Oohhh man. This place itself is really, really cool. It's decorated beautifully and has a rustic-industrial vibe, which I love. High ceilings, steel beams, lots of wood and natural plant elements. It feels very fresh, new and inviting.
My husband and I came here for brunch. We both ordered a bloody mary which came with...a long rectangular slice of carrot? I don't mind carrots but I found this to be odd and prefer my bloody mary with the usual celery stalk. We also ordered a few donut holes to share. They were good. Then I ordered the chilaquiles. While I am no expert in Mexican cuisine, it appears whoever made this dish is not either. Unless they were trying to put their own spin on it? Either way, the tortillas did not taste homemade and they were very soggy in the middle as they were covered with roasted chicken and salsa verde. Traditionally this dish usually comes with more toppings (more than one egg, refried beans, guacamole) but this one had none of that. It reminded me of nachos-gone-wrong, which was unpleasant for brunch.
My husband ordered the corned beef hash. The menu stated it came with roasted potatoes, broccoli rabe and sauerkraut, which we both assumed would all be served on the side. Nope - it was all mixed into the corned beef hash. I know hash normally has potatoes in it, but the menu felt misleading. I also felt the broccoli rabe did not belong mixed into the hash as it added an odd stringy texture to it. There were green strings falling out of the hash as you took a bite, which was very unappetizing to be honest.
At this price point, our meals were very disappointing. We expected much higher quality for what they charged. Can't say I recommend. We felt a little ripped off upon leaving.
