My personal favorite coffee shop in Abilene. They may only be a drive through, but their coffee is absolutely delicious. They don't have much of a selection on food, but what they do have is decent. The service is always fast and they are always friendly. Best on the go coffee shop in Abilene!

I absolutely loved this coffee shop. Outdoor patio seating only at this location. The patio was clean and inviting. The Dirty Chai Carmel Thing and Peppermint Nana were awesome. I was not a big fan of the white chocolate mocha. The medicine ball tea was perfect. Warm fresh out of the oven blueberry scones were delicious. Michaela took our order and was super friendly and patient with the many questions I had. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect she even made my baby a treat. Shout out to the entire staff. We were given stickers of the month and they have awesome merchandise. Did I Mention the convenience of the drive thru.

This is my go2 place for coffee. Great variety to choose from and if you choose to customize your drinks thier app is easy to use to do so. Having them bring the drinks out you is the icing in the cake. Just call them while you are in the parking lot to tell them you are there. Viola. Drink in hand and you're on your way! Oh! And their scones are the best I've had.

I visited this location 3 times this week, and each time was great! The service is phenomenal! They are kind, competent, and obviously well-trained. It's rare to see that kind of consistency anywhere anymore.

I had a wonderful experience at Statesman Coffee! I went through the drive-thru and ordered a custom caramel latte (wish I could remember the name!)—it was absolutely delicious. The coffee was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable. The staff was friendly, and since they weren’t busy, my order was ready in no time. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend this spot for great coffee and great service.

I do not drink coffee that often but I recently found that they make Bulletproof coffee and it is delicious! But it’s not just the coffee that I love about this place. Literally the nicest people, easiest way to get coffee on the go and well worth the price. I would spend all of my money here rather than Starbucks any day. Can’t wait to try more from them!!

The coffee was good for a drive-through. Patio seating is a nice touch. The walk-up window is difficult to find. I included a video here so you can see how to access it. It should have better signage to the window. It feels like you're trying to sneak in through the back door. Also, the alcove tends to catch everything that the wind blows in. The barista could do a better job keeping the walk-up area clean.

Passing through on a road trip and enjoyed our coffee from here! We ordered the Caramel Thing and the Almond Delight and they were great! Highly recommend!

Every time I come here the coffee warms my soul. I've never had a bad experience in the two years I've been a customer. Their coffee is delicious and I always look forward to their new seasonal flavors as well. I don't know how many times I'm allowed to write a review but it would forever be 5*. P.S. Get the s'mores hot latte. If you were having a bad day you won't be afterwards.

Statesman Coffee is always my go to coffee place in Abilene. They have the friendliest staff that will actually carry on a conversation with you at the window. They remember frequent customer orders and names, making the experience even more personable. The coffee is always spot on and delicious.

Here's a coffee roaster that doesn't leave us caffeine sensitive coffee lovers out of flavor. Their Drifter Decaf is awesome--a chocolate-y medium roast AND when I placed a large order of it to take home with me to CA, they specifically roasted some to meet the order. the service. The drive through at Buffalo Gap has super friendly staff and delicious frappes ready for the hot weather streak Abilene has been having. I'm glad my Air Force son lives near them.

Great coffee. New to the area and really wanted this to be my coffee stop every day. But after a few weeks of trying to find the right time to go, it's clear they are just slow. Expect to wait about 25 minutes for your coffee in the morning. Listen to the order read back at the window, because it's usually wrong. And when you get up to the window they usually begin making your drink then.

I don't know how well you love your coffee as much as I do. However a recent transaction caused me to go somewhere else. I switched from Starbucks to The Statesman's to support local hardworking businesses. An associate at the Buffalo Gap location stated they could not find my gift card and I know I have a balance on the card. The associate stated "I will get with my manager to address this issue." I received a txt message to respond to this issue on the website and I have. I don't know about you all but I value customer service. Since I have not received a proper response back from the "manager" my business will support others who value my business and customer service.

While passing through Abilene, we needed our morning coffee. Literally drove by Big Country and whipped the car in. Quick ordering and drive thru lines! It's fall and I'm basic so I got the Jack O' Latte with soy milk. I think it's one of the best pumpkin drinks I have ever had- and I've had my fair share. Nice and frothy and not too sweet. The other coffee was standard, but did the trick. Stop by and support this coffee shop doing the good work!

I want to like them so bad! Great baristas, they're super friendly & nice. The drinks look & sound amazing!! But...they taste horrible whyyyy? How???! The one off BG is fairly watery & weak flavor. The one on the South end was nice & strong, lots of flavor, but just didn't seem like the flavors went together. I've tried 2-3 drinks both times I've gone. I'll try one more time...

Best HOT coffee with several sugar free flavors to choice from and the iced coffee is also great. Customer service if wonderful and speedy. You probably will have to get in a long line but they are quick at getting the orders out. Well worth spending a little time in line.

I live in Abilene for few yrs now & Big Country have been my favorite place to get coffee. My favorite is the iced white chocolate mocha. Pretty good! The staff are always friendly as well. In a good location/Buffalo Gap.

Staff is amazing and coffee is always on point! Love the mobile app so I can order ahead of time and coffee is ready by the time I get there.

I would like to start off by saying this is my favorite coffee shop in Abilene and normally they give me the best service which is why I'm still rating it 5 stars. HOWEVER, the service I experienced today was not up to par. The girl took my order down wrong and when I told her she rolled her eyes because she had to re-ring it in. I did ask for an extra shot of espresso and it definitely doesn't have an extra shot in it. I hope they used almond milk but I guess I'll found out for sure here in about 30 min/1 hour. I cant complain too much because I did use my free punch but I'm a little annoyed with the eye roll I received. Even though my most recent experience was not the best I will still continue to be a customer and enjoy their amazing coffee!

I live in Dallas and I've passed by Big Country several times while on work trips in Abilene and finally stopped by a few months ago. Wow! Their cold brew is awesome! I plan to try the nitro cold brew just for fun next time. The staff was kind, courteous, patient with this noob, and what a comprehensive list of drinks they have. Thanks for the great coffee and for staying very reasonably priced. I won't hesitate to come back next time I'm in town.

There were 6 of us in our vehicle. They got our order correct and our coffees and smoothies tasted great. The service was friendly and fast.

Drive up lane to order your coffee can be missed if you aren't looking for it. It's off to the side not next to the building. Has almond and oat milk available. Had their witches brew - good coffee with more syrup than I expected. A bit expensive.

We were in Texas for a family wedding and needed a quick coffee stop and Big Country Coffee hit the spot! We ordered lattes one day, lattes and specialty drinks another day. All were very well made. We also purchased some grounds to go back home with us. They have a rewards program but we did not sign up since we're out-of-towners. Definitely would if we lived close! Will visit Big Country Coffee again when in Texas! Thanks y'all!

I've probably had 30 coffee drinks here and it is consistently very good. Every once in a while there's a miss, but 80-85% of the time they're on point.

The almond joy latte is my favorite! Great tasting coffee and I love collecting the monthly stickers!

LOVE this coffee shop! Very cute location with adorable outdoor seating (no indoor seating). Extensive drink menu of both cold and hot. I got the spiced chai with skim milk (love that you can customize your milk for this drink, comes premade at Dunkin Donuts where I am from). My mom got the house roast... Both were very good! Once again, true to Abilene, friendly staff and good prices! Will be back :-) !

Tried this shop driving to fort worth, it was Good.. a little expensive for what you get... Coffee was weaker than I'm used to. The flavors are syrup based... And they are heavy on the syrup

Expresso based drinks lacks flavor. Also, the blended expresso ice drinks use a weak, flavorless 'premix', instead of making it the right way-FRESH! NEVER make expresso based drinks with 'premix'. This is the last resort coffee cafe in Abilene. Recommend Monks Coffee downtown for the BEST Coffee in Abilene. They make their expresso drinks FRESH, and powerful/balanced flavor!

Seriously nice people. Seriously good coffee. I think I found my new coffee home. So after I mentioned that I prefer sugar free chai lattes, then found them online and ordered them for me. Like seriously who does that? Big country coffee that's who.

This place is a guilty pleasure of mine. While they have very good coffee, it's their speciality lattes that I'm addicted to. In particular, I love the Snickers latte, which is a combination of chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. And although I try to avoid sugar, every once in a while I need this treat. The fact that they have a drive-through is wonderfully convenient and I've never had to wait long for an order--even when ordering several drinks. The staff are always very polite and courteous. There are often food trucks parked in the parking lot, but I've yet to try any of those--though I am aware that would be a separate review! It's a very small coffee shop, and the saying is right up against the parking lot and drive-through, so driving through is probably your best bet.

My drink always tastes different each time I order it. Trust me, I love the convenience of the drive thru coffee, I love the rewards program, and I love how friendly the workers are. I just can't understand why my drink tastes different every time I get it. Plus one time my scone was raw almost all the way through... other than that the pasteries have always been great!

A bit pricier than I'd like, but the coffee is good and the klobasnik's are great! I'd choose this over Starbuck's any day. Personally, I like how many flavors they offer for the lattes. Service is always fast so that's a major plus.

This is the best coffee in town. Don't even waste your time and money at Starbucks. I've officially stopped drinking Starbucks because the drinks at Big Country are so good! Your also supporting local business which is always a good thing! Try the Almond Joy and chocolate chip scone. You won't regret it!

Starbucks lost a customer today. Yes, it was that good. We did the drive-thru. I ordered the caramel latte, iced. Delicious and you could actually taste the coffee. I've been a dedicated starbucks customer for about two years and this was worlds above the iced caramel macchiato. Will definitely swing back to give it another try and order something else off the menu. Just wonderful.

The outdoor patio was beautiful in the early morning light. My iced latte had a great flavor too!

Pretty high rating for a drive thru only place. Great customer service here though and nice facility overall. Having Americano and is just right with my usual honey added.

Actually, this review is for the truck. Everything you could possibly want on wheels and on location. The menu is huge, and I needed a warm cup of Joe at Food Truck Tuesday. Staff is friendly, but service can be a little slow when there is a line. And of course, there was a line. But that's ok, I got my Joe! See you next time!

So, I woke up this morning with a hankering for a danish, a kolache and an iced coffee. Long story short, I stumbled across this establishment that i had assumed could cater to my very specific requests. I walked up to the counter and the attendant was very cheerful and nice as i ordered a cheese danish, a strawberry and cheese danish, a pimento and bbq brisket kolache and an iced mocha frappe. My total was in the neighborhood of $16. I waited a quick 5 minutes for my order to arrive and upon arrival i was immediately underwhelmed. The cheese and strawberry danish were good, not $4 each good. Soggy loafs of hollowed out puff pastry filled with jam and cream cheese, freshly microwaved that morning! But the pimento and bbq brisket kolache... it tasted way better than it looked. Again, freshly microwaved and resembling a newborn Benjamin Button. It had a good combination of flavors that almost saved breakfast... But sadly, the coup de gras was the appearance of the mocha frappe. It looked like something i could have just as easily made from yesterdays old coffee in a blender with ice. It was very "plain" for the $5.30 pricetag. Ultimately and very sadly, i think the only way id patron this local establishment again is by accident.

Preferable to Starbucks if you want my two cents. They have a lot of "guchi" coffee that my mom likes.

I wish that they would have a regular coffee everyday that didn't have to taste like cinnamon or vanilla or nutmeg. A coffee flavored coffee! I ordered a $5 kobasnek with brisket and it was a mushy, tiny, gooey mess. Complete rip off. If you are going to serve reheated baked goods invest in a high speed convection oven to warm them in, and tell your supplier to make something large enough for breakfast.

Sent a friend visiting Abilene to Big Country. The shop was closed when she got there because of bad weather. Due to be at a trade show that wasn't delaying anything, she was headed into a cold convention center without coffee. Then the owner of Big Country saved the day. Opened the door, gave her an almond milk latte to warm up and shared a friendly conversation about Colorado (where friend is from) and growing up in Abilene. Good coffee and a friendly vibe to start a cold day.

Considering the fact that I woke up at 6:15 to drive across town for a cup of coffee, means it's pretty dang good. Obsessed with the mint mocha. Mint+chocolate+coffee=the perfect mix. I highly recommend it!
