Stax Omega Diner

The wife and I came with some friends the other day . We almost didn't go because it was graduation, and it was a 45-minute wait but they were able to squeeze Us in in less than 15 minutes because we were such a small party. The service was quick and enjoyable. The wife got the spicy chorizo breakfast bowl, she said it was a great blend of flavor and cooked amazingly. I got the bayou skillet and I feel very similar to the wife, it was a great blend of flavors and cooked amazingly. We would definitely come back here again. Next time we are trying desserts, they looked absolutely amazing but we were on a time schedule.

Great service! None one remembered her name but she had neck/ear tattoos! She was bubbly and took some photos for us! The menu is aggressively large! Majority of it seems to be for dinner. More weird the breakfast items were at the back of the menu. Just very strange, only a few items per page. It was overwhelming by the amount of pages and two other menus we got. We all enjoyed the food though. Not enough to come back, lol it wasn’t life changing - but it was in fact very yummy! The water tasted good too, no chlorinated trash.

I love staxs we come here almost every weekend. I’ll start with our server was so nice today . Never have had an issue until today. I ordered chicken tenders which I always do and they were thin and barely any chicken. I asked if they could bring me a couple new tenders. The manager was very rude and came out and said these are done by weight so I just can’t get you one chicken tender but I can get you something else. I didn’t want anything else except the chicken tenders. I just feel like the manager could’ve been a little less rude.

The food is AWESOME! The service is EXCELLENT! There were 19 of us (16 students and 3 adults) and our server, Joy was exceptionally efficient and pleasant. We were seated promptly and served just as quickly. Definitely worth a revisit.

My waitress Lauren was amazing she had the perfect combination of hospitality and speed while being slammed. I traveled all day driving & dinner tonight was the first thing I ate all day. She helped me choose the chicken souvlaki, which was perfect. Big portion to fill me up while not making me fall asleep for the rest of my drive!

Was a great experience for our family! I had the bacon gouda burger, daughter had the French toast which was amazing, son had the biggest waffle i think I've ever seen and it was done perfectly and not dry at all. My wife had the club sandwich and was very pleased and the portion sizes were big. And we took dessert home and all of them were amazing. Definitely go check this place out!

Food & Service are always great. We like to stop here when we are in the area, and I've done so for almost 40 years. A no-so-hidden gem in Greenville. Understated sophistication. The menu is massive and the desserts are excellent. I always feel like we're having fine dining, but it's just great Southern Hospitality at its best.

The food was not bad. I loved their hot chocolate, pancakes, and croissant sandwich. The only thing I see could have been better was the steak, grits, and their biscuit. The biscuit was a bit salty, and the steak could have been more flavorful as well as the grits. The customer service offered by Kate was on point. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit here.

Great food and service. It has a modern diner feel. But also feel a little more upscale for a dinner experience.

Most diners tend to go for variety over quality, but Stax Omega manages to sweep both up in their dishes. The menu has everything from Greek entrees like the gyro platter (with just-crisp pita and plenty of meat and salad) to omelettes and two pages of breakfast that I'd be willing to have anytime to a meat-and-three offered during the weekdays. The layout of the place is a bit confusing, but Stax has been around long enough that it's to be expected. At the least, your server will know how to get you where you're going in one of the dining rooms past the two (!) bars. I highly recommend checking in online before you come. It'll save you plenty of waiting around before your party is called.

Good food good service, very large menu to choose from. They give you this bread with olive oil and seasoning to start and it's delicious. We were fourth in line for a table when we arrived but sat in less than 10 minutes

Popped in for an early breakfast and would definitely be back! Food came out fast and fresh. The French toast was a lot bigger than expected, the potatoes and homemade ranch were *chefs kiss*. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, bacon extra crispy. While I wish the server was a little more knowledgeable about the menu rather than just saying "everything is good" without really recommending anything for a first timer, she was prompt with service and friendly. The dinner itself was clean, cozy, and larger than expected. I'm sure it gets pretty busy in there. While breakfast was good, I can only imagine lunch and dinner and can't wait to come back.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner? Who could ask for more. The here is a HUGE menu that you will have to come by multiple times. There is a very variety of foods which brings in a variety of people. I got the marry me chicken and the chicken was delicious. As far as the vegetables some were too hard for me. The mahi fish was delicious. My favorite though was the little cheese pastries with a phyllo dough. It would be amazing with a dip of some sort but OMG they are flakey, filling and delicious. Add a little more seasoning as well too. Don't forget to grab dessert before you leave it. The service is great. The speed is great. Honestly the staff are mostly friendly. The waitresses are the best, be sure to bring the whole family there is plenty of space in the building. I did a reservation online for 8 on a Sunday and was able to get in within 30 minutes from the time of reservation

Great food, excellent service. I can't seem to order anything but the Turkey and dressing plate as it is so tasty. The desserts should not be missed also.

Absolutely Amazing food. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Great service, just make sure to get on the waitlist before you arrive. But, if you don't. It's still worth the wait.

My dish was delicious!The chicken was seasoned well and juicy. The vegetables and potatoes were cooked perfectly. Not too soft. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. We were seated pretty quickly considering how busy that they were on a Saturday. The ambiance in the restaurant was good. The noise level was good. I always gauge weather or not we can have a conversation without having to raise our voice. We didn't have to raise our voice. We were a bit cold so I would say bring a jacket if you tend to be cold natured. I would return if in the area again as they have an extensive menu.

Very crowded. 30 minute wait after church. You can join the wait list with the Yelp app, which I would suggest. Food is still very good and the menu is enormous so there is something that everyone will enjoy. The wait staff is very attentive and the drinks are consistently refilled. Stax's is a very clean and orderly with spacious sitting. It's a great place when you have a group that wants a lot of choices Desserts are wonderful and delicious. Save space for them. Overall a great location for any meal. My main advice is to use the Yelp app to get in the virtual line and you will have a wonderful experience.

Full coffee bar - tea and mimosas of your choice ! WIN Our avocado toast was the bomb.com - generous potion of avocado - arugula- balsamic vinegar drizzle with 2 eggs cooked perfectly over medium and fruit or another side of choice - hubby opted for fried potatoes and they were crisp and well seasoned! Our waitress was a lil quiet and lacked personality lol but her service was good! It's a huge place with TV's everywhere and a bar - plenty of parking too in a lil strip shopping center or plaza!

Classic diner with all the fixings. Wonderful service and all in all good quality food.

My fav brunch place in town!!! I live out of state now but I always make it a point to stop here when I'm back visiting! Delish!

$35 for steak and eggs and one piece when steak had %25 fat is not worth it !!! I'll go somewhere else next time I visit

Delicious food and a strong southern feel. I love a menu with lots of options and Stax has that in spades. I ordered the roasted chicken and it was sautéed to perfection. The veggies were plentiful and not too crisp. My guy got breakfast foods of French toast and eggs. Service was good and they were very very busy. It was a mixed crowd of old and young, with many families. Don't come for the quiet. Lots of dessert options too.

Went last night for a wedding party. Everyone was very impressed with the service. We had about 40 people but they were prepared for us and it didn't even take that long. All the food also came out at the same time so everyone could eat at the same time. I got the French toast and was worried about it filling me up but it was great and a large portion. Great service and great food. Deserves a 4.5.

We came in for breakfast when visiting Greenville and it was packed full of hungry people, which is always a good indication of good food! This is a typical , cafe style breakfast spot that has friendly southern hospitality and great service. I ordered the Chorizo and egg plate and it was so tasty, spicy and filling! I ordered a latte that was just as good.Great place for breakfast!

Honestly good food worth the wait. I would only say the French toast seemed a little soggy but it had good flavor. Loved the biscuits and gravy. Friendly staff, join the waitlist so you're not waiting too long.

Always busy. But I've never been anywhere that moves people in and out with such efficiency. And food is great to boot. Never had any issue with any server. And even tho the place is always busy when we are there the overall ambiance is great.

Food very good but pricier than other dinners. Did take out last time I was pleased that my food was ready in good time.

First time patron, today. Food and service was horrid, Chard potatoes and running egg whites. I asked for them to be overly cooked and came back mushy. I have to say, First Watch is better.

I'm so glad we chose to have breakfast (and early lunch) here with family. It was a first visit for all of us. First, it was so cool to get on the wait list from the Yelp app, so we didn't have much of a wait by the time we parked. Secondly, the cushioned seating was comfortable and seemed to absorb a lot of the noise. The dining areas were jam packed, but the noise level was surprisingly bearable. Last, the menu was lengthy and a bit busy, but it was a pleasant surprise for everyone to order exactly what they wanted. I had one of the best omelettes ever. Mushroom, asparagus, onion, Kalamata olives and feta. Yum! My SIL had a French dip, DIL had blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and potatoes. My husband had a Monte Cristo sandwich. Everything was delicious! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and had perfect timing, even as he juggled numerous tables. We'll definitely return on our next trip to the area.

Wait staff and food was great BUT hostess and cashier were rude and acted like it was a bother to help us to sit and check out. They were standing around talking and became annoyed when asked for help. Was there 1/1/25. Very disappointed because this is the first time I've seen this and been going for years.

Excellent service and food. Our server is Courtney. Very attentive to detail and service. We enjoyed our first time visit here at Stax. The menu is extensive which makes you want to try everything! Amazingly good Greek diner. Excellent selection and cooked to perfection. We love Chandler. Try the Greek Gyro platter. Or a Greek salad with salmon. The desserts are to die for. The coffee bar is our favorite place to sit. we go here every Sunday after church and love it. An absolute gem of a restaurant.

The breakfast was amazing! Would definitely go back. My husband ordered a burger and said it was just average but looks forwards to trying one of the breakfast options when we go back.

Best diner I've found in Greenville... if you know another one let me know... I'll probably still go here.. Why would I change? This place is great! It's got something for everybody. I recommend you start in January and work your way through the menu.. if you go everyday you might be getting back to me in June or July when you've finally tried everything. Enjoy!

I put my name on the list for a table for one hoping for a nice relaxed lunch. First I tried to order just the veggie of the day (crispy broccoli) instead of mixed vegetables because I'm allergic to bell peppers. waitress said "no, all of those dishes come as they are listed. no substitutions. Then I asked for just the crispy broccoli and a side of black eyed peas with an appetizer. no. black eyed peas can only be served with the meal they are listed with. no longer relaxed. no longer felt welcomed. felt embarrassed. so I left and will likely not go back. I wasn't looking for a giant meal with leftovers. just trying to have a break.

Positive feedback: Their apple caramel French toast is absolute perfection! It's delicious and fulfilling! Expect left overs! Yum! Negative feedback: The parking is horrible during their peak hours! The interior design inside, is embarrassingly outdated and desperately needs an upgrade. The booth table's length is awkwardly large; its as if the Covid time "Six feet" apart rule, applies for those seats. Helpful feedback: You pay upfront.

First time here! Loved the food and service! The yelp waiting list is very helpful to have! The decor is great for a diner that seems to be the best in the area! Will be coming back for more!

I'm a NY Greek who was just passing through. I grew up in New York diners, and this was, BY FAR, the best breakfast I've ever had in a diner. The omlete was fluffy with an abundance of filling. I tell everyone about my experience and my idea that they must soak their hashbrown potatoes in garlic water because the flavor was incredible. The pancakes and grits were cooked perfectly. My visit was around the holidays, so a three piece band playing holiday songs when you entered the diner was such a treat. I don't want to forget to mention my waiter. He was excellent, a young transplant from Rhode Island.

Our new favorite brunch spot. My kids love their s'more pancakes. Every dish that I have tried for both brunch and lunch were great. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed. Their cakes are to die for. My favorite is the red velvet. I always order a slice to go. Great service every time. Make sure to join the waitlist on yelp especially on a Sunday to avoid long waits.

Came to Greenville to spend Thanksgiving with my son and he brought us to Stax Omega. The food was amazing! Our waitress was really nice and the customer service was good. Everyone was very polite. The ambience was very inviting and we will be back.

Food was delicious! We had a breakfast and dinner meal served simultaneously. Both were delicious! The service was especially good. He was knowledgable and helpful to my "never make up his mind" husband. He also had a real sense of fun. Rapid service.

The food is good and the staff is nice, the atmosphere is light and well maintained. I would go more often if the prices weren't so high. I am a senior and on a fixed income now so I can no longer afford to go there. I will miss it for sure!!

First, let me say, I'm a HUGE fan of diner's. When I travel, I seek them out. Looked up recommendation when I arrived in Greenville SC, and most pointed to Stax Omega. There were a few mixed reviews recently, but hey, you can't please everybody, However, this guy was more than pleased. I loved the whole vibe about the place. Very "diner" like. The hostess kind of remined me of Flo. If you're in my demo you get it. A little brass, but likeable. My server was so sweet and very nice. Unfortunately my brain is limited, so I don't remember her name. The food, I created an omelette. Sausage, bacon, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Added a side of sliced tomatoes and cheese grits. All were quite delicious. Serving size was humongous. I rarely leave anything behind, but I couldn't finish it. Price was very reasonable. Definitely a "repeat offender". I will be back.

Was torn to give 4 or 5 stars, but rounded up this time because I ate here twice in 3 days with great results. As with most diners, this place has a huge menu, so kinda overwhelming to place an order. In addition to their normal menu, they had 2 other menus with breakfast specials. Ordered the Colorado omelette one day with a side of potatoes and biscuit; the next time I got the spicy chorizo bowl with a biscuit. Man, those biscuits!!! That's what made me come back; so buttery, soft, and good. I preferred the Colorado omelette (bacon, spinach, peppers, onion, cheese) over the chorizo bowl (cheese, avocado, potatoes), but not by much. Potatoes were good too, but next time I'll sub them for another biscuit. By far, one of the best biscuits I've ever had, and look forward to coming back.

Found this tucked away and was glad I did. Very clean, ambiance good. Little pricey however serving potions are pretty big! Good was delicious-no complaints there at all! Breakfast served all day and the menu has something for everyone! I took a cannoli home and was glad I did-it was almost a dinner in itself! And was it the best ever!! Yumm! I'll be back!

I am blown away by the service and the food. I was on a work trip and this was walking distance to the hotel I was in. I had gumbo to start, they dropped off this AMZING garlicky bread. I could have eaten 4 slices of that and skipped the meal it was so good. I opted for the Milanese special. It was hand breaded, tender, moist. I struggled to eat the shells which were very delicious but I was so full. Great portions, service on point. I never had to ask for anything

Best. Diner. Ever. The service has always been on point. The food is delicious. Best omelette I've ever tasted. It's magical. I love the pancakes and the Crema espresso. Even the lunch menu is delicious. It's busy but always worth it. The environment is nice. I love the fish tanks!

I went here for breakfast either my with family a few days before Christmas. Our group was not disappointed. We received great food, excellent service, and friendly staff.

Great place to meet family/friends/business associates. The menu is expensive in all the best ways. Service is always friendly and always quick. The kitchen runs like a well oiled machine. It's fascinating to watch them work. The ambiance is very cozy with upscale elements. Dessert is always a treat, if you save room. Stax Bakery is located next door, and the cake cases stay stocked within the restaurant. Gorgeous glorious cakes. My favorite meal is breakfast, and boy do they have a great selection of brunch options. This is a staple for the community. I can't count the times I've been, but ai can say each visit has been special. You will not be disappointed.
