Steak 'n Shake

I do not leave reviews often but I don’t think this Steak n Shake gets enough credit for the improvements that have been made. A few years ago I would come here and wait 45+ minutes for an order that ended up being wrong. Today and the past 4-5 times I’ve come, I haven’t waited anymore than 5 minutes for my order in the drive thru… but the FOOD. Is absolutely delicious, my burger (western burger add lettuce and tomato) has been 5 STARS the past couple of months I’ve been here. My fries are always fresh. Everything is just good. I genuinely have nothing but good things to say. I’m so happy, as someone who grew up eating here, you guys are continuing to stand. Hope you continue to for a long, long time as I will continue to be a customer for the duration lol

I ordered a Frisco melt for my grand daught. Drove 20 minutes there. When I got home it had onions and mayo on it that I didn't ask for and the bread was soggy. They wanted me to bring the food back which was impossible since I was working. Needless to say my granddaughter ended up not being able to eat before she had work. Bad customer service with no resolution. Won't go back.

All orders are through the kiosk. Easy enough. The drink machine was a little odd, had to to use a QR code everytime to get a drink. Food was good and came out quickly. Seating was clean on the Saturday we went.

This is by far one of the cleanest restaurants I have been in for some time. The food and the placed smelled both delicious and clean and fresh. I had an extended conversation with Tara as I waited for my order to be prepared fresh and hot. She was a joy and I could tell she puts a lot of pride into her cooking. I certainly would go back soon and recommend others do also. I wish I had taken a picture of the clean bright location.

I move around a lot for work and this has got to be one of the worst steak n shakes ive seen. Behind on every order and pre making food so its already old and cold by the time it gets to you, I was given a pre-made shake that had fully melted and thrown cherries on top as part of the order. The fries were already cold and shriveled from sitting out. The second time the shake was made, the shortest girl on shift, Mexican looking with braids, handed the shake over and very snootily said "hopefully this time its thicker" and forgot to give us a straw on both occasions. It was fairly dead too, horrible service from the girl and the food was not the impression the steak and shake gives for fresh fries and burgers.

Drive through service was empty, the store was dead. We went through the drive and asked to do a split order. The person at the drive through said, "Yeah, we can't do that. You can come in and place an order at the kiosk." So we asked, "We don't understand, why can't you do a split order?" Reply, "Because the GM said I can't." idk? It's an elementary, common request.

It's a steak N shake. I mean, I remember when, back in my day, they had table side servers but that's gone however they have been able to keep prices low. The burgers were good, cheese fries excellent, and shakes delicious. Still burger and fries but just different than regular ol places as you make a drive to places.

I was in yesterday around 6pm, my family and I waited in line for 25 minutes, as I expected good food from the first time I went. As they make sure everything is fresh right? I got my food, fries were old you can tell. Along with missing my chili mac, we turned around cause 1. I spend $38 at this restaurant I want fresh food. 2. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter after my s/o called seeing that I’ve been waiting and not getting helped, more people come. 3. This baffled me. The lady asked the 2 cooks “hey you get them fresh fried out to that lady (me)” their response “well we’re working on the chili” and fries come back. STILL OLD. Fresh fries are supposed to be hot to the mouth not heater warm and soggy. Mind you I heard them drop the fries when she asked and I still received cold fries. My daughter’s meal, got two chicken tenders. That weren’t even worth 1 combined. Cold, along w her fries as well. I would ultimately want a refund because I got home and lost my appetite (and still now it’s sitting in the fridge. waiting for an hour for “fresh” food that was barely even fresh. Mind you we entered the drive thru at 6:15, didn’t get to leave until about 7:01, I have never had an experience like this at any other restaurant. My first experience was amazing and that’s why I came back. So very disappointed.

The Hamburgers and Fries were good as they typically are at any Steak n Shake. The managers were yelling and swearing very loudly in the back and all the dine in customers could hear it plan as day. One of the managers came out and apologized and gave us free shake coupons for everyone at the table. That was nice until we went to use them and the same manager told us we could not use them on the same day (we are from out of town) so the apology and coupons were worthless. But I guess it's ok for our family to listen to the yelling and swearing during dinner...very tasteless and no class. This is not a family friendly place.

Had an issue with my order over 2 weeks ago. Asked for someone to contact me. No contact had been made yet. Guess they really don't care, once they have your money

It was a bad experience from start to finish. You have to order on kiosk which took us 20 minutes to get the food in the cart and could not figure out how to pay. Finally a man came over after we called for him to help. He did not teach just finished the order so fast we don't know what he did. At the drinks station there was no Diet Coke so we opted for iced tea. The one that said it was sweetened was not and the other one was horribly sweet. They did kindly bring our food to our table. The fries were Ok but the burgers were SO salty it was hard to eat them. They were also over cooked. Best part was leaving never to return.

If you're looking for a cheap burger with decent taste, Steak and Shake is the perfect place. Their speed is off the charts when it comes to getting the food to you. The manager is the nicest lady I've ever met, she brings the food out to the tables, and asks if we need anything else. The burger was a tad bit overdone with Garlic Sauce. I had a puddle of garlic under my burger after I finished and it was so salty I felt the heart stop. The French fries are always hot and cooked to perfection. The milkshake is always a hit or miss. I understand that the gimmick of the place is to bring your food out to you after the shake, but half the time your shake is done before the food gets out to you, or the shake isn't what you need to wash the meal down. The interior was falling apart however. The floor was dirty, windows not clean, sills next to our seats were filthy, wood was falling off the counter next to the fountain drink machine. Stained ceiling tile, and nasty bathrooms. If the inside was kept up it would be the best place to go for a nice quick burger. The frisco sauce is to die for however! I love dipping my fries into the sauce.

No waitstaff, no actual plates or cutlery, restrictive use of the soda fountain (QR code? Really?) why bother anymore. Staff seemed shellshocked.

I am so profusely disheartened and grossed out by how the manager of this establishment treats its patrons handle the food! After ordering my meal and as a sister waited for hers, we witnessed the manager handle the food WITHOUT GLOVES. a bandaid could be seen on his hand as well making matters worse. After being questioned about the issue (it should be stated that EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE HAD ON GLOVES AS MANDATED) he became combative. He yelled and denied the entire issue and went on to attempt to gaslight us by hiding the bandage and denying it was there. He immediately upon other customers becoming concerned and Watching the scene retreated to his office and never returned to remedy the issue. A refund was NOT offered. While the other employees were witnesses to his bare handed handling of food we choose not to involve them as we feared He would punish or reprimand them. He is an absolute jerk and I fear had we not been melanted he would have been far more cooperative and sympathetic? Perhaps he even would have taken accountability for it. Please do not frequent or visit this particular location. Just drive further down to the next one and save yourself a blood borne pathogen exposure!

Bad service, Food remade 3 times. Manger to lazy to come out and talk to us. Not worth $70 for three single burgers and a double burger. With two small milkshakes.

0 this location sucks!!!! It's not even open at 3 on a Sunday. It never available when we show up. Hour waits, rude workers. Done trying. Won't be back!!!

This is the dirtiest location I've ever seen. Employees look trashy in general, not professional and no uniforms. The building is in ruins and is filthy inside and out. Trash all over the outside landscaping. Windows are all greasy and disgusting. How is this place in operation?

I stopped going here the past couple years. I don't know what happened but they are cranking out amazing food now. Give them another try. I even went inside to thank manager after I ate in car because it was SO good.

Service was horrible, didn't have what I ordered and ripped me off with the substitution after all the extras I ordered on my foot long dog meal it was 12.50 just for that one large meal they replaced with a basic cheese burger not even a combo weres my large cheese fry's and large Dr Pepper with vanilla squirt I ordered just because yall out of hotdogs does that mean I can't get the rest of my order I payed for man talk about rip offs $50 worth of food and received maybe $25 worth!!! definitely disappointed not worth ordering from will never be back!!!

I was in Toledo/Perrysburg for a couple days on business and looking for something for dinner, so when I saw there was a Steak n Shake nearby I decided to go get a spaghetti 5-way; one of my favorites that I don't get to enjoy anymore since all the Steak n Shake locations in my home area have closed. I started reading the reviews and almost didn't go because they were so awful. But- none of those warnings applied to my experience. The restaurant was VERY clean, and I saw workers sweeping and cleaning the whole time I was there. All the food workers were wearing gloves, and every single person I encountered was super nice, helpful and friendly. The order process has changed since the last time I visited a SnS location (years ago) so that was a little confusing, and they no longer offer their amazing garlic fries but I placed my order with minimal trouble. SnS has never been fast, so I wasn't surprised by the wait, although it did take a bit longer than expected. To be fair they were slammed at the drive through. But when my food arrived, it came with a sincere "sorry for the wait!" and a smile. And it was delicious. All in all the experience was 100% opposite of all the negative reviews I read, so much so that it makes me wonder if someone with a grudge got a bunch of people to post bad reviews.

Ordered online, went to pick it up they told me to wait in the drive through line. 45 minutes later I finally get to the window and they don't have my order ready I'm assuming because it's been sitting out. Surprised they didn't give me warm milkshakes. 0/10 for online ordering, don't accept online orders if you can't fulfill them and don't have a system for them, and don't be a drive through if it takes 15 minutes per vehicle. Never have I ever spent this much time at a "fast food" restaurant

Terrible. The kiosks are hard to understand. We saw 3 couples try to order from them and they all walked out. We waited 35 minutes before we got our burgers and after another 10 minute wait were told their shake machine didn't work. Whoever came up with these kiosks should be fired. They turn customers away. Don't waste your time.

What a disappointment! We ordered online and arrived at the restaurant at the time we were instructed from their site to pick up our order. The food was cold and made incorrectly. Then they forgot to give us our drinks. The food prep area was dirty and unkept. Just an overall disappointing visit. We definitely won't be back!

It is a dirty greasy burger joint. I enjoy the truffle burger! It's greasy but tastes sooooo good. The garlic fries are both worth the extra. It's more like garlic powder on fries. The fries are super skinny and get cold fast but the burgers and shakes are why you go here anyway. Shakes are made with flavorings, not actual fruit. So, I was not a fan but the Reese's peanut butter cup shake was fabulous.

My g f and I went in last night around 830.Not many people in there it's been close to a year for are last vist the time was terrible.We get seated quick from there it goes all down hill waitress was really rude unprofessional for sure was inpatient on us placing are order took over twenty minutes and it was not busy food was terrible as was the service

Been sitting in line for over a half hour. Multiple cars have pulled out of line and when I get to the window I watch as an employee makes 7 to go orders while I sit here and wait for my food. No apologies no explanation of what's going on. Inexcusable customer service.

Pathetic. One would think after the health department closed them down a few months ago that the owner/manager would be sure their people knew what to do. NOT. Chocolate Shake tastes like Maple. Disgusting. What a Motley Crue. Everyone running around not knowing what to do, looks like chaos. I'm sure when I take this shake back they will try not to give me my money + back, so watch the news reporting r their manager 'had an accident'. Their place is probably dirty again. Calling health department in morning.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ordered online and went to pick up the food, the order was suposed to be done in 10-13 'mins and the food was done but I waited in side for damn near an hour to recieve the actual order. The food was soggy, the shakes were melted and I ended up requesting a refund or for them to remake the food. the customer service was subpar, careless to say the least. In the end, they remade the food and got one of the burgers wrong. After all that waiting and still get the order wrong? This place should have STAYED closed down. Why even reopen if no changes are made?!

There is no point in even coming to this location. Either you're gonna wait 45 minutes in the drive thru, or they're gonna be out of damn near everything on the menu. Ya'll should just close. You're a waste of space at this point. Take your chances going to the one on Monroe, that one is always out of something too, but it's better than this one.

Absolutely horrible service. General manager refused to give cheese sauce then after being told that we'd pay for it continued to print a second receipt saying we were liars therefore he would not give us cheese sauce. He then childlessly lay called the cops and refused to open the drive thru window again: Got home and there wasn't tomato on the grilled cheese AS ORDERED on the receipt. LMAO Don't waste money on this place as he claimed to be the general manager.

I went to Steak and Shake on Montgomery in Toledo round 9:30 July 3rd 2023 I pulled up to the drive-thru and the man proceeded to sell me the only way I could order was by using the app or my mobile phone I asked him for the number he would not give it to me he said if you want to order then you can wait in the parking lot etc etc so I did I ordered my food via the app it said it would be ready in 12 minutes I waited 12 minutes no one come outside so I went back to the window and waited for a few minutes finally this guy comes up to the window and tells me that it's after 10:00 and he wasn't making me no food I told him it had already took the money of my card and that was the money I had to eat on for the night I had nothing else He told me if ld come back tomorrow and maybe get a refund from his boss I said I don't have the money to go buy more food so what do I do you're just not going to make me my food he said the order didn't come in in time and then he proceeded to threaten me that if I didn't leave he was going to come outside so I left of course and now I can't get a hold of anybody at steak and shake I've sent emails I don't know what to do please help

I had a craving for a milkshake and some fries, so we pulled through the drive-thru at our local Steak 'n Shake. The usual consensus after eating here is that we got some greasy food, and slow service. Tonight was no different. You wouldn't know that they were open, as the menu board was unlit. The girl taking the order and working the cash register was clearly fighting with her coworkers as we heard her scream "don't worry about it" multiple times at her fellow employees. It must have been pre-occupying her, as she just started handing items out to us without a word. We got home, and the fries were soggy and unsalted. The burger was O.K. I would recommend anywhere else, as this is how they run business here as of recently.

Closed now (July 2019) due to health code violations, which is not surprising. My son and I already vowed never to return after visit a couple weeks ago. Severely understaffed. Even waited in a line to be seated and restaurant was only half full at best. Guy behind us tired of waiting and balked with his family with a parting shout. We decided to stay more out of curiosity at the spectacle. Big mistake. Waited forever to order, longer for the food, retrieved our own ketchup and silverware, and only received our shakes when ready to go. Must have been sitting out the whole time since essentially milk no shake at that point. Ahhh ... the memories

Absolutely horrible service. 33 minutes stuck in the drive thru. Had to triple check the order. Employees more concerned with checking their cell phones than servicing the customers. Definitely has gone downhill over the years!

Love the new concept at this Steak 'n Shake. Order at kiosk and pick up when it's ready. The food is always hot, good and reasonably priced. We usually eat in but have used carry out. Both are good.

It used to be good. First time they couldn't get anyone that was trained in burger making, now this time our server sat on her ass most of the time taking an hour for 3 burgers. Not going back until they figure out how to run a restaurant.

UPDATE: So I thought I would give this place one more chance, let's just say worse than previous visit. While I was dining, waitresses not really caring about their customers. The GM, I believe her name is Jen, was screaming at a waitress, belittling the guy doing shakes and giving a hard time to a young man that wasn't sure how to do something, but instead of saying well let me help you out all I heard her say was..."how long have you been working here?" repeating herself 3x's!!! Sad when a manager belittles her employees instead of jumping in to help out!! Oh, and if she would have said "MY GOD" one more time I think I would have smacked her!! I'm am dine with this Steak and Shake which is sad because this use to be a great place to dine....NOT ANYMORE....WHAT A JOKE!!

Terrible service! Waited 5 mins at the door to be seated, totally ignored. Walked out after 15 minutes being ignored waiting for even a drink order!

The only reason I rated this garbage of a place it's because its the only way they allow you to review it ! From the start we should've known !...waited 10 to 15 minutes to be seated , the high chair we were given was down right fit to be used at an auto mechanic repair shop. We had to wipe and clean ourselves! Waited another 20 to 24 minutes and no one even came over to take our drink orders... my family got up and decided to leave, I myself went to let the crowd of waitresses just standing around eating crap... that we were totally ignored and no one cared , manager heard me clearly never said a word! Terrible customer service, never again.....thank God for Five Guys near by....better place to eat and spend my money!!!

Went through the drive thru and waited a long time to even be served and when rolling up to the window, I didn't even get a hello. She put out her hand for my money and closed the food doors. Then gave me my food and closed them again. Not even worth going if the people are so inconsiderate to even say a single word to their customers at the window. Awful customer service and terrible wait time.

This spot is A NO GO!!! If your in a rush DO NOT go to this steak and shake. Me and my family were in line for 20 minutes with just one car in front of us. The lady taking our order couldn't understand us and we go to find out and see she has and AirPod in her ear (probably listening to music) and that is why she couldn't hear us. :/

My experience couldn't be any worse,it took them 45 min to get our order,and when we complained,they blamed each other,finally when we wanted to pay the check,the waiter asked us how much tip we are willing to pay which is odd,to ask us in person to pay for tip,my total order was 7.50 and told her i will pay 1$ for tip,but when i check credit card,it was charged 9 $,which means she put the tip as 1.50$ ,and also the tables and the restrooms were a total mess.a total unpleasant experience

I was in the drive thru for 25 minutes. When I went inside after waiting for them to bring the food out they just starting my order. Everyone inside was moving like a turtle. A suggestion is to have another menu 10-20 feet before you get to the speaker.

We went today to have lunch. Place was packed as usual, maybe more so because it was happy hour. Half priced milkshakes is the reason. I had the Hershey's Special dark milkshake which is my favorite. So much better than Sonic shakes because they seem to have issue with making them taste like chocolate. Steak 'n Shakes are so thick that they give you a spoon at the same time as the straw. My friend swore the strawberry one was better but not a fan of those. We both had the steak burger with bacon and cheese sandwich which is our go to. Great and tasty there to, my only small complaint is that lately I have had to request extra mustard because they either forget it entirely or there just a tiny amount of it. Other than that, service is good and the place is clean.

I've been getting coupons for Steak n' Shake in the mail so I figured it was finally time to use them since my boyfriend was also intrigued. We ordered a strawberry milkshake, original double cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and the royale burger (basically just a regular burger but with eggs and bacon). The strawberry milkshake was TERRIBLE. It tasted like plastic and at first I thought it was just the straw but then I used a spoon to taste it and it was still plastic tasting. I just threw it away which shows just how much I hated it because 1) I hate waste 2) I love sweets of all kinds generally. My original burger was actually not bad - the meat here is good. The bun though was really hard and I questioned if it was a bit stale. Weird thing is that the royale burger came with a good bun. The chili cheese fries are skippable in my opinion since the chili isn't that good and they don't make the fries any less soggy or bland. Goodness the fries needed salt. I don't see any reason to come back even if they gave out more coupons.

The burgers were great, I loved the fries and the shakes were amazing. This was my first time at the restaurant. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the building and also the friendliness of the workers. I also thoroughly enjoyed the variety of meals and shakes. There were so many different kinds of shakes it took me forever to order. Great location and also amazing prices! I will be returning.

I like the food at Steak n Shake, but I'm beginning to think that eating there is more of a hassle than it's worth. I went through the drive thru today and had to return the food given to me twice. The first bag they gave me was something completely different from what I ordered, the second bag they gave me the right hamburger, but instead of fries, a cookie, and chili they gave me two half containers of old fries that were globbed together. I told the drive thru lady that the order was still wrong, and she replied "well we don't have any cookies left". A couple minutes later I was able to get my correct oder. Got home and saw that the receipt that came with my food was $1 cheaper than what I was charged. I'd like to say that this is unusual, but these days every time I go there my order is wrong.

You get what you pay for here, its not expensive and the food is good. It is 70's type atmosphere, great for a milk shake. But I go for the platter, that includes the main part of the meal and two side items. Your main dish could be a burger/sandwich, fish filet, taco salad, chicken strips or what can be whipped up quick. You have your side items such as tasty thin fries, onion rings, cottage cheese, house salad, soup of the day, cup of chilli. I like this place, it has great service, usually walk in and sit down, no waiting. The people who work there are always great. They aren't scared to joke and laugh with you. They don't take their job to serious except for when it comes to making you happy. This is the place to get a steak burger in town.

Burgers and fries are classic and well priced but for some reason, the wait staff here can't really grasp the 'shake' part of the name. If your shake arrives at all during your meal, it will likely arrive late. Ask for the whole shebang to-go, but be prepared to wait for about 25 minutes while they tend to fifteen loud idiot college kids.

Arrived there this evening and dined in around 10:15pm. Twenty minutes passed before our drink order was taken and the waitress was so rude and bothered to have to deal with us. It was just myself and a friend, we each ordered a drink and a burger and fries. We didn't get our food until 11:45. No refills on drinks. Went up front to pay and our waitress says something about it being midnight and the register doing something but mumbled everything, didn't look at us when she was talking so we weren't even sure she was talking to us. She walked away and left us standing there for over 5 mins. All while having to hear the staff bad mouth their dm loudly. Unprofessional and disappointing.

I've been waiting days to speak to corporate because when I stopped in on 20th about 7:45 the lady that was taking our order was incredibly rude they were out of everything and our order was completely wrong I would not recommend coming to this location

My boyfriend and I went there yesterday around 4:30 pm, as we walked in- the slow and uncaring service already started. We waited to be seated, and when we were , after being seated it was clear the table was very unclean. We sat down and ordered our drinks, as the order was being put in I went to the restroom, it was horrific. Both toilets were unusable, the floor was covered in dirt and was extremely sticky along with the paper towels flowing over the top of the garbage can, and the smell of the restroom was horrendous. I quickly made my way back to the table where my boyfriend was, our drinks weren't out yet, so I sat down and waited. After about 5 minutes or so, the drinks came to our table by our waitress, she clearly didn't know which drink was which, and smelled my drink (honestly thought she put her nose in it), as we both looked at each other in wonder, we let it go and ordered our meals. I ordered a BBQ Burger with garlic parmesan fries, and my boyfriend ordered the Original Prime Steak-burger with fries. We ordered a side of onion rings with ranch as well. It took about 10 minutes for our order to finally come out , when it did everything looked okay, other than the onion rings which was probably 4 small things on a plate (it's bad when even the waitress is comparing about portion and pricing) ("Yes, it's really $1.99 for that" she claimed to us and walked away.) As were both eating our food, my boyfriend realizes his burger is pretty much completely raw (pictures attached), he immediately refused to eat it and just continued with the fries. My meal was okay. I ordered a shake (Ultimate Banana with Nuts on top) after we both finished , it was probably the worst tasting shake i've ever had. Of course the whipped cream/nuts was fine, the cherry tasted really old and rubbery, the shake itself tasted like they put more sugar in than anything else. Along with the bad food, we were there for about an hour and a half (including wait time), in this time we heard many people complain about different things, and even had a gentleman put next to us to eat, he finished fairly quickly- about 10 to 15 minutes after he left an older woman came in and was sat at the same table. Even from where I was sitting, I could see crumbs and cup marks on the table.. The whole time we were there , there wasn't one table cleaned (even though we counted 6 employees working and all gossiping in the back), we overheard the older woman ask about the flavors of the shakes, in return she got the waitresses hand pushed into her face to stupidly show her the menu flavors instead of just informing her of them. We continuously saw our waitress (who looked extremely unprofessional) roll her eyes after either coming out to serve food/ or even when another customer came into the establishment.. Nothing says "I love my job" more than rolling your eyes at customers and giving completely horrible service.. After we finished a few sips of the shake we immediately asked for our receipt .. in the time it took her to drop the receipt off, she happened to drop a stack of napkins with someone else's credit card on our table.. as we both looked at each other (my boyfriend and I) we knew it wasn't ours and must say something quick, so I grabbed the card and walked over to where our waitress was, I told her "I believe this belonged to the man who just walked out, if it is I can run it out to him before he leaves", I was quickly shut down with her snatching it out of my hand and replying "No, I don't remember who's card this was, but it belonged to a white man", I told her the gentleman who just walked out was white and that it must've been his. She quickly got an attitude and said no then walked away, as she was walking about she put the credit card in the back pocket (not the pocket of the apron), but her actual pants pocket. She said to me after I sat down "I have to give this to my manager" (which she didn't), she comes back and says to me as i'm holding my credit card waiting to go pay "I can take that for you" I look at my boyfriend and quickly say "No we can meet in the front and do it up there" There wasn't any way I was giving her my credit card after seeing her pocket someone else's. We both made our way to the front and paid, the thing is, us paying and leaving must've been the best part of the whole dining experience. Not only was the place a mess and very unclean, his meal was raw, and there was people gossiping everywhere we turned. I must say the Steak 'n shake on Reynolds is one place we'll NEVER go again. Please save your money, and skip this one. I gotta say, the McDonalds right across the street would've been a better bet.

Omg I'm in love with the Garlic Parmesan fries and the meals that are 4 bucks are such a good deal. I love you this place plus it's 24 hours

I was here with a friend and her boyfriend at around 1 am. A drunk man kept making advances onto my 13 year old friend and she was clearly very uncomfortable that a 30 year old was harassing her. We hurried up and ate and the waitress yelled at him and escorted us out making sure she was ok, very nice waitress!! She deserves a raise or something

Most disappointing service. Its "convenience " is NEVER convenient bc its never open "24hrs" as advertised, remedial staff has difficulty with order accuracy( which is the customer's fault) *SARCASM*, and when sd remedial staff then had difficulty with cash register they allow u to sit in a jam packed drive thru line for 40 min just to inform u that they are only takin cash. They will turn off the menu board and refuse service at their leisure. Once i pulled up n the menu board was off.. i pulled around to call to see if they were open n serving (open 24 hrs right?) I shit u not the manager looked at me thru the entry door window n ignored my ass. Wht a joke. If this place is privately owned the owner shouldnt be shocked at the impending decrease in sales and endless shitty reviews for wht you as a consumer is offered at this establishment. One word. RIDICULOUS.

I love steak 'n Shake. I got the garlic one and my husband got the mushroom and swiss one and it was really good. I got a banana shake and it was really think and yummy!! I wish there was one by me.

The food is "good", the service friendly, however, getting tomatoes off if my salad consisted of the them being picked out by the staff rather than preparing a new side salad which left tomatoes still there once it was returned. You get what you pay for...
