We decided to take in a showing of Leonid and Friends at the State Theatre in Modesto (if you've not heard of Leonid and Friends, they are a Russian musical group who primarily plays covers of the band Chicago but also performs some EW&F tunes). It was a long drive for us but well worth it.
The theater is in downtown Modesto and holds about 550 guests in the main section. In addition to the regular seating, there are open areas for those with disabilities.
The theater had good acoustics and the seats were comfortable. In the foyer, the theater sold candy, popcorn, drinks and adult beverages. Restrooms were clean and the foyer was decorated for Christmas.
I liked the feel of the theater. It reminded of my younger days, attending our local theater for concerts, movies, and other shows.
My wife and I had a great time and really enjoyed the show and the theater.
