I plan on leaving a positive review every time I order.. that’s how much I like this place and the people that work there. Everyone’s always super cool and inviting. They always make sure I’m taken care of- and it’s a nice feeling when other places can feel disconnected. I got the Artimas Gordan today (with avocado - highly recommended add-on) as well as a macchiato (not pictured) and both were amazing. I forgot to ask for the Gouda cheese which is also highly recommended (asking for the cheese, not forgetting to) which would’ve taken it up another level but it was still a 10/10. You can’t find a better breakfast sandwich in the area. If you challenge that, I’m down to try your spot but I’m telling you- try this one! The little fruit cup is an add-on but for $1.50, your gut will thank you. Get that fiber in! Also, the book was obscure and made me chuckle so I figured I’d share it since I took a pic lol. P.s. Lyle is a great employee. Give that man a raise! 😜

We visited for the first time this morning. We both had breakfast, no coffee. The service was excellent, though you will have to wait a bit longer than expected for food. The food itself was better than expected! We've already talked about going back soon!

The decorations are hip, trendy, clean and eye catching. The food is made to order, crispy and delicious. The tatter tots - totally a must have! The staff are friendly and inviting and if I lived close by this would be a place to frequent with a laptop to study or a book to read. Stay a while and soak in the vibe.

Google
1st time coming here and all around loved this place! Servers here are so kind, friendly and patient. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but they took the time to explain their options. The music choice here is fire! I can study and vibe at the same time! Glad I got to experience this place.

Google
Great place for coffee and light nosh. The tater tots are so crunchy and yum. Food comes out quick and hot. The interior is so interesting and has unmistakable cool vibe. Fresh fruit topped on both our orders was like it was picked and dropped right onto our plates.

Google
Had breakfast bagel sandwich very good with side of tater tots wow seasoned perfectly! Husband had french toast he said it was great! Cute little coffee spot and breakfast joint go check them out!

Google
Hands down the best coffee spot in Port St. Lucie. Coffee's perfect every single time, food is outstanding, and the atmosphere just makes you wanna stay and chill. Staff is super friendly too. Highly recommend Steamworks—it's a local gem.

First time coming here, decided to try it out and I have to say that it did not disappoint. The place is very nice, unique, live the decorations. The lady at the order desk was very nice, beautiful smile, and on to the food I give it 10 stars. Very good breakfast, love the toast, bacon 🥓 got to love the bacon. Overall it was a wonderful place, very chill, definitely will come back.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and met up with some friends here. Honestly, I was expecting this place to be terrible, given PSL appears to be a sleepy town. I couldn't have been more wrong The vibe in this place is chill, hipster, pop culture fun meets steam punk. Great place to chat with friends, but it'd be tough to sit a group larger then 4. The coffee is a 8/10, and that's coming from a big coffee snob who makes espresso at home. There's so many awesome flavors and variety of drinks, as well, that even none coffee lovers will enjoy. The food was shockingly good. I thought I was just gonna get some meager pastries or premade sandwiches all. No, these dishes are CRAFTED. Also, they are not small plates you might think you'd be getting at a cafe. These are full on meals. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh. This is a great spot to vibe with friends and family while still enjoying the drinks and food you're indulging in. Don't skip this one, go enjoy!

Yelp
The decor of this place is really great. Very industrial, plenty of place to sit. The menu is grand. Up on the wall, there's a giant digital menu (Desserts should have two "s" or you'll be parched in the desert). Great titles for their breakfast features. I believe mine was the Thomas Edison. It was very good. I did wish it came with home fries instead of potato tots. The cashier is also the barista so if there's a line (it does get busy), be prepared to wait. A nice place for a coffee drink and maybe a networking breakfast.

Yelp
Great coffee at normal prices Great breakfast treats that are made fresh. Excellent service from nice people Try it!

Yelp
We were looking for a place I eat breakfast. We checked different places on yelp and decided on SteamWorks. It was not far from the hospital. It's in an old shopping center. The inside was so cute. You ordered at the counter and they bring it to you table. Service was good . The girl answered all our questions. We ordered eggs with a croissant and bacon and seasoned tater tots. We also ordered a sandwich with apples, cheese, bacon and nuts with fries. We split both meals. The food was delicious.

Yelp
The Steam Works Coffee Bar was opened in the Palm Plaza shops in April, 2021. I was shopping in this plaza when I stumbled upon this adorably themed steampunk cafe. Steampunk is where the past and the future collide, Victorian England meets technology. Machinery is powered by steam and the punk is a reference to cyperpunk. Elements are drawn from fantasy, horror, historical fiction and it takes inspiration from Jules Verne, H. G. Wells. Steampunk clothing is inspired by the fashions of the Victorian Era in England (1837-1901) and the Belle Epoque in France (1871-1914). Gears, goggles, and hats accent the outfits. The Steam Works Coffee Bar uses fair-trade, co-op, organic, single-origin coffee from small-batch roasters in Florida. Different roasts are chosen depending on season. Beans are ground before making the drinks for optimum flavor. The menu features a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks along with breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, and salads with steampunk referenced names like The Tardis, The Thomas Edison, and the Wayfarer. For dessert there are tempting bakery treats. For my drink I ordered the Ghost Latte, an iced latte from the Spooky Specials menu and made with caramel and marshmallow. The rich taste of the coffee was the perfect contrast to the sweet syrup. For lunch I chose the Aeronaut made with oven roasted slices of turkey, bacon, on white or wheat toast with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and steampunk fries. The delicious sandwich was massive and more than I could finish in one sitting. The Steam Works Coffee Bar offers different events which are posted on their board. Upcoming events include a Stella B. book reading on October 10th and a steampunk costume day on October 26th. Everyone who wears a costume can get a free drink so all time travelers should put that on their calendars. I love the coffee and food but I also appreciate how this local coffee bar also strives to bring the community together. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the Port St. Lucie area.

Yelp
Quaint coffee shop on US-1. Stopped in to return some emails, grab coffee and a quick breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The gouda cheese on the sandwich wasn't fully melted on the sandwich, maybe request specifically next time. Iced coffee was great, a little sweet but that's because they added flavored syrup. Usually we opt for coffee without syrup but the hazelnut syrup is still not very overbearingly sweet. While sitting inside it appears alot of people get takeout orders from here. There was a consistent rotation of customers for sit in and takeout. Looks look a, pretty well known café in the area.

Yelp
Food was good ! Coffee was good ish too, I told them I would like rlly sweet but it was normal haha place is nice kinda gets packed and not a lot of room. A lot of new hires so they didn't know what to recommend, but very nice!

Yelp
The food was fresh and tasted good. Drinks were great too. The woman that served us was friendly and pleasant, and very helpful. The ambiance of the establishment was cozy, with bits of americana and coffee lore adorning the walls.

Yelp
Steamworks CoffeeBar is decidedly out of place in Port St. Lucie, but quite pleasantly so. I was asked to meet for coffee at Steamworks at 11:30am on a Tuesday. I had an easy but long drive from Orlando, and arrived 30 minutes before my companion. There were five other patrons occupying two tables, so I had no difficulty getting a seat or quickly getting a good cup of coffee. The atmosphere is relaxing and the music mix was good. Music was loud enough to hear it but not so loud that I needed to raise my voice to be heard. There is an as-expected Steampunk feel to the space and my initial impression was that if one took Aunt Matilda's Steampunk Trunk out of St. Augustine, moved it a 150 miles South and turned it into a coffee house, it would be Steamworks. It's a good thing and I could see myself being a repeat customer if I lived in the area. Menu is interesting, but not necessarily very different from any other breakfast or lunch spot. Food looked good coming out of the kitchen but I did not try any. My companion ordered a moist and flavorful -- or so I am told -- chocolate muffin. As noted above, my coffee was good. Not great but definitely good and a cup that I would have again. Counter servers were responsive and efficient.

Yelp
The is hands down the best coffee and breakfast/lunch place. We came in for coffee one morning based on Yelp review. It did not disappoint. Every coffee we ordered was beyond excellent. I personally ordered the seasonal special, silk latte (mocha coffee) hot and it was perfect. We only had coffee so we came back based on another patron that was raving about the food. Good thing we returned the next day to have "brunch". We ordered couple of "The Industrial Revolution", sandwich and burger. The burger is a must. So flavorful a yet simple. Ordered the same drink but iced....just as good. The barista is efficient, patient, and kind. Nice place to sit and enjoy the creative decor.

Yelp
Be careful! A few issues.. 1. They advertise $10.99 for a bagel egg sandwich but they charge $11.99 because it has egg in it. Wait what?! They didn't tell me before hand. I noticed it on my receipt. 2. They charge the customer for using a debt card which breaks the federal law AND state statute. Illegal! I work hard for my money, as we all do, and I don't appreciate the shady, illegal, practice. REFUND. We won't be back. Kekes is an amazing place to go and that's where we went.

Yelp
Too Expensive I Love making Coffee at and Tea At Home to Save Money! This was in Kitterman Plaza now moved to next to Print House Plaza across the street from Racetrack. It looks really small too!

Yelp
We have tried to eat at every breakfast restaurant and we found SteamWorks. Cute inside and one goes up to the counter to order and pay. There is a side bar to get extra napkins, sweeteners for coffee, and cream. The man from the kitchen came out to deliver the food while our waitress brought the coffee. I had my basics over easy eggs with sausage and my son had his in a bread bowl with lots of breakfast food covered in sauce. Everyone was very friendly and caring. The place is very clean. All in all it was a lovely experience.

Yelp
Everything about this place is immaculate! The Vanilla Latte with Lactaid Milk & the Thomas Edison with the steampunk tots had me asking for more. It was supposed to be "to go" - but it was to-go in my mouth right away. Service was amazing and welcoming. Our new Spot

Yelp
Amazing food, service and coffee, oh my goodness, best place in Port st. lucie, the vibes are great too, love the ambiance. Get the Nutty monkey, it's phenomenal!

Yelp
Food - Ehh Service - Ehh. Ambiance - Small. Dark. Funky. Industrial. When: 11:45am - Lunch time Party: 2 people. 1 table. Arrive: One other table, but leaving. Departing: One other new table of 2 dining. One patron getting a coffee to-go. One pickup order. Over all: Slow Time spent: 45-50 minutes? Cashier/Runner: Nice, but the concept is so Bizzaro. So I don't want to ding her too much. Here is why... *Walk in... Sit at a table? Yet there is menu on the wall over the counter...and there is a separate laminated menu at the register. *Grab a menu. *Place order with cashier. *Tip or not tip at the POS register? Is she waiting on us or not? Do I have to pick it up at the counter? Is there a number for the table? So, how much do with tip her if she hasn't even waited on us yet at the time of ordering at the counter? I dislike this dining concept. Are you fast food or not? Are we saving on payroll? I don't get it. Do I lower my standards for disjointed service and odd communication of the flow?) *Because we order simple beverages, she handed them to us to take to our table. Black cup of coffee and an iced tea. *We asked if she could turn down the fan. She didn't have a remote and there was no toggle pull. Told us which tables were the warmest. We moved and it was still cold. *They were out of the soup at 11:30am lunch time? I ordered the $9.99 breakfast egg special. Average eggs, tator tots (for breakfast?), bacon and toast. My friend had a sandwich with a tator tots. Both were average. Seems like there is a following for Steamworks. My friend and I both agreed, we won't be back. I didn't resonate with us.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, from the atmosphere to the Java! I've been hearing about this place and wanted Java so I stopped in. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
Fun little coffee shop that was hopping. Staff was super! The Zombie Grave Latte was good iced. Would recommend this place!!

Yelp
I like supporting local businesses and the food is really good, unfortunately the service is lacking. I waited over 40 minutes for a breakfast sandwich to go. It's a Sunday morning, so I understand it's busy, but this is unacceptable.

Marisa Sobel ..

Yelp
Coffee was good, ambience was nice and cozy. The avocado toast was more like bread with a side of guacamole. The people I were with got a breakfast burrito and a breakfast sandwhich, which were both good.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Love the food and the workers are so pleasant!! It is a great spot to eat and get some computer work done

Yelp

Yelp
Great little coffee house and brunch place. Order and pick up at counter. I ordered the waffles with fruit and an iced coffee. My colleague ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. Portions are generous and good quality. Be prepared to wait a bit for your order. Well worth it.

Yelp
3.5 A full kitchen attached to competent coffee shop. Very welcome breakfast stop; you should absolutely try the tater tots, they are a highlight. The steampunk vibe is unique. The weekly "meetings" calendar looks a bit sketch. The counter at the front also serves as the employee break area for the kitchen staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee shop and great customer service. The food is delish. The only thing that was questionable was the cold pressed juice with mango purée. Hopefully that ingredient is all natural with no artificial sweetener. I love the ambiance, breakfast and coffee here. Great place to work from your laptop or meet up with a friend.
google avatar

Merissa E.

Yelp
The ladies at the counter were so amazing!! The food and drinks were so good! I got the ebenizer iced which is white chocolate and cinnamon and you could taste both flavors very well! I also got the breakfast burrito and it was so flavorful the sausage was some of the best my husband and I have ever had!
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Service was good. We beat the crowd luckily. Picked up after we arrived. Guy working was super nice, but was just him up front. Coffees and the waffle was super sweet. Too sweet for me, but that's just our taste Egg sandwich was good tho!

Yelp
Admittedly, I have only ordered from SteamWorks on UberEats, so I haven't been to the physical location (yet!)... BUT I just had to come find them on Yelp! and leave a review because I am such a fan of their food. I've ordered from them twice with my roommate (both times getting variations of The Edison or The Wayfarer + different coffee drinks), and both times were [chef's kiss]. The food is tasty and fresh, and the coffee is fantastic. Definitely plan on physically going in sometime soon. Also - I have to also point out that they pack really smart for to-go. When I ordered the Wayfarer, they mashed the avocado and put it in a container separate from the toast. So many places I've ordered to-go from actually put the avocado ON the toast... which isn't very smart because then the bread gets weird. I appreciated that they thought about that.

Melissa R.

Yelp
Found this fabulous little coffee shop on vacay. Latte w/oat milk is delicious! Refreshing smile when ordering & background music is perfect. Bravo!
google avatar

Yelp
Want a quiet, local coffee shop that also has great food? SteamWorks is the place. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is the awesome steampunk decor, the clean dining room, and the friendly staff. The coffee selection is wide, and the food menu is robust. I tried one of the cheeseburgers, and it was excellent, including the fries. It's great to finally find a place is PSL for coffee and a bite that isn't some corporate behemoth. SteamWorks simply... works!

Jelsie P.

Yelp
Great place. Went while on vacation. Good taste great service and people. Small while in the wall

Yelp

Yelp
One of my most favorite coffee bars. They have a great variety if beverage options. The food options are deeeelicious! I'm stuck on that waffle! It's sweet and has fresh berries, bananas and a crunchy outside.. one of those things you're in danger of craving often! The service is great, friendly and swift. Everything is fresh, the atmosphere is very inviting and casual. Great place for a business convo or for just a quick coffee stop. Ir a long coffee stop! There's plenty if tables. So glad to have this place closer to my side of town!
google avatar

Jami W.

Yelp
Delicious drinks, delicious food, great atmosphere for a coffee shop! The juggernaut was smokey peppery and fabulous. The Nutty coffee drink was hazelnut, coconut, and toasted marshmallow which was also amazing. Overall loved absolutely everything

Carol A.

Yelp
Keep going down the road. Not worth the stop. Much better places to get good food in Port St Lucie. Customers are not appreciated. They could care less if you come in or not. The counter help has always been good. Boss has bad attitude toward nice people.
google avatar

Frank L.

Yelp
Very nice, comfortable place that actually makes superior tasting coffee. I'm not a coffee "snob" and to my taste it's very noticeable is high quality. Had a few food items and all were great. They serve tater tots as well! Staff is all very nice and usually something smooth and easy playing softly so it's quite nice and quiet place.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Very cute steam punk industrial vibe with friendly service. My fiancé had a regular coffee along with 3 scrambled eggs w American cheese, bacon, sausage, and fruit. He enjoyed his breakfast and said everything tasted very good. I ordered the Thomas Edison which is a create your own breakfast sandwich; I had eggs over medium with Gouda, bacon, and tomato on a croissant. The croissant was lightly toasted and buttered and was very good. Gouda slices weren't as melted as I would've liked, and the eggs were not very runny at all (I order over medium on sandwiches so they're a bit more cooked than over easy but still runny enough; these were closer to over hard). The bacon was thick cut and very good. I also got fresh fruit which consisted of blueberries, honey dew, and green grapes. They were out of a few things such as a particular drink I was going to order (pink punk elixir) so I had the nutty monkey instead (an iced style coffee) and that was really delicious. The girl working the counter/server had originally told us they were out of fruit and that they had hash browns, but they were actually out of hash browns which I was fine with as I would rather have fruit, but my fiancé did want hash browns. It wasn't very busy while we were there, but still waited about 15-20 minutes for our order. I didn't mind the wait, but breakfast food (simple items like eggs, bacon, etc) doesn't normally take that long to prepare, so I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush. Overall we had a nice experience and love to patron local places, but next time we'll try some of their lunch items...we rate them at 3.5 stars, but choosing a 3 because of the long-ish wait, the overcooked eggs (if you are a breakfast and coffee house you should be spot on with eggs), and not having menu items available (especially one that is offered with every breakfast dish).
google avatar

Terry L.

Yelp
Great place to get a good cup of coffee. The food is so good. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Lots if room to sit and enjoy. No drive-through, big parking lot. They periodically have entertainment. It is the only coffee shop in a few miles so stop in and say hi to Michael Baumgardner the owner and his staff, sit down and enjoy good coffee and food.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
As first timers it was beyond our expectations - the friendly staff was patient with us ordering , the food was phenomenal && the drinks were amazing. Will definitely be back to have lunch. For breakfast we ordered: the bombardler bowl which is a fresh homemade sourdough bowl filled with deliciousness (eggs, ham, sausage and bacon) and topped with homemade sausage gravy and a side of hash browns. the argent which was 2 homemade waffles topped with bananas & maple syrup. The waffles had a sweet crunch. The bananas were grilled perfect. the wayfarer which is 2 avocado, tomato and onion topped toast with hash browns . To drink: we ordered the pink pink which was refreshing and an Americana coffee.
google avatar

Linda U.

Yelp
Unfortunately was trying to call to see the wait. Was hung up on thought maybe was a mistake so I called back and was hung up on again!!! Would definitely take my business elsewhere!!!

Kristi C.

Yelp
Super cute little coffee bar with good food and friendly staff. Happy to find a good local coffee place right around the corner.

Yelp
If you rate quality of service, quality of product and affordable menu options as worthy of a 5 star review, then SteamWorks qualifies on all counts. My husband works at a clay studio just up the street and this part of US1 is devoid of coffee and breakfast options as far as we thought. We love Sounds Good Records, which is in the strip mall next to this one, so I figured I would give it a try. I was immediately greeted and made to feel at home. I noticed a breakfast special, 2 eggs, bread of choice, sausage or bacon and tots for $5.50. What? Are we partying like it's 1999? I don't think Denny's charges those breakfast special prices anymore! Yes to affordable food for husband. Husband declared tots delicious and the portions generous. They had a spice to them that provided more flavor than expected but just the right crisp crunch. We ordered on wheat toast, scrambled eggs no cheese with sausage and the sausage also had the right hint of spice and was a decent sized patty. Sandwich was not greasy. It was exactly made to the directions that were given. When I asked for large Americano, I did not get a lecture about Venti vs Tall. I got a filled to the absolute brim you get your money's worth real Americano with espresso to the delight of my husband and with hugged by an adorable plaid tartan sleeve. Owner and staff were over the top courteous even explaining to the elderly gentleman behind me how many patrons were ahead of him in food prep and what the ETA was. Gentleman was in no rush, but appreciated the detail. Honestly, the wait was negligible. I loved the carefully considered steampunk decor with wood features, iron/metal and expected hip soundtrack -not blasting but enhancing. The crowd was a mix of ages but with such a considerate host, lot's of well caffeinated smiles were observed. The vibe of the space is welcoming, unpretentious, and the coffee quality is worth lingering for.

Noah K.

Yelp
Food and coffees are pretty good, but sometimes the service seems chaotic. Even so, they're all friendly and kind. I enjoy the atmosphere and decor, and it's a chill place to hang out. Highly recommend, just give some grace for when things are a little busy.

Yelp
Went for the first time with another couple and our 3 year old daughter for breakfast. Wonderful selection of salty or sweet options and coffee selection was also impressive. We went with the waffles, French toast, breakfast burrito, and blt with egg. Everyone loved their respective meals. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Superb Brazilian blend coffee. Awesome creative drinks. My avocado toast was the legit the best I've had around the world. So so flavorful. Seasoned to perfection. The staf was so delightful!

Yelp
My food was decent took about 20 mins to get. The coffee was definitely burnt, well the shots were dead but what do you expect when the girl needs to take care of all of the guests and make all of the drinks by herself at a coffee shop? To the guy I'm assuming is an investor- older guy with glasses- you're a cocky lazy you know what. While she has a line of people to help and make drinks for, you yell out how you want an Ebenezer steamer...yep that's how rude and loud you are. Host your little gatherings else where and allow paying guests with children have somewhere to sit. Also if she's going to be making drinks she needs to have her hair pulled back not swinging all around in her face and the steamer pitchers. She works hard but needs to dress the part, if the health dept came in they would sure you for her hair being longer then shoulder length and being down. Yes I have experience so I am not just being judgmental. Good luck. Has an ability to be great and can be without the old guy with his steamer
