Steak 44

This was my first time dining with steak 44. We went there to celebrate my birthday. In my many years, I've been to a significant amount of fine dining locations. However, this experience exceeded all my expectations and beyond. They took Service to a new level in the ambience and decor was absolutely on point. While, the prices are very expensive the quality is phenomenal. They even let me pick out a birthday dessert free and provided a handwritten card which was a really nice touch. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to experience, amazing dining I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my night with my family celebrating 🍾 my graduation. The atmosphere upon walking in was welcomed, respectful and considered. Nick and his tram did a phenomenal job serving us and making us feel welcomed. The food is another thing. We tried the Japan and NY steak and they were both delicious and the mac&cheese was so good forgot to take a Pic. Overall, highly recommend. You want good food. You have to pay for good food and services. Thank you!

Celebrated our birthdays (Best Friends) at Steak 44! They sat us immediately and bought out personalized birthday cards! The food was amazing and the service was absolutely top notch! Our server, Amanda took great care of us. She knew the menu, and made great suggestions! I am visiting from the East Coast, and have eaten at Steak 48 in Philadelphia (which is also amazing). Steak 44’s service was just a little more welcoming and intimate. Will totally be back next time we’re in Arizona. Thanks so much, Amanda!

If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. This place is phenomenal. Our waiter Kevin went above and beyond with outstanding service genuine care and an unforgettable dining experience. The food was incredible. From the seafood tower to the steak corn baked potato and fresh bread every single bite was amazing. I cannot wait to come back. Make sure to take a jacket because it is pretty cool inside.

This place truly deserves five stars. From the moment I arrived until the very end, the service was exceptional. Every detail was attended to with care and genuine hospitality. I never had to ask for a thing. The food was exquisite beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with such elegance. It was a wonderful dining experience that left a lasting impression.

Every time we go here are the service is amazing. No microaggressions just great food an exceptional service. Alex is out guy and he is amazing. Even the manager! You get what you pay for which means you will get damn good fresh food. I do not know much about the parking situation. It does look like a small lot. However, we have a Corvette so we use the valet... The boys in the valet are super sweet.So it's great service from start to finish up

Everything was amazing—from the appetizers to the steak. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and worth every dollar. Steak 44 is next level, highly recommend for any special event or even just a dinner day. 10/10 amazing. Every time they never disappoint.

The steak, medium rare, was cooked to perfection. Almost didn't need a knife to cut it because it was so tender. The crab + shrimp + shell + cheese was excellent. The shells were al dente and the crab and shrimp were plentiful. The sauteed sweet corn was flavorful and crisp. The chicken fried lobster and crispy shrimp were fantastic too. Ended the night with the very chocolate cake and it certainly lived up to its description. So decadent and rich that the serving may be too generous. That wouldn't be a problem had everything else not been so good. Hard not to want to eat every morsel except you needed to be able to walk away at some point. The staff and the ambience made for a very enjoyable experience.

Steak 44 is a must go if you're in Scottsdale! It's the ideal date night, celebration, nice dinner vibes. The service is spectacular & the atmosphere is spot on Their steak is unmatched; the quality, the execution, & the seasoning, all are perfection! Their seafood offerings are excellent as well; I loved the oysters! Don't sleep on their refreshing cocktails either! Everything I had was phenomenal; this is an experience you need to have!

The food was fantastic. Sad I didn't get the Steak but the meatloaf was very tasty. Next time definitely be what I have to eat. Awesome bar area and they have 2 bars available.. definitely needs them for how busy they get. It's quite pricy and a bit crowded ( heard it always is) but definitely worth you try it out.

Of course, Steak 44 lives up to its namesake. The steak here is absolutely unmatched by other local steakhouses, and it's become our go to place when we just need a good filet or strip. We've been here many times, but we thoroughly enjoyed the service we had tonight above the rest. Jamil was an excellent server who kept us entertained while being attentive. His support servers/food runners/etc. were just as great; always making sure our waters were filled and plates were bussed. Great food is always best paired with great service and I am happy to report that is what we received this evening. We've never sat in the back bar, but it may be our new request. While the rest of the restaurant can be a bit noisy, this area has a more laid back atmosphere. We will be back soon enough.

Perfect place for a birthday dinner! We were all dressed up and didn't feel overdressed. We waited a bit to be seated even though we had a reservation. I loved the option of changing the napkins as we were seated. Our table was near the bar and it was extremely loud so we had to contend with that the majority of the night. The waiter was not my favorite. He was very pushy and at times not super professional considering the environment. It was almost aggravating and aggressive at times. The bread was so good! The crispy shrimp was a good portion and tasted great. My steak was made perfectly and tasted amazing. They also brought out a dessert for the birthday girl and sang. Aside from the waiter we really enjoyed our dinner.

So we finally made it to this spot that I have heard so much about . And it happened to be for a celebration of one of my friends birthday. I gotta say they make you feel like a million bucks .. cause I sure don't have that kinda of money to come often . So we came in on Sunday the 13th of this October 2025 . From the beginning the service was excellent. The table and room setting . From ordering and having questions was awesome . The bread at the beginning to the sides we ordered was delicious. Our main course was well cooked . Desert and coffee was the perfect way to top it all off . While all this was happening they make sure they take care or everything around you before you even ask . Can't wait to be able to come again .any one looking for a place to be romantic , spend time to laugh with friends , have serious conversations. All while being attended. You found it

Wow! This recommendation came from my uber driver. I was reluctant at first to check it out because it's pricey but it was perfect. My server was amazing! I'm mad I didn't get her name so I can't properly give her, her flowers here but she was exceptional. Now let's get into the food, the shrimp was seasoned to perfection! And the portions were hefty. I also got the Mac and cheese which is not pictured here, but it was amazing as well. Everything was 10/10. I loved my lemon drop cocktail too, I got a second one because of how good it was. I have to come back to Phoenix just for this restaurant. Definitely the best steakhouse I've ever been too!

It was another lovely evening at Steak 44. We took a friend out for her birthday. The service was excellent as always. Timely and knowledgeable. We got to sit in a smaller private room which was nice for having conversation. My son arrived late just before the kitchen closed and they were very accommodating and quickly got in his order that he was able to eat. I really appreciate it! The steaks were cooked to perfection as always. And the sides were delicious. My friend said she'd come back just to eat potatoes three or four ways. She had a hard time deciding which ones to get from the menu. I always recommend this place when people ask about where to eat steak in town. They just do it the best

Steak 44 is exactly what you want when you're looking for a serious, upscale dinner--it has that super dark, moody vibe that feels instantly special. You can tell they pay attention to the details, like that cool wall of cleavers when you walk in. Since it's part of the Mastro's family, you already know you're going to get a great meal, and this time was no exception; the petite filet was absolutely perfectly cooked. The bread pudding dessert was definitely a major highlight of the entire meal.

I bought a first timer for Steak 44, who LOVES steak and oysters. Plus celebrating his birthday, everyone needs to get spoiled sometimes right? Steak 44 is always busy and popping. He can't stop raving about the service, food, and his first time at Steak 44. First we got 6 Blue Point (East Coast) oysters, 6 West Coast oysters and Braised Pork Belly as appetizers. He got his wine to pair up and I got my Passion Fruit Iced Tea! Fresh bread is always amazing. He could not stop eating it! Then for the main dishes, I got the petite filet mignon and he got one of the specials, a ribeye end cap steak is the "King of ALL Steaks" - fitting for a King! We shared the corn creme brulee and praline sweet potato for sides. I was so in love with my filet mignon and the sides, I forgot to ask for a taste for the "King of all Steaks". Always next time, right? Everything is FIRE as usual. Our server and the support staff were phenomenal in making this special occasion perfect. Thank you, Steak 44. And course of, the ambiance is always set up perfect for special occasions. Additional note: Steak 44 really went above and beyond, they called to confirm the reservation, they called to ask for the birthday person's name, and had a card made out to him. What a touch of class! Then to top it off, they called the day after to make sure our time was perfect.

First time here and I absolutely must come back. The bread to start was absolutely amazing and both cuts of steak were cooked too perfect perfection. Cocktails are pricey, but typical for Scottsdale and this caliber restaurant. Plus, they are very strong so you really only need to have one or two.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Steak 44 last night, and the entire experience from start to end were top notch! We absolutely loved the food (with one exception), the service, and the ambiance. There is a reason why Steak 44 is one of the best restaurants in town. I made our reservation a week or two ago on Open Table for a holiday weekend Sunday evening dinner (though you can also use their website to make a reservation). We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation using the self-parking near AJ's behind Steak 44 (though there is the valet parking option, too). We were seated after only five minutes and brought to a room with only four tables and a window showing the desserts on display. On the way to the room was the kitchen and many staff working well. Every staff member we walked by greeted us and on the way out later thanked us for coming. When we arrived, our server Sarah was very attentive to our needs and made recommendations upon being asked. We were initially brought some delicious bread either covered with light salt or cheese. I felt that the bread was melting in our mouths. Instead of ordering starters, we ordered side dishes to go with our entrees. My wife ordered a braised Shetland Island Salmon. I ordered a blue cheese crusted 12 ounce New York Strip. For our sides, we ordered a sautéed asparagus with shaved parmesan and sea salt and also Chef Moroni's potatoes (with caramelized onion, gouda, and mozzarella). Both entrees were absolutely delicious and filling along with the asparagus which was prepared perfectly. The potatoes unfortunately were accidentally prepared with too much pepper, but our server took care of them since we were barely able to eat it. We had to also leave some room for a Very Chocolate Cake made with dark chocolate ganache, milk chocolate butter cream, and bada bing cherries. The cake was the perfect dessert and so tasty. I certainly recommend that two people share one of these desserts. We also had two mini chocolate chip cookies delivered with the check a bit later. The cake had a special anniversary message (with the wrong number of years, but it's the thought that counts!) and was waived as a gift to us. Did I mention how delicious the meal was!? The service was next level as we had new silverware for every course with a crumb catcher used to clear and clean our table between each course. Our server continued to check on us, and our drinks never emptied. Some of the staff were training other staff in our room, and everything in the restaurant looked clean. Even the guests were expected to look decent as there was a reasonable dress code in place for guests (but nothing too strict). The price is quite high but worth every penny. I certainly expect to be coming back to Steak 44 in the future. I recommend the experience 100%!!

So delicious! Delyan, our server was amazing. Everything was perfection. From the valet to the host stand, to the bar, to our seated dinner... Look no further for the best steakhouse experience you have ever had. It's right here at Steak 44! What a time and what a staff! If we ever visit this area again we will definitely be back!!! Pictures do not do this place justice. It's an establishment you must witness in person.

I would like to start off by saying coming here was a dream come true. I wanted to go to take 44 for the past three years and finally went. We started off by ordering oysters, which were the best oysters I've ever eaten so fresh and the dipping sauces they offer you complement them very well. We ordered a medium steak which was very well seasoned and cooked as we asked. The service was good he knew what he was taking about I would def come back because the restaurant is beautiful and the food is good.

First off, every employee was genuinely very kind/courteous which in this day and age, is hard to find so I appreciate that. Also a bonus for valet. This occasion was for my bf birthday. I loved the special touch of a card with a happy birthday message and the dessert was delivered with a happy birthday message as well along with a lit candle. We were seated in the back in an almost private room with a window. My only complaint would be that it was freezing when I first got there but I believe they adjusted the temp after a small while so I was fine after. I would have loved to see the Pâtissier making the desserts in the window but they had supplies blocking the view. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my time. The next time I visit, I hope to sit in the main dining area to get a feel for that as well. I had the following: Beverage: Flat water (I am not a drinker)-water was very good though, some places serve funky water-10/10 Appetizer: Braised pork belly-incredibly flavorful, Smokey, sticky, sweet-10/10 Main: Australian Tajima NY Strip/medium rare with peppercorn sauce-nice crust, perfect temp, could use a little salt but the sauce helped-9/10 Side: Shells and cheese-nice tangy taste, creamy, al dente, piping hot-10/10 Side: Whipped Praline Sweet Potato-I could cover myself in these they are so damn good. Must try!-10/10 Dessert: Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake-not dry at all, fluffy, sweet, everything you'd want in a dessert-10/10 Freebies: Rolls-Fluffy, but not WOW, free is free though! 7/10 Freebies: Chocolate Chip Cookie-Nice n crisp but felt like it was missing some flavor-6/10 Overall-Fantastic experience, yummy food, and great service. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Steak 44-Adam, Isaac and Brady, they took great care of us. Without a doubt, this has been the best service that we have had in a long time, this restaurant is huge, I really don't know how many people it will serve. They offer different cuts of meat, and aging of months, fish and seafood. We had bread, steak BLT salad, a loaded, baked potato with truffle cheese, steaks and then for dessert we had one of the best Keylime pies I've ever eaten. It was incredible. A little tart not so sweet, perfect. This place is great for a special occasion. It is pricey, but worth some money. We love the warm towels to clean our hands. In the future, please do not sit three adults in the kids section in the back room. Right away, we asked to be moved away from the loud children. I WOULD RECOMMEND

I've had a lot of steak dinners in Phoenix and none of them compare to steak 44!! That corn crème brûlée is out of this world!! Me and my mother consistently come here for good steak. The service is impeccable and I'm always treated with top notch service. They have a great valet so you never have to worry about parking in your car. If you're ever in Phoenix, stop here!

Absolutely EXCELLENT service & food was OUTSTANDING with a beautiful ambiance!!! Highly Recommended!!!

So, I've been to this place before when I was in town visiting last time so of course I had to come back again. I wasn't going to yelp again but our food was delicious again but our server Kate was outstanding. So I made reservations because the place is always busy definitely on the weekends. So this time we ordered a salad Caesar salad to share which is great. We ordered the filet mignon and the bone in filet mignon and our sides were mashed potatoes and the snap peas. Everything was delicious and the staff is always great. We want to thank Kate for being an awesome server with the best attitude ever.

First time coming here and it was a fantastic experience. Between the table we got filet mignons and salmon. The mains were good, although I did put the sauce from the sautéed mushrooms on my filet to give it more flavor. As for the other sides of the table we got the sweet corn, and the rock shrimp and Alaskan king crab mashed potato's which was good! Although I'm sure next time I will try all new sides because I wasn't wowed. I'm sure there are others that are great! Lastly we ended with the warm vanilla caramel cake which was amazing! Definitely will be getting that again!

Coming from a middle-class girlie I'm giving Steak 44 a solid 4 stars. I didn't feel any kind of classism, which I was kind of nervous about -- but me and my mans definitely got upselled for sureee. My boyfriend and I already had steaks in mind from the menu, but our waiter offered us a steak that wasn't listed. We didn't ask for the price (rookie mistake), just trusted the vibe and went with it. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious -- but the check? Not so much. That steak alone was $175. HUH?! Lol. Best advice: stick to the menu, it'll still be amazing without the surprise pricing. The fries were okay, not super seasoned. But the appetizers? Loved them. Especially the oysters (just note: they're pretty small). We came here for our anniversary, and while the experience was nice overall, I was hoping for a cute setup -- something with flowers or petals maybe? But we just got a small regular table, so I'm not sure if they even offer anything like that. You know what though the experience was one to remember we even got steamed lavender infused towels after each meal to clean our hands All in all, I'd still recommend it for a special night out -- just go in with a game plan and maybe a budget in mind.

Steak 44 is the 2nd steakhouse I've had in Phoenix. It did not dissappoint at all. I called in for a group of 12 a month beforehand and was able to get a table. The table was just the right size and placed in a great spot in the restaurant. Most of us orderd the 45 day dry aged ribeye and i will say its one of the best if not the best ive had a steakhouse. Served on a hot plate, the steak was massive. Enough for a meal and a half! The steak was succulent, wonderfully flavored, and made extremely well. From walking in and getting greeted by the people working there was very welcoming. We also got farewells upon leaving so this was a very nice touch exiting. To top it off, i received a call the next day from steak44. Thinking one of our group left something, i was very suprised and was asked how did I like them. Just a check up call. Ive never had that before and it truly is top service steakhouse. 5 stars!

This was my second time here and it hasn't disappointed yet! We were seated in a booth surrounded by glass so it felt private and comfortable. We started with the crispy shrimp, this is a must have! So good!! I had the bone in ribeye, tender and flavorful. We got the sweet corn as the side which was good if you like corn, but nothing special. Service was great! We had a 9:45 pm reservation and it was still packed at that time.

This review is from dining on January 27th. We dined for my birthday. This was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had thanks to our wait staff and the chefs. First, when we arrived at the table, there was a birthday card waiting for me. A nice touch from the restaurant. Our main server, Joe was very professional and offered great suggestions for the meal. We both ordered dirty martinis which came with a little extra on the side left in the shaker. Part of Joe's team were Issac who took care of our every need making sure our water and food were constantly filled or dished out, dishes were cleared, any other needs met, and table kept clean. And, Brady, who delivered our dishes. Both were professional and courteous. Complimentary to the meal, you receive a hot bread dish which is crusted with salt. It is delicious. For our appetizer, we ordered the burrata which came with two balls of burrata. I've never received two at any restaurant. It was served with tomato jam, pickled onion, crispy bread. We both ordered filets, both medium rare and cooked to perfection. My husband also ordered shrimp which he said was cooked perfectly. For the sides, creamed spinach and hasselback potatoes. Again, we received two potatoes. For desert, Joe brought a complimentary key lime pie and chocolate chip cookies. Our meal was outstanding. Absolutely delicious. There was nothing that was not cooked perfectly. Although steak 44 is expensive, everything is elevated above most steakhouse restaurants from the service to the food to the overall experience. The price speaks for itself. We will be back.

Steak 44 is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary a birthday or major life milestone. The staff are extremely attentive. I loved getting to walk by the large seafood arrangement window. Their chop salad was quite tasty. They had a very nice wine selection that paired excellently with the food. My favorite dish was the warm butter cake for dessert though Everybody here was very kind would definitely come back but make sure to leave yourself time to park as parking can be tricky.

One of the best steak houses in the country! Exquisite service and exceptional food! Bravo! Ambience is conducive for business or a romantic evening! A must when visiting Phoenix! Reservations highly recommended!

We have returned to Steak 44 since my initial review and again had a great experience. While they were very busy, service was prompt and friendly throughout the whole meal. Their bread served warm in a small cast iron pan is DELICIOUS. Make sure to try some! Everything else we ordered tasted great. While the prices are not cheap, you definitely get what you pay for here.

Come on now top tier service, come on now attention to details!! Come on now delicious food. From the moment you walk in, the servers are greeting and getting you set up for an enjoyable evening. We went in for a birthday celebration and let me tell you, go on over and try this place. They give bread to begin with which is covered with parmesan and garlic butter ( half and half). Warm and nice. For the main I got the grassfat steak and we shared sides. The mac and cheese, the sweet corn, the potatoes and asparagus. The server actually dishes each shared side to each individual which was very impressive. We got a bottle of moscato for the table and they poured that for us also. The cherry on the cake was the warm vanilla dessert. Phewww. This place had my taste buds jumping!!!!

Now, let's talk about our server: he was less of a waiter and more of a menu genius. Think Wikipedia--but for food, cocktails, and every imaginable flavor combo. Attentive, knowledgable, casually predicting our next move without being creepy--like a food psychic who just gets you. Appetizer time! We dove right into a cosmic lineup: * Crispy Shrimp, sweet Thai chili and garlic aioli galore--each bite had me checking whether I needed napkins or a tiny violin for dramatic effect. * Then came the Prime Steakhouse Meatballs--a hybrid of beef and pork, family‑recipe magic, and the kind of cozy you want to keep stocked in your freezer for emergencies. * And the Dungeness Crab Cocktail was so next-level good--with their house-made sauce and atomic horseradish, I almost kissed the plate. Literally. These bites are the appetizers of your unapologetic dreams: bold flavors, artful presentation, and enough sauce to judge your ex's life choices. Did I mention they're not part of a sad, static steakhouse menu? Nope--they're vibrant, inventive, and total crowd‑pleasers. Add to that impeccable service, plush ambiance, and drinks that feel like they were designed to solve all your problems (in a classy way), and you've got yourself a happy-hour worth writing home about--or, ya know, posting on Yelp Elite. Will I be back? Without question--probably within the week. Just gotta pace myself so I can order more meatballs, shrimp, and crab without anyone judging my pursuit of appetizer greatness.

My fiancé and I came to celebrate our anniversary. We were throughly impressed! This restaurant quickly became my favorite. The service was top tier from the hostess to the busser and the waiter. The food was so delicious, I keep dreaming about the cream brûlée corn. The steak was melt in your mouth tender and the bread was fresh out of the oven. I only wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

We came here with coworkers/colleagues for a business dinner. The service here is VERY professional and on-point, right from the very start by dropping your car off at the valet... Everyone was helpful, attentive, and polite. The first thing I noticed when walking in was their small, but incredible cellar, with bottles from the popular places like Caymus, but also some very special bottles, like Screaming Eagle (Though I'm not sure why all the bottles are standing up... are they sold that often?). They have a decent by-the-glass wine list on the menu, as well as a nice basic bottle list there too. The food on the menu looked great, with many appealing starters and entrées, as well as a large list of beef done many ways. We tried several things, from the calamari, burrata, pork belly, salad, multiple steaks, hassleback potato, and other sides, and even dessert and everything was great! The rub they put on the steak was great! Very flavorful, with a slight kick. All of the steaks were prepared perfectly too! Overall, highly recommend making a reservation to come for dinner... This was a wonderful experience!

I have been twice to Steak 44 and both times I came with high expectations. The first time I came to celebrate my engagement with my now husband. Things went overall well that first time but since there was a small issue with our service we were invited to come back. I appreciate management trying to make it right. The second time we came back was to celebrate my birthday. The food itself was tasty and well cooked. They do good steak and I like their sweet potato and Brussels sprouts. The reason why this is not a 5 star restaurant is because at the end of our dinner our waiter suggested dessert and he eluded that the dessert would be complimentary for my birthday. I was kinda full but could not pass on free dessert so we picked one. The bill comes back later and he charged us for the dessert. This left a really bad taste in my mouth. I would have not ordered it had he not insisted. I think for the price I really expect an outstanding service. We also didn't get the cookie they bring at the end of the dinner. Too bad because I do think I like the food but on both occasions I have been there's been some issues with the service. I don't think I'm coming back anytime soon and will probably recommend other steak houses.

This is a wonderful spot for an elegant meal. Extensive wine selection available. The food is splendid and the crispy shrimp deviled eggs are some of the best deviled eggs you will ever experience. The atmosphere is classy with the staff attentive and helpful.

Steak 44 absolutely earns its place among the top five steakhouses in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. It checks all the high-end boxes--beautiful atmosphere, an impressively attentive (and plentiful) staff, and an elevated dining experience from start to finish. If you've been to others in this tier, you'll notice that same polished feel here too. The menu focuses on steak and seafood, with plenty of cut and quality options. We went with the classic 12 oz petite filet, and it was perfectly cooked, buttery, and tender. We also split a Caesar salad that came topped with a poached egg--super rich and full of flavor. For sides, we tried both the mashed potatoes and their thinly sliced baked potato. The mashed were the definite standout--creamy, smooth, and just indulgent enough. Dessert was a win. We ordered the Key Lime Pie, which was well-balanced and not overly tart, but the surprise standout was the off-menu beignets. Light, fluffy, and served with cream and chocolate sauce--they were incredible. If they're available, don't skip them. Only critique? The service, while top-notch in quality, can sometimes feel too present. There were a lot of interruptions--refilling waters, clearing plates, checking in constantly--which occasionally made it hard to carry on a full conversation without pausing. A little more space between check-ins would've made the experience feel more relaxed. Still, this place is definitely a must-visit for a special night out. Amazing food, great ambiance, and overall one of the best steakhouse experiences in the valley.

This is my 3rd time dining at Steak 44. Each and every time has been fantastic. Only thing I would not get again is the asparagus fries as they were just ok, but pork belly appetizer was great, steak's were fantastic. Every time we get the corn brûlée as it's amazing. And service is always on point.

Steak 44 is top notch. The bread service to start was very good. I got a wedge salad which was great, the bacon on top was terrific. My filet was cooked to my liking and topped with burrata. This was my first time having it that way, and it was good, but idk that I would order the burrata again. The pickled onions on it did add though and were great! The creamed spinach was creamed spinach but chef Moro is potatoes were one of the best steakhouse sides I have had! Can't wait to comes back to Scottsdale to enjoy again! Perfect 30th birthday!

Service was top notch here and the food was secondary. I had the pork chop and it was overly seasoned making it too salty. The cook was good, the meat wasn't dry but I needed to eat the pork with mashed potatoes each bite. The sides were a great compliment to the main dish. Mac n Cheese was creamy and cheesy and brussel sprouts soft on the inside with a crisp exterior. I was able to try a piece of my friend's australian wagyu and it wasn't anything special. I typically enjoy fattier cuts but this one wasn't that fatty.

I was in town for work and I've been on the search for great steakhouses lately and saw this place on Yelp. Called in and made an easy reservation with the very friendly and accommodating staff. I ordered the 45 day dry aged bone-in ribeye medium rare w/ no sides. My ribeye came out medium well, not very moist with little flavor. It looked nothing like the pictures on here, either. It's a shame I had really high hopes since the place is really nice. I understand every restaurant is hit or miss, but I've had some outstanding dry aged ribeyes and this wasn't it...it is what it is. Would I be back or recommend? No. Maybe you'll have better luck with your experience if you go through.

All I can say about this place is that their service is phenomenal and their food mirrors it. I had a steak that was -slightly- overcooked and immediately they offered to replace it. In addition, they offered to replace my wife's so we "could eat at the same time". We turned that part down, but shortly later I got my new steak perfectly cooked. That's where I was already impressed - zero hesitation to do the right thing. What came after that made it over the top amazing service. A free dessert and they took the steak off the bill. The GM came and apologized. Their sister restaurant, ocean 44, is just as awesome. The only knock on Steak 44 is that it's super loud so if you're going for a quiet romance, it might not be the right spot.

Food is definitely five stars. I had the shrimp cocktail. The nice lady at the bar asked me if I was going to have anything else besides the salad that I ordered, so she suggested. I only have two shrimp. And she was absolutely correct. They were great tasting and big. My New York was done, absolutely perfectly and had a great taste. The nice lady at the bar and the nice lady that was at the high top were absolutely spectacular Kate and Aiden took very very good care of me again I give it five stars more if I could. Ambience was very nice and I give it a four. I only give five on a steakhouse with red leather booths.

Making a reservation was very easy. I was asked if it was for a special occasion, which it was for my birthday. Upon arrival, we were seated and I was handed a handwritten letter saying happy birthday and thank you for choosing to spend my day there. Our waiter was amazing! He was so attentive and very informative as this was our first time here. He gave us great wine recommendations based on what we liked and he explained the menu so well. As for the food, it was definitely the best steak we've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and exactly how we wanted. The sides were amazing and the desert (which they gifted for my bday!!!) was 100000/10. They also packed all of our leftovers up nicely. Overall, this was definitely worth the drive and time. The atmosphere was beautiful and they played great music. We will for sure be going back for our next big occasion.

Some of the most amazing food you'll ever experience. No exaggeration, it will blow your mind how incredible the steak options are. The butchers cut rib cap is like meat prepped & cooked from another planet. I could not comprehend how meat could taste this good. Be warned, Steak 44 will completely ruin you for every other steak you ever have! Flash seared at 1500 degrees & served on a 500 degree plate, The flavor was super explosive on every single bite. So tender that it just melts away into a creamy like texture. Every bite so savory, you'll find yourself trying to make every bite last as long as you can with hopes that it will never end.

Steak 44 is a fine dining steakhouse that offers an array of warm and contemporary spaces ranging from vibrant to intimate atmospheres so while in Phoenix yesterday, I made a reservation to give it a try!! First I will apologize for the lack of photos. It was a business dinner and as much as I would have loved a full photo shoot. I had to be as discreet as possible. Overall, it was a fabulous experience!! We arrived early so stopped by the bar to grab a cocktail while our table was prepared. They have an exquisite wine list as well as a multitude of high end cordials to choose from!! After being seated we were immediately greeted by our server "Manny" and it was magic from there on out!! The staff are highly-trained and provide a luxurious personalized service to exceed your expectations thus creating the totality of the fine dining experience. Manny did not disappoint!! The food was amazing, perfectly cooked to temperature and bursting with flavor!! I absolutely ate way more than I originally intended to and if I didn't have a flight shortly after, I would have happily taken home the small amount of leftovers. Every bite is worth savoring!! I am looking forward to visiting again and absolutely recommend that when in town, be sure to make a reservation (in advance), you will not be disappointed!!

This place was amazing! I'm always skeptical of steakhouses because you usually get mediocre steak and very bland sides, but this place was the complete opposite. We started off with the hamachi and holy crap I could have eaten 4 plates of this. I got the sea bass and the cauliflower and WOW, probably the best cauliflower. My husband got the steak and fries and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so nice and greeted us as we came in, except the hostesses. They were so rude and bitchy and acted as if we were bothering them when we checked in. That was the only negative experience of this night. We definitely will go again!

Had a very nice business dinner at Steak 44. Special thanks to Abigail, who took great care of us all night. Got seated in a semi-private booth even though we didn't request one. That helped as the main room was a little loud. The food was delicious, steaks were all cooked to our asking. It's on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Only real down side was it took quite a bit of time for everything to come through. We passed on ordering dessert because we had already been in for over two and a half hours and were getting tired. That wouldn't stop me from coming back though. It's a great spot for a special occasion or a fancy date night.

Does NOT disappoint. Elite service, luxury, and and food and drink to boot. I've never had a bad experience here. It's worth every penny:

Shout out to Joyce W. After seeing her review of Steak 44, which is the street they're located on in Phoenix. I had to make reservations since I was in town only for a few nights. Btw several of the family members here are founders of Mastro's empire who sold the chain to a private equity firm in 2007 and is now under the family of restaurants by Laundry's. I checked in and was seated immediately and was sat near the bar. It was on the loud side with the music, and the bar was at capacity. Ordered a bottle of cabernet, appetizer of crispy shrimp, and a complimentary warm dish of yummy bread. I went for the dry aged 22 oz rib eye, fresh branzino with lemon butter, asparagus, pan-fried wild mushrooms, and cream Brule corn. For dessert, we had the Ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake (aka - butter cake). The food and service were outstanding. Definitely suggest reservations, and they have sister restaurants in Del Mar and Beverly Hills named Steak 48 - due to Arizona is the 48th state of the U.S.
