The 17 Best Restaurants Near Lake Chelan - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Despite being located in Washington’s most remote town—Stehekin is only accessible by boat or hike—the Stehekin Pastry Company is a must-visit if you’re staying near the lake. Since 1989, this family-owned bakery has served pastries, cakes, and pies from a quaint alpine cabin. Their cinnamon rolls are legendary, and yes, they alone are worth the two-and-a-half-hour ferry ride from downtown Chelan. A slice of sourdough pizza and a sticky bun taste particularly outstanding after a hike in the North Cascades." - carlo mantuano, emily burks

I stopped in for a sweet treat on the Rainbow Falls tour and found a nice selection of pastries. The bakery was busy, and I ordered a cinnamon roll. a Blueberry scone, and a piece of kuchen (shortbread) with mixed berries and cream cheese. You will find cookies, muffins, cupcakes, danishes, pie, quiche, savor croissants. and much more. The cinnamon roll was big and not really sweet with a nice taste to it. The blueberry scone had a nice flavor to it. The lunch menu has soup, sandwiches, salads, daily lunch specials, cold drinks, expresso, and ice cream. Located about two miles from the ferry landing with a shuttle bus, or you walk or rent a bike to the bakery, which is open seasonally. A nice place to stop for a bite to eat with cabins to rent, a gift shop, friendly service, and a wide selection of pastries.

This bakery is the best in every way! The food is absolutely fabulous! My niece and I only stayed 2 nights in Stehekin, but we loaded up on goodies to take home. The quiche was wonderful and ginger cookies. My niece loves scones! Cinnamon rolls oh my gosh were huge and so fresh. It was lovely to sit outside among beautiful flower beds. We also bought sandwiches for dinner and more quiche for our breakfast the next morning.

We came to the Stehekin Pastry Company on October 26, the last day of the season. Pastry was fresh and made from scratch. We had coffee and pastries and pre-ordered pies to take with us and share with our families and friends. Thanks for the heart warming atmosphere and delicious food. Cinnamon roll and kuchen are my favorites!

Super cute place, everything looks good. I found the quiche very dry and the kubcha berry cream cheese bar was good but $15 for both was surprising. The girl with the dachshund t shirt was super cute 😉 and service was great. Nice spot to relax and enjoy a moment... just wouldn't have chose to spend a 1/3rd of my time there....

For us, this is hands down the best bakery we've ever been to. The baked goods are real, handmade, delicious and a great portion & price. The lunch items we had were delicious too, they have a " day old' section with marked down items too! All set in a beautiful place with lovely landscaping.

Super friendly folks, great handmade/baked goods. We tried a little bit of everything on the breakfast menu (quiche was better than the breakfast biscuit I had) and also some lunch items (loved the veggie wraps with peanut sauce and peanut chocolate cups to go). Coffee is the best in Stehekin, they do drip and espresso! About 1.7 miles one way from the landing. Not a bad walk, especially in the morning. Highly recommend visiting here and getting a cinnamon roll or sticky buns

Great food here. All hand made and definitely worth the walk, bike, or shuttle. We came up from Twenty-Five mile creek state park on our boat and were able to dock at the Stehekin dock. They take card!

We stopped by here during out camping trip in Stehekin. I loved the atmosphere and the service! My friends tried their coffee and a brownie. I tried the mixed berry pie - it was pretty good! Not my favorite pie; it didn’t wow me. But, I think I’ll go back to try more of their offerings!
