What a amazing takeaway. The chicken wings and tenders are so good and I highly recommend the philly steak baguette. Staff are so friendly also. My daughter loves the milkshakes. I will definitely return but I suggest you go check it out for yourself. 10/10

Burgers were excellent. Freshly made. 2 smash patties, bacon, cheese, onions and pickles. The chips were delicious; sea salt, peri-peri, and rosemary. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside and the sauce was delicious. Staff were friendly. Food was cooked quickly. Price was very reasonable 👍

I’ve lived in hertford all of my life, and never get take away burgers because they are always a let down…until now! What a little gem of a shop. Apparently it’s been in Ware for 4yrs and I had no idea. The food was all cooked fresh/to order and with love. The rosemary chips were just crispy, fluffy perfection. The burger was succulent with lovely fresh tom, lettuce, gherkin and onion. Topped off with melted cheese and burger sause. Blows five guys out of the water! And so fairly priced. Just £10 for a burger, chips AND drink. I am soooo fussy with food and trust me. This place is just amazing. Support our local businesses guys. These people deserve it

Update: The manager contacted me to discuss what had happened. He understood my reaction and situation. He appologised in depth and expressed his regret for this incident. He went above and beyond and I'm immensely grateful for that. I will definitely be a returning customer. The food was insane. Mouthwatering explosion of flavor and great to have after drinking. I ordered on JustEat, and the app told me the couriers/drivers were private to the venue, and may not get my delivery instructions. I then called Stax's directly to give my delivery instructions to them along with the information JustEat had given me, the driver was then beyond incompetent with the instructions. The driver acted and delivered my order in a less effective way than JustEat had even memtioned. He acted in such a way, and possessed the most (un)common sense of this day and age people have, whilst arriving at my addres than a human can have. The driver did understand my reaction and emotion, as he was then beyond apologetic when I mentioned all facts. However, this does not change the situation I was in or that he'd caused with his incompetence. I hate giving reviews that are less than 3 stars (at least), but cannot stress enough the level of outrage and discomfort he and Stax's caused. I am incredibly sorry for this review, but I needed to make sure you are aware of the situation and try to improve the above issues in order to prevent any further reviews such as mine.

Smash burger was very tasty, chips were hot and crispy. Sauce was delicious Service was great, served me after the door had been closed. Really attentive.

I decided to go for a smash burger. Everything was freshly cooked and the caramelised onions make the burger extra tasty. Will definitely return. Staff are very friendly also.

First time using Stax's after a late train. Fabulous burgers & fries. We had 2 Texas and 1 Stax gourmet burgers and they were totally yummy. Thank you
