"In further boba shop news, Mission Local let readers know a youth-led nonprofit is taking over the Boba Guys storefront on 19th Street. The original Boba Guys location closed after claims of anti-union behavior from the company emerged. The new Steep Creamery and Tea is a customer-facing project from nonprofit Juma Ventures, an organization helping teenagers experiencing difficulties find income and job training. 'Some people hire young people to sell boba,' Lucia Fernandez-Palacios, the non-profit’s marketing director, told the outlet. 'We sell boba so that we can hire young people and give them jobs.'" - Paolo Bicchieri

Worst bubble tea I ever had! The tea is bitter af and the bobas are just agar pearls without any flavor ! Do not waste your money here…

My boba was delicious and the service was super fast!

It’s so hard to get bad boba (I LOVE boba) but this place really did it.. I ordered 50% sweetness and the cup is basically 1/4 syrup, insanely sweet to the point of undrinkable. The straw is also very difficult to poke through, see photo for all my attempts. It took 3 straws even after store employee’s help :( there are better compostable straws

I’m not picky when it comes to boba but this was truly horrible. I ordered the strawberry matcha with agar boba. The matcha was sour and the boba was very unpleasant.

Amazing Boba- my fave in the city! My go tos are the Hokkaido Milk Tea and Thai Tea.. seriously can't go wrong. I love the social good aspect as well.
