24 Best All-inclusive Adults-only Resorts in the World

"A Crete-based resort offering lagoon-style pools and overwater bungalows that deliver a tropical feel in Greece—ideal for guests who prefer pool life over extensive beachfront. Beach space is limited compared with other resorts; gratuities and Wi‑Fi are included, no restaurant reservations are required, it’s roughly 25 minutes from the airport, and starting rates are about $400/night." - Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger left New York City for a life on the road. Stella Island Resort & Spa (Crete, Greek Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Stella Island isn’t an island, although it does sit on the coastline of Crete, but the collection of lagoon pools weaved around the adults-only resort might make you feel like you’re on one. The abundance of water means all the rooms have a blue pool view, and some, including the overwater bungalows and the villa, come with a swim up option for a private deck with direct pool access. When not swimming there are activities such as padel, cycling, and an outdoor gym. Post-work out the Anassa spa is just the tonic, home to a sauna, Jacuzzi, another pool, and Elemis beauty treatments. There's one bar, six restaurants, including a Greek-style taverna, a Mexican fusion cuisine and a steakhouse, and the option to go all-inclusive." - Tablet Hotels

We had the absolute pleasure of spending our vacation here for two weeks. An advertisement that reached me via Instagram caught my attention. To sum it up in advance: it was fantastic... this is the perfect place to spend your vacation, switch off, and relax. First and foremost: the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. It wasn't fake or forced; almost everyone lived it. An absolutely great facility. Very clean, tasteful, spacious, great rooms. The food was very good, on par with a 5-star rating. The buffet was extensive, varied, and very good. The separate à la carte restaurants are also worth trying, offering a slight upgrade. The pool area is very stylish and one of the most beautiful I have seen so far... Small wishes: Everything is designed for a week's stay, then it repeats itself. And a few more sun loungers, perhaps permanently assigned to the rooms... Otherwise: pretty much perfect,🤩 worth repeating. My special thanks: Ladi, Michael, and Anastasia....

We had the most incredible stay at Stella Island! From the moment we arrived, everything felt like pure luxury. The resort itself is absolutely stunning modern, elegant, and designed so beautifully that every corner feels like a dream. Our room with the pool view was spotless and so comfortable, and waking up every morning to that view was unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of — genuinely kind, attentive, and always with a smile. The food and drinks were excellent (so many options, and everything fresh and flavorful), and the all-inclusive package really made the experience feel effortless. The pools and grounds are breathtaking, and there are plenty of quiet corners if you want to relax, or more lively areas if you’re in the mood for a fun atmosphere. Everything about the property is so well maintained and thoughtful it really does feel like a little slice of paradise. If you’re looking for a romantic, relaxing, and luxurious getaway in Crete, Stella Island is absolutely worth it. We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by this hotel in every way. The food was absolutely amazing — every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was incredible; the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and that I felt truly welcomed. The night entertainment was incredible ! The hotel itself is spotless, with great attention to cleanliness throughout all the common areas. My room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it a relaxing place to unwind. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding stay!

Beautiful resort, would definitely come back! We went all inclusive and was really pleased that there weren’t surprise add ons which you find at lots of hotels. The dancers and entertainers were great, they worked very hard to put on great shows. The room, pools, restaurants and staff were all fantastic - lots of pool bar service and places to get drinks. The Greek restaurant in particular was great for lunch, amazing salads and seafood as you’d expect. The app makes it easy to order room service but it was a bit complicated to book the restaurants and spa so that was easier to do with the concierge.

I truly don’t know where to begin. Stella Island absolutely lives up to the hype! We stayed here for a girls’ trip to celebrate a birthday, and everything from start to finish was exceptional. Before our arrival, I reached out to the staff to help decorate the birthday girl’s room, and they executed it perfectly. Even to the point of helping to keep her distracted so we could sneak the presents into her room. From the beautiful flowers and thoughtful decorations to the delicious cake she absolutely loved it! The level of care and attention to detail, even before we checked in, was so refreshing and meant a lot to us. The resort itself is stunning and there’s plenty to do to keep you entertained. The check-in process is thorough, and while there's a lot of information, it helps you get the most out of your stay. A special shoutout to our golf cart driver, George he was fantastic and made getting around the resort so easy and enjoyable. This trip was so amazing that the birthday girl now wants to celebrate her birthday at Stella Island every year and trust me, she has high standards! Huge thanks to all the staff for making our stay unforgettable. You truly make a difference in the lives of your guests, even if you don’t always see it. Keep up the amazing work!

We stayed at this hotel at the end of April, at the beginning of the season, for a week. We loved our stay! The setting is magnificent and unique in Europe. We tried all the restaurants, and they were delicious, with some wonderful culinary discoveries. The staff is young and relaxed (which we like). A few tips: - When booking, request a west-facing room to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. - Download the Stella App as early as possible and book your restaurants upon arrival. - The swim-up rooms allow you to have sunbeds to yourself. - The all-inclusive option is worth it if you're staying at the hotel all day, eating or enjoying cocktails. - The prices at the souvenir shop are competitive compared to shops on the beach and in town.

Def Not a 5 star resort for those that have been to them. The overwater bungalows are actually terrible, rooms are so humid and small. Not 5 stars clean. Towels are old stained and some have rips. Employees are mostly very nice though. It kind of feels like a resort pretending to be 5 stars. Outwardly seems okay but a lot of the details are missing… the worst part was the sewer smell coming from the bathroom/ toilet at night.. they tried to clean it and spray something but it kept creeping back up at night..

We stayed in the luxury swim up room for a week recently. The hotel was beautiful and one of the nicest hotels we have been to. Whilst we were there we had the choice of 6 different restaurants, all were amazing and included in the all inclusive package. The whole time we were there the food was so good and it's great that you have the choice of all the different cuisines there. What I will say is, even though we were all inclusive we weren't able to go to the same restaurant for dinner more than once as it wasn't included in the all inclusive package, so we did have to eat at the buffet for dinner 2 out of 7 nights (still lovely and so much choice on what to eat but would of preferred to go back to the restaurants instead). The staff were so helpful and attentive whilst we were there, they even come round to you at dinner and rung us half way through our stay to make sure we are happy with everything! There aren't many faults with this place, however with the swim up rooms I would say an improvement could be how you can order your drinks at the bar throughout the day. The staff tend to go round to the ones using the sunbeds to take drink orders, however no one really came over to the people on the swim up rooms to take their order. This was slightly inconvenient as there was no app you could order from the bar (even though they do have an app to use throughout your stay) so we'd have to walk round everytime we'd want a drink or swim over. Which I thought they'd have something in place for this, considering we paid more for the swim up room so we don't have to look for a sunbed each day. We would definitely come back to Stella Island as apart from this everything was perfect!
