"There are some things New Jersey does as well as anywhere in the country: be the set of HBO shows, house the stadiums of other states’ sports teams, and serve great Italian food. Combine the bit about the Italian food with the fact that LBI has great seafood, and you get Stefano’s. This upscale spot in Beach Haven does straightforward Italian dishes really well, like eggplant parm and housemade meatballs, as well as seafood dishes, like crab-encrusted salmon over lobster mashed potatoes. But our favorite things here are the combinations, like local scallops over tomato risotto, and penne vodka with shrimp, scallops, and lots of crab meat. Bring some Chianti or barbera (it’s BYOB), and try to get a table on the outdoor patio if it’s nice out." - alison kessler, regan stephens, matt tervooren, tonya russell

Have been going here for years and it is consistently one of our absolute favorite places for dinner on the island! The chowder is out of this world (especially the New England) and the entrees are delicious. Portions are large and service is fast. It can get loud when full but not obnoxious. It's byo which is a plus. Always love our meals here!

Excellent meal. The slice of rainbow cake was a standout. Also, huge portions

I was hoping the food was going to be delicious especially due to the prices. The risotto was very good I got it as an appetizer. I got chicken parmigiana and my husband got seafood abbondonza. His dish was supposed to have marinara sauce but it was more like soup. Unfortunately, the marinara sauce on my chicken was not good at all. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Desert was good and our service was outstanding. Our waitress was great.

Stefano’s was such a fantastic experience. We did have to wait a bit for our table even with having a reservation, but that was quickly made up for by our amazing waitress and the delicious food. We got the burrata for app, and I got the peppercorn seared tuna, while my husband got the surf and turf. I swapped out some greens for the garlic mashed potatoes and that was a solid choice. Ambiance was great, the atmosphere is clean, upbeat and gives off a solid Manhattan like feel. The winner was dessert- an almond cone filled with cheesecake. I’m not kidding I could’ve eaten three of those things. If you’re looking for a great night out- (it is BYOB though!) I highly recommend Stefano’s.

The 4 of us loved our dining experience at Stefano's. Our server, Virginia, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. We shared the fresh, soft burrata, outstanding on crispy pieces of bruchetta. My sea bass was perfectly done, slightly crisped on the outside, buttery sweet and soft on the inside. Over yummy vegetables, and with a delicious sauce, it was a winner. My wife's scallops over risotto was superb! Being BYOB was great. The restaurant was pretty, but felt a bit crowded. Overall it's an excellent LBI restaurant!!

Stefano’s offers great service and ambiance at an Italian restaurant that’s all about its seafood. Most dishes have fish, whether it be their delicious scallops, flounder, shrimp or crabmeat. I think the best dish is the Broiled Fisherman’s Combo because it offers all of the shellfish, seasoned with Old Bay and served with fries. Amazing! Don’t forget about desserts - their coconut cake is to die for! FYI, it’s BYOB.

Our absolute favorite restaurant on LBI. We frequent Stefano’s often. Took a party of 12 and everyone loved the food and service. And the desserts are just as delicious.. highly recommend.. my personal score is a 9.2 on a 10 scale.

I can't say enough about our meal st Stefano's. From start to finish it was a very enjoyable experience. Our server, John, was extremely helpful, friendly and smiled the entire time. Beyond that the food was excellent. The New England Clam chowder was too due for (we got some togo as well)! My wife had Flounder Francese and i had a giant bowl of seafood and pasta. Impressive portions and superb quality. One of the best overall experiences we've had in a while.
