"Steel City Pops, a Birmingham-based popsicle company, is leaving downtown Decatur and possibly Atlanta. Their shop on Church Street in downtown Decatur is for lease, with plans to remain open until a new tenant is secured. The company will also not be opening a planned location at Madison Yards on Memorial Drive in Reynoldstown. Steel City opened in 2012 in Homewood, Alabama, and now has 23 locations throughout the Southeast." - Beth McKibben

Steel City Pops is the best! Very fun flavors and options for eating your popsicle. Today they didn’t have as many options and were out of a few flavors of soda for the pop floats, but I still enjoyed a blueberry cheesecake pop float! Perfect for the hot summer day (or really any day of the year at that). Staff are very friendly and the location is really fun with great modern yet simple decor. I highly recommend visiting Steel City Pops, it won’t disappoint!

Wonderfully cute & sweet place, staff, & treats! Very well advertised for the “Pop Floats” by the brunette baby there, we decided to try some & well worth it! No where near as overpriced as I assumed. 2 “Pop Floats” 2 Ice cream Bars = $21 🤷🏻‍♀️ not too bad 🍦 Well worth the adventure if you’re around! 🍨 Mexican Food next door did majority of business in parking lot, we will have to go there soon!

Steel City Pops is a great, refreshing treat on a warm summer day. The vanilla bean and coconut are my favorites. My hubby like the Arnold Palmer. There is something for every pallet. Be sure to check them out.

I got the coconut with caramel drizzle and Graham crackers crumbs. Husband got the strawberry and creme with white chocolate drizzle and toasted coconut. Was delicious! A bit pricy but great refreshing treat.

Delicious cold pops with some nice flavors. Be sure to ask for a sample if you're undecided. Strawberry Shortcake and Hibiscus were good. Looking forward to SCP perhaps trying some ambitious combinations like coconut-lime or Mexican hot chocolate.

Delicious popsicles with many different flavor and topping options! I brought my entire mission team tonight and received great service! Kate was the only person on shift, and she handled our entire crew efficiently and with such kindness! She made our experience even better! Highly recommend.

UPDATE: Jan 2023. Well it's official, SCP is out of business. Why would these people buy a business only to run in down into the ground. Such a shame, such a shame. Love these. I have tried almost all the flavors and buttermilk is the best. Like cheesecake on a stick. The original owner has sold the business and the new owners don't have a working phone. Never heard of a business that doesn't have a phone to inquire about product availability.

Love, love, love this place. I've never had a bad one. But if you do they'll give you another one. Shared Strawberry Lemonade with my 7 yr old granddaughter tonight and we both agreed it's a great summer flavor. 2 thumbs up!
