Set in CF&I’s historic dispensary, this museum tells the story of steel, mining, railroads, and labor that shaped Pueblo. Exhibits and archives illuminate the immigrant neighborhoods and industrial ingenuity that forged Steel City.

Interesting historical education of what the worker's life was then. Small place but has few cool things to see. Worth the entry price.

Well worth a visit to understand some of the history of steel making in Pueblo. Others have mentioned a tour guide but no-one available so we looked round on our own. There's plenty of display information but a guide would be helpful

Always a good time. They had books for the kids and crafts for them to do. . My grandson thought the Dr office was so neat.

Being new to pueblo, this is a great little museum that you can learn the history of this town the woman who runs.It is a fountain of knowledge i was shocked that there were no class trips going on. During my visit, because I think every school child in this town should go to that museum at least three or four times throughout their academic career

The staff here is some of the most unprofessional people I have ever had the experience of dealing with in my life. The two women in the office are extremely rude and have terrible customer service skills. I couldn't believe the way they spoke to my husband and I, who had needed to obtain the blueprints for our property for an emergency water line break that had caused over 80 families to lose their homes. We were told we would have to wait a week since they were planning a fundraiser and to come back the following Wednesday. When we returned the following Wednesday there was a sign on the door stating that they would be open, however nobody showed up all day. On the following Thursday we were told that they could not help us and proceeded to call my personal phone multiple times on different phone numbers where I had to block Christina's number so that she would stop calling me. Absolutely unacceptable.

Yelp
This is a well thought out museum that takes you on a journey from the inception of steel making in Pueblo, when the resources were drawn from the surrounding area, until the present day. The steel helped build the west and other parts of the country. It highlights the hardships of the people that made this possible and the interesting process making steel and steel products. Victoria, the curator/presenter, did an amazing job making the museum interesting with well designed and engaging displays. I loved discovering the myriad of historical items- medical equipment, machinery, clothing, and so forth. The historical architecture of the beautiful building is also a plus. Well worth the ticket price!

Yelp
a very interesting little museum that charges way too much for what it offers. However this does document the time when the steel mill ruled the area. It is in the company's old infirmary. It documents the people that worked these mills and how they lived. I would recommend it but not high enough to give a higher rating because it is just way too small.

Yelp
My family was skeptical about driving down from Colorado Springs just for the Steelworks Museum, but I made them go. We weren't disappointed. It's a great way to learn about the history of Pueblo's steel mill and all the CF&I Company's Colorado operations. They have tons of great old photos and the curator is awesome; she'll give you a free tour. You can't go inside the steel mill itself, but a variety of old movies give you a hair-raising introduction to the process of steelmaking. The exhibits cover everything from steel-making to the lives of the miners to the Ludlow Massacre to the only mining rescue train car still in existence. It's worth a visit if you're interested in steel, mining, CF&I, Pueblo, or Colorado history. Still, if they want five stars they're going to have to install and run some actual machines (or scale models) like the Western Mining Museum. They're expanding into a bigger building so we'll just have to come back to see what they do with all the new space.

Yelp
Some nice old medical equipment and history as its located in the old hospital. History on the steel mill, source of steel, and coal field wars. If you're in Pueblo definitely worth a stop.
