive hater and this homemade olive butter changed my mind. I don't think I've had bread as fresh as this one nor as complex of flavors for a focaccia before! We also had the lamb skewers, which were unique in terms of cuisine on the menu. We couldn't quite nail this place down to any one style or cuisine! It was delicious as expected, but on the smaller portions side. We moved on to trying the menemsha lobster corn bread and oh my goodness. I give so much kudos to the chef here for making a perfect blend of a celery puree base with corn bread and lobster somehow all mixed together. This was unlike anything i've ever tasted. Celery can tend to be over powering, but this was quite literal perfection. We did decide to also get the burger because we feared 3 apps may not have been enough food, but I will say by the time the burger arrived, I wish we had left it out! Compared to the other dishes, the burger was the least of the hits (while still being a top item). The burger had a twist with brie melted on it (how creative!!). Even after stuffing ourselves with the burger, we were so taken away by the deliciousness we were encountering, we could not dare skip out on dessert! And thank goodness we didn't. We enjoyed the Coconut chocolate cake as our finale while savoring each and every bite. The farm to table here is one that really stays true to their values and meaning. Probably the most authentic farm to table I have eaten to date. It was an honor to eat such creative foods, we were looking forward to coming back even the next day just to try the other dishes on the menu! An ABSOLUTE must try on the island!!! I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I went on a burger Monday with my bf. We didn't have a reservation so we had a short wait for a seat at the bar. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The gardens are nicely planted and comfortable for the wait. The menu was casual and sufficiently diverse for burger night. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and we both ordered the lamb burgers and a side of fries. Our dinner was delicious then we both had cappuccinos and shared a vanilla gelato with expresso. We were buzzing with caffeine when we left and look forward to returning again soon.

Yelp
What a great experience! From the service to the food, it was all very pleasant. Ambiance: The place is clean and well decorated. They have lovely, tasteful art with a good amount of mood lighting. They have pretty cute plates and cutlery and they do the fancy napkin rings. Service: We were seated right away for our reservation and our waitress was really wonderful. She made sure to check in on us but wasn't overbearing. Food: Really delicious mussels with just amazing sour dough bread. The sauce was also incredible. It wasn't swimming in the broth like most other mussels were but there was plenty for dipping. The portion sizes were pretty decent for the price as well. We ordered the cod and the duck leg confit. both were phenomenal. Price: very fair for being on MV and as fancy as they were. Overall, this would be a great place for fine dining as well as casual. The prices are fair for what they offer and being on the island. There is plenty of parking but it can be easy to miss the turn in when you are driving to this place. I highly recommend you try!

Yelp
Another great meal on MV. Super cute cottage feel, beautiful garden and great service from Erin! Beer and wine only. I had a delightful red on tap. Eric was full of suggestions and expertly described the specials. I order both. First course was a delicious braised brisket with house made hummus and a large piece of crusty bread. The gravy made me want to the plate. We ordered the carrots to share with the table. They came on a bed of Greek yogurt with lime and honey which was to die for. My lamb was very good but not as good as the Outermost. It needed a little more seasoning. Chops came on a bed of spaghetti squash that was burnt in some areas. Everyone else at the table loved their meals. Certainly one of the best we have had in the last 10 within the same price point. Desserts were the best we had by far all week. We will be back.

Yelp
Outstanding food, service, and ambiance. Great cocktails and beer on tap. Loved the freshly baked focaccia bread appetizer- so delicious! We had the roasted chicken and cod dishes. Both were super fresh and the cod had some beautiful vegetables with it. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for a great meal!

Yelp
Excellent dinner and dining experience here at Martha's Vineyard. We love this restaurant, it is really beautiful and quaint. State Road is by far one of our favorite restaurants on the island. Highly recommend the roasted chicken and rice dish. The chopped salad and focaccia is wonderful, and my husband tried the hangar steak, also delicious! We polished off our dinner with the affogato with decaf espresso. What a delight. Erica our server was amazing! We can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Izzi S.

Yelp
The servers were great, not overbearing but very attentive and kind! The food was incredible- each dish was an experience. There are unexpected flavors in different parts of the dish that pop and the textures compliment each other beautifully. The dishes were just overall beautifully and thoughtfully composed. My table got the scallop dish, halloumi appetizer, and the striped sea bass special.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited State Road during our trip to Martha's Vineyard and it was the best dining experience on the Island that we had. It's a nice ambiance which is perfect for an intimate dinner. The service was responsive, friendly and competent. With regards to food the carrot crab bisque was delicious along with the bread. I wasn't as impressed with the entrees and thought the carrots were too hard (I sous vide my carrots at home and they come out perfect). Overall a great experience and would come back to try the burger night.

Yelp
Even as take-out this one was wonderful. Here are my notes: "Excellent fried chicken, excellent halibut, excellent bolognese, excellent brussel sprouts, excellent corn..." Get the idea. I'll give a shout out on top of the shout out for the fried chicken and the bolognese. Elevated food...

Yelp
Due to COVID concerns from someone in our party, we did take out. Had Kefta as an appetizer which was outstanding (should mention that I am of Syrian descent). A rare burger was cooked as requested and the chicken as well as the swordfish were excellent

Yelp
Didn't have a reservation, but I was able to sit at the bar. Had the Vivian to start cause that's the name of my niece. It was quite delicious. Just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. Everything on the menu looked so good! I was torn between the Halloumi and the Oxtail soup as my starter. Per my server's recommendation, I got the Halloumi, and it did not disappoint! I also got the oxtail soup as a takeaway to have for the following night, and it was also very delicious. I'm glad, though, that I went with the Halloumi because the soup was quite filling and served as its own meal the next day. I also got the pull apart bread as a starter, which filled the hole of my bread loving heart. It tasted as good as it looked! For the main course I went with the scallops. The scallops were so tender and were complimented by the creaminess of the cauliflower puree and the crunch of the shaved almonds and edamame. The truffles were the cherry on top. I finished the night with a Tawny port and a triple chocolate cake. They were the perfect compliment together and a great way to end the dinner. I am so happy with my choice to dine here! I already told my friend, who is visiting here in a couple of weeks, that I am taking her here for dinner, and she has no choice in the matter! I can't wait to come back and try more food, this time hopefully with a reservation, so I can enjoy the main dining room!

Yelp
PERFECT! My neighbor recommended this restaurant for our first time visiting the Vineyard, and it was excellent. Wonderful staff, perfect lighting, great decor, and of course...the fabulous food! I rarely ever get chicken when I'm out to dinner, but the lemon spice reeled me in. It was so delicious. My only problem was the portion was so large, I could only eat half. Sadly we were at an Inn Vs a house, so I couldn't bring home the other half. We actually hate bringing food home as we often get busy and it never gets eaten, but we would have if we could cause I would have loved to finish this great dish the following day. No worries, my husband had no problem eating most of it and just burned off the calories when he did the full marathon that wknd. He loved it too! I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

Yelp
How happy would you be if you bought a car and had one flat tire? I ordered the cod which came with local clams and there was supposed to be 4 but one was closed. The waitress said that they pre assemble the dish and I lost out on the clam. There was no compensation or acknowledgement. Also, the description of the dish included herbs-if you consider salt an herb there was herbs on it. The whole meal was lackluster and overpriced for the quality. We had the summer salad which was fresh (not including the under ripe tomatoes) and the dressing had a pleasant flavor (blueberry, lemon, sumac) but there was no oil to give it substance. The salad dressing was thin and tasted like a low calorie option from sweetgreen. The strawberry was good. The mussels were generally good. They were much better at the Seafood Shanty in Edgartown. They came in a sherry cream sauce and the leeks were well prepared. The bass over corn chowder was decent. The skin was cooked properly. It tasted like bass and creamed corn. It was not worth the ($39). The milk bread with the chive butter was the highlight.

Yelp
Loved it. Lots of locals eat here. Went for burger night. It's enough to split but it is outstanding. My wife actually picked this place to celebrate her 60th birthday.

Martin S.

Yelp
Great service . Unique food . Fresh vegetables and the owners are there to make sure the quality is good .

James S.

Yelp
Great meal, ambiance, and service. My most favorite place on Martha's Vineyard. Only problem is getting a reservation .

Andrea F.

Yelp
All around awesome experience. I will be back for the amazing food and the ambiance. It is not along the water, but they more than make up for it with their fireplace and calming decor. Service is top notch. A must hit when in Martha's Vineyard

Alex M.

Yelp
Middle of the road restaurant. My partner has been there in the past and she swears it was good. But last night it was middle of the road food. Our steak was supposed to be medium was given to us more on the rare side. The swordfish was very dry and overcooked. Finally we asked for a chocolate desert that was literally a bar of chocolate on a plate (picture attached) Listen this is fine BUT put a description of it in the menu AND have the waiter tell you when you are asking for a fancy chocolate bar. All in all you can (and should) do better.

Ken B.

Yelp
LOVED this place!! Food was fresh and original, awesome service and a beautiful property. Had a baked cod dish that was out of this world, and a beet salad with stuff that must have been picked that day. Reasonable and eclectic wine list, and great ambiance. Definitely put this place on your list in MV!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Great food, service on point, limited menu for alcohol but that's due to the silly liquor license rules in the area. We had halloumi salad to start, which my girlfriend loved as she had never eaten halloumi before, followed by short rib and monkfish.

F T.

Yelp
Excellent setting, cuisine, and service. Enjoyed the salads, German fries, duck breast, scallops, and chocolate terrine. Took some chocolate bars to go as well. Go early before the rush. Noticed and appreciated their gracious hospitality to a young family with a toddler and baby who was there for an early dinner as well. Classy.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good but over priced! The service is quite good. Hard to get a reservation unless you book it a month in advance.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch w a group of 12 for a bachelorette weekend. Great hospitality. Food was awesome. I ordered the egg sandwich w the house made sausage and it was just the right amount of food. Unfortunately, at noon, they ran out of the lemon pancakes and grits. Our table ordered various menu items including the granola, corned beef hash, burgers, kale salad and burgers. We also ordered the Limpopo, chocolate donut and amaretti cookie. The donuts were moist and the cookie was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. We were leaving and going to get the rest of the baked goods to go. They were so kind and offered them to us. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the baked goods. We tried the lemon tart, cranberry scone and chocolate cookie!!!

Julianna L.

Yelp
When you walk in, you are greeted kindly. The servers are knowledgeable and not overbearing. Our server was attentive and kind. The burger and the risotto were great along with the apple crumb pie. Everything tasted fresh and carefully created. From the food to the service, I'd say it was a fantastic experience. I see other reviewer's commenting on the lighting. I actually thought it was nice to have everything dimly lit.

Yelp
We arrived early hoping to charm our way into a table before our 845pm reservation. The incredibly lovely hostess and I suspect owner smiled and took our cocktail order and showed us to the picturesque garden to wait until our 845 table was ready. We delighted in the creative cocktails - my friend had ordered a Mrs H. The owner came to seat us with a twinkle in her eye as she said said Mrs H was dining with them this evening and took my friend to say hello. Mrs H is the wife of the late lieutenant governor Hager to Virginia. Such a homey atmosphere at an elite establishment that clearly tempts celebrities and politicians. We heard it's one of Obama's favorites. We also saw a couple other famous people while there. However I recommend you come for the food and enjoy the star gazing as icing. I had the halloumi appetizer - incredibly tasty. Then I had the gorgeous scallops which were perfectly accompanied with delicious sides. We shared a dessert too. It wasn't cheap but I'd return. When you eat out you want to taste flavors you can't replicate at home.

Yelp
If you can get a reservation here, please do! The restaurant is not easy to get to, but it's worth it. We stayed in Edgartown, and used Uber. The bus is an option from Edgartown but you need to plan 90 min to get here since a route change is required. The building and grounds are incredible. Everywhere is a photo op. We had an early reservation for 2 in late June. Our service was top notch; very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. He made good recommendations and we enjoyed what we had: the beet salad, chowder, scallops, asparagus side, and chocolate truffle dessert. I also ordered the blood orange mock-tail, and it was terrific. Probably the standout menu item was the beet salad which was perfectly dressed and with a different creamy dressing underneath the salad on the plate. I felt like the chowder could have used a few pieces of seafood in it but it was very flavorful nonetheless. The scallops were cooked perfectly and so was the asparagus. The chocolate dessert needed something creamy with it so our server brought me some ice cream. They definitely want you to have a great experience.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
100% awesome. Lively, thoughtful and delicious. I had one entree (duck leg confit) which was amazing, tender and flavorful and just had to try another dish. Eggplant with lamb had flavors of Morocco with an island touch. Nice wine list with no conventional grocery store crap. Great experience, lovely staff and delicious food
google avatar

E.T. P.

Yelp
Excellent food matched with excellent service. Taryn was the best server we experienced during our time on MV. She was attentive, prompt and offered valuable suggestions. Perhaps a little more lighting in the dining room; but I wouldn't let that stop me from returning.
google avatar

Walter W.

Yelp
Love this place, we go back again year after year and it never fails. Try the halibut if it's in season. Also take some of their homemade chocolate home... Amazing always nice staff, *Delicious* food, and understated classy fireside ambience. Expensive like all restaurants on Martha's Vineyard but in this case it is as good as a very decent New York restaurant

Bill S.

Yelp
Food is meh, service has an attitude like you are doing them a favor. The ambiance is Vineyard cool.
google avatar

Funglin W.

Yelp
SO GOOD my husband and I came twice during our 3-day stay at Martha's Vineyard. If you are visiting MV and been searching for restaurants to try, this one is a MUST add to your list. Although this restaurant isn't the most convenient location for tourists, it is 100% worth the drive (and everything in MV is only ~30mins drive). We ordered our meal in advance (during the pandemic) and decided to eat at their outdoor garden which is gorgeous at night. Not only are the staff personable, welcome, nice, and efficient, but the food is spectacular. We didn't order any dishes there that we disliked and will be coming back here in the future when we visit MV again. Here were a list of dishes we ordered from State Road Restaurant that I'd highly recommend: Garden Garganelli Pasta Bolognese Pasta Brussel sprouts side Rosemary garlic fries
google avatar

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Food and service are really wonderful. We had summer salad, watermelon salad (my favorite dish of the night,) salt cod fritters, the chicken, and steak. Unfortunately the dining room is unbearably loud for me. It was very hard to enjoy my meal and my company with the sheer volume of the voices in the space. When we go next time, I will try the side dining room.
google avatar

S B.

Yelp
As close to perfection as a restaurant can be. Service was impeccable. We had fish, chicken and beef and all were amazing. The donuts are a must have for dessert.
google avatar

Caryn J.

Yelp
Although they serve some of the best food on the island, it is so dark inside you cannot see what you are eating! There is only candle light and when people use their phone flashlights to read the menu it interferes with the ambiance. So in summary, great food, great service, poor environment.

Donna D.

Yelp
The food was excellent! I have had scallops before but never prepared in delicious broth that you wish you had a spoon to finish. The chowder was so good! The unusual recipe is amazing. You do not want to miss it. Also the Haloumi appetizer was great! It has hummus, apples, cilantro and the cheese was seared perfectly with a great golden crust! The dessert was also a great finish to the evening. You have to try the Affogato! Ice cream topped with espresso! 10/10!

Yelp
We went to State Road during our week on the Vineyard for a date night out. It did not disappoint. The ambiance was lovely and the food was delicious. As someone with a gluten allergy I appreciated that the server was very knowledgeable about which menu items were gluten free or could be prepared gluten free. The highlight of the meal was actually the clam chowder which was the best I've ever had in my life. Check this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently excellent service and food. The atmosphere is inviting and the host/owner is warm and gracious. Our favorite restaurant on the Vineyard

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my fiance's birthday and had a wonderful experience. We started off with the Biscuits & Bone Marrow and the Brussels Sprouts. We're huge fans of bone marrow and this was probably the best we've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and piping hot. The biscuits were lovely and the jam was a perfect complement to the rich, buttery marrow. The brussels sprouts were also amazing - who knew they pair so well with pomegranate seeds? For our entrees, we ordered the Orecchiette and Dry Aged Steak. Both were phenomenal. Perfectly salted and none of the flavors were competing with each other - I've never had so much going on, but be perfectly balanced at the same time. Even though we were stuffed, we ordered the Coffee & Donuts to top off the meal. They were decent, but I'd probably go with something else the next time around. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Can't wait to come back.

Jay M.

Yelp
We had an excellent quiet dinner there in early June. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. I had the swordfish entree which was perfectly cooked in a mild Spicy sauce.
google avatar

Damien S.

Yelp
Ignore the fact that State Road grows a significant amount of its produce and herbage in its backyard garden. Ignore the interior; vaulted ceilings, the warmth and fiery hearth of a cottage in the copse. Ignore the house-made, rosemary roused ricotta ($15). And the crisp, delicate zucchini fritters with harissa yogurt ($14). And the fresh baked bread basket ($Free.99). Ignore the Local 688, a Thai chili/lemongrass champagne cocktail that seems sweet and delicate, until you wake up in Charlie Sheen's limo with three bags of cornmeal and a dead llama. Ignore the duck breast, the monkfish and the bright, decadent corn maque choux under local swordfish. Ignore it all. Just don't miss those green curry mussels. I would eat them by the truckload. And by would, I mean did.

Yelp
Knocking down a star based on a recent visit. With these prices and this pedigree, you'd expect excellence, but that's not what we got. My husband ordered his steak medium rare, and it came almost well-done (pretty big difference). They refired another one for him, but the rest of us were already done with our entrees by the time it came, and it ended up being way more on the rare side than he wanted, but he ate it anyway so we could just get out of there. (And they didn't take anything off the bill to compensate, which is not good customer service IMO... at least offer a free glass of wine or something.) My own halibut was perfectly cooked and paired with uber-fresh peas, but the dish was really bland and blah, in some sort of watery broth that would have been made better by just a bit of butter or shallots or citrus or *some*thing. And at the end, my dessert wine never came, until I prompted the waiter about it. Like night and day between my two experiences here, so the truth is probably somewhere in between.

Yelp
On verge of 4/5 stars so I'll go ahead and give it 5. It's casual luxury, not your typical formal five star experience however. Everything was flawless. Menu items varied, interesting and fresh and wine list stellar. The food portions were quite large, which was a nice surprise. Menu changes nightly so it makes no sense to detail what we ate. Sinskey organic pinot noir a fabulous wine choice. I've started to see this on several menus lately, which is great. Very pleased with the experience. Very pleased.

Yelp
Hands down the best meal we had on the island. I could take a bath in the Ricotta cheese appetizer. The Ricotta was creamy and perfect, served with a warm crusty bread - 10 out of 10. The service is fantastic and the food is delightful. The restaurant is on the outskirts a bit and away from the usual town atmosphere. Definitely add this establishment to the list of places to visit! Make a reservation and enjoy an amazing dining experience.
