Steel Hands Vista was amazing! They had one of the coolest bartenders- Max, that I’ve ever met, their IPAs were pretty good, and I absolutely loved the Christmas ambiance that they had set up. It was perfectly set up to feel warm and cozy without going over the top and feeling goofy. In addition, although I didn’t eat anything personally, all the food that I saw looked really good, with the fries looking particularly immaculate. Finally, they had a great live performer, who was awesome to watch and listen to! All-in-all, I loved Steel Hands Vista, and’ll definitely be back in the future!

Really enjoyed The Paloma and beer. The Burrata Salad with Pesto Vinagrette was delicious. The chicken sliders were good too! I really like the vibe and the decor was very aesthetically pleasing. Service was also great. We ordered at the bar and have been to their breweries where the staff doesn’t always check back to see how things are and we were approached multiple times during our visit. I will definitely be back when visiting the area again.

Great service! Ordered Brussels sprouts, crawfish Cajun poppers, and truffle fries from their tapas menu. Fries were amazing and could have eaten the ranch dipping sauce with a spoon. We did two flights in order to sample more of their liquor- pecan rye whiskey, Texas bourbon, vodka, gin, pineapple- Serrano cordial, and the pomegranate tangerine liqueur. Pineapple cordial was deliciously spicy and along with the gin were our favorites. Overall a great night and would definitely go back! Perfect addition to the Vista.

Google
10/10 experience. Stopped in for a bite and a beer tonight I can say nothing but good things; reasonably priced, good food and great beer. The best part was the outstanding customer service. I travel (and move) a lot for work, so enjoy stopping in local breweries while I'm out and I can say my bartender was the best to date! I wish I got his name, but recently moved her from Sacramento and he made me feel like a regular. Give this man a raise, if I'm ever back in the area will definitely stop back in for a pint!

This is my favorite place to go in the Vista for good food and beer. The place has a really cool vibe and atmosphere. Pictured are the Wagyu burger with fried onions and bacon jam and the Margherita pizza. Oh, and the beer…outstanding. My choice for the day was their Hefeweizen. Our server, Sam, was awesome…great personality and very knowledgeable.

Great location in the Vista. They had cocktails and Steel Hands Brewed beers. We had the fried chicken sliders, short rib sliders and truffle fries.

I came here by myself craving a gin cocktail on a Saturday night around 8:30PM... I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. I had two amazing gin cocktails, and one of them is my new favorite cocktail! I also had the pulled pork sliders which were absolutely incredible and delicious. It wasn't crowded, the vibe was great, and the bartenders were all attentive and friendly. I'm shocked Columbia has a place this good. I'll be back!

Google
First time at this location. Didn't really come for the distilled spirits which is what this location is mainly for but they did have a good selection of their locally brewed beer. Location is great and right downtown and there is a nice outdoor area with TVs as well. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
The beer was great and the patio was an excellent spot to chill on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The food was overpriced and out of the three things we got, the steak tacos were good. The chicken sliders were $13 and I didn't care for the taste. The $8 Parmesan Truffle fries used that plastic type Parmesan that you would buy at Walmart. For that price I would much prefer fresh shredded Parmesan especially since they are going with an upscale vibe in here. Overall I didn't get the vibe of this place and seemed to clash with this brewery's Cayce location's image. Will I come back to this location. Probably not. Parking is horrendous and the food is overpriced. If I want their beer, I would go to their Cayce location.

Yelp
Such an amazing surprise! Yelp Held an event for our "Yelp Elites", and I had a great time. They serve their beers, but this also a distillery- the only one in Columbia, and they make their own liquor! They have an amazing Pecan rye whiskey that actually tastes like roasted pecans without any of the usual bitterness. They also make a smoked gin that is so smooth and interesting. I'm sure it will make an excellent cocktail. They also make an Oaked gin - Gin that has been aged in oak barrels for a taste that bridges the gap between gin and whiskey in my opinion. Another thing I really enjoyed was the food. They have a full menu of real food - not just bar snacks. I had the steak frittes but was able to substitute a side salad since I'm on a diet and couldn't eat french fries. The steak was tender, but needed to rest longer before being cut because there was alot of blood on the plate. That would be my only negative critique. The side salad was huge and dressed with an amazing pesto vinaigrette.

Yelp
The sweetie and I dropped in after the State Fair for a quick drink. I had a tasty Tangerine Sour and her a fancy Pumpkin Spice Martini. Mine was excellent and she enjoyed hers as well. The staff is very attentive and the cocktail and beer offerings are pretty expensive. If you like Steel Hands beers, you'll like this. The space is pretty large too, with bar tables and sit down tables as well. There's a decent amount of outdoor seating too. We didn't have any bites, which are mainly pricey tapas options, but we'll see for next time.

Yelp
I had the privilege of being invited to the yelp event that steelhands was holding, and I will say I was thoroughly impressed with this place. The moment you walk in the doors, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The distillery is beautifully designed, which is exposed in the back so you can see the process. The biggest thing I love about this restaurant is everything is house made from the liquor down to the sauces like ketchup. I had a coffee mocktail, which was delicious, as well as the pecan whiskey. The menu features a small rotating selection, which I love to see! They gave us a tour of the distillery, which was informative and engaging. Will most certainly be coming back here!

Yelp
Enjoyed this place last evening. Had a couple of drinks which were excellent as well as a taste of several menu items. Service was courteous, friendly, and educational. We left with a 4 pack of Irish beer and are looking forward to drinking it during this coming weekend. We would return another time.

Yelp
We loved it! I think this will be our new go too for drinks and small bites. We typically go out of town for ambience and food and drinks. Steels hands did not disappoint we got try a few appetizers that were really good! Service was also excellent!

Yelp
Great cocktails and really nice staff, food was so-so. Spent a couple days watching the golf and really enjoyed the atmosphere!

Yelp
Steel Hands Vista is a phenomenal environment. While the Brewery in Cayce has a fun casual environment, the Vista Distillery has a more upscale feeling. The food and drinks are outstanding, and they have a very extensive cocktail menu. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My friend mentioned that he wanted to have a peppermint espresso martini at his wedding, a drink that was temporarily served at their Grand Opening. Unfortunately they did not have any for us to try, but our waitress mentioned this to their Operations Manager, Patrick, and he came to speak to us. Patrick was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He offered up his insights on how they made their cocktail and shared information on how they could serve it at their wedding, either with the SHD Peppermint Vodka or other options. He was not just giving us a sales pitch, but instead took a genuine interest in helping my friend have the best drink possible at his wedding. He even surprised us with a complementary martini, trying to recreate the drink that my friend said he wanted to serve. Their entire staff are some compassionate, generous, and knowledgeable people!

Yelp
Great service... great ambience. The distillery part is key... they make their own and really liked what we sampled... especially their bourbon. We always love their beers. Their menu is very very limited. My buddy couldn't find anything on the menu he wanted to eat. Hope they add more options to the menu.

Yelp
We had a party of 14 that enjoyed amazing drinks from martini's to beer and wine. The food and atmosphere were amazing along with a great staff. You need to check this place out.

Yelp
A one of a kind spot in Columbia. Great music and really good drinks. Good is also great too! Will definitely be my go to spot before Carolina basketball games.

Yelp
Great selection of beer. The live music was good. Great atmosphere for families on the weekend with kids. Self serve Menu is good for beer drinking. Not elaborate but good. Outside is wonderful on a sunny day.
